With the new Space Marine II game coming up I have to admit I kind of like Leandros.
Don't get me wrong, he is an absolute little shithead, but I find him rather endearing. There has been a lot of “by the book” Ultramarines in the literature over the years and most of them are little shits with few rederming qualites. But Leandros reminds me a bit of Learchus from the Uriel Ventris books (who is actually a great character)
Ok “a bit” is generous, he does pretty much the same thing and snitches on his captain. It is pretty obvious Titus is just a mashup of Ventris/Sicarius/Numitor and they have taking plotlines from all of these captain’s books.
The thing is, Learchus gets a redemption arc (it only took... *counts on fingers* 18 books 😅). And I want to see Leandros get the same thing.
But as a sidenote, I would like to see a book from Learchus POV. That would be so interesting, he is the best of the best, has an insane lineage of heroes, in any normal case he would have been the Hero, but he keeps getting one upped by this weird farmer boy, over and over again. Emperor’s throne, Learchus is just 40k Vegeta isnt he?

Oh, and here's the new Inquisitor I made! Abantic Adaar, mage with the plan to romance Blackwall. Her name should roughly translate to Frozen Sea in Qunlat, born in the dead of winter on the coast of the Waking Sea.
