I’ve decided to T100 the Re:ZERO collaboration! Let’s review how it went. XD

WARNING! A rather image-heavy post

Step 1: Roll for Rinko! (She’ll make my team stronger) Strictly speaking, I didn’t need her (means more work though), but I thought maybe I’ll get lucky? ^o^

I only had enough stars for 3 10-pulls though, and I have to say, this paid gacha was really tempting... (my Twitter friends all got Rinko WTF)

We would quickly learn that we were overloading the servers, LOL. The game was very unplayable during the first two hours. During my first roll, the connection actually timed out D:

When I logged back in, I saw my stars got deducted, but thankfully I had new members in the waiting room. ^^

I actually got the limited Ako during that very first roll!

And so I tried again.

Fuck my luck. I’ve done 3 10-pulls, and all of them sucked.

Time to start playing I guess...

It’s been a while since I met coldgaze (P3), a fellow T10 from the Cycling Seasons event! That guy rarely shows up in the public rooms, LOL.

First checkpoint: Almost at T100!

Let’s talk about Unite! A to Z for a bit.

I’ve been tiering since forever and one of the many gripes casual players like me (yes. I’m casual) is that a lot of the more serious players go into the public rooms and just spam the hell out of this song. I understand why they do it (tl;dr - short length, high score, aka “meta song”), and I can’t really stop them from doing it.

There are other meta songs, like Jumpin’, that give a little less score for a little longer duration, but players really, and I mean really, like to spam A to Z. I could argue that you can’t really get the full benefit of A to Z 100% of the time (players take time picking songs and difficulty anyway, and you’re not always going to be consistent with your score), so in the long run, there’s no significant harm in picking other meta songs (maybe I should do the math..?), but no.

For those players, 100% AtoZ.

And it’s gotten really annoying, to the point that players like the one in the screenshot just straight-up disconnects when AtoZ is picked.

Anyway, back to the story. ^o^

...Unfortunately, I woke up the following morning to see that Bestdori projected the cutoff to be at 10.6M. That is waaay too close to 11M for comfort. So I panicked and played some more, even got to Level 230 in the process XD

Eventually the cutoff never really reached 11M, so I guess I didn’t have to? :3

I’d rather regret the extra effort though, than potentially lose T100 standing.

Now we’re done. 8-)

BnHA Chapter 206: The Third Set Concludes

Previously on BnHA: Team TodoIidaShoujiRo battled Team TetsuHonePonySen TO THE DEATH, apparently. Shouto lost his fucking mind and went all out with his flames and set the whole fucking place on fire. But somehow Chintetsu was able to withstand it without fucking melting, and held his ground until Honenuki showed up and knocked Shouto unconscious with a falling streetlight pole. This was after he singlehandedly took out Ojiro and Shouji. It honestly looked like that was it for Team A, but then Iida zoomed back over and drop-kicked Honenuki in the face. He tried to carry Shouto to safety, but before they could make it to the clear, Honenuki (who conveniently stayed conscious just long enough to do this) melted the base of a big industrial chimney and told Tetsu to knock it down, which he did, right on top of Iida. So Iida is now dead, Todoroki is still unconscious and probably dying of hyperthermia, Honenuki is concussed, and congratulations Deku, I’ve finally gotten over that one fight where you systematically broke all your own fingers one by one, because this shit makes that look like a tickle fight.

Today on BnHA: With four students dead or dying before their eyes, the teachers opt to sit back and wait to see how the final moments of the battle will play out. Shouji, Ojiro, and Pony engage in a frantic struggle which results in Pony capturing Ojiro and tying up the score at 1-1. She then proceeds to wait out the clock, knowing that she can’t try to capture one of the other downed Team A kids without putting her own unconscious teammates at risk. So the deathmatch ends in a draw of all things, and the teachers generously decide to forego debriefing the kids for now in favor of getting them all some medical treatment before they actually do kick the bucket. Over in Recovery Girl’s office, Shouto, Iida, and Honenuki all bond over somehow feeling like they didn’t do enough, until RG kicks them all out, probably to call child protective services or something. The long-awaited fourth set then begins, and Team BakuJirouSatouSero gets ready to kick some ass. Bakugou is all “DEKU, JUST WATCH ME!” and I don’t know about Deku, but I’m all set for this. Get out there and show ‘em how it’s done, kiddo.

(As always, all comments not marked with an ETA are my mostly-unspoiled reactions from my first readthrough of this chapter. I’m caught up with the manga now at chapter 223, so any ETAs will reflect that.)

now we’re flashing back to see how this all came about, and I’m just gonna post it rather than try to sum it up

(ETA: in fairness to Shouto and Honenuki who have so far bore the brunt of my sarcastic ranting for taking things too far, let’s not overlook this scene where Ojiro is all “even if you stab me!!!” and Pony is like “okay!” and actually does stab him. hero training. fun times!)

by the way, I thought all the melted stuff was supposed to go back to normal after Honenuki passed out, so why does it still look the same? did it just harden again while still looking like that?

(ETA: I guess it must have. I have some questions now about how effective Honenuki would be in a situation where he actually had to try and keep property damage to a minimum. maybe tone it down just a bit in the future.)

damn, I was kind of looking forward to that. Shouto and Tetsu need to be chewed out for being reckless idiots, Honenuki needs to get his props (and also be chewed out), and Aizawa needs to seriously question what the hell Ojiro and Shouji were even doing that entire time

Deku says Iida was really cool out there, and WASN’T HE, THOUGH? he also needs to get lots of props! I should have called it Team IidaRoki because he was the true leader as it turns out. same with Team HoneTetsu

LaKisha and I met almost, if not, 10 years ago at a place we worked together. As I got to know her, I found that she was SO down-to-earth…OM&G?! I guess in my head she would be fake-friendly to me like most people were at that job, but she wasn’t at all. Our conversations were few, but always welcoming.

I am still honored to be a recipient of her insight, and for the conversations of a more personal topics that we shared at my desk (that she may have absolutely no remembrance of – HA). Even if she was sharing those same things with everybody else, all I knew was that she didn’t know me from a can of paint, and yet was sharing with me. That was pretty cool.

The first thing that I noticed was not just that she was tall (AND that she was wearing heels and her business slacks actually fell below her ankles), but that she’s such a pretty and strong young, Black woman. She was helping raise a house full of young Black boys, she was a degree holder, had decent job title, was about to become a college professor; was an entreprenuer, and the wife of this #CoolTallGuy name Germaine. She possessed this ability to stand up for herself that I greatly admired but hadn’t yet cultivated for my Self. It seemed like she was so secure in who she was, height and all…and that was just bomb to me! She was #WomanGoals, if you will.

Over time and from a far, I’ve witnessed the tremendous strength LaKisha possesses and the growth she’s attained since I first met her. She has a beautiful testimony! Her ability to face all that life brought to her, and still – with the help of her Higher power – manages to revive her purpose and existence is so dope to me. The girl is bomb. #frfr

This quote?! My favorite quote to date! It’s a piece of a bigger point that LaKisha was making that, shamefully, I don’t remember; but this is unequivocally locked in my memory forever. Let’s just say it was a right-on-time affirmation.

From relationships and situation-ships; to friendships, family-ships, and yourself-ships; career-ships and education-ships; to credit score-ships, economic-ships, to life-ships...I got options! Not in a petty way or to say that I’ve figured any of these things out; but to realize I can figure out how I want to do my life...for me...with the options I do and don’t have...and create? I love #DiannCromartie’s ability to stand – while never halting her love for me, her child – when her world said she should lay and stay down, face down – I want that!

I love #Oprah Winfrey’s womanhood, entrepreneurial mind, and wisdom – I want that!

I love how LaKisha M. Aldridge Johnson stands for the things she’s passionate about. She uses her testimonies to challenge inner fears, nudge boldness in muteness – even when it’s from within, and helps you see that you have options simply because of the uniqueness that is you. I applaud her love to Love and cultivate the triumphs of thousands of people – I want that!

She is definitely a #DopeTallGirl…#LetsArgue ;-)
