Vivian + clothing choices
It's my hc that SHIELD agents aren't supposed to let people know they work for SHIELD (Vivian's cover story is a separate hc). But at the same time, as Clint said in Avengers, "SHIELD has many enemies" and at least some of those enemies have the ability to know who SHIELD's agents are. Therefore, it’s reasonable for SHIELD agents to be cautious.
As a result of this, Vivian won't set foot outside her apartment unless she's able to handle herself in a fight. Just in case.
A large part of Vivian's fashion style is dependent on "can I fight in this?" So skirts have to give her freedom of movement. Tops can't restrict arm movement. She'll wear stiletto or platform high heels at home or in a club, but she won't wear anything out on the street that she can't run in or balance on one foot in. She avoids earrings and good necklaces, only wearing necklaces that will break easily so it can't be used to hurt her. Vivian prefers cuff bracelets and therefore avoids wearing bracelets at all. Modesty is not a concern; she really doesn’t care who gets a glimpse of tit or ass so long as she’s capable of punching them in the face.
Her hair is almost always tied up because she hates it in her face, but outside of her apartment it's usually french braided so that if someone grabs a hold of the pressure will be spread out across her scalp (I totally stole that from Tamora Pierce and Vivian absolutely got the idea from reading the Beka Cooper books). Often she goes a step further and pins up the braid so there’s less to grab (I will find a picture of Nicole Haught from Wynonna Earp for a perfect reference).

if you're still doing the Paper Mario sketch requests, I think it would be fun to see Vivian interacting with Luigi (and maybe even his dog, the Polterpup)
I am SO sorry for the delay!! I thought I would be able to get back to these quickly but I got busy and also may have caught some art block. I think I'm better now.
I know Luigi not getting respect is a running gag of Paper Mario, but I always felt like Mario and his partners falling asleep during Luigi's storytime was out of character. I think Vivian in particular would take interest in Luigi, and Luigi would get along well with her too (despite her ghost-like ability to hide in shadows). Adding Polterpup to this was fun! I think Vivian would love him, but they'd sometimes give Luigi a scare.
The lighter sketch in the top right is basically an abridged version of a small comic I roughly sketched out for this, but I scrapped it because it didn't really make sense and I suddenly forgot how to draw Luigi. The sketch in the bottom left came from me wanting to fill in the space, then realizing I never explored the fact they both have siblings, but have a very different relationship with them.
Thanks to everyone for being patient with me! I will begin work on the next one tomorrow, I hope I can finish them much sooner!

best ending: they talk it out after lewis wins his 8th wdc and we end up with brocedes in each other's lives again. lewis shows up on nico's yt channel. nico is on lewis' insta. vivian dogwalks both of them for letting the divorce last that long. i join the convent because this is clearly a miracle from god and reblog gifsets of brocedes interacting from the chapel. rinse, repeat.
ending we're most likely gonna get: whatever the hell we have now. nico talks about lewis. lewis will say karting is the best time of his career. for two seconds out of the year, lewis will say nico's name. i will sob, rinse, repeat.
worst ending: they shut the fuck up about each other forever. they process the divorce and move on with their lives without each other. i will go on tumblr and reblog angsty web weaves about their relationship and what could've been. i take psychic damage. rinse. repeat.

Vivian + BDSM
Vivian stumbled across her first BDSM website when she was all of 15.. It was a revelation: people who enjoyed getting tied up and hurt, in a way she thought she was alone in.
It didn’t take long for her to start searching for BDSM content online. Plenty of what she found was porn, but plenty of it was also healthy discussions on the topic, leading her to websites and books to look into.
Never having been one to waste her money, Vivian had several months’ worth of allowance to spend on dozens on books on BDSM, and ebay had no real age restrictions to stop her from buying the books she wanted.
Vivian read. And read. And read.
For years, reading was all she could do; even when she wanted to find someone online to talk to, anyone with a brain cell shut her down when they learned how young she was, and Vivian was too honest to lie - and too intelligent to trust the people who didn’t shut her down, because the decent adults had been clear on that issue.
For three years, it was just her and her imagination - her fantasies, and porn, and stories she read.
A few weeks after turning 18, Vivian made her plans to attend a kink conference out in Queens. Her father refused to drive her, so it was an adventure in public transportation. She showed up, wide-eyed and innocent.
In retrospect, Vivian is aware of how fortunate she was. She was a doe-eyed teenager with a head full of fantasies and no experience. She was practically begging someone to take advantage of her, and in another world, that’s what happened.
Instead, in this world, a porn actress whose name she can’t remember took one look at the innocent little thing standing in the doorway to the convention and took control. She introduced herself to Vivian, then took Vivian around the conventional hall, introducing her to everyone she knew. Vivian had her first experience with suspension bondage at the hands of a shibari expert. She got fitted with a corset by an expert corsetier, and then photographed by a well-known photographer - with her camera, so no one else could access the photos. She tried on leather, she tried on latex, she learned how different ropes felt on her skin.
On the advice of multiple locals, Vivian got marginally involved with The Eulenspiegel Society, attending their Novice Night munches and gatherings at Paddles, as well as any holiday parties they had, and their yearly convention.
Over time, she went from a novice herself to an established member of the group - even though she remains on its fringes. Vivian began showing up to novice night munches with a bag of ropes and toys for the actual novices to experiment with, and discovered that she loves teaching novices the ropes - so to speak. There’s a joy in showing someone how to tie a knot, or how to determine if a collar isn’t too tight, or now to bring a paddle down just right.
A large part of it is that Vivian feels indebted to the people who took her under their wing when she was just a baby. None of them ever asked for repayment, and so Vivian tries to pay them back by paying their kindness forward. They helped her find who she was; the least she can do is help others with the same.
