Suicide only transfers your pain into those people you left behind that love you and care about you ♥️ No one is immune from depression and sadness and no amount of money, privilege or perception of perfection can shield us from vulnerability. We are strong and we are mighty but we can still be fragile and brittle. We are but only human. Checking in on your loved ones, your friends and family is the best way to show you care but remember that you and your mindset matter too, and you can’t just set yourself on fire just to keep others warm - your mental health matters too. 🙏🏼 There is no one cause of suicide, and it’s often the result of a number of risk factors, stressors, and experiences combined. There’s so much to live for so take care of yourself and lookout for those around you. You are amazing and there is good help out there. Depression and mental health is nothing to be ashamed of and those that shame you should be ashamed of themselves. We need to tell our amazing men to speak up not man up to their thoughts and vulnerabilities. The suicide rate for men is much higher because we’ve instilled in them to be our rocks that never break where the only thing that needs breaking is that stigma. Steer clear of toxic personalities and environments that just don’t sit right with you and try not to enable and ok negative behaviours, it’s a traumatic response and it gives the negative behaviour a sense of power and control - don’t feed that wolf. Ask questions before judging and don’t give in to an illusion. It may look like a flower but it’s actually weed, and visa versa. Create healthy boundaries to give you your safe space, and its ok to walk away.
