Ethel Cain and THE 'House in Nebraska'
"That house narrowly escaped total demolition because the owner had scheduled a wrecking company from Atlanta to come down and disassemble it and sell it for parts! But a local guy has purchased it and is fixing it up for his daughter." - vanishinggeorgia.com
'Then the day came and you were up and gone And I still call home that house in Nebraska Where we found each other on a dirty mattress on the second floor'

. . .
Anonymous asked: the wasden house is being renovated :(
mothercain: i’ve seen! the new white paint does look quite pretty and it doesn’t seem as though it’s changed too much from the pictures i’ve seen. i haven’t driven over there since i’ve moved back though so maybe i will take a little drive soon. for the sake of my own mental health, i will be telling myself the owners are smart and would never dare put grey shiplap anywhere near that house.
