I made a shitty shitty post about which Charli song was which BNHA character. I wish to redeem myself. Bring this in line with my Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess post (tbh this is much more my usual music taste, the Chappell is a departure largely just because I LOVE her voice) and do a character per track. That said, it is about my shitty little fic, the one I'm writing on the Aye Oh Three, (it's called Never So Strong and it's bad but whatever it's Mido but she's a wonderful lesbian because I am gay and I like women) This is also slightly harder than Midwest Princess because uh. Genuinely none of the main characters on BNHA would ever do coke. And it's kind of needed for the vibes. (Wait actually Todoroki would probably do coke once. Just to see what it was all about. Lmao) Tbf even the villains are pretty tame. Like I genuinely don't believe Shigaraki has done coke. He doesn't have that energy.

This is a challenge. A personal goal. Can I make this work for characters who would not know how to cut a line? MAYBE. (also I'm really fucking lazy and piecing together the story I wrote into the order it's supposed to be in is really hard unexpectedly so this is just to give myself a break from that. I don't write chronologically and this makes editing a nightmare)

360: All Might. I said earlier this was about him, and it is. He's so Julia. He's everywhere, legacy is underrated, he sets the tone, etc. Like come on. The man IS the picture of the modern hero. This is him. He is the fucking icon.

Club classics: Mic. Wait I low-key hope he's tried coke once. Anyway. He's our DJ. He's our music man. And he's got a list of absolutely fucking banger friends. Classic. He is classic, and he would dance to his own shit. Let's fucking go. This works for him. (he's a really fucking minor character in my fic but he's important to me ok)

Sympathy is a knife: Bakugou. COULDN'T EVEN BE HER IF I TRIED. This is him at the start of his arc. The guy is spiraling and me too bestie. The jealousy and the fucking insecurity. Yes. Thank you. Banger. And the lack of just control making you feel helpless. Very yes that.

I might say something stupid: Yogi Toshinori. Yeah that's right. I'm gonna hurt your feelings. He definitely feels like an outsider as himself and not All Might. And that's just how it is. It sucks when you had the world and lose it. And it hurts. "I'm famous but not quite but I'm perfect for the background one foot in a normal life" BYE. "I don't know if I belong here anymore"

Talk talk: Uraraka. I just like her. I could see her being like this about liking someone but not really knowing if it worked. (COUGH MIDO EARLY IN THE STORY COUGH) And well. "I wish you'd just talk to me" because REAL. Besides that though the ~vibe~ of this song is very Uraraka. Light. Fun. Good.

Everything is romantic: A struggle to narrow down but I'm going with All for One but like ironically. Like he's blasting this while he's watching the world burn at his behest. And hey I think he'd be big on the Romantic literature tradition. He's a French lit nerd in my heart so therefore. This. But again know it is not genuine he's just baiting you.

Rewind: Mitsuki Bakugou. I think she probably misses when her bestie Inko wasn't in constant worry hell and when her son wasn't a holy terror sometimes (yes yes save your fucking parenting discourse for somewhere that's NOT my Charli shitpost) and his little tiny bestie wasn't scared and breaking bones 24/7. Wouldn't it be cool to rewind.

I think about it all the time: All Might. Thinking about his child. Well, the child he adopted after said child did a fucking stupid thing just to try to save a bully. Iconic. And the fear of running out of time, the fear of losing a career you've worked so hard for? It works. Ty.

365: Brother really none of these characters would do coke. Not one of them. What am I supposed to do here? Well uh. I think I'll give this one to Gran Torino. Because fuck it man, I think he prolly did coke once. And I hope he was fucking BOUNCING off the walls.

finished s&b season 2, random thoughts below (spoilers obviously)

THE CROWS but esp wylan bc he's my son and I love him

not the biggest fan of how they ended up combining the two series together, the crows definitely deserve much more than this, and also I kind of hate how they're just pulling things out of both six of crows and crooked kingdom randomly with no regard for how the scenes reflected the characters' arcs

kaz and jordie though? TRAUMATIZING

idk why they included jesper's mom in there either, it was fun seeing him using his powers but the books do SO much better at realistically handling him overcoming his feelings of guilt and fear over an extended period of time with support from people he loves, rather than him suddenly gaining clarity because of a poison trip hallucination

also the last ep handled everything weirdly imo, like inej already hunting down slavers when that makes no sense for what her arc was in the books, and right after the "how will you have me" scene too (still iconic though)

wesper should've gotten their slowburn, but I will still happily replay their scenes until I feel something because I'm still a sucker for wesper being couply even if their relationship was super rushed

thank god for kit and jack doing the "just girls" scene during promo because the show's effectively eliminated any chance of that <3

overall I just think the writers either didn't fully understand the crows' personalities and stories and picked whatever was most popular within the book's fandom, which, yeah, you have to do some fan service, but this has zero regard for what people who've read the books actually wanted, and while I did enjoy watching, I really would've preferred their stories getting handled with care (even if it meant less screentime)

also can we stop with the whole pulling shit out of our asses that have nothing to do with adapting the books faithfully and don't even contribute to the plot of the show thank you

still despise alina with either mal or the darkling, I'm sorry but they both do not deserve her and she had better chemistry with nikolai in five minutes than those two ever did

tolya and tamar were some of my favorites unsurprisingly, they're iconic and I would do anything for them (and tamar getting her sapphic love story oh my god)

I also loved alina's interactions with the crew and basically anyone who wasn't mal or the darkling, she's thriving this season and I'm glad she's becoming her own person

nikolai was so well portrayed, really hope he gets his king of scars arc and we get to see more of him, but I think they should've kept in the bit where he was basically a volcra for a while (probabaly got cut because of budget or smth but it added so much to his character)

why would they kill off david (I'm half-holding onto the show/movie logic of not seeing the body yet but STILL) it's way too early in the overall plot of the book series, and I can't enjoy the show when they pull things from different points in the timeline without any reasoning behind it, it's just lazy and stupid. also genya did not deserve this much suffering in one season istfg

I skipped most of the darkling's scenes because that man pisses me off so much, but ben barnes did a good job at adding depth to him after baghra's death

speaking of baghra she's an a+ character, no notes

that's it I guess? def forgot some thoughts that I might add later, but yeah this season was fun and I had a good time, there's just some huge issues with how they adapted the books to the show, and their handling of all of the characters

Really good skating from Green/Parsons, but the colors are awful. It's a shade of red that looks like dried blood, and it's the same issue I had with Hawayek's Heart of Glass dress. And then to pair it with this awkward teal? A lot of teal this year, some more successful than others. The worst part is the ribbon on his waist, he needs a longer, less puffy shirt. This program is a non-starter, not just because it tries and fails to capture the magic of their iconic free dance from 2 years ago, but also because it's so meandering and devoid of concept and a coherent movement vocabulary (in contrast to the French, who will get to). They're making nice shapes with their bodies, but it doesn't add up to anything. I would've understood if the judges had dropped them in this program rather than the RD, since this is just a bag of random stuff pulled out the junk drawer. Her dress is contemporary, while his kinda period-inspired and doesn't fit his build, much like the Trennt sitch. I wish they'd scrap this one too.

Natalie, my sweet. While this is a great color on her, it didn't work paired with grey when VM did it, and it doesn't work now. His costume looks like an afterthought and the construction of hers is lazy and unflattering. I know they probably don't have the same resources as some other teams, so I'll let it lie, but also, the real problem here is the program. All they're doing is power skating between lifts and choreo elements. They're on two feet sooo damn much, and I dare them to take a step that isn't a crossover. It's not really ice dance, which sucks, because I really, really like them, but they're not an abstract concept team. Sorry about their dad.

Okay, the team that's really been impressing me this season, in spite of myself - the French. I loved the simplicity of her dress, which is why I don't get why they did the awkward, random dyeing on his. So many of these boys are wearing tops that look water-damaged. But I thought this program had a consistent movement vocabulary, it had a sense of dance history, and while we've seen them sharper this year, they did well here. I hate to say it, but Guillame did a great job. It's familiar music but it builds and they picked up every nuance and note, and this from a team I don't normally enjoy, so kudos. Good transitions like L/Q, great skating in hold, really seamlessly put together. Only they and H/B can pull off abstract.

LaLa - gorgeous colors, they looked like spring! Marjo was the force of the program, Zak looked a bit closed off in the chest, but I'm assuming that's from the injury and will pass. Some truly breathtaking elements and entries into them, and better levels, it seems. Skate Canada needs to get their scores where they need to be because Lolo and Nik hath no knees left. He did this to me with his shirt last year - it's big and boxy and flowy and bunches up at the waist, obscuring and cutting off his lines. Marjo, on the other hand, extremely pretty but a little too much skirt, I won't be surprised if it throws off her twizzles with how heavy it is. Such softness of movement yet such punctuation moments throughout, such effortless musicality and responsiveness to each other and the music. The one thing I will say is that it's maybe a bit too similar to the Nureyev and the Warsaw, but then again, it hasn't held other teams back, so why diversify? Get Zak a more fitted shirt and remove a layer of fabric from Marjo's skirt and they're ready for world domination. Nothing but respect for my next Olympic champions.

Okay, I really didn't want to become a C/B hater, but here we are - they've forced me over the past 3 years. What a load of pretentious schlock. We need to stop validating people just because they're hot. I'm pretty sure we've seen this concept 20 years prior. Her dress is well-made but it's what a teen whose social studies teacher once told her she should be a designer because she likes clothes would draw. Evan's outfit is straight out of Nathan Chen's closet of non-costumes. All of this is right out of the P/C guidebook on emperor's new clothes programs where they tell us we're too dumb to understand the high art that it is, when in reality they're just doing whatever to low-tempo music. All but one team here are stronger skaters than them. The whole program is just an exercise in figuring out how little actual skating they get away with. The fact that this is being celebrated and scored like this is why the sport is losing viewership, it makes the fans feel gaslit and taken for fools. And they can only do the planks and straight limb lines for a minute or so before they run out of steam, so whatever vague common visual thread there is totally falls apart. The USFSA fucked up when they let them win the nationals over the far superior H/D with that alien program because they wanted to give them a boost for the team event, but the lesson they took from it is that they could literally get away with murder, which is how we ended up here. I'm literally begging them to retire, they have me cheering for teams I usually can't stand. Prayer circle for the Italians to get a better RD.

Otherwise, Romain and Patrice serving looks like the dapper daddies they are, skaters take notes!

        internally, ron was definitely laughing at the bluntness. there wasn’t a single part of him that actually liked krum. hermione deserved way better. besides, he didn’t quite understand what she saw in him. over the past few years since her eighteenth birthday, ron had convinced himself there was a reason they weren’t romantically compatible - or, at least why hermione didn’t like him like that. he wasn’t smart. intelligent conversation didn’t come easy to him and while he was sure she found it endearing correcting him or teaching him, a lifetime of that in a romantic sense? it was more of an obligation than a calm relationship, wasn’t it? so krum, of all people, ron just didn’t understand. while ron knew he wasn’t academically gifted, he wasn’t clueless to the world. but krum seemed to have headered a few too many balls a few too many times. and hermione was aware of it. it wasn’t even like she was blinded by love - that idea just about turned ron’s stomach. hermione was very much out of krum’s league. she was out of his own league, even. so it just made no sense. 

          while most would put his dislike down to some form of jealousy, ron was sure it wasn’t. in the beginning, seeing hermione dancing at their school leaver prom, it had been jealousy. but there was also some understanding there after she’d conveniently forgotten quite possibly the best kiss of his young life - and consequently, even still to this day. he’d moved on. he’d found lavender, he’d fallen for her, gotten his heart broken by her and now he was in limbo with his latest relationship. at first it had made him happy, but then.. it wasn’t quite the same anymore and he felt a little lost. and that in itself continued to leave ron confused. while he was sure hermione craved that family dynamic, having natalia’s dad around and being some picture perfect family, he wasn’t stupid. he’d known hermione since they were little kids and he knew when she wasn’t happy to her core. for months he’d watched that telltale crease between her brow, even visible from facetime calls, and longed to ask her how she really was doing. but then things kept getting in the way. knowing how miserable and cowardly he could be and knowing how brave and strong and smart hermione was, staying with someone who didn’t make her happy made no sense. but then, there was the the staged happy family photos pasted on her social media that made ron stop and think for a second - there was a reason hermione was putting herself through it and that reason was tally. 

          it had been stewing in him for months. this constant choking wish to express how unhappy he was, how he knew she was unhappy too. truthfully, he had been ready to say it when her name had flashed up on his phone midway through dinner at his parents’ place. when he’d heard her crying his first instinct had been that krum had left her, cheated on her, done something idiotic and out of line enough to give ron a reason to punch him or let out the distaste he had for him. then hermione told him her dad had died. he couldn’t do it then. she needed him to be there, not judging her choices in life or judging the man she chose to be with. that had lasted for a decent amount of time. even seeing them together when hermione flew back in just after the news, ron had barely batted an eyelid at it. hell, he was even impressed that krum was there. he hadn’t expected him to put a hold on a few matches in order to fly back to their little village and be emotionally supportive.

          and then he wasn’t. perhaps it was the grief, losing someone he’d looked to as a second father all those years, or perhaps it was just him being protective of his two favourite people in the entire world. ron had pictured his fist hitting viktor’s face so many times that it had almost become some sick fantasy. when it actually happened, however, it wasn’t such a relieving moment. it hurt. a lot. and he regretted it immediately after hearing hermione’s shriek for them to stop. causing a scene at the church had not been ron’s plan at all, but the fact that viktor couldn’t for one second think of anyone other than himself or the fact his wife and daughter had lost someone so dear to them? it had boiled his blood and left him steaming from his ears and truly out of control.

          ❝ you keep making excuses for him. ❞ it was blunt and maybe a little against the deal he’d made with himself, but it felt necessary to explain why he’d ruined the funeral the way he did. with a wince, ron shrugged his shoulders as he watched hermione’s fingers clean the dried blood on his busted knuckles. ❝ i know i fucked up today but… bloody hell, hermione, ❞ he continued, a little breathless with some weird desperation creeping in. ❝ he’s meant to be here supporting you and he’s so self centred he can’t even… ❞ ron cut himself off, shaking his head as he continued to remind himself that this wasn’t what hermione needed right now. she needed someone to hold her hand, wipe away her tears, listen and recall stories about her dad and what an amazing person he was. she didn’t need him bashing krum. ❝ i’m sorry, ❞ ron sighed. carefully, he reached out with his other hand to squeeze hermione’s shoulder with a very slight, reassuring smile. 

          ❝ we can talk about something else? or i can take tally if you want a break for the night? ❞ he had to stop himself from mentioning the thrill he would get out of having tally around and how much rebecca would hate the mess it would cause. ❝ just… what can i do to make this up to you? what do you need? i… well, clearly i need a little guidance because punching someone at a funeral is probably not what you had in mind, hm? ❞ it was an attempt at a joke, trying to get at least some semblance of a smile on hermione face, even if he knew it was futile. she was grieving and disappointed and trying to keep herself together for tally. that much, ron was sure of. ❝ i really am sorry.❞ ron paused for a moment, biting his lip before letting out a huff. ❝ not for doing it though. he damn well deserved it but… for the bad timing, i guess. ❞

EXTENDED ICON TUTORIAL

Hey sorry this took so long to get around to but I finally felt inspired to make this. A couple things first. I want to give a special shout out to argetnallison cuz I learned how to make icons from her tutorials here. I picked up a few tips and tricks that aren’t included in other tutorials so we’re gonna call this an extended icon tutorial. I’ve also been told I explain things well but if there’s anything from this that needs clearing up later just send me a message and i will be happy to help guide you through it. This Is my first time making a tutorial so bare with me if I ramble.

Ok so things you willneed..

photoshop (i personally use the 2014 CC version or something like that but that’s just my preference for layout and stuff)

kmplayer (kmplayer is how i get most of my screencaps. Sometimes I go to google or screencapped.net or other sites that have precapped content when i feel lazy)

Alright so we start off with figuring out which screencap to use. 

so basically here i open whatever movie/tv show episode file i want to use and skim in kmplayer till i find a scene that works. Then I hit start and play it until i have the scene i want and then stop, 

these are my capture settings for kmplayer. 

Alright so I picked this scene of Hermione in HBP (aka the hardest movie to color.

Okay disclaimer here, I don’t actually use anything on the left and rely totally on shortcuts on the keyboard so that’ll be how I explain things here. 

People do this step differently but what i tend to do is crop my image before i mask it. I hit “c” on my keyboard. I set my w x h at the top to 100 x 100. Then what i do is I take my mouse and click on the top bar of the crop box and extend it till Jyn is a more icon like size.

after she is at a size I think is ok for this icon i hit enter and it looks like this

alright now for the fun part. this is honestly the hardest part of icon making, the rest is simple if you’ve used photoshop before. Its time to mask the image and get rid of the background around Hermione. So we start by pressing “p” on our keyboard, p for pen is how i remember, and then we start at one end of her shoulder and work our way around. Basically how this works is u click around the image of her and keep clicking until u have an outline around her like I have below. this does not need to be perfect because we’re gonna have to use the eraser tool anyways.

you should have something that looks like this. Also tip here is that you can use ctrl + and ctrl - to make the image bigger or smaller when doing this part. 

ok so now we have a rough outline of hermione and we wanna create this mask so we right click within the image somewhere and we hit “create vector mask” which should be the first option (i donno what its like in other versions of ps sorry)

ur image should now look like this

be sure your starting dot and your connecting dot come together at the end or it won’t let you do this part.

Alright so here is where i add my psd and my fancy textures and things. I use argetnallison’s psd (no claiming as ur own, give her credit if you use this) and adjust it as needed because i am really bad at making my own (seriously props to everyone who makes their own psds its hard and i salute you). 

so how I do this next part is i take my psd file (this also contains my textures and stuff to make it easier and quicker to do stuff) I take the jyn file with the psd and i ctrl/alt/a toselect everything quickly like this and then drag it onto the hermione image.

i move some of my layers under the hermione image like the solid color layer and the texture pack  so she’s visible again and keep going. 

alright so another thing to note is if u click on the mask next to hermione you will get a box that has the vector mask and density and feather

you’re going to want to go to feather and where it says 0.0 make it 0.3 (some people do 2 or 1 just mess with it till it suits you).

so i have set mine to 0.3 and now its time to erase the stuff around hermione that’s still visible. i press e on my keyboard and zoom in on it a little  Here it is also really helpful to create another layer mask so that it doesn’t mess with the mask of her you already have (ps weird and it’ll get messy trust me) so i go down to the bottom right and hit add layer mask its the third one from the left

the white square between the hermione picture and the mask is where you’re gonna wanna click and then start erasing.

if you mess up along the way and erase too much you can press b on your keyboard for brush and it’ll bring it back. 

ok now its time to sharpen the image. i have an action i really like but its from a blogger who’s changed user since then and i donno her new one or i’d 100% credit. I will try and find it and add the link here. anyway I convert the hermione picture to a smart object (right click on the hermione picture and its on the left towards the middle) hit play and add the action to the image  Mine looks like this now

so for this next part i usually have green as my default layer but i wanna change the color so i’m gonna double click on the dark green box 

i’ve settled for this pink. Now if you follow my icon making at all you know I like to match my background and clothes together so that’s what i’ll show you next.

so next its time to use the eyedropper tool (which was very confusing for me initially so if you have questions don’t hesitate to ask). We start by hitting “i” on our keyboard and finding a spot in our picture that we want her to match so I’m going to click some of the lighter pink in the top left corner. 

as you can see in mine in the top right it now has that pink we just selected so now we get to add it to hermione’s jacket.I usually do it right above the psd so i make sure i have that clicked and then i make a new layer for the jacket by hitting ctrl/shift/n on my keyboard. with that layer selected, I hit ‘b’ for brush on my keyboard and set this new layer to “color” then i hit enter and begin to brush over the jacket (in my ps its the second to last one down). The default name is “normal” and its right next to opacity”) 

now my picture looks like this: (you can use the “e” to erase if you brush over her skin by accident as well)

now its time to do the same with her hair so i do ctrl/shift/n again to create another layer but this time we’re going to set it to “soft light” instead of color. 

just like with the jacket we are going to use the eyedropper tool again but we’re gonna click on a lighter part of her hair. 

you can change the opacity here if you would like but for this image i am going to keep it at 100%. 

You could honestly leave this image here and have a perfectly good icon but a lot of people have asked me how i do the circle ones like my current one so I will take this one step further. (i learned from this tutorial here in case that helps you better). 

First i’m gonna add a texture by checking one of the boxes in my texture stash (feel free to hunt on yeahps and deviantart for some seriously amazing textures that’s where i get all of mine from). 

now i’m going to do a duplicate image (so that i can use the original to edit it in different colors). to do this i go to “image” at the top (third option after “file” and “edit” and then i go down to where it says “duplicate”.

i hit ok and then i begin to make my circle icon

What i do here is i convert everything to a smart object so i hit ctrl/alt/a and right click and convert to smart object. 

then i hit ctrl/shift/n and create a new layer where we create our circle.i make sure that the circle is white by going to the top right and setting it to white. Then i hit “b” and right click on the hermione picture 

i use the selected brush and have the size at 95 px. Then I click in the middle of the image and it looks like this

now what I want to do is make sure that the white circle is centered so i’m going to hit “m” on my keyboard  Then i wanna right click and hit “free transform” in the middle. you’ll know its in the middle because there’ll be these two purple ish lines that create a plus. 

now you hit enter and you have your circle. Now what I do is hit “w” on my keyboard and click your mouse in the circle somewhere (very important to stay clicked on the circle layer here). now that you’ve selected the circle, select the pink hermione image. go to the bottom and click “create layer mask” which again is the third from the left, and you should have a circle next to the hermione picture. You should have something that looks like this

now i just click on the circle layer and delete it and it’ll look like so:

again. you could ctrl/s and save it here and leave as is but i’m a bit on the extra side so we’re gonna take it a step further and add little designs cuz it makes it look more fun. 

So what I did in the beginning is I googled a ton of different types of brushes and used search things like “heart brushes for photoshop, deviantart” or “star brushes” or whatever i wanted and i just dug around until ifound what I was looking for. its a fun scavenger hunt but you can deff check out yeahps too or itsphotoshop for resources. Then you go to “edit” and all the way down to “presets” and a drop down will show up and you click “preset manager”. you will see something like this pop up

go to the right and hit load and then click on the file you’ve extracted from winrar (if you need help with this part just message me). Ok, once you’ve loaded some brush presets into your ps you can start the next part. once again you have to create a new layer ctrl/shift/n, i then click my star brush and set it to 14 px. 

alrighty so before we start clicking and creating stars I want to make them the same color as the background so its time to bring out our “i” for eyedropper again and click somewhere on the pink, then hit “b” again and you should now have pink stars when you click. So Here i go to a transparent corner and i just create my star on the new layer. Sometimes i click it twice so that its more visible ut now i have something like this:

now I’m thinking i want it situated a different way so I use the “m” tool and use “free transform again” to adjust (using the corners like with cropping) to where i want the star to be. 

now i have it here and i use the arrows on the keyboard as well sometimes to adjust it. Now what I usually do is create another layer for the smaller stars so i hit ctrl/shift/n again and then i set this new star to 9 px by right clicking on the picture. Then I repeat the steps above and have something like this

Now i just hit ctrl/j and duplicate the little star. then i hit “m” on my keyboard once again and move it to the opposite side of the big star. 

now you have this picture:

Now what i do is i select all 3 star layers and right click and convert them to smart object so theyre easier to deal with. Then i hit ctrl/j and duplicate the stars. 

now i hit “m” on the duplicate layer and click “free transform once again” now right click and hit “rotate 180″ and the result is like this

move the rotated stars to the opposite side of the picture with the mouse. Now it should look like this

and that’s it! just hit ctrl/s and save as a .png and you have yourself an icon. I hope this helps. If i need to clarify anything please don’t hesitate to ask me. This is my first tutorial so I hope I explained things ok. Feel free to tag me in ur new icons I’d love to see them!

Awww that's so nice! I'm glad you had a good time :) I'm studying biotech. And I studied in Sweden for my exchange. It was such an amazing city and everyone was so nice~~ And it was the first time I experienced so little sunlight XDI feel you though haha. I'm kinda of in this weird limbo where I want a job just so I don't have to keep studying, but I also don't want that kind of responsibility. But good luck with your applications! I did see his long teaser! God it’s so aesthetic. I’m kinda busy right now so I haven’t been as involved in his comeback as I was with the group comeback but I would’ve giffed every second of it if I could lol. And every song seems like a jam! Sentimental definitely has a really nice beat. I also like Stay, but I can also see myself adding attraction to my bubbly Infinite playlist.           

I also hope it’s a nice promotion! I hope short promotions aren’t a new woollim thing (even tho it’s been that way for a while). I know they probably just rushed Tell Me since they’ve kept us waiting. And I got into Infinite from watching running man! My roommate studied abroad in Korea and showed me the show when she came back     

It was the Summer Idol Competition one. I thought just the combo of cool L and hamster Gyu was hilarious. And I heard destiny in the background so I looked into it and got hooked on the group. I ended up liking Woohyun a lot because of his voice. And as I got to know him I realized what a marshmellow he is. I used to think he talked too much at first cuz I wanted to learn about Gyu and Myung, but he grew on me haha. Who was your original bias group??

Isn’t being asked where you’re from such a weird question? I moved from Singapore when I was 7, so I hardly know anything about the culture, but I still consider myself Singaporean. Plus, most people generally mean ethnically when they ask that question, and for me that’s India, but I don’t consider myself Indian at all… I tend to give very convoluted answers that try to fit all 3 countries in ^^;

Have you seen the MV/listened to the album yet? I really love Nell, so when I heard Kim Jong Wan was helping to produce the entire album I was super excited (plus it’s cute since Sunggyu’s such a big fan of his). I really liked Attraction and True Love, but I think my favourite off the album is City of Angels.

I totally get what you mean about being too busy to be really involved in the comebacks… But for me it’s more I’m too lazy/tired than busy. I keep thinking I’ll gif/edit, but never do. It’s quite terrible. How long have you been making gifs for?

Was Infinite the first KPop group you listened to? Are they the first you were really a fan of? Destiny was such an epic song and I totally get how it hooked you. It was such a fierce song. I can’t remember Sunggyu and Myungsoo in that episode of Running Man… I remember more the Winter Olympics one (unless I’m remember wrong and we’re talking about the same episode). I love Running Man, but I preferred it more in the beginning episodes because I loved the nametag chase and they rarely do that anymore. If you haven’t already, you should watch the first ~100 episodes (with Song Joong Ki), they’re seriously hilarious.

My first bias group was MBLAQ… It’s so sad they disbanded. Again, I loved them because they were such dorks and their variety shows were hilarious as well. If you want to watch something for laughs, watch MBLAQ Goes To School… It’s too funny. Have you seen all of Infinite’s variety shows? I haven’t seen their last couple, but Sesame Player will always be my favourite. If you’ve seen Sesame Player, what was your favourite part? Mine were the pranks.

If a drama is really good the urge to binge is so strong! That’s why I like watching currently airing dramas, I’m forced to wait ^^ If you like light hearted dramas, I think you’ll like Suspicious Partner. The main couple is adorable like in SWDBS (also, I’m totally biased toward Ji Chang Wook… Hence the icon…).

Your last question… Is that specifically in regards to Infinite? That’s kind of tough… I actually kind of got out of touch with KPop while I was in university, well with music in general, so I actually haven’t heard many of Infinite’s new songs. But I really love Tell Me… Sunggyu’s voice and Dongwoo and the dance and the outfits… Gosh, all of it slayed me. So I guess that’s you’re answer? On another note… What genre of English music do you like? I love Alt Rock/Grunge and I tend to stay away from R&B/Hip Hop.
