As an Aboriginal Australian whose family still deals with the trauma and who has lost culture, family and mob from the white Australia policy, colonisation and the stolen generation.

Please. Please understand.

If we say something like ‘please don’t use abo, either put the slashes in so it’s A/B/O or use omegaverse because to an indigenous Australian it is akin to calling an African American the N word’

I’m not invalidating you. I’m using a gods damned analogy.

Telling me it’s disrespectful because it’s not the same.

Look up black birding. Look up the stolen generations. Look up the white Australia policy.

You don’t want to do that- watch rabbit proof fence.

And remember- the girls shown in that movie? It’s their story.

Using an analogy that people know- and I hope to gods everyone knows that the N word, unless you are African American, the n word should not be used- because it points out the severity of it.

So please. If someone says ‘don’t call this cultural group a slur made to dehumanise them because it is the same as calling an African American the n word’ don’t argue with them or tell them they are being disrespectful.

Don’t tell them they don’t know.

Cos honestly? I know a lot more about the cultural struggles and slavery of African people by the English then most people know about Indigenous Australians and the attempted genocide and forced labour.

Kids were still taken away from their families into the 1960’s, never to be returned.

My own family- well. Let’s talk about that. My great-great grandmother? Was twelve when she had her first child.

Her daughter- my great grandmother? Was thirteen. After twelve pregnancies? Her white husband died. So she lied to keep her kids. “No sir, I’m Javanese. I’m not black fella.”

My grandad and his siblings would watch their cousins be dragged away screaming and never saw them again.

Those kids would have likely been adopted into white families- and often not told they were Aboriginal.

But we don’t know the harm a word can cause.

This is ‘not slavery’ in the eyes of some.

If anyone can tell me how to cover pics I would appreciate it. It is disrespectful to view images of our people after they have died but I refuse to have my cultural history invalidated.

An accurate omegaverse

Something that kinda ticks me off about the omegaverse is that it's just another version of reality but with all that other stuff added. If humans did really evolve to produce pheromones, the instinct to mark, knot, or all that it would definitely have an effect on human culture, religion, and customs.

Say for example, same-sex relationships. It would be more normalized in ABO since you don't strictly need a male and a female to mate. In ABO people would prioritize secondary-genders more than the primary-gender, so at this point why would early humans even distinct primary-genders.

What rules would religion instate on the people? Would marking someone whilst not having sex with them be considered a sin? Would oral knotting be considered taboo? Would an omega on top be considered wierd?

Let's not forget the historical aspect of this either. An important thing to have in a kingdom is an heir to take over, so how many marriages would not happen if they were just not compatible with eachother. What if George VI and Adelaide had been born both alphas, would the victorian age happen? If Napoleon was totally serious about making Alexander the great his mistress, would he in this universe?

All of this without mentioning clothing, linguistics, wars, relations with other homonid species, literature, courting, etc. etc. It would be so interesting to know about a fully fleshed out omegaverse history.

i get into a horrific car accident while carrying a crock pot full of meatballs in the passenger seat. at the hospital, the surgeons cannot sort out which chunks of meat are me and which are not, so I end up with several meatballs sewn into my guts. despite this I make a full recovery, and they elect not to remove the meatballs because quote 'they seem comfy in there.' i go on the talk show circuit and become moderately famous as The Meatballs Woman. when i die i am buried under a gravestone with meatballs carved on it. in the year 2438, a grad student from what is now Cambodia who is studying the late pre-collapse American Empire writes her thesis on this, concluding that I probably never existed and was a conflation of several real stories and urban legends. years later, a pop-history book wildly misinterprets this and several other things, arguing for the existence of a historic American religious pantheon including figures like The Meatballs Woman, Florida Man, Emperor Norton, etc. this book sells bizarrely well and inspires a new neo-pagan movement, which in turn leads to a weird shipping community, resulting in a small but vibrant scene of ABO fics featuring me and MrBeast (who in this context has been interpreted as a god of excess and trickery)

I'm like, 4'11" to 5'0" depending on if I have shoes on or not. I have seen other women shorter than me, but not often. I swear I haven't physically changed since I was 14, and I'm twice that now. By principle, every guy I find attractive is like a tree compared to me lmao.

About the Book

Twenty-four is one year too young for a quarter-life crisis, but hey, Colin's always been an overachiever. Especially now that Colin must navigate politics, paparazzi, and legal questions about his personhood. Colin's still angling for his Happily Ever After, but the growing scrutiny on his relationship with Dav threatens their budding romance. And if he's not careful, Colin's fight for agency may just destroy symbiotic human/dragon relationships worldwide.
