Millie's sister Sallie May is both a lovable character and a great example of representation in media. The fact that Sally is transgender isn't relevant to the story, so it is never brought up; but it isn’t hidden from the viewers either. Compare this to shows that overemphasize the gender and sexuality of the character, to the detriment of both the story and the character.

Advertisements feature heavily in the world of West End. Inspired by the advertising campaigns of the early to late 1900s, the advertisements in the story offer insight into the beliefs and attitudes of the various sinners and hellborn that go about their day to day life in Hell.

TEMATLALEHUA (Tema)

Biological Age: 16

Chronological Age: 496

Inspired by BlazBlue’s Taokaka

Tematlalehua, better known by her nickname, Tema, was a Mexican native born and raised in the old ways of the Aztec peoples even as the Spanish consolidated their conquests over Mexico and forced their indigenous subjects to convert to Christianity. Due to what some believe was a blow to the head by an abusive Franciscan missionary, Tema, declaring herself to be an avatar of Huitzilopochtli, went on a year long murderous rampage across Spanish Mexico, slaughtering countless Spaniards before being gunned down.

In Hell, Tema continued to bring her bloody justice against the “Centzonuitzana” (Europeans) until she was enlisted by Viy, who fooled Tema into believing she was a servant of Coatlicue, the Aztec mother of the gods. Placed in the infamous Iron Column, Tema slaughtered countless demons with her deadly macahuitl, a wooden club with several embedded exterminator blades. Despite her insanity, and miserable lack of social awareness, she formed a close bond with her fellow column soldiers, particularly Likho, who she promised to one day sacrifice, so that he might join Huitzilopochtli in his divine battle.

Raider Girl is a young female member of an unnamed Raider gang who usually talks with copious amounts of foul language. Standing just shy of 5’4”, she is always seen wearing her sack mask, even when nude. She is believed to smell strange, and her stench often attracts nearby Deathclaws. She is able to see past the 4th wall and often uses this to avoid imminent death, and pick fights with her audience, and her creator.

She is notorious for writing shipfics of people and monsters. Despite only ever writing these for herself, her works have somehow gained circulation across the entire Wasteland.
