Curufin/Finrod + 21 - on a place of insecurity pls?
21 - on a place of insecurity. prompt list here
“Easy on the firewood, Ingo, do you want to turn your bedchamber into a forge?” groaned Curufin. He stretched, loose-limbed and warmed with pleasure after yet another of their nightly political debates. The furs, which had provided a symphony of sensation during Finrod’s well-put counterargument, were now sticking unpleasantly to his naked skin.
“I’m not,” replied Finrod, “freezing in my own damned bed.” He prodded at the fireplace with a poker until the flames danced merrily sparking with copper-red bursts.
Curufin opened his mouth but found he couldn’t jab at him. He watched through half-lidded eyes as Finrod draped himself with a robe. A thick, velvet robe, his mind supplied, long-sleeved and brushing against the floor.
Far away, outside the stonewall shields of the city, snowstorms were plundering the open fields, covering the frozen earth in white.
Finrod shivered.
“Come here,” said Curufin without thinking. He scooted over, arms opening wide, and Finrod slipped in. He gathered Finrod close and barely suppressed a yelp when Finrod’s icy fingers dug into his rear.
“Warm me up?” Finrod’s usual nonsense made him roll his eyes. He had a mind to question Finrod’s generous collection of seasonal loungewear, or point out the several blankets that had been rucked to the side sometime midway through Curufin’s concluding point. However the hour was late, and liquid-lazy contentment was streaming in his veins. He chose the cleverer option and let Finrod think he was touched by the poor attempt at pillow-talk.
“Don’t laugh,” Finrod whined. Curufin felt Finrod pouting against his cheek, and hid a smile. His hair was tickling him, that was all. “I really am cold.”
“What don’t I do for you,” said Curufin, and kissed Finrod on the tip of his freezing nose.

im going to kiss you on the mouth for giving me such a fun prompt !!!!!!
GUN FOR HIRE : DANIEL GRAY
BLURB:
SPY
DANIEL GRAY
"The Ex-Cultist"
IF UNAVAILABLE ; Help Daniel at the ELKJAW LODGE in WHITETAIL MOUNTAINS to unlock them as a Gun For Hire.
ABILITIES:
THE FLOCK ; Tags all nearby cultist enemies, and won't be attacked on sight by them.
FRIENDLY FIRE ; Takes less damage from cultist enemies, and does more damage to them.
WEAPONS:
AR-C and Colt M1911 with the stock Eden's Gate skins.
MAP RADIO DIALOGUE:
" Hello? Uh, this is, um, Danny, a-at the Elk Jaw Lodge! Uhh... This is a real complicated situation, and, uh, I could really use some help! Like, now? Or soon. Take your time! I'll, uh, explain what's goin' on when you get here! "
MISSION:
After the Deputy liberates the Elk Jaw Lodge outpost, they can approach an unnamed Whitetail Militia NPC inside the lodge and initiate dialogue with them.
NPC dialogue: "Well, shit! If it isn't the man/woman of the hour! Good job getting this place back, seriously. We got a little problem, though; we found some peggie fuck hiding out in here, but he swears up and down he's got some important intel and wants to ditch the cult. Seems kinda fishy to me, but Eli told me not to kill him. Yet. He's locked up in the back room; you can go talk to him, if you want."
After this, the Deputy will gain the mission 'Lock The Gates'. Its description is, "A cultist being held at the Elk Jaw Lodge is claiming to have some important information for the Resistance." The current objective will be 'Speak to the cultist'.
Upon entering the back room that Danny's being held in, the Deputy will find Danny with his hands tied behind his back and alone, and can enter dialogue with him, starting the mission.
Initial dialogue: "Oh, Christ, it's you! Listen, it's- it's not what it looks like! I swear to the Lord, I'm tryin' to help! Cross my heart! Just... hear me out? Some folks that were in here got kidnapped by, uh, well... by some people I know. But- But I know where they are, honest! If you come with me, I'll show you! Those people are gonna get... killed or worse if we don't do somethin'! Just — follow me, please?"
The deputy will then be prompted to undo Danny's bindings, and he'll lead them outside to an Eden's Gate truck. They'll drive the Deputy to the nearby Breakthrough Camp location, and during the short drive, they'll engage in some dialogue further explaining the situation.
Drive dialogue: "I'm really not with them. Honest! Well, I was, but... I'm not anymore! I left. Y'know, I-I just didn't expect 'em to start killin' so many folks! I didn't wanna do all that. I mean, I know The Father says he talks to God and all that, but you don't think God would want us to do this stuff, right? Besides, even if he did, uh, I dunno if I'd wanna do it then either. I don't wanna hurt nobody, y'know? 'Specially if they didn't do nothin' wrong. I mean, these folks were just minding their business! I don't want 'em to get killed. I swear, I don't. You'll see!"
Once the two of them arrive, Danny will assist the Deputy with killing the six cultists and two judges guarding the camp so they can rescue the four Resistance members being held captive. If 2/4 of the Resistance members are killed, the mission is failed and restarted. Once all the enemies are killed and the Resistance members are saved,  the Deputy can enter dialogue with Danny again.
End mission dialogue: "See?! See, I told you! I-I ain't like them at all! Oh, uh, good job, by the way. Um, listen, if you ever need any help, just gimme a call! I'll come a-runnin'! Haha... Uh, I'll just, uh, I'll be around if ya' need me. Or somethin'. Yeah."
The Deputy will gain 600 Resistance Points and have Danny available as a GFH after this.

J19Z7 propositioning F!reader for sex? i.e. Rick in a forward attitude he doesn’t usually adopt? NSFW please, thank you :)
I hope this is the sort of thing you were after! :) It’s been a while since I’ve filled a request. So yes, he propositions the reader… with a little encouragement! This one is NSFW and 3.5k words, enjoy!
-
I’d been watching Rick from a distance all evening. Usually I would’ve gone over to him by now, pulling on my usual charm in the hopes he’d pick up a damn signal for a change. But tonight, he was surrounded by friends. Well, I thought they were his friends; but the longer I watched the less I thought that. He looked incredibly uncomfortable, wincing at the words of the other Ricks around him. Occasionally he’d glance over at me, sometimes he’d look offended, sometimes he’d look angry, and sometimes he’d simply look sad.
I watched one Rick nudge another, say something out of the side of his mouth. They erupted into laughter so loud I could hear it from where I was sitting. The Rick I knew’s brow snapped down in anger and he pushed himself up from the table. He said something, but I couldn’t make it out, then he was marching away. Marching towards me.
I stared as he slumped down into the chair opposite me, my eyes wide and my eyebrows raised. He was breathing heavily and his face was a little red. He wasn’t looking at me yet, but I felt the need to say something.
“Howdy.” I said. “Is uhh, is everything cool?” I questioned, holding my drink in my hand. I’d been about to take a sip before he stormed over. Rick shook his head, sighing loudly.
“N-no! Th-those guys, those-” he stopped himself and shook his head. “I’m sorry, (y/n), I don’t mean to be so snappy with you. I-I-I didn’t even ask if it was okay to sit here. I’m so rude.”
“You’re fine, sweetie. Keep your ass on that seat.” I assured him as he started to stand. He sat back down at my command.
“I’m just- I-I-I’m so angry!”
“What did those guys say to you?” I frowned, I’d never seen him so affected before, and I was concerned.
“It doesn’t matter.” He shook his head. I didn’t push him. “Ca-can I ask you something?” He looked me in the eye and I saw him gulp.
“Of course.” I nodded.
“Do you remember when we- we-” He looked down, his eyes flickering around the table as he searched for his words. “A few weeks ago, you kissed me.” He finally finished.
“I remember.” I told him confidently, even though my heart was suddenly hammering.
“Why did you do that?” He asked. When he looked back at me, his face betrayed sadness, nervousness, a barrage of unpleasant emotions. It was like I’d hurt him with that kiss, and I felt sick.
“I’m sorry. I thought you- maybe I was wrong. Why do you think I did it?” I queried, my expression turning sad.
“I don’t know. B-because you thought it might be funny? I-I-I know I’m not the nicest looking Rick that comes to this bar. Or the most interesting. You must know a lot of the others treat me like I’m s-some sort of idiot.” His words were sharper than I was used to hearing. He was clearly frustrated and unhappy.
“So you think I did it as a joke?” I frowned, honestly a little annoyed that he’d think that of me.
“I… I don’t know.” He sighed, defeated, cradling his head in his hands.
“It wasn’t a joke. I kissed you because I like you.” I shrugged, busying myself by finally drinking from my raised glass. “I thought I’d moved too quickly, that you backed away because you weren’t ready for that. I didn’t realise you were questioning my motives; I wish you’d said something sooner.”
“I wasn’t questioning you, s-so much as I was questioning myself. I don’t know why you’d want anything to do with me, es-especially in that way.”
“Confidence.” I sighed.
“Hmm?” He looked up at me with wide, confused eyes.
“That’s what you need. You need to have more confidence in yourself.”
“How do I go about g-gaining that?” He asked me hopefully, his eyes darting back and forth between my own. I paused for a while, considering my words carefully since he was hanging off every one, it seemed.
“Hmm. Do something that scares you. Not something reckless, that’ll get you killed!” I clarified. “But something that you want to do, but daren’t. Just try it, once. You might be surprised at how liberating it is. And the more you do it the more confidence you’ll gain.” I added, hoping my advice was somewhat helpful.
Rick frowned for a while, considering my words silently. He was looking around at nothing in particular, and I wondered if I’d said something silly and useless. Was that even good advice? I hadn’t a clue. I was by no means an expert on these kinds of things. I was doing all I could, and in all honesty I just wanted to shift his focus from that damn kiss since I was getting the impression he wasn’t all that thrilled about it.
“Will you c-come home with me, tonight?” He suddenly asked. He said it with such conviction it surprised me. I narrowed my eyes in consideration, not exactly knowing what to make of it.
“What like a… sleepover?” I questioned. His cheeks went pink, and suddenly he deflated a little, avoiding eye contact.
“Well… I su-suppose you could look at it that way. If that’s what you’d be comfortable with. In actual fact I was th-thinking perhaps something… something a little more…” He was going redder and redder to the point I was getting worried. “I was wondering if you’d like to, p-p-possibly – and you don’t need to say yes! – maybe… ha-have…”
“Sex?” I finished for him, my heart thoroughly pounding in my chest at this point. He didn’t answer verbally; with his eyes firmly planted on the table he gave his head a jerky nod. I was stunned. I sat staring at him for a long time with my mouth hanging open.
“No. N-n-no, you’re right. H-how terrible of me to even think of asking such a disrespectful, disgusting thing, I-I-I-I-”
I reached across the table, touching his hand to shut him up.
“Yes.”
“Huh?” He panted, looking at me in a flash.
“Yes. Let’s go.” I grinned, finishing my drink and squeezing his hand. He stared at me in awe as I rose to my feet, tugging him to urge him to do the same.
“Are you j-joking?” He gasped.
“Do you see me laughing?” I tilted my head at him.
“Oh fu- oh gosh. Oh. O-okay. L-l-let me just-” He stammered, ripping his hand out of my grasp so he could fumble in his lab coat for his portal gun. I smiled at his reaction, and he eventually opened up a portal. He waved me through with an extremely shaky hand, and followed me through to what I soon realised was his home. We were in his living room in the blink of an eye, surrounded by eclectic artwork, antique furniture, and knick-knacks of all shapes, sizes and origin. I took a moment to familiarise myself with my new surroundings, then turned to him.
He was stood staring at me, looking all nervous and fidgety. When I made eye contact with him he opened his mouth, but he didn’t say anything. I chewed on my lip for a while, realising very quickly that I’d be the one making the moves tonight; regardless of this being his proposition in the first place.
“Just allow me to get one thing clear.” I started, noting another jerky nod of his head. “You want to do this, right? It’s okay to be nervous, I just don’t want to initiate this if you only said it as a spur of the moment thing and don’t actually want to sleep with me.”
His foot twitched, like he was going to take a step towards me, but didn’t.
“I wa-want to. I think about you a-a lot and I-I-I have thought about this, too. I want to.” He explained, finally taking that step closer, and another, and another until he reached me.
I made the first move, of course, touching his chin and bringing him in for a kiss. He didn’t flinch away like he did those few weeks ago, he reciprocated. The way he kissed was different than I expected, he was a lot slower, more skilled with his tongue; not that I expected him to be a bad kisser! Just, not as good as this. He had me parting my lips for him with a gentle sweep of his tongue along my bottom lip. He tilted his head and his hands gingerly rested on my hips; I encouraged his touch by pressing my body forwards against his and wrapping my arms around him. He made a little noise, his body noticeably relaxing as he grew more comfortable with the kiss.
My hands automatically slid down his spine, coming to rest on his backside; prompting another noise. He was letting out these half restrained little moans, just the first note and he’d cut it short. Without thinking about it I slowly brought one of my hands around his body, sneaking it between us; I gave him enough time to stop me if he didn’t want it. He let me put my hand between his legs, cupping the bulge there and rubbing as I felt him grow under my palm.
He broke the kiss then, stopping to look at me with hazy eyes and a curve to his brow that signalled both pleasure and concern. I smiled at him, hoping it’d alleviate some of his worry, then moved my fingertips to where I could feel the head of his erection, now straining against his pants. I stroked there specifically and his resulting groan was immediate and loud; his hips jolting forwards into my touch as well. I gasped softly, his reaction sending a spark of pleasure right to my core and spurring me on.
“Where do you want me?” I asked him. His eyes widened and he looked around awkwardly.
“Oh, jus-just regular, in- inside your…” he trailed off. I caught his meaning and tried my very best not to laugh at the miscommunication.
“Mind out the gutter, sweetie. Your bedroom? Or here?” I grinned at him. My attempt at light-heartedness didn’t translate, because he was clearly mortified.
“Oh no! H-how embarrassing, I didn’t mean to- oh gosh, I’m sorry! I was-wasn’t thinking straight!”
“I know what you were thinking about. You don’t have to explain.” I assured him, going onto my tip-toes briefly to kiss his jaw. He frowned at himself, red in the face from more than just arousal.
“B-bedroom. If- if that’s okay.” He answered meekly.
“Lead the way, handsome.”
-
We were kissing on his bed; I’d undone his pants and I now had my hand on him, skin to skin. I was straddling one of his legs, subtly rubbing up against it since he was yet to touch me. His hands were balled into fists by his head, resting on the bed, it was as if he were chained there. I didn’t think he was doing it to be selfish; I thought he probably didn’t know what to do. I sat up letting go of him so I could lift my dress up and over my head; he gasped as my body was revealed to him, covered only by my bra and panties.
“Woah. L-look at you.” He whispered. I licked my lips and pulled on the bottom of his shirt, untucking it completely from his already open pants, and lifting it. He helped me remove it, and shivered when I ran my hand down his chest over his nipple. I hummed appreciatively, then pushed myself backwards, sliding off of the bed and pulling on his pants.
He seemed hesitant at first, making a sound of protest, but he seemed to remember what we were doing and lifted his hips for me. His boxers came down with them, leaving him totally naked. It was the first time I’d gotten a good look at what he was packing; he’d felt big in my hand and seeing it confirmed this. He was the biggest I’d had, and there was a moment of nervousness at the possibility of it hurting.
I shook the thought away, looking up from his cock to his eyes. I held onto his ankles and pulled him closer to the edge of the bed and he took the hint; scooting to sit on the edge. Suddenly, my tits were at eye level for him.
“Why don’t you take my panties off, baby?” I purred, coming forward to stand between his legs. He glanced down at the final article of clothing, though it seemed to take effort to tear his eyes away from my chest. When his hands met the waistband of my underwear, I said; “With your teeth.”
“Huh?” He balked, his eyes flashing up to my face and practically shooting out of his skull.
“I’m kidding.” I teased. I had a habit of making stupid jokes in the bedroom; maybe it was my nerves manifesting. Luckily, my jokes only seemed to help calm him, and he chuckled in relief.
“Ohh, y-y-you had me there.” He breathed, shaking his head. I ran my fingers through his hair, brushing his bangs back out of his face, noting how handsome he looked like that. He hooked his fingers in the waistband of my underwear and he slowly pulled them down. The seat of my panties stuck to me from my wetness, and when they pulled away I shuddered at the subtle stimulation it gave me. “Gosh, y-your underwear is a little-” he cut himself off, looking up at me apologetically.
“Wet?” I questioned, and after a moment he nodded. “I know. It’s cause you’ve turned me on. A lot. Touch me.” I whispered, letting my underwear drop to the floor as I took his hand and guided it between my legs. He watched with a slack jaw as his hand met my slit, and I took my index and middle finger and used them to press his own two fingers to my clit. I guided them back and forth through my wetness, and he let loose a quiet, throaty moan at this. I used his fingers to roll my clit in circles, sighing at the sensations, pleased that he continued when I let go of his hand, watching me with lidded eyes and a blush on his face.
I crawled back on top of him and we edged back on the bed, so I was back to straddling his thighs. As he touched me I reached for him, stroking his cock in time with the way he was rubbing me. Leaning over him, our lips inches apart, we shared breathy moans with each other, quiet and private. In a daring move he slid his fingers backwards, slipping his middle digit inside me. I gasped and rocked my hips forward, forcing him deeper. He started panting, eyes darting down to my pussy to watch as he thrust in and out of me. My palm was growing sticky with precum, even more so at the insertion of a second finger.
“Oh gosh you f-feel so- I can’t wait to-” He stammered, eyes flashing back up to mine.
I made my mind up there and then. Taking his wrist in my hand I removed him from me, then scooted forwards on my knees so I was above his cock. I held eye contact with him as I lowered down, sliding down his generous length slowly, feeling that hot ache as he stretched me further than I ever had been, sighing in pleasure as I did. Rick hunched in the chest a little, choking on a gasp, his fingers scrunching in the bed sheets.
“Ohh ohh! Th-that’s am-amazing. P-please, keep- stay there.” He whined once my butt met his lap and he was fully seated inside me. I could feel him nudging my cervix, he’d filled me up so completely and perfectly I could do nothing but sit there and enjoy the sensation, the sense of wholeness. “S-so hot an-and tight!” He added, opening his eyes to look at me.
“You like that?” I asked, pulsing my muscles around him. Every squeeze ached so deliciously.
“Yes!” He cried, sitting up on his elbows. His chest rose and fell quickly and I smoothed my hands over his chest, up and down in a bid to calm him. At this, he tentatively moved his hands to my thighs, holding onto me there instead of the bedsheets.
“You want me to move?” I queried, licking my lips and resisting to move anyway before he had the chance to answer. Rick took a breath then nodded briskly.
“Y-yeah. Please.” He breathed. As soon as I did he was moaning loudly, rolling his head back and staring at the ceiling. I rode him with a decent pace, not too fast but I hardly took things slowly either; it was irresistible. The thick head of his cock stroked so perfectly against my sweet spot and his pubic bone nudged my clit with every down stroke. It felt incredible. Unbelievably satisfying.
I leaned forward, resting on his chest for support as I bounced my ass behind me on his cock. It didn’t take me long to work up a rhythm and soon Rick was thrusting too, meeting my hips in perfect timing as if all his nerves and hesitation flew out the window. He was doing whatever felt good, and there was something so pleasing about that; so I egged him on.
“Ohh god. That’s it. Pound me like that, Rick.” I cried, looking down at him to see he’d grown incredibly enthralled by my breasts as they bounced with my movements. He grunted, sliding his hands up to my waist, wrapping those long arms around me and helping guide me back and forth. Where’d that timid guy disappear to? I laughed through my pleasure, loving every minute of it.
He was so much different to how I expected him to be, now that he’d gotten into it. I leaned down to kiss him, slowing my pace down for just a moment as I allowed my tongue to roam is mouth, meeting his own and playing for a while before withdrawing, but staying near.
“I’ve been thinking about this for weeks.” I admitted to him freely.
“M-me too.” He instantly replied. I was surprised, flattered and deeply aroused all at the same time. “I tried not to b-but it just kept coming into m-m-my head. Ahh!” He hissed, thrusting roughly up into me like he couldn’t control it.
“Shit.” I sighed, shifting so I could get more leverage, letting him have it. Seeing the way he writhed and panted below me, moaning and sighing and scrunching his eyes up, his fingertips pressing hard into my sides. Oh god. It was an absolute treat, so much better than any of my fantasies. I just wanted to see him come apart, to lose all control to the pleasure and fill me up. I just wanted to push him over the edge, and fast.
Rick suddenly yelled my name, going rigid. “I’m s-so close! I’m gon-gonna- oh God!”
“Cum. Do it for me baby, I want you to cum.” I purred, clenching my pussy around him as I slammed my hips down over and over.
“Ohh fuck, oh yes!” He gasped, his spine arching and his head pressing back into the mattress, messing up his hair. He froze for a second then howled in release and I could feel his thick cock throbbing inside me, spurting deep and filling me just how I’d wanted. I practically growled with the intense satisfaction I felt, finally hearing the sounds he made and seeing the faces he pulled; everything. I hadn’t realised until then just how much I’d really wanted it.
I slowed down gradually, bringing him down bit by bit as all of his muscles unclenched and he relaxed back onto the bed. His breathing was loud and laboured when I eventually stopped completely. He opened his eyes to look at me, going still.
“That was in-intense. I’m s-sorry, I didn’t give you much warning!” He prattled straight away and I rolled my eyes at him, bending over to kiss him. He let me, keeping quiet while I did, but as soon as I broke away he spoke again. “Did you have an… an orgasm?” He asked shyly.
“All the orgasms in the world can’t compare to what I just witnessed.” I grinned at him.
“You didn’t. Oh gosh, I’m sorry. Let me- can I do s-something else?” He said in a panic, sitting up on his elbows again only to be pushed back down by me.
“No, baby. I’m more than satisfied.” I told him truthfully, then slowly eased up off of him. I groaned as his cock slipped out of me, feeling so hot and wet, followed by his ejaculate. “But you can help me shower.” I suggested cheekily.
“Y-yes. Absolutely!” He nodded eagerly.
Before we went, I made sure to shower him in more kisses, enjoying every moment while I could. After all, I had no idea if I’d be lucky enough for this to happen ever again. Though I sure hoped I would be.

A Year in Review for ship-ambrosia - Fanfiction Writers 2018
So I saw a blog I’m a huge fan of do this sort of year reflection of fanfiction writing, and since this was the first year I’ve ever posted my fanfictions, I thought it’d be fun to do!
First off I wanna thank @sweetmemories2606 @allie-and-her-fandoms and @a-fairy-tail44 for constantly encouraging me, being there to bounce ideas off of, also basically being beta readers for me and my hype men... you guys rock. I’m so glad I met all of you.
total number of completed stories
- “Completed” is kind of relative isn’t it? Lol... I have 13 stories posted on AO3, 4 that are on tumblr only, and of those 17 three of them, Heavens Bringer, A Fool Like Him, and Inherit Thunder (previously Heir of Electricity) are unfinished. Three of them are a collection of one-shots from Gruvia, Jerza, and Nalu week, but they’re all so short I’m going to count them as all together.
- There is so much unposted stuff in my backlog that you wouldn’t even believe lol most of it is unfinished though
total word count
- 81000 on AO3. I don’t even want to go and count otherwise
fandoms written in
- Fairy Tail
- My Hero Academia
- RWBY
- Persona 5
- Voltron (behind the scenes)
- Fire Emblem (behind the scenes)
looking back, did you expect to write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d expected?
- Let me just say that posting the first two fanfictions, Inherit Thunder (BNHA, kamijirou) and Liberation (RWBY, Blacksun), were totally on a whim. My roommate encouraged me to do it and see what kind of feedback I got on them. Boy am I glad I did. So let me tell you my motivation and progress has been absolutely astounding to me.
what’s your own favorite story of the year?
- This is so hard, because I’ve been in love with all the stories as I posted each of them, like oh yeah this is it this is my best one. Every time lol. I’d have to say though it’s probably The Droplet (FT, Gruvia). Reading my first gruvia fanfiction Four Degrees, and then going to The Droplet, you can really see not only how well my writing has improved, but also how much better I’ve done in understanding Gray and Juvia. Also I happen to find the beginning of it still really sexy lol that was difficult for me, writing a scene that was sexy that was going to be posted for the world to see.
did you take any writing risks this year?
- I think the style that I wrote A Sound Like Thunder (BNHA, iidamei) and Beauty and the Crow (P5, Akeharu) was a different style than um used to, with the story being told in chunks that didn’t quite fit together perfectly but still built off one another. Basically they could have been multi chapter fics but I wrote them like a short story and both of those stories I had to have read over a thousand times because I wanted them to be perfect.
do you have any fanfic or profit goals for the new year?
- One, to finish Heavens Bringer which I think is very plausible since I’ve been working on the last chapter a lot lately. Another is just to get more consistent with finishing and posting works, because right now it’s just like, here from me every so often and going like a month or two without posting any sort of writing. Maybe even to write less ship-focused works. I love ships but I don’t think all my writing has to be only romantic
best story of the year?
- Certainly one of my Fairy Tail fanfictions, though I’m not sure which. Heavens Bringer definitely has the most effort put in, but both The Droplet and A Fool Like Him (Ft, stingyu) have such in-depth, emotional breakdowns of Gray and Sting respectively and how I see them viewing their primary love interest that I think both of those stories have a fascinating draw. Also, I’m extremely proud of my Nalu Angst week prompts, I go back and re read them all the time. I think some of my best work resides in that collection, most notably the story titled “Miles Apart, Two Inches Away” from when Natsu and Lucy reunite after the post-Tartaros timeskip.
most popular story of the year?
- That’s easily Everything was the Same (Except when it wasn’t), my first Nalu story. On AO3 it has 755 Hits and 72 kudos, the most for both of all my stories. Which I find so funny because I wrote that story in under an hour lol.
story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:
- Heavens Bringer, by far. I like to think it’s amazing, and my friends seem to love it, but it’s gotten very little recognition. I’d love for more people to read it, and it has all the big four ships and I’ve devoted soo much time to it. But the feedback I HAVE gotten has been absolutely wonderful!
most fun story to write:
Beauty and the Crow, A Sound Like Thunder, or Nalu Angst Week. I hurt so much while writing all three, but I loved it. Beauty and the Crow because Akechi and Haru’s relationship would be just as tragic as I’ve written it, A Sound Like Thunder because iidamei is normally such a goofy ship and I literally almost killed Iida and made Mei Hatsume cry, and Nalu Angst Week because well... painful feels. But I enjoyed the dark places that my writing went.
story with the single sexiest moment:
Haven’t written (read: published) a ton of sexy scenes. I think The Droplet wins for the part where Gray almost pulls off Juvia’s underwear with his teeth, only to be interrupted by their baby.
most sweet story:
- Nuclear Fusion. No angst, it’s straight up injecting Nalu parenting fluff into your bloodstream lol
“holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you!” story:
- Nothing yet?? Maybe hurting Iida and Mei in A Sound Like Thunder. I need to write a goofy fic with the two of them, honestly.
story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:
- I’m going to say Inherit Thunder. I used to think of Kaminari as just a total goofball. Coming up with the idea of his parents as villains gave so many deep possibilities to why Kaminari wants to be the “trendy” popular boy or where he could come from, what his motivation for being a hero could be. I could be totally right, or totally off. But it definitely made me so much more intrigued by what Horikoshi could have planned for him.
most unintentionally telling story:
- When you read Heavens Bringer you see exactly what kind of Fairy Tail fan I am. Lol
hardest story to write:
- Heavens Bringer! Lol. Also worked on Beauty and the Crow for a long time, because I couldn’t decide what direction I exactly wanted to take Haru and Akechi - did I want to follow the plot? Did I want to make Haru and Akechi fall in love, or make it a series of moments? Did I want lots of dialogue, or did I want it to be more narrated? It was a lot of stylistic choices that went into that one but I’m totally happy with how it turned out!
biggest disappointment:
- I worked on a Baccana story for sooo long and then I ended up deleting it because it was turning into very cliche, Gildarts-doesn’t-approve-so-he-challenges-Bacchus-to-a-fight and I didn’t want to write a fic that had already been done 30 times (not that Gildarts and Bacchus fighting because Bacchus likes Cana isn’t great... it’s just that most people who like that ship have already written that).
biggest surprise:
- Uhh, Inherit Thunder being as popular as it was received? I’ve gotten dozens of messages asking for a sequel and it’s really an incredible feeling to know people want more of a story. It was originally gonna just be a one-shot, but now I’m writing a second chapter that will probably come out after Heavens Bringer is done.
some stuff in the works for the new year:
- Obviously, Heavens Bringer part 5 and chapter 2 of Inherit Thunder
- Working on several more chapters to A Fool Like Him, it’s basically just all suffering for Sting lol
- A multi chapter Baccana fic AU-ish in which Cana joins Quatro Cerberus during the Tartaros timeskip after Fairy Tail is disbanded
- Multi chapter Gruvia and Gale fic about Juvia disappearing after leaving to search for answers to her origin, leaving Gray and Gajeel desperate to find her
- Stingyu Cinderella/Princess and the Pauper AU
- A Yang x Ilia piece (FINALLY! LOL)
- May eventually clean up and post an experimental fic where I practiced writing combat with Sun and Neptune vs Mercury
- Ryuji x Ann getting together post-canon
- Future Ryuji x Ann single dad Ryuji AU
- Haru x Akechi Military/sort of Fullmetal Alchemist AU?? Idk it was inspired by fanart
- Maybe post some of my Voltron/Fire Emblem stuff eventually? Idk about those
If you read this entire post seriously thank you!! And thanks to everyone who’s read my fics, sent me messages about them, or just talked to me in general!! I love interacting with the communities!!

any tips for somebody trying out warframe for the first time since they were like uuuuhh. 17?
I’m gonna assume this means you haven’t checked out the game in a few years, which puts you in a boat similar to the one I was in when I redownloaded it in 2016, which is totally cool! The game has changed so much it may as well be a different game, and continues to do so every year. In some ways the new player experience is streamlined, but overall it’s still really overwhelming to get into.
First off, if you’re redownloading on the same platform with the same account you had previously, anything you did previously will still be there. For example, when I first played I started with Mag. When I tried the game again years later, I picked Volt for the tutorial quest that was added in the meantime, but once I got into the game proper, I still had Mag. And I’ve heard of accounts of people thinking they’d lose their Prime frames or platinum after reinstalling, only to still fin them there. So that’s a cool thing I’m sure still applies.
If you’re starting fresh, in regards to starter frames, I recommend Excalibur or Volt depending on whether or not you’ll be playing with others or solo. I say this because Mag and Excalibur can be acquired very early on (with Mag being one of the first three frames you can farm for once you have access to the solar map; she’s my favorite of the three, and the only reason I recommend not to choose her to start is because she’s incredibly simple to acquire regardless); for Volt, however, you’ll need to join a clan to have access to their dojo and their labs, which have blueprints for various things, including Volt. If you don’t want to commit to a clan but want the blueprints, many clans are open to inviting people with no commitment or requirements, so you can grab your blueprints and leave. I saw this a lot frequently with the tweaks made to Nezha, who can only be acquired via a clan dojo (also my favorite frame, highly recommend, Nezha’s the reason I’m into warframe). Lots of newer players asked to join clans just to get him, and clans were very receptive to this!
But uh, in short; if you don’t wanna talk to people, choose Volt. Otherwise, maybe go for Excal since the boss fight to acquire him can take longer/is more annoying than Mag’s, who is easy peasy. Although, you can start your own clan and build your own dojo/labs, but it’ll take a long while to get things set up so you can have access to those blueprints.
Speaking of blueprints, I feel they’re set up in a confusing way that can seem unfair. I don’t believe Warframe is a game that promotes microtransactions and works hard to make it optional, but the menu layout isn’t always clear on this. By this I mean, if you’re looking for new frames or weapons in the market, and it says you have to buy with platinum, the real world currency–you really don’t. There will be a button prompt that will either give you the price of the blueprint in credits, so you can gather material and craft the frame/weapon, or it will tell you where the blueprint is, which generally means it’s in a dojo lab, a quest, or you farm for it somewhere.
If you don’t know what to do, follow the Solar Map. It basically tells you where to go and what unlocks, be it planets, quests, or new game functions and such. If you’re interested in the open world areas, the REALLY COOL THING is that they’re available from the start! Plains of Eidolon is on Earth and deliberately has a new player friendly tutorial and a good half or more of the features. The upcoming Fortuna addition will be on Venus, which is also a planet that doesn’t take long to get to.
You’re going to get some starter platinum that you can’t trade, and I highly recommend you keep it for extra warframe and weapon slots. I find it ridiculous that they cost platinum, but at least it’s a very low amount that’s easy enough to trade for. You can earn platinum in-game via acquiring relics and opening them in void fissure missions. This is something I don’t think is explained unless you look for it in the in-game Codex; but the Warframe wiki will probably be your best source of info for just about everything. To be honest, the only things in the game that absolutely require platinum that can’t be farmed are cosmetics* and slots. Everything else can either be farmed, or just requires patience (building items in your foundry takes real time for example; it costs platinum to speed it up, but you don’t really need to spend it).
(*also exception to the cosmetics rule are alt helmets; tennogen, that is user made ones, and deluxe skins+helmets will always cost platinum, but the official ones can be acquired via alerts.)
If you happen to have an Amazon Prime and/or Twitch account, use them! Linking your Prime account to twitch gives you access to Twitch prime, and therefore various bundles Digital Extremes have been releasing which include free Prime frames and weapons. You can earn stuff even if you just have a Twitch account, as DE has been experimenting with Twitch drops, and if you tune into their weekly streams, you can win platinum and other prizes. I won platinum in my first few months of playing! The devs are also wonderful and in near constant communication with the playerbase and are, like, constantly just giving things away, it’s amazing.
Uhh lastly, I wanna say overall the community is good, but I suppose that would depend on where you interact. The region chat in game is full of trolls, and from what I’ve seen on reddit or the official forums, it’s mostly full of either whining or ~veterans~ talking about the meta which consists of a bunch of shit that’s really not relevant to newer or uninterested players. The fandom here on tumblr is full of a lot of creatives (myself included! though I haven’t done anything for Warframe yet) which is super cool, but if you care at all about the lore or story, you’ll want to blacklist spoilers and stuff liberally if you browse the tag, since PC gets updates before consoles, and in general the big story reveals are a few years old now. Personally if I need to look up something, I just go to the wiki.
That’s all I can think of! I apologize for the text dump, but as much as I love Warframe, many of the game features aren’t well-explained in the game and it’s hard not to over-explain. Thank you very much for asking me about this fantastic game and please feel free to ask me anything else! Or if anyone else has any starter advice to add on, that’s cool too! I LOVE WARFRAME A LOT AND I’M VERY EXCITED YOU’RE GIVING IT ANOTHER TRY BECAUSE IT’S A GREAT GAME!!!

tagged by @aizawashoutah, @shitabukenjirou, and @foxyena !! thank u guys so much~
1. How did you come up with your username and what does it mean?
hajime = haji, iwaizumi = iwa, haji + iwa = hajiiwa~ i love my mans but not many people understand my username
(the rest will go under the cut!)
2. Which fanfic of yours has the most feedback? (bookmarks/subscriptions/hits/kudos)
huh, well
FMK technically has the most hits and kudos (something i am a little disgruntled about, seeing as it was not a fic i worked very hard on), only fools has the most comments, kaminari is a schemer has the most bookmarks, and of fountains and flowers has the most subscriptions so idk what to tell you. i wish ofaf had more recognition bcos i’ve worked hard on it rip
3. What is your AO3 profile icon, and why did you choose it?
it’s kuroo!! and i just chose it bc i Love him and it was an icon i made that i sorta liked so
4. Do you have any regular/favourite commenters?
yes and i love them all!! seeing names that consistently pop up in my kudos/comments section really warms my heart <33 i’ve made good friends that way tbh
5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
uhh there are many that i like to go back and read, mainly by my fav authors that i’m subscribed to
6. How many stories are you subscribed to? How many do you have bookmarked?
bookmarked: 53 subscribed: honestly, i... don’t really subscribe to works? i’m subscribed to 8 authors tho
7. Which AU do you find yourself writing the most?
oooh, probably... medieval aus or domestic magic aus? and slice of life
8. How many people are subscribed and bookmarked to you in total? (you can view this on the stats page)
Subscriptions: 80 (rip, i didn’t know if u meant user subs or work subs so i combined and it’s still a tiny number) Bookmarked: 203
9. Is there something you’d like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
umm... i don’t think so?
10. Is there anything you would like to be better at? Writing certain scenes or genres, replying to comments, updating better, etc.
finishing current projects before taking on new ones, avoiding burnout, the usual
11. Do you write rarepairs or popular ships more often?
well i’ll go based on haikyuu since those works take up the majority-- iwaoi is set firmly in first place based on number of works followed by bokuroo, both of which are fairly popular so i’d say that i lean more toward the bigger ships but i also have works for kurooiwa, iwaaka, tengoshi, etc
12. How many stories have you posted on AO3 to this day (finished and unfinished)?
22! that number fluctuates a ton because i’m very impulsive and if a fic doesn’t receive the recognition i feel it deserves/i no longer like it/etc i take it down
13. How many stories do you have saved in/with your writing program?
that i have yet to publish? too many.
14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
i normally keep them in my head, unless i think they’ll turn into something bigger and then i’ll jot them down!
15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
not yeeet~ @frenchibi have plans to tho. i have tried to co-author in the past but it mever worked out
16. How did you discover AO3?
when i graduated from using wattpad,, fun fact, there is so much smut on there that i legitimately thought ao3 was just used to write porn. i was both horrified and confused
17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author in your fandom(s) on AO3?
lol
18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
no...? this question assumes that i would be Popular (honestly do fanfic writers even have “fandom names” for their readers?? im)
19. Was there an author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
not really, no. i stated writing fanfics when i was really young on my own, unprompted, and i’ve met other authors through that medium that have helped me?
20. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
interact with other writers! i know it seems daunting, but leave comments, go to spaces where you will find other writers, participate in events-- there are few feelings more satisfying than seeing familiar names pop up, either in your notifications or in a group you’re in. most of the time, they’re all very kind and you won’t regret letting them into your life!
21. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
i plot out almost always, though this sort of bites me in the ass. it bores me when i’m writing to already “know” what’s going to happen and that’s why i lose steam. it’s weird
22. Have you ever gotten a bad comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
sort of. i write a lot of angst and i’ve gotten quite a few “fuck you author” comments-- most of the time they’re paired with “for making me feel these feelings” or “for writing something so sad” or some shit but i don’t appreciate that bc, like, fuck you too? i’m sorry that you felt the need to cuss me out?? i tag pretty liberally and if you felt that you couldn’t handle the topic i was writing about then you shouldn’t have clicked
unless it’s, like-- a friend or regular going “fffuCK YOU AHHH” which HAS happened and makes me snicker lmao
23. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, smut, etc..)
huh. i’m trying to become more proficient in the Big Three (smut, angst, and fluff) and thus far i’ve got one of three down p good. but specific scenes i have trouble writing would have to be scenes in which i have zero experience and pretty much have to improvise-- it helps me grow as a writer, ig, but it’s just frustrating
24. What story(s) are you working on now?
the rest of the writers’ inktober prompts
a fic wars piece with @frenchibi
a post breakup iwaoi
of fountains and flowers final chapter
a handful of voltron fics, 4 of them sheith
alien!iwaizumi
maaaany half-abandoned drafts
25. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
YES AND IT IS TERRIBLE SOMEONE STOP ME
26. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
nah. motivation is fickle and i don’t want to make writing a chore. writer’s inktober was hard enough (it’s december and i am still not done :,)
27. Do you think you’ve improved as a writer since you first started?
considering i started on wattpad, yes lmao. i’d like to think that i have since i’ve been on ao3 but hahjajhjkh
28. What is your favorite story that you’ve written?
i reeeeally liked writing a bit of magic is key and three’s a crowd because they were both humorous domestic magic aus~ but i’ve liked most things i’ve written tbh. also, obviously, of fountains and flowers.
29. What is your least favorite story that you’ve written?
that i’ve posted? i honestly don’t know. maybe you can be so stupid sometimes because i was just starting to write iwaoi and i now hate the way i portrayed them, not to mention that this dumb little fic has more kudos than my recent stuff and i just *clenches fist* don’t think it deserves that
30. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
not sure. maybe i’ll have ofaf finished by then hahah,, but really i don’t know. writing is a tool but fanfic writing is just a hobby
31. What is the easiest thing about writing?
i’m pretty good at writing emotionally charged situations. also dialogue, i find banter or long back-and-forth conversations fairly easy
32. What is the hardest thing about writing?
transitions, justification of characters’ actions. the hardest thing writing-related would be fighting through envy and feelings of inadequacy but i experience the former plenty anyway rip
33. Why do you write?
i write because i enjoy it-- i love creating my own worlds, interacting with other writers, living vicariously through my characters
well, that was fun! i’ll tag @frenchibi, @astersandstuffs, @minyardxva, @josai

For @archival-hogwash‘s prompt: I could trouble you for a college/grad school AU for RogueJedi? I leave the specifics up to you, but it'd be great to see the before, during or after periods of one of those magically engaging conversations that seem to only happen in college, the ones that go from night to morning without either person realizing it... a meeting of the minds, if you will?
RogueJedi, general audiences Luke stumbles out of the house party and into the backyard, just needing a few moments to himself. The air is pleasantly cool and the sky is positively full of stars; Luke stares up at them and laughs to himself, spinning in a circle to watch them blur. "How drunk are you?" calls out an amused voice in the dark.
Luke catches himself and turns towards the voice with a smile. "Not that drunk, they're just really pretty. I like stars," he says, walking towards the far corner of the voice where he finds an even prettier sight smirking at him with a cigarette in one hand and a jelly glass half full of clear liquid in the other. "You don't like parties?" he asks.
The man shrugs, "I like parties just fine, but when my housemates found four different accordion players," he says with a theatrical shudder.
Luke laughs as the faint strains of what sounds like They Might Be Giants song cut through the din. "But that's the best part, we never had these kind of things back during undergrad."
The man holds up his arms expansively. "Welcome to Casa Roja," he says, then gestures for Luke to sit. "I'm Bodhi," he says.
Luke takes the lawn chair across from him. "Luke Skywalker, I met Cassian in my historiography seminar."
Bodhi takes a long drag on his cigarette, his lips pursing and Luke tries to remind himself that it was years of exposure to tobacco product placement in films trying to make him think it looked cool and sexy, not actually this guy looking entirely too cool and sexy. "Cassian's adopting liberal arts strays again?"
"What do you mean?"
"You do know Cassian's in the geology department, right?"
Luke frowns, his eyebrows scrunching together.  "So what was he doing—?"
Bodhi shakes his head, chuckling. "Sometimes it's better not to ask. You'll figure that out quickly enough."
Luke ducks his head and laughs. "I guess so." After a moment he despondently realizes that he left his cup inside, but Bodhi's reaching under his chair and pulling out another jelly glass. "What do you study?" he asks as Bodhi fills it with what might be vodka or maybe tequila.
"I'm a post-doc in applied mathematics," says Bodhi, handing Luke the glass and raising his own. "Cheers."
The liquid is tequila and Luke should be alarmed at how smoothly it goes down. "Wow, that's some hard science you've got there," says Luke with a hint of rasp to his voice.
"Hard science, huh," repeats Bodhi, more than a hint of amusement in his voice. "You're allowed not to like it, you know," he says, taking another long swallow of tequila, which Luke isn't going to complain about because it displays the column of Bodhi's throat in a way that he's more than a little interested in seeing again.
Still, he does have to stand up for himself a bit, and whatever kind of tequila this is, it doesn't bite like the swill Luke's used to. He takes a slightly shorter drink before saying, "Tastes just fine, but if you've been drinking this like that all night, I say you're in that chair because you can't stand any longer."
Really, flaring nostrils trailing smoke like a dragon shouldn't be possible much less this attractive but somehow Bodhi manages it. Stubbing his cigarette out in an empty coffee can, Bodhi rises to his feet smoothly. "This old drunk isn't just standing, but about to kick your ass at bocce."
Luke stands up and is slightly surprised to see they're the same height: Bodhi had seemed longer when he'd been slouched in the chair. "You're on, old man. Liberal arts students have nothing to do but play lawn games, don't you know?"
"Bocce's all about geometry, donn't you know, history boy," says Bodhi, walking about the lawn and kicking the balls towards the better lit areas.  Luke spots the pellina by the fence and bends over to pick it up, the world only spinning a little bit as he does so. Fuck, he's a little more drunk than he thought.
"Bocce's all about instincts," he says, walking up to where Bodhi's gathered the other balls, pulling another cigarette out of the pack with his lips.
Luke watches Bodhi lick his thumb, thinking this must all be a distraction tactic, but it turns out that he's testing the air to shift downwind before he lights the smoke. "You gonna toss that or not?" he says around the cigarette and really, it's unhealthy and shouldn't be sexy at all.
"Yeah, right," he says, catching himself staring again, and lofts the pellina across the yard. "So what's with calling this place Casa Roja?" he asks as Bodhi makes his first, frightfully accurate throw.
Bodhi points at the roof, which is indeed brightly painted red tin. "Thought it was obvious, but maybe you missed it for all the stars," he says as Luke manages to not only plant his first ball closer, but knock Bodhi's out of contention.
Luke grins at him and takes another sip of tequila. "Fair enough, but the stars are so pretty."
"Too much light pollution around here," says Bodhi as he in turn manages to roll right against the pellina.
Luke sighs. "So what do you do in applied mathematics?" he asks, scowling as his last throw goes too far.
Bodhi actually pumps his fist in the air before grinning at Luke. "Math, mostly."
"Har, har," says Luke as they cross the yard and Bodhi is sauntering rather close to him, his elbow brushing against Luke's in what must be a distraction tactic, Luke's not really this lucky.
"Well if you asked my peers, they'd tell you my job is crashing the supercomputer," says Bodhi, making the next pellina throw.
Luke actually does laugh at that. "How do you crash a supercomputer?"
"Lots and lots of code. My code's going to take us to those stars, I'll have you know, once I finally manage to compile that shit," says Bodhi, sparing a glance upwards as Luke lands a fantastic roll. "And what patch of history do you call your own?"
"Uhh… Mughal India, actually," says Luke, hoping that this won't turn into an awkward discussion of colonialism. It's not his history, but he gets a feeling that it might be Bodhi's.
Bodhi surprises him by actually looking flattered. "Really?" He grinds his cigarette out under his heel. "How's your Urdu?"
"Passable for reading, not so much for speaking." Luke wins the point and celebrates with a very long drink. "How's yours?" he asks before clapping his hands over his mouth in embarrassment.
"Non-existent. Born in London, raised there and in LA, my parents always wanted me to learn but my mind's always been a bit too full of algorithms for much else," says Bodhi. He gets a very soft look on his face when he notices Luke's distress and reaches up to rest a hand on Luke's shoulder— his hand feels very warm and kind of nice. "It's all right, I brought it up, if I'd asked about Hindi, you'd have asked me about Hindi, it's just how conversation works for people not in the fucking liberal arts."
"No it's not, it's a hideous fucking racist presumption, god, I can't believe I just did that to you— I'm so sorry," mumbles Luke, burying his head in his hands.
"Luke," says Bodhi, his hand curling up to stroke the back of Luke's neck in an incredibly soothing way. Luke lowers his hands and Bodhi's grinning at him. "You're drunk. We're both drunk. Let's not get emotional about this, let's play some bocce and then find someplace to make out where we can't hear the accordions and Cassian can't take pictures."
Luke feels his eyes bulge out. "You mean that?"
Bodhi's grin turns positively wolfish as he leans forward and kisses Luke lightly, his lips tasting like cigarettes and tequila. "Absolutely," he says. "Once I finish kicking your ass at bocce, that is." Luke wins. Bodhi doesn’t seem to mind.
