i love this! i was just playing savage a few mins ago haha

additional thoughts/lads boys as ffxiv raiders:

xavier is naturally good at games, so he’s your party flexer. he prefers being tank but he can play it all—melee, ranged, caster, healer (in that order of preference). doesn’t care much about glam but tries to match the set mc is wearing. he’s the type not to watch guides before a raid but understands mechanics innately and learns quickly. spaces out when a raid goes on for too long and will come back and ask “wait was it stack or spread???” will always reserve skills like ‘cover’ and ‘the blackest night’ for mc.

zayne likes playing games but has no time for it. he’s good at one class—sage—and has that class optimized. he likes using the artifact gear sets cause they look appropriate for the class. studies before a raid, prepares the macro, sets the waymarks. does the correct call outs in the voice chat. saves ‘haima’ for mc even if she doesn’t need it. will always use ‘rescue’ on mc if she’s in the wrong position.

rafayel enjoys playing games and is in it for fun. likes switching between classes he feels are fun to play, like viper, ninja, and dancer. sometimes will try out red mage and astrologian. loves dressing his character up and grinds for glam. changes hairstyles frequently and has used more than 1 fanta bottle. studies for a raid but sometimes makes the wrong call outs over voice call. will put ‘dance partner’ on mc no matter what class she is. likes choosing the class that will be paired with mc in pair mechanics.

sylus didn’t understand what was so fun about games until mc introduced him to it. likes doing big damage, and has researched the classes that produce big numbers—especially prefers being melee dps. occasionally will play tank if needed. pretends he doesn’t care about the glam but mc has seen him purchasing black dye from the marketboard. studies for a raid and actively practices his rotation on the striking dummy. does call outs only for mc. will always use the limit break.
