#also obsessed with how high his voice goes on ‘oh you didn’t know?’ after casually mentioning that Kentaro asked Kyoko#to be his parent stand-in for field day. and the way he pauses and looks back at Mr. Ichinose afterward#like it can be very easily read as ‘Yotsuya deliberately left the house to tell him this’#(hence ‘sort of’ when asked if he was leaving for work) but either way very carefully watching Mr I’s reaction without deliberately engaging#like I very strongly headcanon him as being neurodivergent in some way and not understanding or just not enjoying social norms#so like he IS most of the time deliberately messing with people for his own enjoyment#but it feels like times like this he’s sincerely trying to look out for or connect with someone but just isn’t going about it in#a straightforward or neurotypical way. whether that’s by choice or from lack of understanding#maison ikkoku#ma maison#rambling#headcanon
