[TASK 117: THE WABANAKI CONFEDERACY]
In celebration of November being Native American Heritage Month, here’s a masterlist below compiled of over 60+ Abenaki, Maliseet, Mi’kmaq, Passamaquoddy, or Penobscot faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. The Wabanaki Confederacy was a powerful confederacy of indigenous peoples in the US and Canada founded in 1606 of the the culturally and linguistically related Abenaki, Maliseet, Mi’kmaq, Passamaquoddy, and Penobscot tribes. The Wabanaki Confederacy broke apart in 1862, but have since reestablished their confederacy as of 1993. If you want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever faceclaim or whichever project you desire.
Any questions can be sent here and all tutorials have been linked below the cut for ease of access! REMEMBER to tag your resources with #TASKSWEEKLY and we will reblog them onto the main! This task can be tagged with whatever you want but if you want us to see it please be sure that our tag is the first five tags, @ mention us or send us a messaging linking us to your post!
THE TASK - scroll down for FC’s!
STEP 1: Decide on a FC you wish to create resources for! You can always do more than one but who are you starting with? There are links to masterlists you can use in order to find them and if you want help, just send us a message and we can pick one for you at random!
STEP 2: Pick what you want to create! You can obviously do more than one thing, but what do you want to start off with? Screencaps, RP icons, GIF packs, masterlists, PNG’s, fancasts, alternative FC’s - LITERALLY anything you desire!
STEP 3: Look back on tasks that we have created previously for tutorials on the thing you are creating unless you have whatever it is you are doing mastered - then of course feel free to just get on and do it. :)
STEP 4: Upload and tag with #TASKSWEEKLY! If you didn’t use your own screencaps/images make sure to credit where you got them from as we will not reblog packs which do not credit caps or original gifs from the original maker.

Story
Before the game
Kira was born and raised in Wayhaven, Vermont (Headcanon WH location cause I think it’s cool) to Blake and Rebecca Hudson. She spent most of her childhood with her father, walking around the woods, playing the guitar with him… even if his job took most of his time. Well not as much as her mom, though, who could be absent from weeks on end. She had a cool nanny, though, a big bearded man you’d think would be more fitted for woodcutting than childcare. Her dad’s passing when she was 6 (HC again, I want her to know her dad more) left her confused and angry, and physical activites wasn’t always enough to channel it. Rebecca took the brunt of it, it’s easier to have someone to blame, than to have nowhere to let your anger go. Her curious mind and physical disposition got her through the first stage of education with ease, and she was able to go to university in the Big City to study criminal justice, where she met Bobby and dated him for a while until… Well, you know (asshole.) Though she actually started working at the Wayhaven precinct at 21 after obtaining her Bachelor’s degree, she continued to study for her Master’s degree, leading to 2 exhausting years juggling work and university. She never expected to become a detective this early, only 6 years after she started.
In Game
Kira joined the police force because she had to in order to avoid jail time. When meeting Unit Bravo, she actually resolved to shoot Adam, despite never having shot at a live target before. She doesn’t go out as much as she would like because she is so taken with her job, nor does she date, having a hard time opening up to people in a romantic way. She accepted the existence of the Supernatural pretty quick, being very excited to learn more about them, but she was wary about the Agency and thus did not do the tests they wanted.
Despite their jarring differences and the animosity between them, she cannot help but feel pulled towards Adam, to the delight of Felix and Nate it would seem. When facing Murphy, she got bitten on the neck and joined in the fight against him, managing to inject him with the dangerous pure DBM.
Now word is there’s a carnival coming to town, which is a very excitng prospect ! But the strange growing illness is definitely a concern. But she is thankful to have Unit Bravo with her, more than happy to join her friends, even if the situation with Adam is most… Confusing.
Hobbies
- Music /listening to it, finding cool vinyls, playing the guitar, a bit of singing/
- Walking /whether it’s walking around the city, or hiking in the forest around Wayhaven. She used to go fishing with her nanny on the week-ends/
- Training /she likes to stay in shape and spends some time each week at the gym. Imagining the training dummy is either Bobby, Murphy or Adam helps a lot./
- Reading /Mostly non-fiction, she enjoys learning new things/
- Cooking /She’s not the best baker, as she prefers winging it. Her dish may not be the most visually appealing, but they sure taste good. She likes brewing her own weird drinks too/
- Thrift - Antiquity shopping /Her apartment is a clutter of strange curiosities she’s found in yard sales, thrift shops and antique shops. She enjoys looking for that one thing that sparks her interest/

Hello! This is not exactly rp-related, but I'm doing some fanart that will include a First Nation character, and I'm hoping you can help me find a fc for reference, or direct me to someone who can, please? I *think* he is of the Abenaki tribe, but the book isn't very clear on this, and he could also easily be from any Iroquois tribe from Quebec. I can work with faceclaims of any age. Thank you so much for your help!!
anon: Hello, it’s the First Nation fanart anon again! I re-re-read the canon material and it would seem the character is *not* actually from the Abenaki tribe… rather, he is most likely of the Iroquois Confederacy (comprised of the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, and Seneca First Nations, according to the Canadian govt website).
Robbie Robertson (74) Mohawk.
Graham Greene (65) Oneida.
Gary Farmer (64) the Cayuga Nation and Wolf Clan of the Haudenosaunee/Iroquois Confederacy.
Tyler Christopher (44) Seneca & Choctaw Nations ancestry.
Derek Miller (42/43) Mohawk.
Michael Hudson (??) Mohawk.
Aaron Printup (??) Tuscarora.
Tyler Hill (??) Mohawk.
Bear Witness (??) Cayuga - I’d google “Bear Witness A Tribe Called Red” to get images of him since it’s a pretty common phrase.
DJ Shub (??) Mohawk.
Tim “2oolman” Hill (??) Mohawk.
Orris Edwards (?) stared in Crooked Arrows - Iroquois-Onondaga.
Brendt Thomas Diabo (?) Mohawk.
Logan Staats (??) and Jace Martin (?)  I don’t know their exact tribe but he’s from the Six Nations Reserve so they’re one of the 6 of the Iroquois.
The Iroquois includes the Tuscarora too!
Thanks to @olivaraofrph for most of these suggestions! -C
