FAVORITE ANON IS BACK
I didn't expect to be back so soon and to have to jump to the other side of the supporting character spectrum butttt here we are...
As we all know by now, A has made her return to the Insta grid and it was a doozy. 48 days after Luke posted his Spain photo dump, A pops out with the "Last bit of summer" which of course includes a picture of her "sunbathing and reading" on what appears to be the same balcony as Luke's from Spain. The 6 photo carousel also includes 2 photos from Cyprus. To many on the internet, this was another "launch" just like the recent London pap pictures.
This is the point where I would like to remind everyone to TAKE A MOMENT AND BREATHE BEFORE YOU REACT.
Now that you've done that, please remember the individual we are talking about. It is important to study patterns and this girl be patterning. Whenever the spotlight turns up on Nic and Luke, she always seems to jump in and tear things down and she is living up to her reputation. Let's add to the fact that Nic is getting torn down from this recent pap and press article incident so why not throw some gasoline on the flames. This is her time to SHINE.
Now I have a couple thoughts on the Spain of it all:
I think it's highly possible this trip happened in mid-late July (when the resort posted the Bridgerton themed post) and right before the birthday trip to Sorrento. It is highly likely that it was also a group trip and I'm not even saying these two were romantic on this trip (similar to my thoughts on Italy). She honestly could've just gotten into his room to take a couple pictures.
Her and her friends on a separate trip and maneuvered their way into the same (or similar) room and recreated the scene. It sounds wild and crazy and wayyyy out of the realm of reality but to be honest, I wouldn't put it past this individual.
My big question is where were any pictures that alluded to Luke being on the trip? The only picture is the balcony picture with her lying on the lounger and it doesn't even include a lot of possible items that would match the photo to being an identical match (the table settings or his underwear on the chair). If you went on a trip with your boyfriend - WHERE IS THE BOYFRIEND? Many are saying she got permission from Luke to post now but if he gave her permission and they are still together then why isn't he in the pictures?
Also, I find it convenient that she has C & S coming out of the woodwork to like and hype her up in the comments almost immediately (her and S have been almost radio silent to each other since Italy). As someone pointed out to me, the comments look like something planned in a group chat.
And to anyone who wants to say it - no I do not believe Luke is mad about Nic and Jake and is lashing out by telling A to post. If you even believe that about him, why are you in this fandom?
What do I believe? I believe we are seeing one of the final acts of a very desperate woman. She has been holding on to these pictures as her "smoking gun" to use one day when the timing is right. Nicola mentioned "Luke" and "marriage" in a Time article and she posted a picture with Luke publicly on her instagram. Once the pap photo controversy went down, A grabbed her chance and ran with it. (The irony of it all is that I think Nic's team may have let the article situation yesterday play out the way it did because they were expecting a grenade from A and she took the bait.)
In the end I will tell you the same thing about Luke that I told you about Nicola - ONLY LISTEN TO THE STORY LUKE IS TELLING YOU. The story Luke told you in his Spain post was that he was a man who was there alone and not on a romantic getaway. Don't listen to the story that psychotic side characters are trying to paint. The reason she's still around and creating this drama is because you all encouraged her all summer. Listen to Nic and listen to Luke and the rest is just noise you need to tune out.
My favorite anon is back so soon.
But I think we needed you, so much appreciated ☺️

So personally, I think that there was issues between Nicola and Luke after the London premiere. I see that because she left the after party before he even got there. Then She went silent on social media. And before people comment, I know she was filming, but she was filming big mood and Bridgerton was still active on social media. We also during those early summer months she would post but she would not post her face and definitely not as much as we are used to. Personally, I think was deliberate. Clearly they somehow have made up. Or they've at least talked Because she's posting him again. And I also think she will slow down with how much she posting cuz things are slipping she showing her hand to much. And now we're getting all these songs. I also do not think that it's for Eamon or Jake. Those songs are definitely Luke coded. I think that they still have a lot to work through. But he needs to fully get out of this situation that he's in. Also, I've seen on TikTok people are mad because he's not posting a lot what do you guys expect him to do? He post you to say it's not enough. He doesn't post you say is not enough. No matter what move he makes right now people say crap to him. a lot of men I know are not big on social media. They might have one the post once in a while. They might call some videos. But they're not spending hours online looking for things the way women do. They could also be one of the reasons he didn't see this girl deviousness. I'm hoping he's seeing it now. They've all been so quiet because they're dealing with it BTS. Because since Italy, we haven't seen no pictures and we've seen pictures all summer long. Then that whole group is moving weird. Then all being quiet and S rearranging her post with her and her boyfriend being the main photos. Like I said I have a gut intinct that somethings happening. One last thing, we have all known that she leaks things to fan pages I'm 95% sure she does that. we also know that things were leaked to DM so it's not far off that things would be leaked to fan pages. so right now unless you see actual proof, don't believe anything anybody is saying. Because if he is trying to get away from her I have a really hard time believing she's going to take that lying down. She's going to try to create problems for him. And it's just so funny that we're starting to see all of these pages say that they're traveled alone (when fan pages have called that out) or talk of them getting married. It's wild rumors let's not fall into her traps. She gotten good with getting under the fandom skin.
I think that, after London N and L were ready to try to stay together, unfortunately third parties have ruined everything and L had to accept to be seen for a while with A, to protect N and not make her appear as the one who had made the "gf" betray, for sure N will have been sick but also L and we saw it clearly from his face, both have been sick these two months, but once L returned from Italy, he realized that he can't go on like this, for me he will have immediately gone to talk to nic (probably the day of the toast story) and N from that day on, has returned to being more social, returning to give us clues clearly referring to L, in italy, L will have been angry because private things came out and because they probably posted stories with the location and he didn't want it .. I think he got angry with everyone .. if you noticed the like that N gave today to chappel roan you will understand that she is tired of both her and L no longer having any privacy .. A is desperate and continues to do strange things but she hasn't understood that she is about to disappear because she is nobody, she will have to learn from her mistakes sooner or later, right? N is the only one we have to trust, I've always said that!

Still trying to figure out the wild orange packet so I’ve been playing with the contrast etc! I’m not CCC sure it’s actually helped 🤣 but I can see more words!
There’s a word at the top that is too warped to read but my brain is trying to make it say either biological or something ending in either ‘nio’ or ‘nic’
Under wild orange is a word that again I can’t fully make out but again my brain wants it to say sanitiser or disinfecter (which I know is not the correct spelling of disinfecter, but I’m sure that’s an e not an o)
I’ve got the word fruit from the bottom and what appears to be an TAT But the first letter of that word is too crumpled to be 100% a T.
So I’m going on the theory it’s a single packet disinfectant wipe type thing with wild orange scent - possibly claiming it’s using real fruit.
The idea that the known to be a hideous homophobe Gerrard is waving around a fruity disinfectant wipe in Eddie’s face has me cackling! The implication that Eddie is gay and Gerrard is trying to ‘cleanse’ and ‘sanitise’ the 118 of being fruity…

Do you think this wouldn’t have happened if his gf had been mentioned and included in stuff from the beginning? While so much of this was just down to L&N just really being able to sell the PR and Nic just being genuinely a star, I really also think that people were bound to start getting a bit dramatic and chaotic after they ran out of the main content.
Also, like, if it had turned out he was with someone that the audience knew, like another cast member or even a bigger celeb, do you think we’d have seen this go down like it has?
I do think that having it out in the open from the beginning would have helped, but I do think it goes further than that. I think they should have worked on her online persona first.
Before the New Years photo came out there should have been some work done. Anybody with eyes could take a look at her profile, and see that she does come off as someone who is young, fake (even if she isn't), privileged (even if she isn't) and a mean girl (even if she isn't). And first impressions are key, especially in the world of celebrities.
I used Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde as an example (in my Luke deep dive), from the beginning people hated them together, because of how they came to be, their age difference. They were never able to win over the fans, it was too late. But Harry's next relationship was brought out with care. It was a relationship that seemed to make sense. People were happy with it.
Her age also doesn't help at all. Her online persona screams young, because she is young. Knowing that Luke spent a lot of time going after young adults and all of them dancers, is not a good look. For him or for her.
I think that if she was more established, or came off as more established to the public her age wouldn't have effected as many people. People like to see people work for what they have, to be established and able to work hard. People wouldn't clearly see a power unbalance in their relationship, but it appears that there is one.
But I guess now it's too late and they can't go back on it now. Now they just have to continue on and except and expect the hate unfortunately. Cause I don't see it stopping anytime soon.
I do think that if it was another celebrity it also wouldn't be a big deal (but it also depends who it is). They would have to be somewhat established or in the same line of work as Luke. It would be a relationship that had the potential to makes sense to the public. His relationship with Antonia doesn't make sense to the public, she is everything opposite of what you would think Luke would go for. (it's unfortunate but it is what it is).

this is really funny to me. if nic's affinity for babies is also something that pen has, then I can just imagine her being everyone's favourite aunt and her kids literally following her everywhere. she has the largest collection of cool rocks, shells and branches in the bridgerton extended family, all thanks to the efforts of the youngest generation
(I'm imagining the more shy kids just kind of appear at her elbow when they're sitting outside and just 😐✊ and she's like, hey bud, what's up?, and the kid just 😐🤲🐚 and runs away)
awwww, she'd definitely be everyone's favorite. i feel like colin is definitely the favorite uncle so that tracks.
fr tho i feel this on a spiritual level because kids love my husband and it's wild how many times a kid has walked up to him in public just to grab hold of his hand like alright, i picked a new dad, let's gooooo while he has to wait for me to look around for some frantic parent looking for their little precocious ticking time bomb. good luck, penelope and colin, you're going to need it.😭

Random ramblings of team hooligan because I can
Fang X Bark is a good ship I like it, fang has two hands he can date both bark and Corsen he’s a bisexual motherfucker.
If trip does become a member of team hooligan, her and bean have to have sibling vibes.
The Marvelous Queen is a big fan of gamma, the garage is filled with fucking gamma merch. Fang has to explain each time this isn’t his, it’s the queens.
I’ve seen many oc x fang art, and I am proud to be in that group. But what I’ve noticed is that most have the “talk shit at each other in affection “ route which I also love! But Corsen doesn’t work that way at all.
She spoils the shit outta fang.
This woman just FUELS his ego more. Helps in situations but good lord this idiot jerboa is gonna have the guts to launch him self off a cannon because of her, and bean would join him.
Bean technically has four dads. you got bin, his actual biological dad. Pin, his uncle, Fang the bad influence. And Bark, the good influence! Then you got Lucy, the marvelous Queen and Corsen being his mom figures, and trip being his potential sister! Bean’s got a big family! ^^
I imagine if the hooligans got a super form, fang would be able to summon a billion of corks, big or small, and launch them at his foes with the snap of his fingers! Bark would be able to use ice powers, summon giant icebergs and fire snowballs, maybe throw a giant snowman at enemies hell yeah lets get silly! And bean just summons a nuke, OH FUCK.
If anyone random flirts with fang, Corsen is getting out a fucking rocket launcher you better RUN.
I have a metal Fang by the way ( his names clang ), and he basically has the same goal as metal Sonic, get rid of fang. But he also has a crush on Corsen and calls her his gamer girl, fang and the marvelous Queen beat the shit out of him.
Unsure if I wanna make a metal bark or bean design and what they would be like.
Jet was caught by the authorities once and they showed him his wanted picture…wait..JET THE JERBOA THATS FUCKING FA-
I’d like a treasure team tango 2 please
Fang and Nic have a good relationship in my headcanon because fucking say so, I love positivity, I like some angst but positive makes me go BRRRRR
Metal Sonic is fucking lucky he was dealing with Amy, or fang would’ve beat the EVER LIVING SHIT OUT OF HIS CIRCUITS FOR TAKING HIS BOYS.
Bean angrily punching the wall because he missed the moment of fang caring about them, NEXT TIME FOR SURE
Honey the cat helping Corsen how to girl because she has no fucking clue what she’s doing.
Honey and Fang have a sibling like relationship, THEY are the ones that talk shit about each other but if some stranger talks shit about them they will FIGHT them.
The hooligans have appeared in honey’s magazine because she needs models for her clothes! plus they have her temporary protection so the authorities can’t get to them lol.
I headcanon that in the modern world, the hooligans become a band! All the music with lyrics that you hear throughout the games is just fucking team hooligan! Especially the music in frontiers, Female lyrics is either Corsen or honey, but most of the singing is done by fang, bark has the guitar, bean is on the drums, and the Queen is on keyboard. Some times fang gets the bloody piano out because I know you read Archie if you headcanon fang plays the piano! Lets go!
Fang is known for not only having bad luck, but also being very cartoony, Wild E. Coyote vibes he gives, but whenever Corsen is nearby, his luck increases, so you could say Corsen is his good luck charm.
Fang and bean get scared easily by anything horror related, bark usually has to be there with them to be the “emotional support teddy bear”
-
That’s all for now but you can drop your wholesome team hooligan headcanons too! I’d love to hear them, especially thanks to Sonic superstars for spiking up their popularity! Lets make sure team hooligan is never forgotten again! ^^

I didn’t know Luke had found someone else good for him! Kudos to him for keeping it private, I know he was pretty open about his last partner and that led to some drama. I hope both Luke and Nicola’s partners are going to be okay during this wild promo tour as it must be weird seeing people ship your respective partners together.
His current relationship apparently has no less drama than the last one (although I wasn't in the fandom then yet, so I'm not sure of the actual heaviness of the situation) with the problem this time being that Luke's dating a girl that's in her early twenties and how apparently he acts differently when he's with her. I just read other people's posts and opinions about that, so this is not my actual opinion since I'm relatively new to the Bridgerton world and the actors.
However, it must be said that none of us truly know what's going on behind closed doors and what the situation actually is like. He chose her, and their relationship is frankly none of our business. If he acts worse to fans or whatever else when he's with her, that's his problem to solve since it's his relationship. I don't know the nitty-gritty of his love life like some do, and I honestly don't want to. He's a great actor, per Nicola clearly a good co-star and that's all I need to know of him.
And yeah, I definitely agree how their partners really must have a lot of faith and trust. I definitely see Nic and Luke having a BFF relationship (that's why they appear closer than some other pairs of actors that are just friends) and they say it very clearly how they're just friends, yet people cease to believe them. I just hope that that great friendship won't be ruined by fans... it would be a shame since we as a society always bang on about wanting more genuine M/F friendships represented in the media yet the moment we see two people laugh and look at each other we're immediately like: Oh Gosh they're dating 100%!!!@@@£**#*#,💖🥹🩷🫶🫶🫶
Like, no. They're comfortable around each other and that's important for both the acting and the atmosphere when they're doing promo stuff. Plus, genuine friendship and care for people never hurts anyone, as we see that Luke is often relying on Nic for support when he's struggling during promo (he has dyslexia and ADHD I think). Let's normalise that it's not just your partners that can make you feel safe but friends as well.
Thank you for the message, Anon :)

Windy City Riot preview
Tumblr media
Tetsuya Naito vs. Jon Moxley - This match was announced back in January, but it was only six days ago that Naito's IWGP world heavyweight championship was put on the line.
The IWGP world title is essentially a 2021 reboot of the prestigious IWGP heavyweight championship, which was introduced in 1987. Few non-Japanese wrestlers have held either version of the title; if Moxley wins here, he would join Vader, Salman Hashimikov, Riki Chosu, Scott Norton, Bob Sapp, Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles, Kenny Omega, Jay White, and Will Ospreay. Mox would also be the only man to have held the top men's title in WWE, AEW, and NJPW. New Japan has already coined the term "global grand slam" for this potential achievement.
A Moxley world title win would be pretty wild for New Japan. Typically the top belt is heavily protected, and mainly passed around a small group of tippy-toppy guys who are full-time on the Japanese tours. Mox is a part-time special attraction for New Japan, who mainly works one-off appearances in between his dates for AEW. Putting the title on him--outside of Japan, no less--would probably be more of a publicity stunt than a long-term direction, and I suspect they'd get it off of him ASAP. But I can see them pulling such a stunt right now, since Naito doesn't need a long title reign, and you can always switch the title at Dontaku (May 4) or Dominion (June 9) or Forbidden Door (June 30).
The match itself should be pretty damn good. Naito hasn't wowed me against SANADA or Yota Tsuji, but I figure Moxley (and a US audience starved for hot New Japan matches) can make the difference. Every near-fall should mean something. Could Moxley really win the big one? Could Naito really beat the top western wrestler outside of WWE? Could we really see an IWGP championship change hands in Chicago? Could Naito really close the show by speaking English? I don't know about you, but I'm pretty pumped for this.
My brain says Naito will keep the belt until January. My gut says I should listen to my brain. But my heart says fuck that shit, go Mox.
Nic Nemeth vs. Tomohiro Ishii - Nemeth is not defending his IWGP global title here. The original plan was for him to make his first defense against Hiroshi Tanahashi on April 6, but that got delayed by Tana's ankle injury. So I guess the idea is that Nemeth won't defend the title until Tana is ready for the shot he was promised. Of course, if Ishii wins here, he'll obviously earn himself a title match later on.
As Dolph Ziggler, Nemeth spent much of his WWE career in roughly the same level Ishii has found in New Japan, as the guy who can deliver a big match and threaten to beat the top guys without ever really making it to the top. The challenge for Nemeth now is to prove he can go beyond that role, both here with this new championship and in TNA where he's chasing their world title. We'll see how well Nemeth fares in New Japan, but for right now he's not booked against Ishii to lose.
Matt Riddle vs. Zack Sabre Jr. - This is for Riddle's NJPW World television title, so this match will have a 15-minute time limit. Riddle won the belt from Hiroshi Tanahashi in February, who won it from Sabre back in January. So this is Sabre's big chance to get the belt back, and he does want it, but he's really looking past that to get in the hunt for the IWGP world title. This should be a good mix of styles, but they'll have a hard time convincing me Sabre is going to win. Champ retains.
Eddie Kingston & ? & ? & ? vs. Gabe Kidd & ? & ? & ? - This is billed as a "riot rules" match, so there will be no tagging in or at and no disqualification, so the two teams can just brawl all over the place. Six of the eight participants will not be revealed until they make their entrances. This match came about after Kingston and Kidd went to a double count-out in January.
The structure of the match is weird because you'd think Kidd would just team with the rest of the Bullet Club War Dogs, except then it'd be 5-on-5 and David Finlay would be the focus instead of Kidd. Assuming Finlay isn't involved, it'd make sense for Kidd's partners to be Alex Coughlin, Clark Connors, and Drilla Moloney. But that's so obvious that there'd be no reason to keep it a secret if that was the actual plan. And now it seems like they couldn't do that even if they wanted to, since Coughlin abruptly announced his (legit?) retirement. I hope at least one guy on Kidd's team is a genuine surprise and a new War Dog. But I'm not confident we'll get three important surprises on his side.
I won't even hazard a guess who'll be on Eddie's team. It could be obvious choices like Homicide, Mark Briscoe, or Angel Ortiz. Or it could be guys that you'd never see coming but make sense if you know the lore. Or it could be the usual guys who work midcard matches on STRONG shows, and it'll just be like "yeah, okay, I guess."
I assume the destination is Eddie vs. Kidd for the STRONG men's title, which is the only belt Eddie has left since their last encounter, and the only one Kidd was interested in. If so, I think Kidd needs to pin the champion to end this match.
Mustafa Ali vs. Hiromu Takahashi - Ali is the TNA X division champion, but the title is not at stake in this match. This is his New Japan in-ring debut, although he appeared in a January video package to set up this match, shortly after exiting WWE. Ali is a local guy from Bolingbrook, so he should get a hero's welcome nonetheless. Hiromu has apparently brought at least one of his stuffed cats, which is a big deal to me because he doesn't use them enough these days.
This a treat for me since it'll be the first time I get to see Hiromu wrestle in person since he broke his neck in 2018. Hopefully things go better this time! Even so, I think Ali really ought to win in his first match with the company.
Jack Perry vs. Shota Umino - Perry showed up in New Japan back in January to sneak-attack Umino for no obvious reason. That led to a match on March 6, where Perry won and officially joined the House of Torture. Shota has been looking to avenge that defeat with a pinfall over Perry ever since; this may be his last chance to get it.
Perry is still under AEW contract, but he hasn't wrestled for the group since August 31, when he was suspended over a backstage altercation with CM Punk. (You might have heard about it.) That incident led to Punk being fired the day before an AEW pay-per-view in Chicago. Since then it's been an open question how Perry would be received in Chicago, and how he would be presented to handle that. I have to say, "put him in House of Torture" never would have occurred to me.
I expect Perry to pull every trick in the book to get heel heat and milk it for all it's worth. But it probably won't be a typical House of Torture match, if only because I doubt they're flying in EVIL, Dick Togo, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi, and Yoshinobu Kanemaru just to do run-ins. I suppose Perry could get the last laugh in this feud, but something tells me he'll put over Shota on his way out of New Japan, to set up his return to AEW.
El Phantasmo & Hikuleo vs. Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls vs. Tom Lawlor & Fred Rosser vs. Royce Isaacs & Jorel Nelson - ELP and Hiku issued an open challenge to defend their STRONG tag team title against any three teams. This is a standard four-way tag match, so each team gets a corner, and only two men can legally be in the ring at any time. The legal men can tag in anyone from any team. The first man to score a fall on any opponent will win the match and the title for his team.
The three challenger teams have all been mainstays of the STRONG brand, back when New Japan had a dedicated roster for taped weekly television in the US. Nowadays, though, the brand is just used for the occaisonal US-based pay-per-view, loaded up with key guys from the Japanese roster. That transition worked out well for Haste and Nicholls, who became a fixture in Japan. Not so much for former STRONG headliners Lawlor and Rosser; the story of their gradual reconciliation and alliance is barely a blip on the radar. Nelson and Isaacs are even deeper in obscurity; if this match was a three-way I don't even think they'd be on the card.
I don't see any point in changing the tag title here. The best reason to do it is if Phantasmo and Hiku are splitting up to work as singles. The next best reason would be if New Japan wants to put a new coat of paint on the STRONG brand and its titles, and they've shown no interest in doing that. I think the champs retain, and take the belts back to Japan until the next US show.
Stephanie Vaquer vs. AZM - Vaquer's STRONG women's title is up for grabs, but her CMLL women's world title is not. I'm still getting acquainted with both of these women; maybe seeing them live will really make them stick with me. I expect at some point Vaquer will drop the STRONG belt to someone on the STARDOM roster, but I don't think it'll be tonight.
Minoru Suzuki vs. Ren Narita - In January 2023, Suzuki and El Desperado unexpectedly made the save for Narita against the House of Torture. The unlikely trio fell apart in December when Narita betrayed Shota Umino to join the House of Torture. Since then we've seen Despy and Shota square off with Narita, but this is the first time he's had to face Suzuki.
Suzuki is the kind of guy who makes House of Torture bullshit more interesting, because he's arguably more evil and sadistic than the heels without needing any of their nonsense. Even so, I have to think Suzuki's role is to put over the rising young guy. But I'll be curious to see how Narita can pull this one off without a lot of run-ins.
Mina Shirakawa & Viva Van vs. Trish Adora & Alex Windsor - A week ago I couldn't even spell "Mina Shirakawa," and I didn't know anything about her. Now I know she's the woman who keeps running out to kiss Mariah May and drink champagne. So there you go.
I'm guessing the point of this match is to have a woman ready to challenge the winner of the STRONG women's title match. Adora already had her shot, and I don't expect her to get another so soon. So I'm thinking Shirakawa wins the match for her team.
Matt Vandagriff vs. Zane Jay - This is billed as a "strong survivor" match; it's a battle between two LA Dojo trainees, with the winner earning the right to be on the next US-based show. Apparently Vandagriff is 3-0 in this format. Let's just assume he improves to 4-0.

Hi, sorry to trouble you but ive been behind on the bright stuff. i havent been comfortable with figuring out the situation for personal reasons, but after finding out that you were the one working on shaw ive been interested in hearing about your stories with them. and possibly doing some drawings on them if you have an appearance or faceclaim for shaw.
Hey hey!
I have a design for shaw’s original body, but honestly you can draw him however you’d like! The point of Shaw is that he’s just playing body roulette as due to his curse his soul gets randomly thrust into the nearest 29 year old, as that was how old he was when the incident that caused this happened.
If you’re curious about Shaw himself tho? Here’s some brief tidbits:
I’m hoping to make him Mexican American, with his dad Ansel having picked an Anglo last name upon joining the foundation to try and avoid prejudice and unnecessary scrutiny of his works fueled by racism (this was the late 19th century after all). Still need to run this by Kaktus. If Eli does end up being a second gen immigrant he’d be mostly of Tarahumaran descent. Ansel would be Mestizó and thus lighter skinned while his mother would’ve been fully Tarahumaran
Here’s a wip of his design sheet:
Tumblr media
He’s ace/aro! Also genderfluid. Doesn’t really ever experience dysphoria, just goes with what body he’s in
He’s on the ASPD spectrum, specifically classified as a clinical sociopath due to not only the abuse and emotional neglect that comes with your dad being a massive tiger parent, but also due to the trauma of the event that caused his current state of being. Might also have undiagnosed autism but I’m not sure yet.
Definitely suffers from going wild once given an ounce of freedom now that his dad’s gone. This includes him being an adrenaline junkie as well as indulging in a lot of junk food. A lot of people with normal to slow metabolisms have been shown to gain weight after long term possession.
He’s also a chronic vaper. Claims the nic helps with his depression. Previous bodies usually report having nicotine cravings post regaining control as a result
Has a therapy cat named Jinx. He calls it reparations despite his current situation mostly being his own fault lmao
Oh yeah and if there’s no 29 year olds left on earth? You get ghost Shaw. He’s doomed to wander for eternity if the world ends because his soul is marked to explicitly be rejected from any afterlife ever
Lastly, he’s an only child so unfortunately he had to be both the black sheep and the golden child.
Hopes this gives you an idea of what the final article surrounding him might look like!

RANGERS MAKING MOVES EFFECTING WOLF PACK

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
<i>We know that this animal from photo was wild canid come from somewhere in China, Myanmar, Vietnam or Laos. I remember that from this profil - "fox" is similar to Nyctereutes procyonoides but this is only effect optical. This is really bad photo, from this formulation it appear how raccoon dog but this is not this (.....) Now, I'm totally sure that this animal is really more relatives to Vulpes than to Nyctereutes. I first thought that raccoon dog might ancestor this "fox", because is one of most primitive canid in the world. But now I totally persuaded myself that is more related to foxes from Vulpes genus. This probably represent new primitive or inversely - totally modern genus in tribe Foxes (Vulpini) and perhaps far related with red fox (Vulpes vulpes), corsac fox (Vulpes corsac) and arctic fox (Alopex lagopus), but this is not some that species, but it really represent new species."
Do którego należy cyjon.

A mógłbyś dokładniej podać źródła?

albo to inna, nieznana rasa psa.

Nmnm.

Oprócz tego ssaka, były tam łaskun chiński i inne łasze, latające wiewiórkolotki, mundżak chiński, nietoperze rudawki, "śmierdzące borsuki" z rodziny skunksów, kot bengalski, a więc jedynie dzikie gatunki, prócz kota domowego. Powstaje pytanie, czy ludzie az tak bardzo by sobie pomylili znane zwierzeta? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ dzika przyroda. exploracja i odkrycia zoologiczne. wild fauna & flora notes. from quatl pietrzak/quatlwork . 2008-2017.

Vulpes sp.  - Renard

Fears- Book 1: Awakening [Chapter 7-A new Day after a long night]
TW! Violence, Gore, Injury, Fire related injury, body horror - Nicolas opened his eyes. His fury for the abomination that consumed him whole was simply bubbling just beneath his calm facade, his expression struggling to hide his total destain for the creature that ate him.
“Thank you, Willa” he spoke in a feigned cold and lifeless tone, and yet his expression showed one of gratitude, he had a real friend in a trying time as this, is not something he’d take for granted, and he didn't plan to now.
“Uhh, anytime, Nic?” Willa manages to utter from her confused stupor. This was something she didn’t imagine happening, not one bit. And yet here she was, her face lit with a potent concoction of awe and mutual reverence by the sight of his current actions. Just what happened to him before she came here? and better yet what could he do. "Hey Nicolas" She spoke, still a winded from her exertion, his gaze met hers as a wild smirk of bared teeth grew, each one sharper than the last in an unspoken pact of mutual animosity "do what you gotta do, I'll be right beside ya".
Nicolas smirked back and nodded with determined vigor before he stared at Visera who was having none of this nonsense that appeared before her, their sharp teeth laid bare for the duo while letting a low growl that almost rumbled the earth. “You...” he spoke to the abomination in front of him in an almost abrupt tone “Bloody. abomination.” his teeth clenched to the point of cracking “I’m ready for round two!” Plumes of smoke and embers ruptured from the gaps between his mouth.
Each step left a trail of flames, each one heavier than the last. His breath exudes flame with every intake of breath.
“O one of flames, I hallowed in thy name” he prayed whilst taking another step. Tendrils sprung froth from Visera at alarming speeds, her rage now at its peak whilst he continued his prayer "Grant me strength to decimate my foes asunder". Each attack done by Visera was repugnant of lust and insatiable hunger for the teen before them, each tendril barbed and aimed for his chest, and yet did little to deter Nicolas "Fuel me with the wrath and animosity to tare all who oppose me into the winds and bring the world a barren asunder" "Allow me to unleash my fury on all that I see so that I may satisfy my own eternal flame" Each tendril burned to ash while he spoke, each faster and less far than the last.
"Allow my fire to rival that of the underworld itself and burn the very soul" He kneeled before Visera clasping his hands with a vice-like grip, it was almost insulting to the abomination as it let out an enraged roar.
"FOR." Visera let out one last attack, be it out of frustration for his actions or desperation to actually hit Nicolas remains unsaid as the abomination gathered enough mass to hammer Nicolas into the ground.
"I." Its speed was almost blinding to the eye as Visera's expression became overwhelmed with bloodlust.
"AM." Willa reached out to Nicolas, and even with her faith in what he planned to do she didn't exactly like the thought of it failing and seeing him splattered on the ground, while Ellisa patiently waited for a twist in Visera's arrogant fate.
"YOURS." was the last he spoke, the weighted mass engulfed itself in flames mere moments before even landing on a single snow-white hair.
At that moment, the abomination reeled and pulled their burning mass away, for a foreign feeling washed upon her very being, screaming at him to pull away and avoid danger.
that feeling was pain.
In realms far beyond mortals, the pyre grew restless, a single flicker and sputter, not similar to a candle in the wind. Its movement echoed through the realm, agitating, hungering, ravenously wanting its prize as its desires affected the souls in its possession, causing each to stir and agitate with each move of the flame.
Its hunger for more fuel ate away at the divine winter body it found itself on. Forcing the divine to stir and creek in its catatonic state.
Nicolas’ eyes slowly turned to a milky-white hue, with each praise to the divine flame, he grew more agitated as his anger for retribution grew, the smoke venting through his mouth grew more intense before each exhale jetted out smoke, then ember, and finally flame.
The air around Nicolas felt as if a great furnace had been lit, each second the heat grew more intense than it was previously, and before long he was consumed by the flames, and what remained to stare at the abomination of flesh, with unbridled malice.
His posture was hunched, with each part of his body nearly burnt away to the point of bone. His skin was charcoal black, with each twitch of his joints cracked and clicked, with skin dust flaking away like burnt wood.
His eyes glowed with malice and vitriol hidden behind a veil of pure white, whilst his hair became a charcoal black as it smoldered away in the fire.
His arms doubled in length and ended with hands, though spindly were twice the size before burning, each finger flaking ash and embers, yet were thinner than needles and sharper than any blade that could be found, as his lips and cheeks burned away to reveal the row of jagged and pitch black teeth.
The burnt beast that used to be Nicolas stared at Visera with an ever-burning contempt for its existence, his teeth chattered whilst a lowly growl left their mouth.
He opened his mouth, but the lack of muscles to restrict much of his movements caused his jaw to reach to his neck with a near-dangerous speed, before releasing an ear-piercing and sacrilegious mixture between a howl and a scream. Its sound mimicked the screams of the damned as it echoed through the forests and beyond, carrying its ever-burning and unending malice through the heavens and the hells.
"I'll..." he spoke. his voice echoed and reverted before finishing his threat, his rage reflecting the fire that once consumed him "I'LL BURN YOU DOWN TO ASH!"
Looking at Visera once again, he sped into a near-predatory sprint, their eyes showing a maddening fixation. The abomination had little time to react before the ceaseless searing sensation of fire connected to its flesh.
The smell of burnt flesh permeated through the clearing as Nicolas tore Visera piece by piece, each wad of flesh that came to contact with his hands burned away into lifeless ashes in an instant, and he showed almost no sign of ceasing.
Almost.
Ichor doused his flames, taking much longer for the flesh in his grasp to burn, even if by a small margin whilst tendrils, wrapping, pinning, and piercing, onto his faux fragile body, restraining what remained of his once human form as he struggled, thrashed and screamed forth from the abominations carnal chains as a cycle of burning and retaining had formed.
Willa and Elissa could only watch, be it awe, confusion, or reverence at the events unfolding as pitch-black smog and embers erupted from within the opening Nicolas had burrowed into the abomination. The tormented and defiant screams of Visera followed by the wrathful and animalistic howls of Nicolas melded into a cocophonistic-forge of sound as if it were the gods themselves screaming from within.
Now out of her fatigued state, Willa spent no time watching the battle and ran to the fleshy advisory, she wouldn’t simply observe while her friend struggled in its horrendous grasp, especially when she too wants to help settle her own score for the attack the abomination did to her.
Trying once more to gain hold of her newfound power, the winds began to match her already determined mood as debris flew to her arms, similarly donning a pair of wind-clad gauntlets. Her familiar green outline, now an iridescent aura, shined way as if a lone star gave way through the cloudy underbrush to reveal the adrift and indentured to freedom.
“HEY!” she yelled to the wretched sentient mound of flesh before her, watching as they turned their attention to her with pained annoyance as a combination between a pained wince and a wrathful scowl was forlorn on its featureless expression “LET!” she cocked her hand. The wind surrounding it spun at a faster rate while condensing to her fist as she barked  “GO!” before performing a wind-empowered sucker punch to the opening Nicolas made, sending a concentrated maelstrom down her friend's path.
The Wind tore through the restraints that bound Nicolas alongside the damage to Visera themself as the fire inside grew from orange to blue.
Avoiding tendrils be it flight or phasing through, Willa closed the gap between her and the abomination before performing a gale-imbued sucker punch to Visera's side.
Whatever flesh and bone in the area where Willa’s fist collided began to tear and twist with the wind at a fast rate, seemingly easily tearing a tissue paper and as messy as grinding stone. Flesh, bone, sinew, and ichor spun alongside the wind’s debris before rocketing away in all directions as another hole began was made into Visera's mass, staining her favorite sweater in the process from both gore and the sudden gust of blue ember.
It would take a miracle to get the stains off, much less the smell and the possible explanation her parents will have when she gets home, but that’s something she wouldn’t think about now as each punch is drilled and carved deeper into Visera.
Sweat began to pour from the heat of the flame as brilliance struck Willa. Flying into Visera she began to search for Nicolas, for the end was at hand.
For the duo, it was an opportunity for payback and well-deserved retribution. For the abomination, it was no short of torture. The feeling of helplessness against what she would normally see as mere mobile morsels, her prey… was humbling in a divine way, yet felt all the more humiliating for it.
She would not have it go on.
Their sense of duty…her status as this branch’s abomination, and most of all her pride would not let her idly take this unjust repentance any further.
Her surface became a shell of bone, each section barbed with shards of accursed ivory. Tendrils flailed with feral ferocity, slicing, crushing, and tearing anything unfortunate in their wake but soon all fell still, the flying lunar-bound pest was gone, and the heat ceased, had she won?
A geyser of flame burst forth from within Visera, then another, and another, the heat blasting from thin them was stronger thousands fold.
It felt as if the very sun erupted from within her, and their agony was as palpable as their screams.
Another scream followed suit as the burnt and deranged form of Nicolas erupted to the surface. His anger still explosive before their personal hell, screaming twice the abominations volume, he began to claw and gash recklessly, as an all too familiar wild breeze dried any ichor on him alongside heating it further.
So that’s what had happened in her moment of pyrrhic peace.
Visera could only scream as whatever remaining eye that wasn't burnt by Nciolas’ flames or gouged out by his claws bore witness to the brutality as their very being was mercilessly turned to ash.
And in a brief moment, both sides of the planet were day.
Nicolas opened his eyes, the rage within him now left to smolder as confusion took its place. the forest trees swaying peacefully in the twilight despite the burn, wind, and fleshy-induced damage caused.
Much to his surprise, all of it was confined to the area near the base of the dark church.
“Hey,” spoke a familiar person, her voice sounded somewhat winded, though it could be worse if he felt honest ‘Willa?’ he mouthed. His voice was almost below a whisper, and his throat felt too strained from his near ceaseless screaming, leaving him barely able to speak.
“Down here, you git” Looking down, Willa was beneath him, carrying him on her own shoulders as she gave a cheeky grin.  “Glad to see ya back from all that crazy stuff” Her cheery tone was slowly becoming more of confusion and worry, and her expression slowly became straight “…what happened?”
‘It’s a very long story’ he whispered…his voice hadn’t fully recovered and was in critical need of water. At least he got his message across, judging by how he saw Willa change her expression to one of understanding, her nod confirming his theory…he felt too tired to see everything other than his own two eyes, thank the gods. Though he wondered if they
“I’m impressed. You survived” Elissa stood up as she spoke. Clapping her hands in condescendingly, she approached the two whilst kicking off the ashen remains of Visera “Normally I would have considered you condemned the moment the battle of Visera began,” she half-heartedly lamented “But you proved to be more durable than expected tonight, acolyte" she spoke with respect before handing Nicolas a fruit.
The fruit was of bronze color, and its shape was of a spiked sphere, taking a bite, and the sweet taste flooded his mind as vigor rushed immediately through him while passing it to Willa "Keep it up and I may consider referring you by your birth-given name” she gave a somewhat hint of a smile.
Yet it felt more like a placated facade than anything genuine to the duo, at least her gestures spoke volumes than her words.
By this point, Nicolas was simply tired, and more than merely physically fatigued. He merely wanted to leave and nodded his head, though Willa looked at her with a hint of confusion and disgust. Elissa simply dismissed her existence as she picked up what appeared to be a wad of writhing flesh.
“Hm. shame, you didn’t fully incinerate Visera” she offhandedly commented before tossing the wad to the duo, who by this point now stood side by side as the remains of the abomination landed firmly on Nic’s hoodie with an unimpressive splat, sliding slowly to his arms as ichor discharged from them, her form writhing in fear, despite not able it communicate nor sense much of the world around them compared before the fight, and yet they recognized his touch…she felt as if this was torture as Nicolas expression formed to a scowl less at the abomination (but still found it in him to hate her) and more so the fact he got thrown the thing that ate him and the mess of his clothes when they were now fixed.
“Uhh excuse me but…WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” Willa complained with justified outrage at the wildern before her. they both just survived the thing that not only ate her friend but also nearly killed her, and this person had the gall to simply toss it to them without much thought…just who are they?
“Well, if you must know I am your friend and abomination’s superior, and I don’t take privy to your tone,“ she spoke with venom but quickly dissipated as it came “However since you proved to not be quite formidable despite the lack of experience, I am willing to tolerate it and allow you safe passage out…once”.
Willa took a deep breath. Her fist was well clenched but took restraint, letting a small but quick exhale, she was better than this, plus she was tired and the lack of a green outline was a testament to it alongside her friend, who looked as worse for wear.
“As I was saying prior to your intrusion,” she glared at Willa before proceeding “Visera has gotten too prideful of herself and so, I have decided on letting them stay with you, both as punishment for her actions to you and your…acquaintance, and to form a bond with one another as you two will be working together if the need so arise The duo looked at her with a cocktail of emotions. And yet they understood all the same, especially now that they were going home now “hm,” Elissa glared at them with a hidden disdain before turning to the entrance. Her steps felt methodical in an odd way “I will inform Fennec of the events that transpired. you're all dismissed and remember heretic. Be ready for when you are summoned for an actual task”
Nicolas sighed in relief and wasted no time leaving…he just wanted to go home by this point.
Nicolas and Willa walked through the streets as they both made their way home. Both had been silent for the entire walk, as Visera writhed in Nic’s arms, both had an eventful night, both forgetting the sun had begun to rise.
Nicolas habitually reached for his goggles, only to realize that he left didn’t need them any longer. Sighing in phyric peace he lowered his arm underneath the amorphous remains of the abomination flesh, he was requested to carry.
“So…” Willa broke the silence. Her face showed concern and confusion, nic could only glance at his friend before she continued “should we keep this a secret? You know, the thing that happened earlier?” she asked. Emphasizing the blob in Nic’s hands as it continued to struggle.
Nic could only really ponder on it, so much had happened and though tempting it was to keep it hidden, he found no need to. Aside from the trauma that one day comes up once the adrenaline from both of them had worn off, he didn’t need to use omniscience to know that. there was the glaring fact their world was now fused with one of magic, so keeping it a secret was not something they could do. At least forever.
Regardless nic hastily shook his head, looking at Willa with a tired yet somewhat deadpanned expression ‘We are getting therapy’ he whispered. Nearly straining his voice as he tried to make it more audible as the two stopped by the bus station.
Despite the night now over, he knew this was not the end of his nor Willa’s unfortunate adventures in this strange world everyone found themselves in. he can only hope the ones they do would be with Daniel, the adventure he had with him were nicer compared to what happened to them as the bus stopped at their station.

Like many children reared on Shock Theater in the fifties, Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi grabbed an early spot on my list of favorite actors. Karloff for this forlorn interpretation of the Frankenstein monster and Lugosi for his hypnotic, continental interpretation of Dracula.
Over years, many actors have tried to inhabit those roles but none have acheived the heights of Lugosi or Karloff.
So what happens when Nic Cage attempts a twenty first century version of Dracula? Of course I've got to see it but I'm mos def gonna wait until it comes on teevee.
The movie is called Renfield and it showed up on my cable system last night. So who is Renfield and what does he have to do with Karloff or Lugosi or Dracula or Frankenstein.
Renfield is a character in the original novel "Dracula" by Bram Stoker, published in 1897. Renfield is a patient at the lunatic asylum in Dr. John Seward's care. He becomes one of the prominent characters in the story due to his peculiar behavior and his connection to Count Dracula.
Renfield is initially introduced as an eccentric and mentally disturbed individual. He is obsessed with consuming living creatures, particularly insects and small animals. Throughout the novel, Renfield serves as a representation of the theme of madness and the influence of the supernatural. As the story progresses, it is revealed that Renfield is under the influence of Count Dracula. Renfield acts as Dracula's servant, and the Count uses his powers of persuasion to control and manipulate him. Renfield is drawn to Dracula's dark influence and believes that by serving him, he will gain immortality.
Renfield's character provides insight into the nature of Dracula and his ability to exert control over others. He serves as a foil to other characters who try to resist Dracula's influence, such as the protagonist, Jonathan Harker.
Ultimately, Renfield's fate is intertwined with that of Dracula. He plays a role in the climactic events of the novel, where his loyalty to Dracula is tested and his connection to the vampire is revealed to other characters.
Dwight Frye was an actor who portrayed the character Renfield in the 1931 film adaptation of "Dracula," directed by Tod Browning. Frye's performance as Renfield is considered iconic and memorable, contributing to the lasting popularity of the character.
In the film, Renfield is portrayed as a mentally unstable solicitor who visits Count Dracula's castle in Transylvania. He becomes a captive of Dracula and is slowly driven to madness by the vampire's influence. Dwight Frye's portrayal of Renfield is known for its intensity and manic energy, capturing the character's descent into madness and his desperate struggle against Dracula's control.
Frye's performance in "Dracula" earned him recognition as a talented character actor, and he went on to appear in other notable horror films of the era, including "Frankenstein" (1931) and "Bride of Frankenstein" (1935). His portrayal of Renfield remains one of his most famous roles and has left a lasting impression on audiences over the years.
Frye brought a high level of intensity and manic energy to his portrayal of Renfield. He displayed a wide range of emotions, from fear and desperation to madness and obsession. His performance was marked by wild gestures, facial expressions, and vocal delivery, effectively conveying Renfield's mental and emotional turmoil.
Frye's physical transformation throughout the film is noteworthy. As Renfield succumbs to Dracula's influence, his appearance changes dramatically. Frye convincingly portrayed Renfield's deteriorating state, both physically and mentally, through subtle changes in his posture, facial expressions, and mannerisms. Frye effectively conveyed the internal conflict within Renfield. Despite his captivity and his descent into madness, Renfield intermittently displayed moments of lucidity and attempts to resist Dracula's control. Frye portrayed this struggle between Renfield's sanity and his allegiance to the vampire, adding depth and complexity to the character.
Dwight Frye's performance as Renfield in the 1931 film adaptation of "Dracula" is considered memorable for several reasons:
Frye brought a high level of intensity and manic energy to his portrayal of Renfield. He displayed a wide range of emotions, from fear and desperation to madness and obsession. His performance was marked by wild gestures, facial expressions, and vocal delivery, effectively conveying Renfield's mental and emotional turmoil. Physical Transformation: Frye's physical transformation throughout the film is noteworthy. As Renfield succumbs to Dracula's influence, his appearance changes dramatically. Frye convincingly portrayed Renfield's deteriorating state, both physically and mentally, through subtle changes in his posture, facial expressions, and mannerisms. Capturing the Inner Struggle: Frye effectively conveyed the internal conflict within Renfield. Despite his captivity and his descent into madness, Renfield intermittently displayed moments of lucidity and attempts to resist Dracula's control. Frye portrayed this struggle between Renfield's sanity and his allegiance to the vampire, adding depth and complexity to the character. Frye's performance is associated with several memorable lines and scenes in the film. His exclamation of "The Master is coming!" and his eerie laughter became iconic moments that have been referenced and parodied in various adaptations and pop culture references over the years.
In the same year as Dracula, Frye also portrayed Fritz , Dr. Frankenstein's hunchbacked assistant in the film Frankenstein. Fritz assists Dr. Frankenstein in acquiring body parts for his experiments and plays a significant role in the story. However, it's important to note that the character of "Igor" as a hunchbacked assistant did not appear until later Frankenstein adaptations and is not present in the 1931 film.
Bela Lugosi played the character of Igor in the film "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man" released in 1943. In this film, Lugosi portrayed the role of a hunchbacked assistant named "Ygor," who assists Dr. Frankenstein. Ygor is a different character than Igor, although they share some similarities in terms of their hunchbacked appearance and their association with Dr. Frankenstein.
This we arrive full circle in the Karloff, Lugosi, Frye, Igor, Renfield, James Whale, Todd Browning, Fritz, Stoker, Shelley, Cage, Hoult configuration that more fully prepares us for Renfield.
The film Renfield deals with camp, co-dependency, counseling and Cage. Let's continue our review preview with Cage in comparison to other Draculas. Much of the success or failure of Renfield depends upon the casting of Nic Cage as the Count. Since Bela Lugosi's iconic portrayal of Dracula, several actors have taken on the role of the infamous vampire.
Christopher Lee is perhaps the most well-known actor to portray Dracula after Lugosi. He played the character in a series of Hammer Horror films, starting with "Horror of Dracula" (1958) and continuing in several sequels. In my opinion, Lee's portrayal of Dracula lacked emotional depth and complexity. His performance relied more on his physical presence and charisma rather than delving into the psychological aspects of the character. Lee's Dracula was often portrayed as a purely evil and malevolent figure, lacking any hint of sympathy or complexity. This portrayal didn't explore the potential layers of the character and instead presented a more one-dimensional villain.
Frank Langella: Langella played Dracula in the 1979 film adaptation of the Broadway play "Dracula," directed by John Badham. Langella's performance felt somewhat one-note, with a relatively limited emotional range. Some viewers felt that his portrayal did not showcase the full spectrum of Dracula's complexity and inner turmoil, resulting in a less nuanced depiction.
Gary Oldman's portrayal of Dracula in Francis Ford Coppola's "Bram Stoker's Dracula" (1992) was overly theatrical and occasionally veered into melodrama. His performance became exaggerated, which distracted from the subtleties of the character. While Oldman brought a sense of intensity and passion to the role, his portrayal lacked the seductive, captivating qualities that are often associated with Dracula. Oldman's performance did not fully capture the alluring and charismatic nature of the character.
Actors are fond of playing characters with eccentricities and idiosyncracies. Few characters have as many unconventional behaviors as Dracula. He has the hypnotic gaze, the fanged teeth, the air of elegance, the burden of immortality, the transformation into wolf, bat or mist., superhuman strength and the crippling fear and repulsion towards sunlight, crucifixes and or holy water. Furthermore, Dracula must retain characteristic complexity mixed with allure, passion and personal magnetism.
A twenty first century Dracula must touch all these bases amidst furious green screening and ever increasing demands for irony and camp.
Is Nic Cage up to the challenge?
Stay tuned.

Oldman's performance did not fully capture the alluring and charismatic nature of the character.
Inconsistent Accent: One criticism that emerged was the inconsistency in Oldman's accent as Dracula. The character's accent fluctuated throughout the film, ranging from a thick Eastern European accent to a more standard British accent. This inconsistency was seen as a distraction that affected the overall cohesiveness of the performance.
Lack of Seductiveness: While Oldman brought a sense of intensity and passion to the role, some critics felt that his portrayal lacked the seductive and captivating qualities that are often associated with Dracula. They believed that his performance did not fully capture the alluring and charismatic nature of the character.
Christopher Lee: Lee is perhaps the most well-known actor to portray Dracula after Lugosi. He played the character in a series of Hammer Horror films, starting with "Horror of Dracula" (1958) and continuing in several sequels.

Ultimately, opinions on performances are subjective, and Christopher Lee's portrayal continues to have a significant place in the Dracula legacy.

They believed that his performance did not effectively capture the charismatic and alluring nature of Dracula, which is an essential aspect of the character's appeal.

Here are some criticisms that have been raised regarding Waits' portrayal of Renfield:

Lack of Nuance: Some critics felt that Waits' portrayal of Renfield lacked depth and nuance. They believed that his performance leaned more towards a caricature, preventing the character from being fully fleshed out and multidimensional.

User what is co dependence ChatGPT Codependence, or codependency, is a behavioral and psychological pattern that often occurs in relationships where one person relies heavily on the other for their self-worth, identity, and emotional well-being. It involves an unhealthy and dysfunctional way of relating to others, characterized by a lack of boundaries, excessive caretaking, and an overemphasis on meeting the needs of others at the expense of one's own needs.
In codependent relationships, individuals often have low self-esteem, struggle with assertiveness, and have an intense fear of rejection or abandonment. They may feel responsible for other people's feelings, actions, or well-being, and often prioritize others' needs and wants over their own. Codependents may also have difficulty setting boundaries, have a strong desire for approval, and may become enmeshed or overly dependent on their partner or loved ones.

Okkay what does Renfield/Frye have to do with Frankentsein?
Played by actor Dwight Frye, Fritz is Dr. Frankenstein's hunchbacked assistant in the film. Fritz assists Dr. Frankenstein in acquiring body parts for his experiments and plays a significant role in the story. However, it's important to note that the character of "Igor" as a hunchbacked assistant did not appear until later Frankenstein adaptations and is not present in the 1931 film.
When Igor as we now know him didn't show up until Frankenstein Meets the Wlofman. In this film Igor is played by Bela Lugosi who completes the Renfield Dracula, Frankenstein, Igor, Karl circle into the twenty first century when at last we arrive at two Nic...Cage and Hoult.
Is there an Igor in the 1931 Frankensteinn ChatGPT Apologies for the confusion in my previous response. You are correct, there is a character named "Fritz" in the 1931 film "Frankenstein," who is often mistakenly referred to as "Igor." Played by actor Dwight Frye, Fritz is Dr. Thank you for pointing out the error, and I apologize for any confusion caused.
User did Bela Lugosi ever play the part of Igor ChatGPT No, Bela Lugosi did not play the part of Igor in any of the Universal Studios' Frankenstein films. The character of Igor, as commonly depicted as a hunchbacked assistant to Dr. Frankenstein, was introduced in the 1939 film "Son of Frankenstein," portrayed by actor Bela Lugosi. However, it's worth noting that Igor's character was portrayed by different actors in subsequent Frankenstein films, but Bela Lugosi did not play the role of Igor in any of those movies. Bela Lugosi is best known for his portrayal of Count Dracula in the 1931 film "Dracula" and his association with the iconic vampire character.
User How about in Frankenstein Meets the Wolfman ChatGPT Apologies for the previous incorrect information. Bela Lugosi did indeed play the character of Igor in the film "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man" released in 1943. In this film, Lugosi portrayed the role of a hunchbacked assistant named "Ygor," who assists Dr. Frankenstein. Ygor is a different character than Igor, although they share some similarities in terms of their hunchbacked appearance and their association with Dr. Frankenstein. Bela Lugosi's performance as Ygor is one of his memorable roles in the Universal Monsters franchise. Thank you for pointing out the error, and I apologize for any confusion caused.
User what's the difference between Ygor and Igor ChatGPT The characters of Ygor and Igor, despite having similar names and certain thematic similarities, are distinct characters in the Universal Monsters franchise.
Ygor, as portrayed by Bela Lugosi in "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man" (1943) and subsequent films, is a hunchbacked assistant with a deformed neck who becomes associated with the Frankenstein family. He first appears in the film "Son of Frankenstein" (1939) and plays a significant role in subsequent Frankenstein films. Ygor is often depicted as a cunning and malevolent character who manipulates others to further his own agenda. He has a strong connection to the Frankenstein lineage and often seeks to revive or use the Monster for his own purposes.
On the other hand, Igor is a character commonly associated with the Frankenstein mythos, but not in the original novel by Mary Shelley. Igor was introduced as a hunchbacked assistant to Dr. Frankenstein in various adaptations, notably the 1931 film "Frankenstein" portrayed by Dwight Frye. Igor has since become an iconic figure in popular culture, often depicted as a subservient and loyal assistant who helps Dr. Frankenstein in his experiments.
While both Ygor and Igor share the characteristic of being hunchbacked assistants to Dr. Frankenstein, they are distinct characters with separate storylines and portrayals in the Universal Monsters franchise.
User In the 1931 movie Igor is not called Igor ChatGPT You are correct, and I apologize for the confusion in my previous responses. In the 1931 film "Frankenstein," Dwight Frye's character is not called Igor. He is referred to as "Fritz," not Igor, and serves as Dr. Frankenstein's assistant. Fritz is a hunchbacked, malicious character who helps Dr. Frankenstein with his experiments and plays a crucial role in the story. The character of Igor, as commonly known today, was not introduced until later Frankenstein adaptations and is not present in the original 1931 film. Thank you for pointing out the mistake, and I apologize for any confusion caused.

In 2017 Universal debuted their ambitious plans for a series of reboots of their popular 1930s and 1940s horror films. Dubbed the Universal “Dark Universe,” it yielded only two features — 2017’s “The Mummy” with Tom Cruise and 2020’s “The Invisible Man” starring Elisabeth Moss — before being scrapped. And while director Chris McKay’s (“The Tomorrow War”) “Renfield” isn’t directly a Dark Universe project it gives audiences hope that maybe the concept might yield its own reanimation.
“Renfield” is the story of Robert Montagu Renfield (Nicholas Hoult), the codependent familiar of the best known vampire in the world, Count Dracula (Nicolas Cage). Renfield spends his days attending a support group for adults in toxic relationships, in the hopes that he can finally break free of Dracula, once and for all. But when Renfield gets caught in the middle of a war between a prominent New Orleans crime family and beat cop Rebecca Quincy (Awkwafina) it could lead to Dracula finally find a way to achieve world domination.
“Renfield” is at its best when its focused on the eponymous character and bad Drac problem. Cage and Hoult recreate scenes from Bela Lugosi’s 1931 feature with such a striking attention to detail you’d believe they, Hoult especially, had been in the film all along. In the modern world, Hoult never goes for an imitation of original Renfield actor Dwight Frye so eschews the original character’s madness for more sadness and desperation. He’s a victim of abuse with no idea who to turn to, and that’s outside the fact that he’s lived for hundreds of years by providing victims for a literal vampire.
Hoult’s charm and sweetness is tempered by Cage’s showy, maniacal performance as Dracula and it’s frustrating that there aren’t more scenes where the two just play off each other. One moment, where Dracula sees Renfield’s new humble abode, is especially fun as the two go for broke; Hoult cowers in a corner and tries to employ therapeutic techniques Cage’s character berates. In their interactions together the script delves into the parasitic elements of their relationship, as well as deconstructing elements of the original film and Bram Stoker’s novel.
The problem is the Renfield/Dracula relationship is placed alongside Awkwafina’s cop character and her battle to rid New Orleans of the Lobo criminal family, headed up by a deliciously villainous Ella (Shohreh Aghdashloo) and her amateur son, Teddy (Ben Schwartz). It’s easy to see why this plot isn’t enough to sustain its own movie, but why place it in a horror comedy so specific? Really, it seems to only fit because, forsaking the reasoning in Stoker’s book, when Renfield eats bugs (his version of spinach, apparently) he becomes super-strong and has the ability to do everything from chop someone’s arms off with a serving platter to ripping off an entire face with just his bare hands.
In these moments, Hoult and Awkwafina have a decent buddy chemistry, but it’s unremarkable in the grand scheme of things, and every time Cage shows up you just wish the movie eschewed Awkwafina’s wisecracks for more of the horror hijinks. That being said, the fight choreography is remarkable, particularly an extended sequence in an apartment complex. The film uses its R-rating to a healthy advantage, which some shockingly inventive kills, though a lot of the impact is undone by obvious CGI blood that gets more noticeable the more it’s utilized (which is a lot in this movie).
Aghdashaloo and Schwartz are also fun to watch, but would see more suited to a “Kick-Ass” movie than here. In fact, the plotline feels very much like a throwaway moment from that film series more than anything else. It would have been better to integrate Aghdashaloo into the horror mythos in some way, especially since her and Cage’s Dracula have a fairly intense chemistry in the one scene they share together.
But every time things start to drag — the movie is barely 90 minutes so thankfully things move quickly — the comedy gets a shot in the arm from Renfield’s visit to his support group, led by the encouraging Mark (Brandon Scott Jones, “Isn’t It Romantic”). The various characters associated with the group all have their own versions of Dracula, albeit their blood sucking is metaphorical, and their stories delight. Had “Renfield,” as a film, continued what it started with Renfield, the character, being interested in avenging his new-found friends it might have been stronger.
“Renfield” is a great example of how Universal could resurrect its Dark Universe. Take tangential characters or questions audiences have wondered about and find a way to actually explore them. Hoult and Cage do so well in the roles and the script does its best to find a new way into modernizing Stoker’s incomparable novel. These are the children of the night worth following!

Nic looked up from their coursework when they heard the sound of one of their roommates getting home. They were grateful for the distraction, because, as usual lately, it wasn't going well.
"Well hey there! Almost didn't hear you coming in over the sound of my dreams just... Absolutely shattering on the floor." They flopped over on the couch and let out a purposefully overdramatic sigh. "So, what's new in your world lately?"

Anne Briggs - The Jim Lloyd Sessions, 1990-91
After Nic Jones yesterday, we're sticking with folk music from the British isles today. Via the always valuable Colin Harper YouTube channel, these rare latter-day Anne Briggs appearances are a great listen — we've got a short guest spot recorded during a Martin Carthy / Dave Swarbrick show and then a radio session + interview with broadcaster Jim Lloyd. Even though Briggs had more or less dropped out of performing for nearly two decades at this point, she sounds as good as ever, that wild voice effortlessly capturing a timeless mood. The version of "Wilie O' Winsbury" here will stop you in your tracks ...

NIC NIC NIC TELL ME ABOUT YOUR DRAGON!!!
OKAY OKAY SO
She’s a changewing and I named her Seasons because she can change her appearance (aka camouflage) like season do but I call her Cece. This is a changewing!!!
Tumblr media
She’s either a darling or a little shit, no in between.
She likes to curl up in bed with me at night and she loves going fishing with me (even though she usually eats most of them). Cece’s favorite games are hide and seek, and we play fetch sometimes by me shooting an arrow and her rushing to catch it. She’s naturally very curious so she typically follows me through Berk to see what I’m doing. Because Hookfang likes me and is typically well behaved with me, this makes Cece jealous so she usually gets extra belly scratches before bed to make up for me giving him attention.
When Cece starts to notice I have feelings for Snotlout she becomes the littlest shit ever. She would drop me during flights to make sure he catches me, or she’d use her tail to push me into him. Once she even stole his helmet and give it to me before flying away leaving me to have to give it back to him. She also just likes to be mischievous so she’s developed a nasty habit of stealing things when she’s camouflaged (helmets, shoes, weapons, etc.) so I usually have to give that stuff back to the owners. But she most frequently steals from Snotlout to get us to talk to each other alone.
Her favorite snack is honeycomb so whenever we’ve finished a game of dragon racing or we’re celebrating something (like her birthday) I’ll give her some honeycombs. As a treat! She’s also very protective of me which is a reason she prefers to sleep next to me rather than in the stables. This also gets her into trouble when interacting with other changewing because wild ones aren’t the friendliest. But she’s the best dragon I could’ve asked for and I wouldn’t trade her for anything
Bonus image of what Cece basically did to Snotlout daily when I first got her:
