All Vestiges are off-putting to Anakin.

He can't explain why, he just senses it on an almost instinctive level, to the point where it drives him absolutely crazy that the other Jedi seem unaware of this bizarre sense of Wrongness™ that only he seems to detect in these Very Unusual Beans.

Coh being a Vestige naturally makes Anakin wary of him. Coh being Cody's Vestige adds a new level of discomfort.

Both because the 501st works with the 212th enough that Anakin can't avoid encounters with the little menace, and also because Cody considers Anakin a bit of a nuicense. That is to say, Coh has noted Cody's disdain for Anakin and his unorthodox (and often very stupidly risky) tactics, and taken it as permission to mess with him for shit's and giggles.

Add to that the fact Coh is much more aware than most Vestiges, and especially good at changing his shape in distressing ways, and suddenly you have a very tiny but determined Eldritch Horror hunting the Hero with One Fear in what almost seems like an endless game of cat and mouse.

To Summarize: Coh is an Unknowable Horror™ that only Anakin seems to fully perceive, and what he's seeing is both confusing and scaring him.

Thinking about the selective memory play post I reblogged earlier today.

Whenever I am with @daja-the-hypnokitten for an event we do a bunch of fun amnesia shenanigans. The "I have a trigger I can't remember!" thing from the second chapter of Belladonna/Madison is inspired by real play that we've done.

Madison laughed to herself and mused the cute girl’s red hair. “I know, precious, I know. Do you remember what I put in your head?” Bella sat up and gave a thoughtful look, “Hmm… You gave me an amnesia trigger…” Madison nodded, “Mhmm… that’s right. Go on…?” “And every time I remember that I have an amnesia trigger I am supposed to say that I have an amnesia trigger and forget that I have an amnesia trigger!” she proudly proclaimed, before blinking back in confusion and looking around. “Wait, what?” Madison couldn’t help but burst out in a fit of laughter, “Oh precious.” “Whaaaaat?!” Bella cried out in a huff of frustration, “What’s funny?” Madison quelled another burst of laughter, “You’ll remember later, s– precious, I promise.” Madison held the other woman close against her and planted a kiss on the top of her head, “Gosh I am so smitten.”

Part of the safety we have in this kind of play is to do our best to make sure everything is remembered. Given our disorder and all our memory is pretty crappy and it's important that we keep our journal updated with an accurate and chronological account of everything that happened. We tend to update the journal multiple times a day even while on vacation. Especially, while on vacation, even.

That way we remember the time we spent even if part of that remembering is remembering when we forget and forgetting to remember when we need to forget to remember.

So typically Daja will have me able to remember things shrouded in amnesia triggers while writing the journal and forget again the moment we stop writing. That way I can be a good girl and not think about the things that Miss has asked me not to think about until I'm allowed to think about them <3

I wonder though. if she's able to make me remember things while writing. Can she make me forget things while writing too?

In a realistic sense that means "and after mentioning the scene we just finished I want you to write 'Miss told me to write that I am a good girl and that I am loved and it's important to write that in my journal so every time I read it I can see that I am loved and by writing this I am obeying and being a good girl and it's okay to forget that I wrote this until I reread it after the vacation'

Buuuuut

In a fantasy 'this is unethical and don't actually do it but it's fun to talk about' kind of waaaaaaay?

Wouldn't it be fun to write about things that didn't happen. Like while writing a real account of the weekend that will eventually replace actual recollection as the Truth of what happened during that weekend? A form of rewriting reality but doing so by abusing the unreliability of memory?

Like again? That's super edge play and would need heavy negotiation and stuff--

But it's a fun idea, right?

Maybe like a suggestion to write the real journal and then write a fake journal which tells a fantastic and hyperbolic version of reality? Hmm--

Sometimes I like looking at my ao3 stats page just to see the word counts of all my fics. Sometimes I forget that I wrote all of it. It feels like a different person did all that. Who am I now? Certainly not the person who wrote 70k words in 3 weeks. They're me, but not.

i’m also just baffled people are simultaneously saying like “oh no i was so invested/i didn’t even have time to get invested!” like ?? which is it? the show has always revolved around osha and mae we really on had jecki and yord for like ??? two-ish episodes? bc there was a whole flashback they weren’t even in at all. the show has truly focused on mae and osha how dare the show be about the main characters i guess

It has been a short while since the Doctor purchased their house and settled into their new home on Earth with their family never too far away. However, they can never hold still for too long, the call of excitement forever drawing them back into their TARDIS. With this in mind, they approach Donna one day, looking like they're about to ask her the hugest favor in the world.

"Donna?" They say her name first, their voice suspiciously already pleading her to say yes. "So, there's this... thing, that I want to go to," they start, tapping the pads of their fingertips together over and over again as they think of how exactly to word this.

"Well, you see, there's this concert going on, and I'd like to bring you with me to it. But there's one problem," the Doctor smiles sheepishly at her, their eyes crinkling at the corners, "It's a few billion lightyears away on a moon called Kaldraxis. Lovely place, really! Not dangerous at all- at least, not for years and years after this concert." One long led bends at the knee so they can tap the toe of their converse on the ground behind them. "There's meant to be animated fireworks and a whole light show happening."

forgive me for my one-track mind but i do believe the main characters are a package deal, a pair, a duo, and the show hinges on them so i have mixed feelings about the last season. i liked that it didn't take centuries to make, to be more precise i don't care about the long wait i care about the erratic workflow that had been causing problems and seems to no longer be part of the process, and i like that quality was consistent and they're not shying away from serialization (that they set up and which was unavoidable anyway). what i don't like is that morty was almost relegated to a side character role i would guess that's partly because if they explored his perspective a whole bunch of crap would have to also be explored and shown in a different light, this is by no means the only way to interpret the show but maybe treating morty more like a serious character with a complex inner life would have to mean rick's vilification to an extent and that would be risky
