Once upon a time in the futuristic land of Royalea, a secret spy academy was made for royals to train and become professional spies. After years of suffering from invaders and having their kin kidnapped and slain by the same invader rebels, the royals wanted to put a stop to it all, they wanted to protect their children, their future heirs.
They had learned from their past mistakes and devised a plan to become stronger. They strictly trained their children at a young age to help in preparing them to face all kinds of enemies. So that when the time comes, they will be able to protect themselves. They won't be the ones cowering in fear, feeling helpless and begging for mercy at the hands of their enemies.
They will be the ones invading other lands and eradicating anyone who threatens to come in their way. That is how they innovated their land. With their newfound courage and mindset. Within just a few years of establishing the academy, they had the latest gadgets and technology the neighboring countries would envy. Their princes and princesses trained brilliant in combat. To them, it didn't make their heirs any less poised and graceful just because they knew how to fight. Those times are done, and they knew what was most important having witnessed the chaotic events that happened before.
Although most of them thought that- not everyone did. A few royals still wanted to live the traditional way, they preferred to raise their royal children by the book and with grace, as they say. They reasoned that their heirs' responsibilities were to lead a land, not play as guards. They were curious about the superb technology their land had now, but they limited their use of it. Your parents were one of those traditional royals.
The queen was about to enjoy the morning's prepared feast, when she caught you in the corner of her eye wearing a cloak heading for the door. You were probably planning to sneak out before breakfast again. "Y/N, come back here dear. You were trying to sneak out again right? Where have you been running off to these days? I hope it's not where I think it is, because I've told you not to go there-" The queen had ranted but you cut her off. "It's not where you think it is okay? But even if it was, why won't you let me go anyway? How will I be safe If I don't know how to defend myself?"
"You know why we forbid you to go to that place. You're safer here. You don't need to become a brute to be safe. That's why there are guards to protect you, you have your own knight Hoseok to protect you-" The queen rambled and explained only to be interrupted by you again. "Well I don't want to just rely on the guards and my knight, your majesty. I wanna be able to protect myself whenever and wherever. You say I'm safer here, but you can't always assure that. I don't know why you won't just let me be a-" It was the queen's turn to interrupt you, "And I don't know why you keep on insisting to disrespect and disobey me. Don't finish that sentence or you'll regret it princess. Actually, If you won't listen to me then maybe you'd be better off inside your room the whole day. Guards, please escort Princess Y/N to her room and make sure she doesn't leave the palace."
"This is so unfair! Why are you doing this to me?" You exclaimed. "You know why, my child. It's because I only want to keep you safe. I'm doing this for you so don't dare to disobey me again, or you might have to stay in your tower for a year again." The queen warned. You didn't bother to retort anymore, it was futile.
You were bored, your breakfast was sent to your room but you didn't have the appetite to eat. You were supposed to be assigned to a new mission today, it just sucks that your mother had seen you on the way out. All of it sucked. This castle you're in, your mother, (though you loved her deeply, she can sometimes be so difficult and strict.) everyone on this planet, Prince Jeon, wait⌠Jeon Jungkook. That's it! Maybe if his panties aren't in a twist today- maybe he can help you get out. It won't hurt to try though, so that's what you decided to do. You took your phone and messaged him.
To Agent đ°: 9:18 am

I'm otw my princess. And for the Nth time I told you I'm not a furry!
Jungkook arrived to the palace after a while, the queen was always delighted to see his presence. "Prince Jungkook, It's a pleasure to see you. If you don't mind me asking, what brings you here today?" the queen inquired. "It's a pleasure to see you too your majesty. I actually came here to see Princess Y/N, is she busy?" Jungkook said albeit knowing you were stuck in your room.
"Oh not really. Let me ask the maids to get her for you."
"Um, if you don't mind your majesty, I can just go into her room myself. If that's okay?" Jungkook asked. "Of course that's okay dear. You know where her room is right?" Jungkook nodded.
Jungkook was taking a little too long, you thought. If only you had another choice, you wouldn't conspire with that annoying prince. After a few seconds, you heard someone knocking on your door. Could it be him? "Jungkook is that you?" you inquired. "No, I'm not Jungkook miss. I'm just your friendly neighborhood spiderman." you opened the door and there stood the handsome ebony haired prince. "Spiderman your ass, what took you so long? I've been waiting here for ages!" You whined. "Sorry princess, I did try to hurry a little for you. Anyway, what's the plan?" The prince said as he sat and made himself comfortable in your bed.
"Hmm. I was thinking maybe you could convince my mother to let me go out with you today," You looked at him directly, trying to convey what your plan is with your eyes. "Even though I'm supposed to be grounded. Maybe you could tell her that we're gonna practice archery, or we're gonna conquer other lands, whatever just do your thing. As gross as it is and I don't know why but, she's quite fond of you so- help me get out of here." Jungkook stares at you and notices how your long brown wavy hair falls over your face. He always thought your hairstyle matched perfectly to your face. You were actually kind of perfect to him. But he'll never tell you that of course, even if you or someone threatened to kill him.
"And what do I get by helping you princess?" He smirked. He loved teasing you and making you irritated, he thought it was kind of cute how your face would turn red from anger after he irritated the shit out of you and when you get flustered. Everytime he teased you he couldn't help but think you were sort of cute. "You can get the satisfaction of me letting you get more points on the top spies leaderboard." You replied smartly.
"As if you'd let me do that without chewing my ear off. Please give me something that's actually factual."
"Fine. Hmm, how about me promising not to insult you for a week even if you annoy the hell out of me?" You suggested smiling a little manipulatively at him. "Eh, that's lame. How about you do me a dare and maybe I'll agree to your planposal." He retorted and smirked arrogantly. You hated when he smiled like that, he's always so cocky and just because he looked handsome as hell- not that you'll admit it out loud ever, doesn't mean you'll fall for his insufferable cute ass. Wait did you just say handsome and cute? Ew. You meant evil. Yes that's what you meant⌠Anyway.
"Please don't say planposal ever again," You rolled your eyes at him. "Regardless, it depends on what the dare is. If you want me to run around naked and flash the whole kingdom then that's not gonna happen baby." You told him strictly.
"Don't worry princess, as satisfying that concept is for me, I don't wanna be the cause of blindness and curse the whole land." What the heck did he mean? Did he just insult me? "Whatever, Jeon. Just tell me what you want." You demanded.
"I want you." What? Did his last tiny brain cell die and now he's talking nonsense?
"What?" you replied flustered by his weird statement.
"I want you to do this mission for me. That's my dare. Why are you flustered though? Did you think about something else?" He taunted and smirked again, It's like he never stops being cocky when he's around you.
"Of course not. I'm not delusional like you. And what mission is it that you can't seem to do it yourself? Is Prince Jeon a little scared?"
"I'm not scared. It's just no fun to do it myself when I can have my princess to do it for me. That's my condition though if you want me to help you get out of here. I'll help you escape, and you'll help me when you're out. Is it a deal?"
"Hmm, tell me what mission is it and maybe I'll agree." You proposed. "You'll know when you do it, so I'm not telling you right now. Also, I want you to do another little thing for me." He grinned evilly. You have a feeling you're gonna hate him even more for what he's about to make you do. Nevertheless you agreed, if that meant he'd help you get away from your mother today. [INSERT PIC]
You were finally able to get out of the palace thanks to Jeon Jungkook's annoying face. You don't know how he charmed your mother, but at least she bought the act that the two of you were practicing your archery skills. You got what you wanted, but at the cost of your ego. You couldn't believe you actually praised Jeon Jungkook in public and embarrassed yourself on social media. Anyhow, the two of you were now on the way to the academy riding your respective monocycles. (the ones the guys in Men in Black used to ride, if you've seen the movie.)
It didn't take long for you to arrive, and before the other royal spies could see that you two came together, you already told Jungkook to maintain some distance beforehand, and act as if you didn't just hangout awhile ago.
You parked your monocycle and just as you were about to go inside the academy, you noticed how Jeon Jungkook gathered the attention of some girls and even boys too. Maybe it was the way his hair still looked perfect and fluffy in the wind, or the way he walked so gracefully just how a prince should. Either way, you couldn't deny how popular he was. He was every prince/princess' dream guy. No one could resist him, and maybe you couldn't too, maybe that's why you loathe him a lot.
In Prince Jungkook's defense, it wasn't his fault he was born so damn beautiful. He didn't pretend that he didn't notice the stares and the attention people gave him. But he also wasn't so cocky about it. He was still quite humble if he might say, and he was a shy guy too. He didn't actually care about everyone's attention, well maybe except one. It was still confusing to him how you always thought he was cocky because he was popular, as if you weren't cocky and popular too? He wondered if you noticed the other princes gawking at you when you walk by, or the insecure princesses rolling their eyes because they can't be you. You weren't even just a princess, you were one of the best spies in the academy too.
You were practicing your knife throwing skills when you noticed a presence beside you.
"Go on continue, don't mind my gorgeous presence here." He said.
"What are you doing here Jeon? And what do you want? I'm busy," you retorted. "I just wanted to remind you about our deal princess. The mission I want you to do, it's at 1800. Just wanted you to be ready."
"I'm always ready Jeon."
"I know but you might need a good luck from me personally for this one, that's why I came to see you before you go. Good luck my princess, be safe." He said and left you wondering if the mission was truly as dangerous as he hinted.
âĄ
It turned out that the mission was quite harder than you expected. You had to overthrow a mad king, but not just any mad king- he was a retired superspy too. It didn't help that his army were giant killer robots, and although you've trained at a young age, it was still a little difficult to defeat them alone. You understand now why Jungkook made you do this mission, it was a trap.
That insufferable prince- he'll see when you get out of this hell hole, if you get out of here alive he'll really get his ass kicked. "Ballsacks!" you cursed as you barely dodged the laser beam the giant robot just shot at you. You were debating now if you should call reinforcements but you didn't wanna lower your pride for him even more. You didnt wanna give him the satisfaction of knowing you're failing this mission.
Just as you thought you were gonna get crushed by one of the ginormous robots- to your surprise, the nasty thing got blown into bits.
"I knew these bubblegum bombs would come in handy someday," the voice spoke. "It's really unprofessional of you to leave your gadgets behind princess. You should be thankful I decided to bring them here to you." Of course it was the insufferable agent rabbit.
"What are you doing here Jeon?" you inquired rudely.
"What does it look like I'm doing Y/N? I'm saving your ass from getting killed." he retorted, and you were taken aback when he called you by your first name. It was a rule that agents should call each other by their codenames, you wondered if he forgot about that. "How dare you call me by my name! You know that isn't allowed. Call me by my codename you idiot, and I don't need you to save me, I can save myself thank you very much." You retorted.
"You called me by my name first! Whatever, and sure you can, you were obviously not about to get crushed just five minutes ago. I didn't even get a sincere thanks from you 'cause in case you forgot, just like how you forgot your gadgets, I saved you princess." he said snarkily. "Well, I didn't ask you to, but fine thanks a lot! I'm so grateful you saved me. Happy now?" So what if he saved your ass this time, it's not like he saved the world? And you were only in this predicament because of him anyway. This was his mission and he made you do it, maybe it was your fault for underestimating the mission hence, you only brought a few gadgets- but that's not even such a big deal. So why is he blaming you and making such a fuss about this? You really despised his ass.
"That still sounds so insincere princess, but sure I'll accept that, we have bigger robots to fry right now anyway-"
"Don't stop attacking them annihilate them fast!" The mad king exclaimed as he instructed his gigantic robots to attack the two of you even harder. You heard his minions reply and called him Agust, maybe that was his name. Jungkook and you were hiding at this point, their attacks were getting stronger and you really needed to finish this mission fast but that's still a problem for now. Luckily Jungkook thought of a plan, and he decided you should use the remaining bubblegum bombs to destroy all the massive robots, but you had to chew the gums first before blowing it on them.
You blew the last one on the king and successfully eradicated his existence for good. It was satisfying to defeat him albeit it wasn't that easy.
"Ugh, finally we can go home now." Jungkook whined. "Yeah, mayhaps I can't believe we could work as a team." You added. "A team? I did all the work though? Without me you'd probably be-" you cut him off, "Yeah sure, whatever but I still helped blow the gum bombs! Anyway, we better leave now my mother's probably worried."
"I would be too, if I had a daughter like you." he remarked. "What's that supposed to mean Jeon?" You glared at him. "Oh nothing, nothing my princess." there he goes again smirking like a cocky idiot. Gross. He didn't even stop grinning when you rode your monocycles all the way home.
~âĄ~
"Prince Jeon, Princess Y/N, It's late. What took you so long?" The King inquired. You were surprised to say the least that it wasn't your mother, the queen who was waiting for you when you arrived. "Sorry if I took her out so long your majesty, we decided to visit my kingdom after practicing archery and got distracted. We didn't realize the sun had already set when we were done, my apologies." Jungkook smoothly reasoned.
"It's fine, next time just don't stay out too late. Though Y/N dear, what happened to your dress? It's as dirty as a peasant! Is that how a princess should behave and carry herself? You're lucky your mother isn't here and on an emergency meeting right now, or you'll be grounded for life!" Your father added. "Dad I-" you were about to defend yourself and explain when Jungkook cut you off.
"It's actually my fault, your majesty. Please don't blame Princess Y/N. We were playing at the castle, and mayhaps we had too much fun. I apologize again, your majesty." Jungkook looked at you in a conspiring way, as if to tell you to ride along with his story. "Very well. You should stop apologizing son, accidents can happen." Wow. Your father didn't get mad at the obnoxious rabbit prince, but he got mad at you, how fracking fair. It's totally fine. You truly felt great. "Although you both should always be mindful of how you look and your actions, you are royalty after all." The king added.
"Of course dad, even though I didn't ask to be born like thisâŚ" You quipped, voice lowering a little as you finished saying it. "What did you say Y/N?" "Nothing dad, can I go eat dinner now? I'm hungry as heck. Bye Jeon, have a safe trip on the way home." You told Jungkook and were already heading to the dining area when your father decided to say something that stopped you from going there completely, "Mind your language dear, also it's truly quite late, aren't you starving Prince Jungkook?" The king inquired, staring at Jungkook to check his reaction. "Um, It's late your majesty I should be heading home, and I don't know if Princess Y/N wants me to eat with herâŚ" You glared at him and mouthed 'What the fck Jeon? You frackin pig!' well obnoxiously he looked like a rabbit with his big bunny teeth, but the way he was acting now- he was like a starving pig. The king ignored what Jungkook said and told him, "Nonsense boy! I'm sure Princess Y/N will be delighted to have you join us for dinner. I already ate actually, but I'd love to join you both for dinner again I could get some snack- you can't always have enough snacks!" The king exclaimed enthusiastically.
"But dad-" you try to dissuade him to no avail, "No buts my lovely daughter, Prince Jungkook will be joining us for dinner. You should probably change your clothes before you eat dinner, Jungkook and I will head to the dining room first. Come along now Jungkook," The king beckoned as Jungkook followed him to the dining room. You were planning to have a peaceful dinner tonight, but of course Jeon Jungkook would ruin that as fracking always. When will he ever stop annoying you?
You went to your room begrudgingly, and changed into some casual clothes that were still appropriate for dinner but also for having an annoying guest eating with you. After a short while, you finally joined them to eat. You sat beside Jungkook and your father was at the center of the table. It wouldn't have been awkward if your father didn't start to ask obnoxious questions.
"So Prince Jeon, what have you been up to these days? Searching for potential wife candidates?" The king inquired. You glared at your father. Jungkook almost choked on a piece of steak he was eating, but he managed to answer after drinking some water. "Uh, I've been busy with my duties your majesty. Ensuring the safety of my people and thinking of ways to stop the remaining rebels. I haven't really had the time to look for potential wife candidates."
"Oh. It's good to hear that you prioritize the safety of your people Prince Jeon. But you're not getting any younger. Soon enough, you'll need a good wife to be your future queen and help you lead the kingdom. Do you have anyone in mind right now?" The king probed. "Dad- stop being so nosy." You said, annoyed and a little embarrassed. "I'm not, I'm just asking the boy if he has an idea or a person in mind to be his future queen. So do you, Prince Jeon?"
"Um- as I've said your majesty, I'm too busy to think about marriage right now. I'm still young though, so I'm not that in a hurry to get married." Jungkook replied a little uncomfortable but still respectful. "That's comprehensible. I think Y/N here," Your father said while looking at you, "is the same too."
"Although, I have someone in mind for her already." The king announced, making Jungkook feel something weird inside him. Jungkook wondered what the king meant- or who he meant? For some crazy reason, he can't imagine you marrying someone. Or someone else⌠Of course not that he wants to marry you! But- maybe it wouldn't be so bad at all too. "Okay, this conversation is over dad," You told the king. "We're done eating and Jungkook has to go home, so goodbye everyone I'm going to my room now." You stood up and went to your room in a hurry.
"But Y/N I'm not done talking you brat! I still haven't finished this delicious croissant-" The king quipped disappointedly. "She's quite a disrespectful brat sometimes, I wonder who she got it from- forgive my daughter Jeon."
"It's okay your majesty, I was about to leave too. I'll be going now if you don't mind-"
"Wait-" Jungkook stood up and sat again because of what the king said. "I hope you're not mad at her, she really is a little hard to handle." The king looked at him pitifully, "Oh, I'm not your majesty. Though I won't disagree with you on that statement- about her being hard to handle I meanâŚ" he joked.
"Yes, she is quite stubborn. But I'm sure you can handle her quite well." Jungkook was confused again, what did your father mean? "I'm sorry your majesty, I don't really get what you're trying to say?" The king looked him in the eye gleefully and said, "I'm saying, I like you- for her. I think the both of you would make a perfect match." Jungkook blushed, oh. So that's what he meant.
"Don't you agree Prince Jeon?" The king teased him further. "I-... Yes I suppose so, your majesty." He shyly replied. It would be rude to disagree, or say awful stuff. "That is- if you're not secretly a couple yet, are you not?"
"No!" Jungkook replied a little too loud. "I meant- no we aren't yet your majesty. We're not secretly seeing each otherâŚ" he backtracked, calmer now. "Oh, you aren't yet. That's alright, the two of you are still young- there's still a lot of time. We're just excited for your wedding and to see our grandchildren! But all in God's perfect timing- anyway sorry for keeping you here, have a safe trip home Prince Jeon! Hopefully you'll be calling me dad soon." The king whispered the last bit as Jungkook was finally on his way out of the palace, but he still heard it to his dismay, and it didn't help in making the forming blush on his cheeks go away. The thought of getting married with you isn't so appalling to him- but having kids right away⌠it was weird to think about. The whole conversation was weird to think about and yet it was the most constant thing on his mind the whole night.
~đ~
You were lucky the queen was still on an important meeting as you made your way out of the palace, or so you thought- when your father, the king shouted your name in your lawn. Of course he made you go back to your room, and unless you had important things to do outside you won't be able to go out. And because of that, you resorted to call the bunny prince for help again. So now, you're waiting for him to be your knight in shining armor and take you away from the palace again. After an hour of agony, he finally arrived and managed to convince your father with a shitty excuse to let you go with him. If you weren't seeing things, you might've thought they were whispering some secret information to each other. Your parents always looked like they were so elated to see that prince in the palace. Your dad was being weird now too. Men are such eerie creatures, you thought.
"Hey Jeon. What were you whispering about to my dad a while ago?" You called to him as you rode your speedy monocycles. "What?" Mayhaps he didn't hear you, as the wind gushed too loud. "I said- nevermind." You didn't bother to ask him what they talked about anymore, maybe it didn't matter anyway. You were nearing the academy, and you parked your monocycle right away when you arrived. Not bothering to look at him and see his fangirls flocking over him again.
You were practicing with throwing your dart knives when you overheard a girl and a familiar someone talking. "Baby! You're always so hot and perfect! you're on the top spies leaderboard again, marry me please!" Her rat-like voice annoyed you, so you decided to stare at her in hopes that she'll feel a little embarrassed at least. But to no avail, she only continued her mouth breathing sentiments."I don't mean to be rude Princess Fiona, but I'm not ready to get married right now." or ever with you, Jungkook wanted to add- but he only did in his mind.
And of course, the cause of this headache inducing fiasco is no other than Prince Jungkook, why are you even surprised? Why can't they be annoying somewhere else? Probably a million miles away from you? "Oh, I don't mean right away silly. Maybe in a few weeks or months? I just know we're meant to be my prince." Gawd, you're actually praying for her future husband. Hopefully he can stand her annoying rat-ogre voice. "I'm sorry Fiona, I really think I'm not the right guy for you. Although I heard Lord Farquaad seemed to have feelings for you." Jungkook suggested. "What? Lord Farquaad? Ew, he's a midget gross. Is that why you won't marry me? Are you jealous baby? You don't have to be!" she squealed and giggled, you had to stop yourself for aiming at her face, it wasn't the knife's fault and you were against animal cruelty anyway.
"No," Jungkook sighed, she wasn't getting it. "I'm not jealous. I just think you're better off with Lord Farquaad, and I'm better withâŚ"
"Better with who? Oh please tell me Prince Jeon who's better with you rather than I?" She seemed to look around at other girls, hoping to find the answer to her question when Jungkook still couldn't reply. She only stopped when she noticed you looking at her too, so you looked away from her and turned your attention on a laser gun that was displayed instead. You were planning to tune them out fully, when she spoke something that triggered something in you. Something you didn't quite like.
"When you said you were better off with someone else, did you mean to say you were better off with someone like Princess Y/N? Are you serious Prince Jeon? She's not even that pretty, or that great of a spy." Hearing her utter those ill-founded words made your blood boil, how dare she point out your flaws and insecurity? You were already one of the best spies, yet you still trained to be a better spy everyday, even if you being a spy was against your parents' wishes- maybe that's why you couldn't control your next actions- you threw one of the dart knives at her direction.
Lucky for her, it missed her face by a centimeter. Actually, if you wanted to hit her you could've, but you just wanted to shut her up. And shut her up you did. She was too shocked to speak at first, too in awe at what happened. Until she regained her senses and confronted the perpetrator. "You! Y/N how dare you try to impale my face with that dirty knife! My father will hear about this!" she pointed at you looking mad and ogre-like at the same time.
"Oh stop being too dramatic Fiona, maybe it was an accident, I'm sure Y/N didn't mean to throw it at you." Jungkook said glancing your way, though it looked more like he was trying to save your ass rather than comfort the ogre like princess. "But I did though Jungkook. I meant to aim it at her to shut her up," You replied looking Fiona directly in the eyes. "See Jungkook? She didn't even deny it!" she exclaimed.
"Which I only did because of what you spoke about me. You had the audacity to insult and slander me, yet you got scared of almost getting what you deserved. Please Princess Fiona save it for someone who cares, it's not me or Jungkook but mayhaps another ogre does." You kept your knives and walked away from them. "Come back here you bitch! You still have to pay for almost murdering me!" she screamed wanting to follow you, but Jungkook held her back from doing so.
"Fiona stop harassing Y/N. You won't follow her nor will you continue to insult her, if you as much touch her hair or be near her- you'll be hearing from me. And I also won't hesitate to tell your father about what you're doing." Jungkook reprimanded her and left the fuming princess to follow after you.
Jungkook found you at another training station trying some new gadget that was actually quite useful to distract and even escape rebels, if you were in a hurry. You didnât seem to notice him yet or you pretended not to, so he made his presence known by speaking first.
"That seems really handy, you could totally make use of that a lot when needing an escape for extremely hard missions." You were still ignoring him so he spoke again. "Not saying you always escape hard missions-" You interrupted him. "Then what are you saying Jeon? Just because I needed a little help from you on that difficult mission, doesn't mean I'll always need someone or something to save me. For the record, I don't always rely on gadgets to defeat enemies, I've successfully completed a lot of missions without them."
"I know that Y/N, I'm just trying to give you some advice." he retorted. "More like you're trying to prove to me that you're always right."
"But aren't I babe? I'm indeed always right,"
"Don't call me that, hearing you call me it just gave me a disease." You chided. "Oh really? I bet you secretly like it though, just like you like me." He boasted. "Wait what? Where did that come from? Are you on crack or did your last brain cell finally decided to leave you?" How dare he assume and say such horrendous things? He's probably hallucinating or something.
"Excuse me I don't do crack, but you don't have to deny it. I get it you're shy, and you were jealous of Fiona that's why you acted up a while ago-" he's truly insufferable. "Me Jealous? Please don't delude yourself, wake up from that dream it isn't healthy." You wanted to leave his delusional ass once more, but he prevented you from doing that when he cornered you to a wall and got too close for comfort. "I can prove it you know, that you're jealous," He was breathing hotly on your face, staring deeply into your eyes and slowly, he seemed to inch his face closer to yours- as if planning to steal a taste of your lips, you were so flustered that you decided to close your eyes. Waiting and kind of hoping to feel his soft lips on yours, but it never came.
Because just before Jungkook could kiss you, you heard someone cough, and the both of you decided to break apart from each other. "Ehem. Agent Y/N and Agent JK, I'm going to assign mission partners, you should both probably be at the assembly hall so you don't miss it." Your instructor said looking at the two of you weirdly. You both awkwardly looked at him back and nodded.
đ
"Agent Fiona and Agent Farquaad, you'll be partners for this mission and probably the succeeding ones too." Your instructor announced, Fiona grimaced seemingly disappointed with who her partner was but not bothering to say anything. Meanwhile, Farquaad had a smile on his face as he was partnered with the gal he liked. When your turn came, you couldn't believe the luck you just had to be partnered with the guy you wanted to avoid the most.
"Agent Y/N and Agent JK, youâll be partners for this mission and the succeeding ones, as you both are the best spies in this academy." Your instructor said with gleam in his eyes. Did he plan this? Did he think you and Jungkook got along well because of what he almost saw a while ago? What the hell? What is he doing? You were having an internal monologue, as you were still having a hard time processing the fact that you'll have to spend more time with annoying Prince Jungkook again. You couldn't believe it, you wouldn't. Your mental breakdown was interrupted by someone's disgustingly familiar voice speaking to you,
"So, partners huh? I'd say I'm glad to be partnered by a top spy in our academy, but I'm not really sure I am. Maybe 'cause I loathe it as much as you do?" You glared at him. "As if I'll be partners with you," you retorted and stormed off to find your instructor to plead with him.
"Um. Excuse me sir, can I please switch partners?" you pleaded to your instructor when you found him. "Agent Y/N⌠I'm sorry, but I chose your partners for a reason. Also, Agent JK is one of the best spy princes. I don't understand why you don't wanna be partners with him?" He replied.
"I know sir, but- we just don't get along that well, and actually, I think I can handle a mission on my own just fine." you explained. "I'm one of the best spies as you've said, and we all know that's true so⌠Please?"
"I'm really sorry Agent Y/N, but my decision is final. Your partner is Agent JK, and if you have problems with each other right now, then hopefully this mission will help you guys resolve it, and make you feel closer." Your instructor paused for a bit, you didn't know why but he was seemingly and suddenly in deep thought. "If you don't mind me asking and I don't mean to be nosy, but are you guys having a lovers quarrel or something?" he inquired.
"W-what? Of course not sir! Me and him lovers? Not in this lifetime. Why did you even think of that if I may ask?" you were flustered but curious. Did your instructor think of that because of what he saw a while ago? You didn't even know what truly transpired between you and Jungkook in that moment, you just knew that it felt right and wrong at the same time. "I think you realize that I saw you both a while ago, you two were pretty close to each other. I just thought you might be dating. It's a little disappointing that you aren't but that's okay." you fought another blush that threatened to show in your cheeks because of what your instructor said.
"But sir- why would it be disappointing?" you asked dumbly. "It's a little disappointing because you two look great together. You're both compatible in my opinion," he said looking at you seriously. "You're both top spies, both popular within the academy and even outside of it, you're both competitive, but you complement each other. Should I tell you more?" you didn't know if he was asking rhetorically or if he really wanted you to answer that question, so you just looked at the walls of the academy instead. But you also thought about what he said, did you and Jungkook really complement each other?
"If you don't have anymore questions Agent YN, I'll be going now. I still have some tasks to do, but remember that I'm rooting for both of you." he smiled at you knowingly, and your instructor went back to his room. Whether he meant that in regards to you both being spies, or the concept of you and Jungkook dating, mayhaps it was both- you didnât know. But you were more scared than curious to ponder about it and find out.
You still went home together with Jungkook despite of the awkward air around the two of you, even if you didn't wanna be partners with him mayhaps you didn't have any choice, so why bother complaining about it anymore. You both chose to stay silent during the ride on the way home, not really talking until you arrived at the palace.
đ
"You got home late again. What have you both been doing that's taking up your whole time and day?" The king inquired immediately when you both arrived. "Dad- we were justâŚ" You replied until Jungkook cut you off again, he seemed to be doing that frequently these days.
"We were just hanging out as usual your majesty. Actually- we're hanging out too much becauseâŚ" Jungkook hesitantly took a peek in your direction, "Because- we're dating." what in the name of crippled hairy ballsacks is he on now? Mayhaps he's really lost it and now cursing you.
"What the hell are you talking about Jeon?" you yelled and glared at him. He looked like he was trying to talk to you telepathically with his eyes, because he obviously can't do it with his mind. "Y/N- can you just play along-" he whispered to you. Your father wasn't all too happy with the way you screamed and cursed though, so he reprimanded you again. "Princess Y/N! Your language!" he also yelled brows furrowed in disappointment. "Have you forgotten your manners? A princess doesn't act like a tasteless fool!" he chided, you ignored him and pretended that you didnât hear him. You just wanted to go to your room and disappear forever.
"And you Prince Jeon, is what you're saying the truth?" The king said as he looked at Jungkook pointedly. "Are you and Y/N truly dating? Why haven't you told us this? When did you both even start seeing each other?"
"Your majesty I can explain. Please don't be furious at us- or at least at Y/N that much-" Jungkook reasoned. "We wanted to keep it a secret for a while, as we were afraid of your reaction."
"Well aren't you afraid now? You just confessed your relationship in front of me." The king said. "We still are. Though I thought maybe you needed to know now, because secrets aren't meant to be kept forever." Jungkook explained.
"And is that truly the reason why you keep visiting Princess Y/N here and having all your rendezvous?" The king inquired again. "Well obviously dad, didn't you hear what he said?" You retorted smartly. You decided you were going to go with whatever this ballsack show Jungkook wants to play, if that meant your real secret won't be found out. (that is if they don't know of it already and are just letting you go for now.) Anyway, If this fake relationship is your escape pass then so be it. You were still planning to confront Jungkook about this shit show later though.
"Stop being sassy you brat, I wasn't talking to you, I was clearly asking our prince here." your dad scolded you. "Did you even court her properly Prince Jeon? I hope you did everything you can to truly deserve her heart."
"I- I didâŚYour majesty. I can tell you all about how I wooed her during dinner. That is if you'll allow me to stay for dinner?" Jungkook somewhat smoothly replied. You gave him a grim warning look- because he was really pushing it. Though mayhaps, you supposed him staying for dinner wouldn't be so insufferable- since you could talk to him after, and discuss what's going on in his heinous mind.
"Alright, Prince Jeon. You can stay for dinner, and maybe you can convince me if you're truly fitting for my dear Princess Y/N." The king replied.

Your father and Jungkook chatted amicably, though the king interrogated Jungkook a lot about your relationship. The king asked about how you both realized you were in love with each other, which was awkward because you weren't really in love. You let Jungkook do all the talking since he's a better liar in your opinion. Your father even had the audacity to ask when was your first kiss together? To which Jungkook almost choked on his water, while his cheeks burned red. It didn't seem like he'd stop interrogating Jungkook soon, so before he could ask Jungkook more personal questions like, if you'd slept together already- (It was common for the new generation of royals in your land to sleep around even before being wed.) You decided to interrupt and end their conversation.
You excused yourself from the table, telling your father you were full, and took Jungkook with you. The king surprisingly allowed you to go without a lot of fuss, but he did shoot you both suggestive looks. When you got to your room, Jungkook seemed to be relieved that you stopped the king from torturing him even further. Maybe using the word 'torturing' was a bit harsh- but that was kinda what Jungkook felt when your father asked him all those personal questions. Not that he was truly in pain, but more like he felt weird thinking about all the little white lies he told the king. He wondered if in the future it might come true? Would he still feel awkward or would he enjoy it? He was interrupted from his pondering when he heard your adorable voice, he realized you were talking to him.
"Hello?? Earth to rabbit prince? I was asking you a question but you seemed to be on planet mars or something," You commented while sitting on your bed. "Oh, sorry. I was just thinking about some stuff and thingsâŚ" He was thinking about the possibilities of you and him- was what he wanted to say, but he'll probably never say it even if he was blackmailed by an enemy. "Stuff and things huh? Are you the main lead of Walking Dead now? Anyway- I was just asking you why you suddenly decided that we should fake date?"
"I-" Jungkook sighed while sitting on the chair near your bed, "I thought you had the idea why already," he simply replied. "Well, maybe I do have an idea." you told him. "But is my idea correct? Did you do it so I could go on missions without having a hard time sneaking out on my parents?"
"I guess. Mayhaps, I wanted to help you in a way." he shyly admitted, avoiding looking at your direction. "For real though? Why? What's in it for you?" you inquired, curious as to why he did such things to help you. "I don't know, maybe just because," was his curt reply. "Just because? What kind of answer is that? It doesn't make sense. I still want to know Jungkook," you probed.
"Maybe it's just because I can okay?" you looked at him still unconvinced. "Fine- maybe because I feel a little bad for you. You have boomer parents who still think you should stick to being a prim and proper princess, when we both know how much you want to be an amazing superspy too. And you already are," He told you, looking at you proudly. "But, I know how much you want to protect yourself and the people you love. I know that you love being a spy and going on missions. So maybe, that's why I made the whole fake dating show." He proclaimed.
"Okay...that seems comprehensible. You didn't have to do it, but you still did anyway. So I wanna thank you for that." you told Jungkook honestly. "Actually I was mad at first, I was confused about what your plan was. I didn't realize you were doing it for me. But when I did, I guessed it didn't seem so bad after all." you confessed looking at him shyly. "It's okay, I didn't tell you about it beforehand too. So I can understand why you were mad." he replied.
"Uh⌠yeah. Though, I'm still sorry for being rude. I guess we'll have to get along because we're partners now anyway." you suggested. "Okay, I guess we should try to be friends since we're partners now." Jungkook replied. Maybe being friends with Jungkook wouldn't be so bad.
đ
Your first official mission with Jungkook was at a nearby kingdom. It was reigned by the Kim family, and now ruled by their obnoxious tyrant son, Kim Seokjin. His beloved parents have been deceased for a few years now, that is why he's became king, and is doing whatever he wants with the land. Your mission is to teach him a lesson; and that is to learn how to share his wealth to his people. He doesn't care about anyone but himself. He's using up all the land's wealth for his selfish needs, and leaving his people to die of hunger and starvation.
Meeting King Seokjin was quite amusing. He didn't even spare you a glance as he sat on his throne, and looked at his face in his handheld mirror. He seemed to focus on his face only, quite a narcissistic trait. He also didn't seem to take you both seriously when you told him that he should change his ways- before it's too late. That is why you had no choice but to make him listen to you even if you had to exert a little force.
You had shot the wall near where he was sitting with your laser gun, (you also finally decided to bring a few gadgets just in case.) therefore catching his attention, finally. "What the hell? Are you deranged? Why did you do that you imbecile! You could've hit my beautiful face! I could have you killed for trying to scratch my gorgeous face you know!" King Seokjin exclaimed. "Well we had to get your attention you narcissistic king. You won't listen to us." Jungkook answered him for you.
"Stop acting like a spoiled child, and help your people. They need you." You retorted. "Who are you peasants to even tell me what to do?!! Actually, how did you both even get inside here? Guards!" the tyrant king screamed. "We're just people who were sent to teach you a lesson. Your guards are asleep if you must know. We kind of knocked them out, sorry about that your majesty." Jungkook quipped.
"Who are you heathens? I don't have time for your tomfoolery, so if it's money you want then just tell me how much and maybe I'll give you some." King Seokjin proclaimed. "We don't want any of your dirty money. What we want is that you learn how to share them with your people." You chided. "Share my money with commoners? What kind of ridiculous thing are you talking about? I'll never share my wealth with useless peasants! Never!"
"The useless peasants you called are the ones feeding you, and are the source of the food you eat. You don't even pay them for their rice and crops, you only know how to take but never give back." "I don't care what you say! I'm not sharing my money with slaves or anyone else even til I die!" he screamed. It seemed like he truly wasn't gonna cooperate or change his ways, so you had to resort to doing things by force yet again.
"Fine, you're really not gonna change? Then we'll just have to make you then." You announced to him. "Oh. please make me!" King Seokjin mocked. "Oh we really are, until you learn your lesson you selfish king." Jungkook retorted. And before he could reply or notice, you were both tying him up on his chair that he loves sitting on. And when he realized what you had done, it was too late and he couldn't move anymore. "What are you doing? Let me go! You'll pay for this you crazies!"
"I think we won't be paying for anything unlike you, your majesty. Now if you don't want us to carry you and leave you outside for the townspeople to beat up- you'll give us the money to pay your people." Jungkook demanded. "How dare you threaten me?! I'm not scared of you buffoons! And I'm not giving you any of my money! If you don't untie me this instant, you'll truly regret it! I promise you both!" He exclaimed. "I see you still won't cooperate with us, Okay. Let's go agent Fox."
Jungkook motioned for you to untie King Seokjin on the chair, only to tie him up again as Jungkook carried him down his throne. You were about to go out and leave him on the streets for the townspeople to beat up, when he suddenly screamed and begged you both not to. "Wait! Are you really gonna leave me out there to get beaten up?! Please don't! They'll ruin my beautiful face! Ok- Okay! I'll tell you where my money is and share them to my people! Just put me down please!"
"Are you seriously gonna help your people now? Do you promise?" Jungkook inquired. "Yes! Yes I promise! Now please put me down." King Seokjin replied. Jungkook put him back on his throne and you both waited for him to do what he promised. After getting some money from his secret vault, he then fulfilled his promise of paying the people he's been indebted with for so long. You both went with him to visit the townspeople he neglected and left to starve. Surprisingly, he paid them without so much fuss and no complaints from him. Even the townspeople were shocked at his sudden actions.
After giving the people the money they deserved, You were both surprised to be invited by the King for dinner. He explained that he wanted to thank you for making him realize his selfish ways, and he wanted to show you how grateful he was by letting you enjoy a good meal. Not wanting to be rude and mayhaps you were both kinda hungry too, you accepted his offer of dinner.
The dinner with the king went well. Mayhaps too well that is. You were just finishing your dessert when you felt a little light headed. You didnât wanna think about it too much and ignored it, but then you felt dizzy. You decided to ask Jungkook if he felt the same weird feeling you felt but when you looked at him sitting beside you he was already knocked out on the table. Something seems amiss. "Excuse me King Seokjin, there's something wrong with your food. Did you put something in it?" you asked struggling to stay conscious. You knew you were right, when you looked at the treacherous king. He was grinning. "Oh. Did I? It's such a shame you caught on too late my dear. Have a nice slumber!" You were really gonna kick his ass when you regain your strength. But for now you had no choice but to succumb to the darkness inviting you so enticingly. Your last memory being King Seokjin's taunting and laughing face.
You woke up confused and unsure of where you were, til you remembered the events of yesterday. The narcissistic king. The dinner. Jungkook. You guys blacked out. It was morning you guessed, but you couldn't really see anything since you had been blindfolded. Your other senses were more alert since you couldn't see, but you just wanted to feel if Jungkook was there with you. If he was near you. "Agent Bunny Are you here? Are you near me?" you called, you were glad the crazy king didn't tape your mouth to shut you up so you could call out for your partner. You were starting to get nervous because you didn't hear Jungkook respond right away. What if King Seokjin did something to him? Where did he take him?
You wanted to escape at that moment and find Jungkook, but you realized your hands were tied up. You couldn't do so much but try to thrash around and be free. Your gadgets were probably confiscated too, so you couldn't use them. You were still trying to escape when you heard a muffled sound that made you stop. Was it Jungkook? "Agent Bunny! Was that you? Are you okay? I'll get us out of here, don't worry!" Jungkook tried to reply, but of course all you heard was his muffled voice. You thrashed again as if it'll help you, when the traitor king made his presence obvious. "Oh you should worry. If you don't stop moving around, the rope that's holding you might snap. And you wouldn't want to know where you'll be falling into." he chided.
The rope that's holding you? What did he mean? Weren't you sitting down on a chair? Wait- is that why it feels weird and unstable? Are you⌠hanging in the air? Ballsacks. "Fine, since I'm feeling a little merciful today, I'll let your partner or is he your boyfriend? give you a little warning." the king said as he removed the cover on Jungkook's mouth, "Y/N- I meant- agent Fox! stop moving! The rope that's holding your chair is weak, If it snaps you'll fall into a piranha tank!" In Jungkook's haste to warn you, he forgot and called you by your real name again.
You didn't really mind his mistake that much right now, until the obnoxious king taunted you. "Wait- did I hear that right? Did your boyfriend just call you Y/N? Is that your name princess? It is isn't it? A dreadful name for a dreadful girl!" You weren't actually tasked to kill him but you just might. How dare he slander your name? Just he wait til you get out of here alive, you'll absolutely kick his ass! "Shut up you're the dreadful one Kim Seokjin! How dare you call her that, and insult her name!" Jungkook defended you.
"Yada yada. You're the one who should shut up. Do you want to be muffled again?" the king threatened your partner. "Let us go you foolish king! What do you gain from doing all of this anyway?" You inquired. "And what if I don't huh? What are you gonna do about it? Nothing! You can't do anything you tied up fools! You asked me what do I gain from this? A satisfying revenge! And now your boyfriend is gonna see you get eaten by piranhas, but he won't be able to do anything but watch." He retorted.
Of course it makes sense how Jungkook was able to see where you were right now, the king didn't blindfold Jungkook like he did with you. But he covered his mouth instead. "You're wrong, King Seokjin. I'm gonna save her and you can't stop me!" Jungkook screamed furious at the king. "And how are you planning to do that? You can't even get up from your seat. I'd tell you I'd like to see you try, but I've already wasted too much of my precious time for this nonsense." King Seokjin yawned seemingly to show his boredom and annoyance. "Guards! Pull the rope and bring her down." He ordered to them, but before they could pull the rope and feed you to the piranhas- a commotion happened.
And there stood, two people you didn't expect to see. "Our instructor was wondering where you two were ya know? Tsk. For supposedly being the best spies you two are getting rusty." Fiona the ogre looking princess said. "Anyway, sir told us to find you guys and save your asses, that's why we're here. I don't like you but sir asked us to save you both- so it's whatever." Fiona said as she got rid of the guards who were still trying to pull you down. Of course Agent Farquaad came with her too, and he was the one who helped untie Jungkook. Seokjin was still shookt at how his plans crumbled ever so quickly, that he just stood there mouth agape.
For the first time in your life, you were kinda relieved to see her. You finally got out of your restraints and you wanted to face King Seokjin right away, but Fiona's next words stopped you. "Now that we've saved you both, our job here is done. Though next time, try to do your job better idiots so we don't have to do it for you." she told you as they were about to go, you didn't have the time to get mad at her so you just ignored her, but before they actually did she told you one last thing. "Oh I almost forgot, there are rumors about rebels planning to attack this dumb king who hostaged you. They might be on the way here now. We'd love to help ya guys, but we have other rebels from another city to take care of. So ttyl!" and then she scurried off with her partner.
Well it's not like you can't fight the rebels yourselves, but an earlier warning would've been nice. You moved closer to Jungkook who was keeping an eye on the now submissive king. "So bunny, what's the plan now?" you inquired. "I guess we wait for them to arrive and defeat them all." was his reply. You nodded in agreement, of course that's what you're going to do.
The rebels arrived not long after, and it was quite a taxing battle, but nothing you weren't used to. They carried high tech weapons too, but you managed to steal some from them and use it on them. Just as one rebel almost shot King Seokjin, you managed to pull him to the side just in time and save his plumpous ass. To say he was shocked that you saved him, was an understatement. He was literally in awe that you still saved his life, even if he had tied you up and almost fed you to the piranhas.
The act was actually enough that he started to mayhaps have a change of heart. After a hundred butts kicked and a few exhausting hours later, you finally defeated the rebels. Police reinforcements came to collect most of them (because a few rebels always manage to escape) and took them to jail, meanwhile you've never wanted more but to get back home already and just lie on your bed for a month. Your partner looked exhausted too, but still undeniably handsome. Not that you'll ever admit that to him. You were actually missing home, even though it's only been a day. Your parents would probably- oh glob, your parents! They're probably worried sick now. You hope you'll still be allowed to go out after this.
You were so busy worrying if you'll get grounded, that you didnât notice the narcissistic King coming up to you. "Hey." He called out, breaking you out of your thoughts and surprising you. What did he want now? "I just wanted to say, thanks for saving me. You shouldn't have, but you still did anyway. And I'm sorry for everything. Promise, I'm being sincere this time." He seemed sincere with his apology, even though he couldn't really look you in the eye that well. You could say he was embarrassed? Or guilty? Maybe both. Still, you wanted to tease him and so you probed. "Are you really being honest now? Or is it another act of yours to deceive me again?"
"I'm being sincere this time I swear, I really felt awful about what I did to you. What I did to you both." he corrected. "I realized how selfish and crazy I've been, and I'm honestly sorry for that." "Well it's great that you realized your mistakes. I forgive you I guess, I don't wanna hold grudges for too long anyway." you replied. "Really? Thank you so much! I swear I'll prove to you that I'll change for real this time." he exclaimed getting your partner's attention, making him check up on you both in case something's wrong.
"Is everything alright with you two?" Jungkook asked. "Yeah bunny. He was just apologizing that's all." you replied. "Oh ok. Wait- he apologized? For real? How unbelievable." he then sent an accusing look at King Seokjin. "Yes he did. He seemed genuine so let's just let bygones be bygones." "Yeah. You sure he won't drug us to sleep again?" "Jungkook-"
"I won't. I should've never, it was truly wrong of me. I'm sorry for taunting you and for every wrong thing I've done. Believe me, I really do feel shitty for hurting you guys who saved me." King Seokjin heard your conversation and decided to apologize to Jungkook too. "If there's anything I could do to make it up to you guys, just please tell me. I'll do it in a heartbeat." "Hmm. Maybe there is something you could do." Jungkook suddenly had an idea.
đ
"Princess Y/N! Where have you been? we've been worried sick about you! Your mother couldn't sleep waiting for you!" Your father said when you finally arrived home. "Dad it was just a day, we were invited by our friend King Seokjin to stay for the night because it was getting late." you reasoned.
"King Seokjin? Is he the gorgeous man standing next to Jungkook right now?" your father inquired. "Yes dad," "Who is he? Why didn't you both tell us about him?" "He's our new friend, we helped him and he felt grateful so he made us stay for the night."
"It's amazing how you can plan quite a perfect lie my dear, you may have fooled your father- but we both know you can't fool me." the queen finally appeared. "So tell me Y/N, where were you really?" "Mom⌠I can explain-" "Were you at that spy academy of yours? Or going on those nonsense missions weren't you? I'm very disappointed in you Y/N. I thought you had quit being a useless spy. But of course, you had lied to me." she scolded you. You didnât know what hurt more, the fact that she was disappointed in you, or the fact that she thought and probably still thinks- you're a useless spy.
"She isn't a useless spy, she saved me for crying out loud!" you were surprised to see King Seokjin was actually defending you. Maybe he truly had changed. "It's true your majesty. She isn't a useless spy, in fact she's one of the best spies in our academy. She's one of the best spies I know." Jungkook added. "Spectacular, but I don't recall asking you both for your opinion. So I suggest you both stay out of this. King Seokjin it's nice to meet you but you can go home now. As for you Prince Jungkook, you should probably leave too. I had a feeling you influenced her, and I was right." the queen reprimanded.
"Jungkook didn't influence me! I wanted to be a spy on my own. I just don't understand why you won't let me. Do you not love me mom?" you exclaimed. "Enough Y/N! Not another word from you, or you'll be spending your whole life in your tower. You're grounded for a year, and that's final. Guards, escort Princess Y/N to her tower and make sure she stays there for a year." you can't believe your mother right now, she had done this before when she first discovered what you were doing in the academy, and now she's doing it again. "Darling, don't you think you're being a little too harsh on our daughter? Locked for a year in her tower? Isn't that quite too much-" the king interrupted but the queen silenced him. "No I'm not being too harsh on her, you're too lenient on her that's why she keeps being a brat. She needs to learn how to listen to me, I'm her mother and the queen after all.
You lashed out on some of the guards on the way to your tower, you were just so upset you couldn't believe it had come to this. You could've escaped them easily, but you didn't want to be disowned by your family. So you decided to take your punishment.
You scrolled through your phone for the nth time today, and you were bored. Luckily, she at least let you had your phone. You wanted to see if you had new missions to do, but you felt conflicted too, because you can't disobey your mother this time. You were just planning to take a nap again when a strawberry hit you on the face. You looked at your window to find out where the strawberry came from, and you were in awe to see it was your bunny prince on a drone airplane. "Jungkook? How did you- why are you here?"
"To get you out, of course. Who else would help you other than me?" he cockily said. "You didn't even tell me you were coming. Anyway, thanks for wanting to take me out of here, but I can't. Even if I really want to escape, I can't anymore Jungkook." you refused. "You can't or you shouldn't? I know you're afraid of disappointing your mother again baby, but I think she'll understand. Besides, I think she was just angry at that moment. She probably wants to let you go back to your room now."
Your heart warmed at his pet name for you, but you still can't agree to go with him. "Exactly, Kook. Maybe she'll want to end my punishment sooner, but what if she finds out I disobeyed her again? She'll be furious, and I don't want my punishment to be extended." "Well what if she doesn't find out? I'm sure she can't see me when I'm this high on the ground. And I promise I'll bring you back home before they check on you. Come on princess, do you really wanna stay here alone in your tower, for a year?" he persuaded. "I don't⌠but ugh, I hate you Jeon Jungkook. Fine, just let me get my stuff." you caved in. How were you supposed to say no when a guy as annoyingly handsome as prince Jeon asked you?
You hopped on the airplane drone and went away with your handsome prince. You and Jungkook just flew around the land, it was awe inspiring to look at the villages and people from above. When he finally brought you home you felt a little glum that the day had to end. You were relieved that you weren't caught by the queen though. You were relieved to have Prince Jeon with you. You texted your instructor about your current situation and why you can't go on missions for a while. He told you he understood, he truly is the best instructor.
Jungkook came to see you again the next day. He didn't take you away this time, he just stayed with you and you two talked all day. Jungkook visited your tower everyday, and you couldn't help but fall for him each passing day too. One night, the two of you finally shared your first kiss and it felt amazing. He didn't come back the next day though, which made you feel worried that he didn't feel the same way. Unbeknownst to you, he was actually planning how to get you out of your current situation- while he couldn't stop thinking about your kiss too.
"Y/N, it's been 3 months since you've been locked here in your tower. I don't mind visiting you but, don't you miss going on missions with me? Don't lie, I know you do. We need to get you out of here." Jungkook declared. "Jungkook is that why you didn't come yesterday? 'Cause you were planning my escape from here?" you inquired still a little upset, he didn't come to see you yesterday. "Yes actually. Why? Did you think about something else?"
"No⌠I just thought- nevermind it doesn't matter." "Of course it matters princess, tell me what's on your mind." he asked you moving closer to touch your cheek fondly. "I thought you didn't like our kiss⌠And that you thought it was a mistake. Am i right?" you asked honestly.
"No you aren't baby. I loved our kiss, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I'm sorry I made you think that way, I really was just busy pondering how to get you out of here. But I have a plan now, and that's why I'm here to ask you if you'll agree with it."
"You do? You have a plan? Why do I have a feeling it's gonna be chaotic⌠But fine- I wanna hear it anyway,"
"Run away with me."
Ballsacks, he's kidding right? Your Jungkook is kidding right?
đ
You made a decision that day that changed your life. You ran away with Jungkook and lived at his palace. You were finally free to go on missions without worrying about what your mother would say. Jungkook kept your existence at the palace a secret at first, putting you in a secret room no one else knows but him. But of course as all secrets do, all secrets will be revealed. His parents found out that you were now living with them, and they were shookt but thankfully they let you stay.
They advised you to tell your parents though, so your parents would stop worrying about you. You did tell your parents about your whereabouts, you missed them after all. But you also told them you couldn't live with them, if they can't accept you for being a spy. You only talked to your father, the king. As your mother didn't seem interested to talk to you. You hoped she'll accept you for who you are someday.
3 years passed and you've decided to return to the palace, your home. You're full of nerves as you're worried about how they'll react to you coming back, but also because you have an important thing to talk about to them. You had returned to inform and personally invite them to your wedding. Your relationship with Jungkook grew stronger over the years, and one lovely night he proposed to you, which you accepted of course. That's why you're now getting married and elated to be one with him.
You're with Jungkook as you faced your parents. They looked quite surprised to see your presence again after a few years. Your father smiled at you and he seemed happy to finally see you again. Your mother on the other hand, still looked indifferent as before. "My dearest princess, I'm so glad you came back." your father told you. "I'm happy to see you too, dad." you smiled at him. "Actually, I'm here- I mean we're here, because we wanted to tell you something very important. Jungkook and I are getting married."
They didn't seem surprised to hear that actually. You guessed they figured out why you came today. "We want to personally invite you to our wedding. It'd be great if you both were there." you added. "Of course we'll be there. It's a good thing we didn't have to push through with the arranged marriage we planned for you guys before. It's spectacular that you fell for each other naturally." the queen surprised you all when she replied. She didn't seem to mean it with malice but with all honesty.
"Wait- you were planning to make us have an arranged marriage?" you inquired, you weren't mad anymore just shocked that your parents had planned to wed you with Jungkook after all. "Yes. Well it was because Jungkook's parents are our friends, and your marriage would be great to strengthen our kingdom. We're sorry if the knowledge infuriates you now."
"It doesn't. I'm just surprised that's all. Anyway, mayhaps we're truly meant to be as I'm still marrying him now." you said quite fondly. "The preparations have started as the wedding is in 3 days, the stylists will come soon so please tell them if you need something. I already picked yours and dad's clothes, I hope you don't mind. Can I stay in my room for tonight? Jungkook can take the guest room." you asked. "Wait Y/N. I wanted to apologize for being a cruel mother to you." the queen's words stopped you. "I'm sorry for locking you in the tower which made you runaway from us."
"I'm sorry for not believing in you, I always knew you were a great spy- I just didn't wanna acknowledge it because I was scared of losing you. And I did anyway. I guess I'm just sorry for being a bad mom and for everything my dear. I hope someday you'll be able to forgive me." you could feel the queen's remorse through her words and facial expressions, and you realized there wasn't really anger anymore. You were just sad for the lost time. "Thanks mom, that's all I've ever wanted to hear. I just wanted you to be proud of me. And you aren't a bad mother, I understand now why you did those things. Though they're quite questionable, but I forgive you. I already did a long time ago." You hugged each other and were finally glad to be on good terms again.
đ°
Your wedding day came, and everything went perfect. You wore the loveliest wedding dress, and Jungkook wore the fittest suit. You only invited your close friends and family, you actually just wanted a simple wedding. The selfish but now kind King Seokjin, came too. Along with your fellow agents, Fiona and Farquaad. They all watched as you two sealed your newly formed union with a short but sweet passionate kiss.
After the glorious event, you were now inside Jungkook's room fidgeting and anticipating- what to do for the remainder of the night. You had just finished taking a relaxing bath, and were now dressed in your nightgown. Were you finally gonna do it with him after abstaining for years? Thoughts ran through your mind while waiting for Jungkook. He had to go somewhere for a bit because of some emergency prince duties. He was even busier now, that they want him to take over as the new king. But surely he'll make time for you on your wedding night right?
You were getting sleepy waiting for him when after a while, the knob to his door slowly turned. And then came your prince- and husband, the person you've been waiting for. "I'm sorry I took so long baby, the council and the advisors were just so-" "It's okay Kook, just come here and lie with me," you called. You didnât even realize the implications of your words until you said them, and you couldn't take them back. You blushed furiously at seeming so desperate.
"I will my love, I'm just gonna take a shower first, then I'll come join you in bed" he chirped. After Jungkook's long agonizing shower- (or it just seemed long to you, when he really didn't take that long) he finally joined you in bed. Though, you couldn't face him because you were so embarrassed of your daring words awhile ago, that you may or may not have meant. You pretended to be asleep, but of course Jungkook knows you too much to know you were just pretending. "I know you're awake baby, don't pretend to fall asleep on me now. Not when we haven't made love yet."
Jungkook's words made you a little wet, okay maybe a lot. How can he be so irresistible? You tried to take a peek at his face but failed miserably, as your attention went to his beautifully sculptured body. He was lying so close to you without any clothes on! You almost saw his dick if not for the sheets covering it. "Like what you see my love? I didn't put any clothes on yet, 'cause It would be stupid if I'm just gonna take them off in a bit. I've really been waiting for this night Y/N," he said, touching your back through your nightgown tracing your curves.
"I'm finally gonna claim you and make you mine, can I make love to you now my love?" Jungkook sincerely inquired, and you gave him your permission because you wanted him to. You wanted him to make you his and you wanted to make love with him too. And you showed how much you loved each other all through the night. You loved it when he treated you so delicately, and he wasn't in a rush. You loved it when he sucked your perky nipples until they were so sensitive and swollen. You loved it when he thrusted inside you while kissing you at the same time and holding your hand. You loved your partner in crime Jeon Jungkook, the most loyal agent and bunny in the world. Your prince and your husband. And you're pretty sure he loved you too.
And they loved happily ever after. Fin. đ§đťââď¸

THE POET OF THE COURT
âAlas my love you do me wrong
To cast me off discourteously;
And I have loved you oh so long
Delighting in your company.â
So was one of the more popular songs Damien, the sheikah poet used to sing for the court of Hyrule. Since he was a child, he always thought the queen was beautiful, and one of his goals was to sing in front of them just as he was now doing, and he did so since his father allowed him to acompany them at the age of twelve. The princess was a few years younger than him, but he always managed to find a nice lyric, story or poem to delight her with during special meals.
Even when he had to find some appropriate melody to her motherâs funeral, the sympathy he felt for the princess became more intense, as he felt the need to protect her from any harm, watching her child stoic self, and not allowing herself to cry in front of others. Was it perhaps his Sheikah blood, such as her guardian Impa, that he felt... whatever he was feeling...
Or maybe the songs he sang about romance were there for a reason, and from then on, every time he composed and sang, the princess came to his mind.
-âThat must be what love is about... an impossible love... such inspiringâ He told himself the moment he realised he just kept thinking a big percentage of the day on princess (goddess) Zelda, his muse. He didnât eat, he didnât sleep until he recognised on his heart that the love the songs described was little, compared to what he felt for his unreachable lady.
Or so he believed.
-âDamien! Could you keep playing that lullaby?â The princess asked him, it was already late and, as usual she kept working on her lab. Impa was half asleep sitting in a chair, and the princess was dissecting a peculiar full guardian arm.
-âYouâr request is my pleasure as always, your highnessâ He said as he played a guitar version of Zeldaâs lullaby. He loved when she called his name, it was like tasting honey.
-âYou know that you are not obligued to keep working this late, right?â Impa told him, they knew each other since childhood, they were neighbours in Kakariko village, and their families also had a long friendship. Despite Impaâs parents and grandparents dedicated themselves to train in the arts of fighting as successors and guardians to the royal family, and all of Damienâs family were dedicated to music and served the royal family also.
-âItâs an honor to contribute to the princess investigationsâ he said as he began to play a different song, secretly this song was composed to express his feelings to the princess, it was a waltz he thought it would be better played with an accordion, but the violin gave it a soft and nice tone itself.
-âSuch nice melody! I like when you play the violin alsoâ The princes said, her hands were stained with oil from the guardian and half her face too. -âIt always helps to have music, I think I can concentrate betterâ
-âPrincess Zelda, Itâs past midnight, we should get you to have a bath and prepare for tomorrowâ Impa pleadingly asked, as she was tired herself.
-âI... Why canât you come with me?! Instead of that perfect knight or whatever?!â Zelda left a heavy piece on the table, making a loud noise, Damien perceived her annoyance.
-âPrincess... we already discussed it... it was a direct order from the Kingâ
-âImpa! Or you could come along! I donât think I need a knight to follow me around, itâs such a nonsenseâ
-âIf I could be of any help, princess, Iâd gladly contributeâ
-âThanks Damien, itâs just that I must part to the four regions to investigate the divine beasts, and my father insisted on me going with a knight he selected, instead of just me going alone...or with Impaâ she said looking at her reproachingly.
âMo! Princess! I told you already, all of us Sheikas are required to help with thecnology investigation, it could be an important part to defeat calamity... besides the sacred sword selected himâ
-âDivine beasts are more important ! But my father is... worried that I canât wake my power in time ..., so I must hurry, if I want to be able to pray to the goddess and have the Goron,Orni, Zora and Gerudo help with the beasts at the same time...â
-âI could come along if you allow me to, besides I havenât been required in court for a whileâ Damien shyly suggested.
-âCould you do that?!â Zelda took his hands firmly, surprised the young Sheika blushed entirely, retreating himself from her.
-âIâm sorry... itâs just...â the princess began to apologise, it was a rush, but she liked the idea of going with a friendly face.
-âPlease donât apologise your highness, of course Iâd love you... Iâd love to go along with you...â he said stuttering a bit. Impa gave him a suspicious glance.
-âIâm watching you Damien, donât try anything funny!â Impa said pointing at him with the guardianâs leg, and the three of them began laughing.
His hands were now also stained with oil. If he could, he wanted to keep them unwashed forever.
The knight was already waiting in the hall. He wasnât a very tall man, even Damien was taller. He couldnât help but compare himself to the boy, he seemed to be like his age, yet he had imagined a big and musculous guy, but instead there was this young man with an innocent and serious face, if he could say so.
Not that Damien considered himself ugly, even some girls had flirted with him, not because of his manly appearance, but because he took good care of his fragile self. Being a court musician didnât involve much physical activity, yet he was trained in the proper way of the sigilous Sheikah. Demian had just packed some sheikah snaks, and of course his violin as well, it was better for travelling, the guitar would be heavy to carry.
The princess went down the stairs, and without even looking at Link, she went out her way, greeting Damien. Link bowed politely, getting on one knee.
â-Are you ready, master of music?â
-âOn this tempestuous day,
Let me, beautiful princess
Show you all the wayâ
-âHow is it you always have a verse?â She smiled and kept on going to the exit of the castle.
LINKâS POINT OF VIEW
He arrived early this morning. Rumour was that he was soon to be named the appointed knight for the princess officially. Yet now, the king entrusted him with the safety of his daughter travelling to the Rito Village. He used to be relaxed, but since that event where he obtained the master sword, he felt every one was watching him, so he was restless... âWas he good enough to carry the sword that repels the darkness?â Since childhood legends told that the hero would rise against evil, he used to love that stories, now he felt anxious about them, as he never imagined he would actually get to BE the hero himself.
A sheikah arrived and seemed to be waiting for something or someone. It was odd he carried a violin and Link felt observed. He nodded as a greeting.
The princess came downstairs. She was as beautiful as he remembered, and she had quite developed womanly features, Link scolded himself because of this thought, after all she was to become his Queen someday, so he owned every respect he could muster. Quickly he got in one knee and greeted her silently. After he stood up, he saw the princess happily greet the man with the violin, and how he took her hands and told her some words that made her smile.
âWhy was he so close to the princess?â That though left his envious side arise, yet he had being training on not letting his emotions show anymore, after all, he had to be seen as a true hero chosen by the sword.
End of LINKâs POV
They began walking, followed by the knight and three more knights her father assigned to scort her. Damien thought that the sweet princess had also a different and more dark side, as she ignored and diminished the presence of the appointed knight, it was more than evident that she didnât enjoy or even wanted his presence around her. Damien wanted to know every side of her, even the wrong sides.
The fact that the knight hadnât said a single word about it was more entangling.
It was almost noon, they went on horse all the way, and only stopped to feed the horses and have a snack themselves. Zelda mainly spoke with Damien, as he also improvised some verses for her, and the other knights were entertained during meal by him. Link stood behind, always vigilant of the surrounding.
They went back on the horses, and when they got to Carock bridge Zelda looked at the map again.
-âSo, I think that the way to Tabanta is this way to the north.â
Damien wasnât sure, he barely traveled back and forth from Kakariko village, he had seen once or twice an orni merchant, but he was confident that the princess had the map with her.
-âItâs notâ
A voice sounded from behind. Link had spoken. He had a soft and somehow masculine voice.
-âSpeak, Link? Was it your name?â
-âThe shortest way to Rito village is to the left. Unless you want to go trough the tundra, that would take us...â
-âWeâll take northâ she interrupted him, not wanting to hear more of the chosen knight. And her horse obeyed the command to go north. Time after she would regret this decision.
-â... one more day...â he finished his sentence with a whisper. The other knights looked at him.
-âWell, if we are with you Link, I bet no monster would scare the sh** out of meâ
The other knight scolded him for swearing, after all the princess may have heard them.
THIS WAS MEANT FOR A ONE SHOT, but the story kept on going đŹ. Hope you enjoy it, Zelink story to the bones, and some jealousy involving the poet of the court (Main witness of Zelink) THANKS to Greenie for the name of the poet đ

Blackheart, Chapter 32: Tarnished Legacy
What was once a lightly guarded square was now a plaza crammed full of countless soldiers, men wearing colorful uniforms, suited in plates of armor, dressed in little more than padded cloth, and everything in between. From the commoners to the kingâs retinue, everyone pooled into the city, though still very many were outside the walls, seeing as the plaza couldnât fit them all.
Above them, resting on walls and rooftops, the three dragons sat around them, casting large shadows onto the crowd below. Their eyes silently appraised each member of this massive army, as their massive forms inspired awe throughout the plaza.
At the forefront of this mass of troops, the commanders all gathered, waiting to make contact with the leaders among the locals. Their wait came to an end as Alexander marched into the plaza, shield in hand.
He was once more armored, covered head to toe in protective steel plate. His visor was opened for the time being, eyes locked on the figure at the head of the crowd.
He had seen him before, though only a scant few times.
âPrince William!â the knight called out, stepping up to the gathered crowd. Though the soldiers were chattering among themselves, the sight of the citizens of Palethorn approaching gave them pause. They knew what this meant.
It was time.
The prince was sitting atop a warhorse, heavily plated and large. He too was wearing a suit of armor, though he had a royal coat over his own, along with an open-face helmet that was adorned with a circlet. Beside him a few others in armor sat atop horses. Captains, commanders and other knights most likely.
âAh, Alexander. You truly brought us this far?â
âIt wasnât just me.â
The prince shook his head as he looked at the knight. âRemarkable. Truly remarkable. You really are Geralthinâs Finest, arenât you?â
âIt wasnât so much my superhuman efforts as it was a string of lucky coincidences. If Charles didnât happen to find his way to us, and if the dragons hadnât aided us when they didâŚâ
âItâs fine to be proud of something, Alexander,â William assured him, âYou can accept praise, you know.â
Alexander put a hand on his sword hilt, remaining stoic. âIâm not downplaying my own contributions. Iâm only making sure my friendsâ work isnât attributed to me.â
The prince laughed. âCome now...do you really think you didnât cause all this?â
âI DID cause this. I brought the idea of traveling the city in teams. I battled demons and corrupted wherever I could. I worked very hard...but itâs not the whole story. Countless times I would have failed without the others.â
âAh, so youâre merely the leader among the heroes? Good to hear you can admit that, at least.â
Alexander shook his head. âI never said I was a hero. Iâm a knight, and knights are soldiers. Damn good soldiers, but still soldiers, and nothing more. Fancy armor and noble crests are just to distract you from the fact theyâre in the same bloody business as the levies.â
William raised a brow. âYouâre, uh...youâre an interesting one, Alexander. Whatever the case is, enough of this. Letâs talk business.â
The knight nodded. âIâve been over this with the others. The main streets are where theyâre congregated. The main streetâs also what leads straight to the Blackheart, the portal to the underworld.â
Williamâs mouth hung open at those words. Alexander frowned. âDid, uh, no one tell you?â
The prince shook his head. âN-no...no, they didnâtâŚâ
âWell, thatâs where theyâre coming from. To destroy it, I need to go inside and destroy the artifact that tethers the portalâs magic to our world. Once thatâs done, the whole thing should cease to exist.â
âAnd after that...this all ends?â
Alexander nodded. âThe demons will have no way to come back. Theyâll be trapped in their realm and our two worlds will be separated once again. Their magic should dissipate without their influence...or be able to be easily dispelled by the priests, at the very least.â
âI see...so thatâs it, than. Just get there.â
âRight. I imagine theyâll stop at nothing to keep us out, so...Iâll need you and your men to pull enough attention away and hold the line while we go in and destroy it.â
William nodded. âIt seems we have the easier of those tasks. Very well, weâre ready when you are.â
âAlright...assemble the men, than. We go on the march.â
The mob of an army quickly shifted and turned as William and the other knights began to fan out and shout orders. The soldiers ran like mad, scrambling into position and filing into their assigned places. After several minutes the mob had quickly turned into a much more professional looking force. They stood in lines, one after the other, in rows and rows, in neat columns and standing silently, their weapons at the ready. They looked like a proper army now.
The pikemen took up the front line, with archers and crossbowmen behind them. A common tactic.
Normally, The archers and other skirmishers would be ahead of the infantry for better shots, then fall back behind the front line when the enemy approached. They would stand in very wide lines, with cavalry and knights on the sides, ready to fold in on the enemy. That was the way the Geralthin army fought.
That was on the field, however. Where you COULD stretch your lines out, had the space and organization to shuffle your lines, and wheel around the flanks.
In an urban environment, in narrow streets and winding alleys, that just wasnât possible. They wouldnât be able to create large enough gaps to allow a swift shuffling of unit positions.
The knights dismounted their horses, seeing as they wouldnât be doing any maneuvering or charging with them. They formed up in the line, away from the front. The commanders had agreed that as the best soldiers they had, they should be reserved for when the time came to distract the demons. If anyone had a chance at holding long enough, it was them.
Though the lines stretched back outside the city, not everyone was taking their spot there. As the citizens, koutus and dragonoids scattered off into the city, William gave Alexander a questioning look.
âOur...flight inclined friends will be using the environment to their advantage. Weâll be getting rooftop support, bowmen and magicians. Having access to such flanking positions and high ground will be invaluable in our push.â
âI see. A solid plan.â
âThe dragons will be offering support as well. With the might of so many raining down on them, itâs my wish that the corrupted will be shattered.â
The princeâs eyes narrowed. âRight. Well, then...letâs not keep them waiting.â
Alexander flipped his visor shut before pulling out his sword. âIndeed. Your highness...get into position.â
As the captains, knights and other commanders dispersed among the lines, Alexander waited patiently until they were all standing ready. Beside him, the others stood. Razorwing, Crux, Leianna, AndricâŚ
The group made their way into the army. They set up slightly behind the front line, in the middle of one of the many rows. With their group together, ready to participate as needed and determined to reach the demonsâ source, Alexander called out as loudly as he could.
âMen! I have brought you here to fight! I have brought you here to bleed! I have brought you here with the knowledge that you will be facing some of the worst monstrosities men have bore witness to! I have brought you here with the understanding that there is a fair chance many will not be coming home!â
He paused to emphasize the meaning of his words. âBut...I do not lead carelessly. I do not lead heartlessly. I do not throw my men into a slaughter! I have you brave these terrible risks for two very important reasons. Firstly, I would not hesitate to do the same. I will risk my own life as readily as I would risk my mensâ.â
The silence as he paused again filled him with uncertainty. Still, he put on as much confidence as he could in his speech.
âSecondly...take a moment to look at this city. Look at the ruins. Look at the death, devastation and darkness. See the pure evil of demonkind manifesting itself in the fog surrounding this city! To you, this may seem a tragedy, even a nightmare. To the demons...it is only the beginning. This is nothing more than the initial invasion. Once they have their forces properly assembled, they will surge out of the city, and into the rest of the kingdom. They will slaughter all, and spread their darkness with each step they take. In due time, this will become Genmere. This will become every city, castle, and village in the known world.â
Flags waved violently in the harsh winds as the forces stood in place. Alexander continued.
âMen...if I did not bring you here, if we fail, if we let them win...this will not be Palethorn. This will be Geralthin. This will be the entire world. Every inch of Godâs earth will grow sick and die. All will be slaughtered, broken and turned into them. None will ever see the sun again. The earth will split open, and our world shall become one with the underworld.â
The knight raised his voice even higher as he called to them. âMen...women...fine soldiers and brave volunteers...what will you do? Are you going to let them succeed? Are you going to stand by and watch as your parents, your friends, husbands and wives, children, everyone youâve ever loved are mutilated and flayed by these unholy abominations?! Are you going to stand by and let the home be burned to cinders?! Are you going to let the entire world be swallowed in darkness?!â
âNO!â The screams were fierce and unified.
âYou cannot run. You cannot surrender. This is our only chance, our WORLDâS only chance at salvation. This is no mere battle...this is the fate of all life. This is where your families and friends rely on you to hold, no matter what happens! This, is destiny!â
He made sure to fill his voice with passion, and a twinge of desperation as he wrapped everything up. âHere, is where we stand! Here, is where we plant our feet and fight back. HERE, is where we cry âNO MORE!â as we stand against all evil. Here, is where we refuse defeat, for if we accept it, than all life is lost...and I know you, heroes of Geralthin, would NEVER allow that to happen!â
Cheers rang out around him, roars and raised weapons surrounded the knight. It worked. They understood the gravity of the situation. They were now ready and eager for the battle ahead.
âUnits, on my order! The time has come! The battle draws near!â He waited for the cheers to die down and for the soldiers to start listening closely before he opened his mouth and bellowed as loudly as he could.
âUNITS! MOVE OUT!â
As soon as he gave the order, the plaza was filled with cries of âAye!â, and after a short pause, everyone began to march forward in unison. Loud, synchronized bootstomps came in waves as all the columns sprung to life.
As the knight stepped forward, as he looked around and saw himself as part of an army on the march, he realized this was it. The battle had begun, and there was no turning back now.
He had to make it count. This was their only shot. Their ONLY shot.
âGood luck, Basilrin!â Gira called, looking back for a moment before ascending above the army and flying away.
The young dragon took a moment to watch the other go before following. âWe must protect the army!â he called out.
âBasilrin, move with caution!â Aurelio shouted, quickly following after him. With the three dragons moving ahead of the army, the birdmen on the rooftops began jumping and flying, moving from one rooftop to the next as they fanned out to screen the area.
Marching down the main street was not something Alexander had done before. The winding back streets and cramped alleyways were a far cry from this wide, open road. While not exactly a highway designed to allow massive armies swift passage, the comparatively large size of it allowed several dozen men to fit in each row. Still packed tight in squares, they marched on.
The first resistance made itself known. After several minutes on the march, a few corrupted turned to face themâŚand were quickly cut down by a hail of firebolts and arrows from the rooftops.
They were lucky to have them. While the enemyâs numbers were trifling at the moment, Alexander knew those were just a couple of stragglers...the enemy proper would be no easy fare.
The army marched ahead, passing the now fallen foes as they continued on. Soon enough, they could see it. In the distance, the streets were teeming with them, those corrupted beasts. They stood in mobs, blocking off the armyâs continued march to the Blackheart. There was barely any elbow room between each of the beasts, ranging from wolves to birds to lizards and all others. The majority of those who fall during the invasion...they had remained here, all this time.
The massive horde let out a bellowing cacophony of screams, high in pitch before surging towards the army. Of course, this was swiftly followed a combined firing effort by both the army and rooftop division. A hail of projectiles flew from the front lines of the army, as well as all around the corrupted from above.
So many found their marks, the hail causing a great many to fall where they stood. Despite the dozens of corrupted collapsing to the ground, more simply took their place. The unending, gathering swarm rushed forward, stepping over those who had just fallen and moving towards the army.
The archers all readied more arrows, while the crossbowmen lowered their weapons and began to turn the cranks, preparing to load the next volleyâŚ
None of these things were necessary. After a few more arrows and bolts of magic flew into the crowd, the dragons descended, crushing most of the beasts immediately.
Aurelio slammed his claws down into the crowd, crushing several more. Gira stomped through the crowds while Basilrin flew forward, breaking off to engage the corrupted further ahead.
The three dragons were rapidly moving up the streets, and Alexander could tell what that meant.
âUNITS, DOUBLE TIME!â
The army picked up their pace all of the ranks breaking into a unified jog as they ran after the dragons. They were clearing the way for them, so that they could reach the Blackheart unimpeded.
The soldiers were slowed down by the piles of corpses that, in many places, they had no choice but to walk over. Their grim march was surprisingly light of mood despite the circumstances.
They hadnât even closed into actual combat yet. They had âskirmishedâ with an entire enemy army, before the dragons promptly destroyed them.
This...could be much worse.
Marching on, the army trudged through a sea of corpses, all crushed, sliced and ripped apart. The now uneven terrain of bodies slowed them, and they could hear the roars of the dragons further ahead, occasionally catching glimpses of Gira or one of the green dragons flying up before crashing back down into the hordes.
The koutu flew ahead, their rooftop team deciding to help scout now that the danger of the corrupted seemed to be under control.
Minutes passed by, the march growing increasingly strange for the army. Here they were, supposed to be fighting, when instead they were marching down a road, trampling over corpses for miles, following the distant roars of dragons and shrieks of dying beasts.
Alexander noted something familiar as the march went on. In the far distance, off of the main roads and to the north of the city...they were passing a massive hole that rose above the other buildings with ease.
The cave. The cave they got trapped in. The cave whereâŚ
The knight tightened his grip on his sword.
Theyâll pay. Theyâll all pay.
They were getting further in now. As they moved on, stomping over the increasingly thick piles of dead corrupted, A sight none had ever laid witness to struck them with awe.
There, on the horizon, reaching far above the buildings and touching the skyline itself, a massive archway sat among the city. Within those two arches...a dark, wavy mist sat, flowing within the confines of the opening.
The Blackheart. The source of demonkind and the target they had been seeking all this time.
âMove, move!â Alexander bellowed, the army group once more moving into a brisk run as they attempted to rush through the piles of fallen.
âFinally...finallyâŚâ
Alexander turned to see Senci beside him, muttering quietly to himself.
âYou alright?â
The koboldâs voice was low. âMore than alright. Itâs finally time.â
The knight frowned. âWhat are you talking about?â
âItâs all come to this. THIS is why I was born. Why master took me to the humans. Why I was brought to this accursed city. Finally, I can be worth something.â
Worrying speech from a friend.
âEasy, Senci. Youâve got your whole life ahead of you.â
âYeah.â
The knight smiled. âWeâll make it through this. Just stick close. As long as we work together everything should turn out for the best.â
Senci only grunted in response.
It was quite worrying. He didnât exactly have the time to sit here and give the young warrior a pep-talk, but if he did something rash...it could have disastrous consequences.
As they moved forward, the three dragons all emerged from the city and quickly flew back towards the army. Along with them, the koutu also took flight, and hopped along the rooftops in an effort to return to the army.
Before he could even ponder what would cause such a response, the sight of several, new beasts taking to the skies after them. These creatures varied greatly in size, color and shape, but their twisted auras and unholy wings all pointed to a singular answer.
Demons.
All of them were nothing like the corrupted, most of them various shades of red and purple, though black too was among them.
As the demons soared forward, yet another massive surge of corrupted came down the street, filling in for the countless already slain. They must have killed several thousand already. It was incredible to imagine so many still remained.
Was this why the city was desolate and full of only straggling groups of corrupted? The demons must have amassed them here to protect the Blackheart...the Blackheart, that they WOULD reach.
âUNITS, FIRE AT WILL!â
A volley of arrows and bolts launched from the front lines of the army, flying towards the distant monsters. They were quite far away, enough so that it was hard to see the damage the bowmen had inflicted. Everyone began loading their weapons again, but in the air a new battle was already underway.
The dragons wheeled about and began throwing themselves at the demons, the two forces more than a match for one another. Despite the great size and might of the dragons, the demons too were powerful, and worse yet, numerous.
The winged terrors dodged swipes from the dragons and retaliated with swings of their weapons, from greatswords to maces, all gnarled and evil looking.
The army fired another volley at the approaching corrupted, while the koutus above them fired upon the demons, hoping to pull enough attention away from the dragons to overwhelm the monsters.
It was a tactic that seemed to pay off.
Just as one of the demons pulled back to deliver a devastating cleave to Basilrin, a volley of arrows caused the beast to cry out in pain, before the dragon reeled back and slammed his tail into the demon, causing it to crash back to earth. The monster slammed into the streets below, well and fully dead.
The army meanwhile, had been firing volley after volley at the approaching corrupted. While they had been very far away, they also moved with inhuman speed, and in a very short time the gap had nearly been closed.
âPIKES, BRACE!â
The pikemen at the front lines lowered their pikes, squeezing themselves so that they were shoulder to shoulder, forming a massive wall of death for the fiends before them.
No one charged a pike line head on. It was suicide. They whittled away at it with skirmishers, or tried to flank it, or even simply avoided it.
The corrupted had no tactical, or even common sense. The maddened monsters charged, virtually throwing themselves upon the steel ends of the pikes. The corrupted slammed into the front line, the first rows of them dying almost immediately.
As the row of beasts behind them pushed forward, they actually moved the corpses of the fallen further onto the pikes, in turn giving themselves enough room to be impaled.
The rows behind the front thrust their own pikes forward, the soldiers behind them also managing to stab and impale corrupted as well.
The wall held well, especially as the crossbows and archers continued firing over the front line and into the ranks of the corrupted, still pushing and shoving in an attempt to reach the enemy. A few even began climbing over each other as their bloodlust grew more frantic.
Eventually, the carnage grew too great. So many lay upon pikes that several pikemen actually lost the ability to stab the enemy, their weapons burdened with corpses that kept the sharp end covered under the padding of the dead.
Several of the corrupted climbed over the lines and over the now ineffective pikes, one of them leaping forward and throwing itself onto the soldier carrying the weapon. A soldier beside him lowered his pike and took out a shortsword, stabbing the beast atop the other soldier in the back.
In a few more places the corrupted managed to push into the line proper, but the going was so for them, and their numbers bled dearly for it. With the help of the crossbowmen, the holes beginning to show in the front line were effectively plugged, with any gaps full of corrupted being showered in bolts, refilling with enemies and being cleared out again when they finished reloading.
Eventually, the corrupted were cut down, the final few of them collapsing onto a pile of corpses so great in number that it could double as defensive cover.
With a shout from Alexander, the crossbows turned their attention to the sky. Combining their might with the rooftop archers, the great volleys of projectiles overwhelmed the skies, many demons falling even as they continued to do battle with the dragons. Eventually, they fell to earth, the last of them gone.
âThatâs not the end...thereâll be more ahead. MOVE OUT!â
Alexander and his forces climbed over the mountains of dead, and continued moving towards the Blackheart. He hadnât even bothered to check for casualties, but he was in such a rush to reach his objective that be figured they could check later.
It wasnât too long before the army reached an important point in their journey; the main plaza.
Unlike the entrance plaza in the far west, this was the beating heart of the city. Where parades were held and markets were set up. This open plaza was truly massive, befitting such a populated city. So great was its size, that the army could widen their lines to a much more comfortable degree, enough for them to effectively and properly fight in the ways they best knew how.
With a single order, they moved into the plaza, stretching their lines so that they stood from one end to the other, and moving in further to allow as much as the army as possible in to assist in the fight.
It was just as they set up that the floodgates opened. Corrupted moved from every single street entrance before them, at least six blocks of them all pouring in from different directions.
They pooled in the plaza and rushed forward, moving to meet the front line yet again. This only further cemented the idea to Alexander that the demons really had brought everyone they had ever corrupted up for this battle.
Demons too emerged. From winged demons in the sky once again clashing with the dragons to those on foot leading the corrupted, at least a hundred were spread around the crowds and up in the sky.
Bolts and arrows filled as much as the air as the demons did. As the demons fell and others fought, a few seemed to have a different idea of what to do.
One dove down past the front line and straight into the middle of the horde of soldiers. Quickly, everyone there moved to attack, with the surrounded demon cleaving a bloody swathe with his blade before being overwhelmed. As his head was severed, the others looked to tend to the men he had cut down.
Just as they did this, Gira flew by, taking a deep breath and blowing out onto the crowd. A great many were quickly consumed by the light magic.
In a moment, those soldiers the demon had almost killed sprung back to their feet, grabbing their weapons and regaining their bearings.
Gira was offering magical support, occasionally flying by the soldiers and coating them with her healing breath, a magic thought to be exclusive to white dragons.
With the front line established, and both sides commiting what appeared to be their entire forces, Alexander came to a final conclusion. The Blackheart was just a few blocks downâŚ
He rallied the others, tapping at Senci and calling to the rest around him. âFollow me,â he said sternly, and soon they were withdrawing.
As they reached the back of the line and exited the plaza, Alexander gave command over to Prince William, also pulling a few spearmen and swordsmen from the rear. The small group moved around the side streets and around the plaza.
Their goal was to move past the front line and to the Blackheart, bypassing the enemy while they were distracted with the army.
It wasnât long before they ran into some corrupted. The spears moved up and cut them down as they came, but it was only the beginning. As they steadily advanced, Wurie spoke up.
âI donât like this.â
âWhat do you mean?â Alexander probed.
âThe survivors...theyâre with the army. It doesnât feel right for me to leave them.â
His fellow guard from the city, still with the main force.
âHead back, if you want. Weâll return once the Blackheartâs destroyed.â
âTruly?â
Alexander nodded. âOf course. You want to be with your men, go ahead.â
The wolf hesitated.
â...very well. God protect you.â
âWeâll see you on the other side,â the knight answered back, and as the captain left to return to the army, the others continued on.
He gave the order to hold as he and the rest of the group moved ahead of the small army detachment, wishing to take only those that had agreed to journey to the underworld with him. It wouldnât be right to subject the average soldier to such a thing.
With the Blackheart nearly in their reach, Alexander ran forward before hearing the shrieks of monsters behind him. He turned to see the corrupted flooding in from a street that led to the plaza, pouring onto the small line of soldiers and threatening to decimate them.
There was hardly even a pause before Andric turned and spoke quickly.
âThey need my help.â
He offered a shout of âGO!â before rushing back to the army. After a pause, he followed up with âRemember what I said, Senci!â
The group hurried out of the street as Andric slammed into the back line of the corrupted, consuming several of them in divine magic.
The crew moved on, Alexander looking over to the kobold for a moment.
âWhat did he say, Senci?â
âTo be safe.â
There wasnât much Alexander could think to say. There were so closeâŚ
Just as it seemed the final hurdle was at hand, a figure landed in the street before them.
It rose from the ground, the brute pausing to grin at them.
âI told you I would be back.â
At first, Alexander didnât know what the beast was talking about. As he thought on it however, it all came flooding back to him.
The demon from the cave. The demon that was about to begin corrupting Tourthun before they arrived.
âYou!â the knight snarled.
âHeheheh...what a shame about your friend. My only regret is that you missed it.â
That did it. Alexander rushed forward, the demon evading his sword swing with ease. He stepped back and dodged as the demon swung his own sword back, the pair engaged in a fierce battle for their lives, and the lives of everyone around them.
The demon rushed forward and grabbed the knight by the throat. Before he could do anything however, the others forced him back.
With so many battling him, he seemed to be on the losing side. Still the demon evaded hit after hit, even slamming Leianna into a wall with a well placed kick.
Razorwing and Cruxâs arrows and bolts flew past him. It seemed demons had a near precognitive sense about projectiles...almost, at least. One of Razorwingâs arrows found its mark, and soon a bolt from Cruxâs crossbow lodged itself into his shoulder.
The group was far more experienced in battling demons then when they had first met this brute.
A few wild swings and dodges kept him on his feet, until Senci finally shoved his sword into the demonâs side. It roared out, only for Leianna to swing her mace with enough force to shatter bone...slamming right into the demonâs stomach.
As it reeled back, Alexander brought his sword to the monster, impaling it on his blade. The demon rasping and lying limply against the sword hilt, the knight leaned forward, eyes glaring at the beast.
âThat was for Tourthun, you filth. He may rest easy now.â
âRest easyâŚ?â the demonâs question trailed off, and the monster began to laugh, it's dark chuckles striking fear into the group. âHe...has no such pleasure.â
âWhat does that mean?!â Alexanderâs question wasnât answered, the demon offering only a dark grin before crumpling lifelessly onto the blade, his body giving out for good.
âAnswer me!â
The demon was tossed to the ground in a heap, the knight nearly spitting on it as he passed by. Whatever the case may be, they had to fulfil their mission.
Turning down another street, the pillars loomed over them. With just one final block to go, they turned onto the next street and there, in the distanceâŚ
The portal sat in the middle of a small market square. The pillars of what appeared to be blackened stone of some kind still had the dark mist flowing between them. It made a bizarre, unholy noise that was taxing on the ears.
What truly grabbed Alexanderâs attention however, were the demons.
There were a great many still here, possibly guarding against anyone who slipped past the corrupted army. They stood silently against the backdrop of the portal to hell.
Alexander ducked back behind a wall as he looked at the others. He had only one thing in mind, and a single way to do it. He whispered the plan to them.
âMake a break for the portal. Whoever makes it can break the artifact. Anyone else...do what you can. Cover whoever makes it.â
Everyone nodded, not a voice rising to object.
âWhatever happens...itâs been an honor. Are you ready?â
Everyone else nodded once more.
âVery well. On my markâŚâ
The knight lowered himself, ready to break into a sprint at a moments notice.
âGO!â
They bolted, all of them. The clanking of armor and heavy thuds of footsteps rang out as the group that had made it so far rushed towards their last objective.
The demons spotted them quickly as they approached. It was when this sprang into action that Alexander lost control of the situation.
This was no longer a coordinated team. This was a collection of men and women running like hell, and whatever happened happened.
The knight took a sharp turn to the side, evading a demon reaching out to him. All around him, demons ran after him, the man blazing a trail with every fiber of his being.
Crux suddenly found himself cut off, surrounded by several of the fiends. As soon as he noticed he was no longer beside him, Razorwing stopped and looked back, seeing the bounty hunter backed into a corner.
Without a momentâs hesitation, the koutu launched into the air and over the demons, landing beside Crux. The human looked surprised that the hero had come back to fight at his side, but that shock quickly passed.
The pair looked at one another with narrowed eyes before nodding in unison, launching into action. Both of them fired on the demons as the monsters rushed towards them.
One of the demons grabbed Leiannaâs arm, earning a crushing mace blow to the face for its efforts.
Lexius ran desperately, while Senci ducked and ran straight under several of the demons.
Charles got grabbed by one of the demons and fell to the ground. He snarled and shot a bolt of ice in the face of his assailant before getting up, but by now he had fallen behind, and the demons cut off his path.
Alexander could see the portal, the Blackheart, right in front of him, getting closer with each pounding step. He reached forward as it came to meet him, andâŚ
A blinding light and a feeling of distortion and illness signaled the passage of space. After a few moments of this, Alexander opened his eyes as he regained his senses.
He was kneeling in front of a massive hallway, made of blood-red stone and etched with indistinguishable markings in a language he had never seen before.
Behind him was the portal, though from the unholy, interior locale he was in, he could only come to one conclusion; this was the other end.
He was in the underworld.
It took him a moment to realize there were figures beside him. The others too had made it, it seemed. They were also clutching at their heads and reorienting themselves from the harsh passage.
âEveryone...alright?â Alexander managed.
âY-yeahâŚâ Leianna answered back, groaning.
The knight rose to his feet, taking a deep breath and looking around. âWho...who made it?â
By his side was Leianna, Lexius and Senci. The three of them looked around as well.
âRazorwing and Crux didnât make it...neither did Charles,â Lexius noted.
Alexander shook his head. âWe have to move, before they come after us.â
âRight.â
The four of them began to hurry down the hallway, moving towards an opening at the far end. At that end, they could see something, but couldnât quite make it out.
âThis is it...this is the end,â Alexander muttered, clutching his sword and shield tightly.
As they approached, the objected became more clear. It was a massive pilliar, almost like an obelisk, shaped in a similar fashion. The chief difference was that it appeared to be made out of glass, with some dark magician energy flowing through it inside.
âThat...that must be the anchor!â the knight shouted, âI-itâs right there!â
âDestroy it!â Leianna cried, picking up the pace. Soon, all of them were sprinting again, rushing to reach the object they believed was the final objective.
They finally reached the end of the hallway, entering a massive, rounded room with the anchor at the other end. It truly was massive, and the walls moved off far into the distance. Alexander wagered he could have fit the entire army in here.
As they moved forward, heading for the key to their salvation, an earth-shattering roar made him realize the fight was far from over.
A massive figure cast a shadow over them before flying straight past them. Turning and landing in the middle of the massive room, it now blocked their path.
It was...almost like Julroul, Basilrinâs brother. It was a massive dragon, wrapped in the dark mists of corruption, with pure white eyes and an unholy visage. Unlike Julroul, something about this one was...even more terrifying.
The mists poured all around it, reaching far into the rest of the room. It was far larger, the size of a dragon that was nearing elderhood. Alexander didnât know much about the corruption, but he could tell this dragon was more powerful than any other he had met before.
âAt last,â it hissed, âI returnâŚâ
The silence in the room made the demon-dragon snarl. âYou have already forgotten? Simple-minded apes. You truly deserve your new fate.â
Still, no one responded.
âYou abandoned me. You left me to die, and now fate has brought forth a punishment more horrid than your darkest dreams. Now do you remember?â
The knightâs eyes widened as twisted comprehension dawned on him. The words of the demon rattled him to his very core as he found his understanding of the fate of his friend was worse than death itself.
âT...TourthunâŚ?â he whispered meekly. The dragonâs grin widened to a seemingly impossible size.
âThe very same.â

Again, for the ship ask meme (because I noticed someone already asked about 2 out of 3 ships I also asked about *lol*). So here are 3 additional ones: Mulder/Krycek, TOS!Spones, Tibbs (*buahahahaha*)
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. I was hoping you would do that ^_^ And I love all of those, though I will deny one of them forever. (Or at least three times before dawn or something.) I will do them in 3 different posts again, so I have more space. Enjoy! :)
Part 1/3: Mulder/Krycek!
Previously done: MaxAnne, FlintHamilton, Sterek, Tiva, WinterFalcon. Â (youâre all still welcome to send me more ships if you wanna :))
whoâs the werewolf and whoâs the hunter
Okay, so calling Mulder a hunter is a bit misleading. Itâs like saying in the actual series he was a UFO hunter. No, no, no, heâs more of a⌠enthusiast, if you will. The seeker of truth. Annoying know it all who have no problems with lecturing his new partner, and actual werewolf, on the history of various lycanthropic myths.
Krycek is not amused, but heâs still a spy then, so he pretends he is.
whoâs the mermaid and whoâs the fisherman
Okay, Iâm biased, but thereâs a fic called A Fish Named Alex, if I remember correctly. (Itâs midnight and Iâm tired, Iâm not going on a wild, late-night research to find it). And basically yes, Alex is the fish. Mulder is again the one fascinated with the merpeople. He works with sea creatures and believes in mermaids since one of them saved his sister from drowning and now Iâm just telling you all I remember from that great yet somewhat disturbing fic so I will stop.
whoâs the witch and whoâs the familiar
Mulder is a witch, but the thing is, he doesnât know it. And his familiar is a bit of a shit. And really Mulder was just very, very bored. The X-Files were closed, Scully was teaching again and telling him she has a life when he randomly called at two am. And itâs not like he doesnât have a life, itâs just far less structured because really time is a bit of a messed up concept, especially when you canât sleep and are terribly bored. So, Mulder decides to learn more about witchcraft and try some for himself. Thatâs when Krycek shows up and really, Mulder didnât even know people can be familiars! (And Krycek is really too fed up with the whole thing to get into not really being a human thingâŚ.)
whoâs the barista and whoâs the coffee addict
When Mulder came to the coffee shop for the first time he was thinking about the case and talked a bit to himself, a bit to random people and when Alex gave him coffee and said how much it cost, Mulder asked: âWhy does he travel to other peopleâs dreams, though?â And with only the slightest pause Alex replied âMaybe he doesnât have his own.â and moved on to the next client.
He likes to think that was Mulderâs first time in the coffee shop because otherwise, it implied Alex was unable to notice cute guys until they proved to be complete weirdos.
It certainly isnât his last visit, because he comes back just a few days later, smiling and saying âYou were right!â and Alex has no idea what is he talking about, but he is still cute and Alex thinks he can roll with this.
whoâs the professor and whoâs the TA
Mulder is the professor whose opinions and theories are mocked so commonly he doesnât really trust anyoneâs interest in his work or himself, really. Itâs not an ideal situation for his TA, Alex, who happens to be very much interested in both, professor Mulder AND his theories. To be fair, he is selling it badly.
whoâs the knight and whoâs the prince(ss)
Prince Alex is the guest in their kingdom and as such is assigned a knight to protect him from all evil. Itâs more of a traditional gesture than anything else, Alex was told. Itâs a shame no one seems to have told Knight Mulder who takes his job very seriously.
âYou do realize I was trained and am probably a better fighter than you are, right?â Itâs three AM, thereâs no point for Mulder to even be there.
âMhm. What if youâre not the one being attacked?â Heâs eating sunflower seeds and looking unconcerned except for the fact that he keeps watch right outside of Alexâs door.
âSorry?â Alex asks, confused. âAre you protecting me or protecting the castle from me?â
âWhichever happens first,â Mulder smirks and Alex reminds himself how important diplomatic relations between their kingdoms are and doesnât punch him in the face.
âYouâre quite paranoid, did you know?â
âItâs only paranoia if Iâm wrong,â smiles Mulder and Alex frowns.
ââŚNo. Not really, no.â
whoâs the teacher and whoâs the single parent
âI think one of the parents of my kids is a serial killer,â Mulder announces during their break.
Scully pauses in the balanced act of carefully eating her no-fat yogurt while doing her paperwork. Then she clearly decides the day was pretty uneventful and sheâs willing to spice it up with some pointless fantasy gossip that only Mulder can deliver.
âWhich one?â she asks.
âKrycek. Dimaâs father?â
âTall, dark, enjoys wearing black weather even in the summer? Yes, I see what you mean.â
âHm? Oh yeah, that too. Also, he keeps staring at me at every parent meeting. Like a sniper. He just sits in the last row and never blinks.â
Scully rolls her eyes.
âThatâs not being a killer, thatâs having a crush.â
â⌠Itâs creepy.â
She shrugs and nods in agreement. âHe is.â
whoâs the writer and whoâs the editor
Mulder is the writer and Alex is responsible for making it readable. He usually cuts out a 1/3 of the original work that mostly consists of Mulderâs rambling.
âI have a specific style.â
âAnd it sucks.â
âWhy am I paying you?â

Cinematic Comic Characters Ranked! (Year 2008) Final Part
Wow, I just want to say that 2008 really stepped it up when it came to comic movies released. Granted, a couple werenât the best but overall this year was one of the best out of the bunch. The Dark Knight and Hellboy II: The Golden Army are the only sequels this year, while The Punisher: War Zone and The Incredible Hulk serve as reboots. Star Wars: The Clone Wars serves as a prequel and we also see the debut of Iron Man, Speed Racer, The Spirit and Wanted! Lets start off our largest list yet! Hereâs the Top 20 of 2008!
*SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE MOVIES HIGHLIGHTED ABOVE*
20. Emil Blanksy/Abomination (The Incredible Hulk)
"Give me a REAL fight!"
Like I said in 2007's list in regards to The Stranger in 30 Days of Night, if you want a character to be disliked by me, have them kill a dog. Emil does this right in the beginning as he and his team hunt Bruce down in Brazil so, naturally, my body was filled with glee when the Hulk trashed them all. This is apparently a turn-on for Emil because he gets obsessed with having the power Bruce has. It doesn't take much for him to convince Ross and then, later, Samuel Sterns to eventually help him become Abomination, a freak of immense power. Him and the Hulk enter an epic fight on the battlefield that is New York City that ends up with him getting his ass beat.
19. The Octopus (The Spirit)
"I don't like egg on my face."
The Octopus was such an outrageous character man! And unlike Jigsaw and his wack brother, The Octopus made it work for him! With help with the overall setting of the film, The Octopus showed that even though he's not all there, he's still a major threat to Central City. His thirst for immortality and world domination put him at odds with The Spirit, who also holds a grudge against him for killing him. He pulls all kinds of evil doings, including dissolving an innocent cat, which was the last straw for The Spirit. After he loses the vase of Heracles's blood, The Octoplus then blows up from a grenade shoved in his body.
18. Rachel Dawes (The Dark Knight)
"If you lose your faith in me, please keep your faith in people."
Rachel is still fighting crime in the courtroom but this time with her new boyfriend, Harvey Dent. I expected an obvious love triangle with Bruce to happen, but I don't think that's what we got. I don't think Rachel cared for Bruce like she did in the first film, but because of the promise she made she felt guilty and kept denying her feelings for Harvey to grow. Her fight for justice shows up several times as she takes down crime lords in the court and even face to face with the Joker when he goes after Harvey, but her relationship with Harvey and Bruce is what brings her demise. Her death was shocking but it would be the final tool for Harvey Dent's transformation into Two Face.
17. Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)
"No, I'm the one with enthusiasm."
Ahsoka is a young Jedi in training that's been assigned to work under Anakin Skywalker's teachings. She falls quickly into the little sister role but she shows just as much determination as Anakin when he was a young Jedi, which is why I think he grows to like her. She proves her skill again and again and she even saves Anakin a few times when he's in a tight spot, though he won't admit it. She ends up taking care of Jabba's newborn and returns him safely so the tension between the Hutt's and the Republic can end.
16. Princess Nuala (Hellboy II: The Golden Army)
"I'm afraid it's the other way around."
Princess Nuala definitely has a strong sense on what is right and what is wrong. Even if she dislikes the way her people are living, she knows that attacking the humans with the Golden Army is wrong, and therefore hides the last piece of the crown from her brother after he kills their father. She seeks help from Abe and the two bond over the fact that they both have similar learning powers through their hands. Now. Once we found out that she feels everything Nuada feels, I knew she was going to die. I did not see her taking out herself though. I should've, because she was cool with her dad sentencing them to death but it still really shocked me when she went ahead and knifed herself, taking her destructive brother down with her.
15. James Gordon (The Dark Knight)
"He's a silent guardian. A Dark Knight."
With the Joker wrecking havoc on Gotham City, James Gordon had to step his game up big time. He honestly did the best he could, coming up with a great plan involving him faking his own death so he could capture the Joker that ended up promoting him to Commissioner, but the clown prince of crime was just always three steps ahead. He managed to beat Gordon at his own game several times and ended up giving him a deadly enemy, Two Face. Gordon and Harvey Dent's animosity towards each other come to end when Two Face tries to take out Gordon's family. When Batman saves them, they both agree that Batman must take the fall for Dent's death.
14. Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)
"The desert is merciless. It will take everything from you."
Wow I actually liked Anakin in this movie. I think it was because he wasn't shown as this moody teenager who was just constantly filled with angst the whole damn time and instead showed him as a leader and now teacher of Ahsoka. They didn't focus too much on his relationship with Padme, which also wasn't his strongest point because again, he was just moody as hell even if he was in love. He really grew as an individual and was able to bond with Ahsoka through their travels despite him not liking her in the beginning. We got to see his angst a little bit when they returned to his home planet but I understand, even if I think it's silly, that you can't have a Skywalker on the screen and not have them go through angst.
13. Wesley Gibson (Wanted)
"What the fuck have you done lately?"
So part of me liked Wesley and the  part of me didn't. I liked how he decided he wasn't going to be treated like shit anymore and stood up to all the toxic people in his life. I do like how polite he was and his determination to really be something he could be proud of. And I liked his friendship with the Executioner and his relationship with Fox. I didn't like how he all of a sudden got this superiority complex as soon as he learned a little knife trick. Like he was constantly throwing mad shade at us, the viewers, and it was a little off-putting because no one should be able to talk as much shit as he did when they allow their best friend to bang their girl for years before finally doing something. Also, why did he hate Cross so much? I get he thought Cross killed his father but damn he was hunting him down as if he had known his father his entire life! But I was glad he was able to discover the truth and then use everything he learned to bring down Sloan and the Fraternity once and for all.
12. Harvey Dent/Two Face (The Dark Knight)
"You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
Harvey Dent is Gotham's White Knight. He's a lawyer that can't be bought and is determined to bring down every corrupt person in the city, which earns him a lot of enemies. When the opportunity to bring down all the crime lords shows up, he forces his way into Batman and Gordon's plans, causing tensions with the latter. But he ends up biting more than he can chew once the Joker shows up. Not only does he end up burning off half his face, but he loses Rachel as well. Her death is the final straw and Harvey Dent becomes Two Face after having a little chat with the Joker. He seeks out the cops that betrayed him, the crime lords that set it up, and even Gordon, who he blames for Rachel's death. His thirst for revenge gets him in a confrontation with Batman, ending with his death. Instead of revealing what actually happened, Gordon and Batman agree to keep Dent's White Knight reputation.
11. Abe Sapien (Hellboy II: The Golden Army)
"Despite the appearances, I bet Red will make an excellent father figure."
Abe is the most supportive friend a hellspawn can ask for. I mean, he works well with everyone. He helps support Liz after discovering she's pregnant and he even gets along well with Tom Manning. He ends up developing the biggest teenage-boy crush on Princess Nuala and starts wearing contacts, listening to love songs, and even gets drunk with Hellboy as they bond over their women. It was slightly annoying when he gave the last piece to Prince Nuada for Nuala's safety, but he was right when he pointed out Hellboy would do the same for Liz. Nuala's death definitely took a toll on him which is one of the reasons why I think he ended up quitting with the team.
10. Sand Saref (The Spirit)
"Do I look like a good girl?"
A femme fatale, Sand used to be Denny's young love as they grew up in Central City. She dreamed of diamonds, cars, and loved reading stories of Jason's Golden Fleece. When her uncle dies, she decides to break up with cop-loving Denny, and finally go after everything she wants in life. Now known for marrying rich and then killing her husbands, keeping all the money for herself. With everything she's asked for, she goes after the Golden Fleece, which brings her back to Central City. When her Fleece get's switched with Octopus's vase of blood, she becomes a major player in the war between him and the Spirit, who she learns is Denny back from the dead. Their feelings come back when he learns she still had the necklace he gave her but they aren't acted on until the final fight. With her hands on the Golden Fleece, Sand uses it's impenetrable coat to protect The Spirit and then the tow proceed to make out in front of everyone, including his current girlfriend. They break ways though, Sand choosing her diamonds and The Spirit choosing the city's protection.
9. Prince Nuada Silverlance (Hellboy II: The Golden Army)
"Let this remind you why you once feared the dark."
So I don't feel like Prince Nuada was a bad guy, he really thought he was bringing justice to his people by defeating the humans who raged war on them for years. He has a respect for nature and cares deeply about his kingdom, which is why he couldn't deal with how they were living under his father's rule while the humans destroyed all the green from their planet. So he did what he had to do to gain control of the crown pieces but then became at odds with Hellboy and his team. They end up fighting a lot, Nuada is crazy talented with the spear, but Nuada always got away because Hellboy couldn't hurt him without hurting Princess Nuala, Abe's crush. It isn't until Nuada has complete control of the Golden Army that he's defeated by Hellboy, but even then he won't stop his mission until Nuala kills herself, killing him as well.
8. Pepper Potts (Iron Man)
"I do anything and everything Mr. Stark requires. Including occasionally taking out the trash."
If there's one person who can put Tony Stark in his place, it's Pepper. In fact, I'm pretty sure Pepper can put anyone in their place, proof being when she handles the disrespectful reporter, Christine. She's Stark's personal assistant and handles literally everything in his life, since the millionaire genius is pretty much incapable of doing anything besides creating amazing technology (he really should know his social security number). It's Pepper who discovers that Obadiah was the one trying to kill him and it's Pepper who helps Iron Man take him down. There isn't a resolution to the chemistry between Pepper and Tony, but since she's still his assistant, there's still hope.
7. Denny Colt/The Spirit (The Spirit)
"She is my lover, and I am her Spirit."
I get why literally every girl in this movie fell for the Spirit, he's extremely charismatic. How he learned to do that after rising from the dead, I don't know, but it's a skill he mastered and it's got him out of several tough spots as he tries to protect the city (granted it's gotten him in tougher spots too). He has a hilarious rivalry with The Octopus which puts him in even more hilarious situations like fighting in the mud with toilets, jumping off buildings with his pants off, and fighting goons holding gun with nothing but snowballs. Despite all of this, he manages to save his city, kiss the girl (ends up with another girl), and finally takes The Octopus down with a grenade.
6. Hellboy (Hellboy II: The Golden Army)
"I'm not gonna kill him, Abe. But I am gonna kick his ass!"
Our favorite petty hellspawn is back! Nothing much has changed since we lost saw Hellboy. He's still in love with Liz and his kittens, still desperately wants to fit in with society, and still has a nasty temper. Despite all their arguing, Hellboy and Liz still find a way to make it work, especially now that Liz is pregnant with his babies. His relationship with Abe also expands, Hellboy taking on a big brother role as he helps Abe deal with his feelings with Princess Nuala, and by 'deal' I mean they get drunk and listen to sad love songs. Despite the annoyance of Krauss being added to the team, Hellboy manages to lead everyone against Prince Nuada and his powerful Golden Army. When he takes them all done, him and Liz quit the department and walk off to start their new family.
5. Bruce Banner/Hulk (The Incredible Hulk)
"HULK SMASH!"
The Hulk is the first superhero that's gotten a reboot in my list's history. Even though the film is technically a sequel, lots of things were rebooted and, in my opinion, for the better. Not only do we get to see the Hulk in his destructive glory but I feel like we were finally able to connect to Bruce as a human. He's someone with a problem that has the potential to cause serious harm for anyone near him so he isolates himself from everyone he cares about and tries to find a way to get rid of away. Of course he can't stay hidden too long and ends up reuniting with Betty, but with the army trying to selfishly use his contaminated blood as a weapon of their own, the journey just gets harder and harder for Bruce. In the end, when he's fighting Abomination on the streets of New York, Bruce nearly kills him as the Hulk but with the help off Betty he's able to manage his rage, if only briefly, and runs off to British Colombia. There we see him last, his glowing eyes hinting at his newfound control over the Hulk.
4. Fox (Wanted)
"We kill one and maybe save a thousand."
If anyone believes in the code and in the Fraternity of Assassins, it's Fox. This is someone who was actually a victim of what happens when an assassin doesn't kill their target. It's probably why she joins, herself, and quickly becomes one of the best they have. She's badass in every way, shape, and form. From curving bullets, driving in crazy speed chases, and climbing the side of a train as it gets ready to fall over a rocky cliff, she's someone who's capable of anything. When she finds out her name, along with everyone in the Fraternity's names, show up she disobeys Sloan and honors the code it the most epic way. With one final curve of her bullet, she manages to take down everyone in the room, including herself.
3. Bruce Wayne/Batman (The Dark Knight)
"Because sometimes the truth isn't good enough. Sometimes, people deserve more."
The Dark Knight is back and the streets of Gotham couldn't be any more safe, but it's not just him that c an take the credit. Gotham has a hero with a face taking down these crime lords and his name is Harvey Dent. This man gives Bruce hope that maybe he can step away from the suit and live a normal life with Rachel after all, but all that comes crashing down once the Joker steps to the plate. Bruce made a mistake in underestimating Joker, thinking of him as a common criminal, which ends up costing him the lives of several people including Rachel. Bruce has to really think outside the box when it comes to stopping him and when he finally does, he ends up with another threat in the form of Two Face. When Harvey Dent regrettably dies, Bruce understands that the general public will go into chaos if they find out about his corruption and so he decides to take the blame entirely, saving Harvey's reputation along with Gotham City's safety.
2. Tony Stark/Iron Man (Iron Man)
"The truth is...I am Iron Man."
The genius owner of a millionaire dollar business. Tony Stark is one of the most brilliant men the world has to offer, and he puts his brains into making weapons for the military to help keep the peace. It isn't until after he's kidnapped by terrorist with his own weapon technology that he realizes his mistakes. He turns a new leaf and decides to create a hero of sorts to help protect people from those who wish to harm them: Iron Man! Tony Stark's charisma and humor throughout the film was so fun to watch and his journey to becoming a hero was even better to see happen. At the end he does what no hero has done before, he reveals he's indeed Iron Man, not wanting to hide away from his responsibilities.
1. The Joker (The Dark Knight)
"Why so serious?"
Is anyone surprised? 2008 had the most bad ass characters by far with returning champions Batman, Hellboy, and Angelina Jolie (even though she won as Tomb Raider instead of Fox) and the debut of Iron Man. There's only one person who could steal the throne from them at that was Heath Ledger's Joker. The Joker ruled every scene he was in and was, in every sense of the word, a madman. From his multiple backstories on how he got his scars to his nurse outfits, Joker installed fear and uncertainty in everyone that crossed his path. An agent of chaos, Joker quickly flipped Gotham upside down and had the entire city scrambling to figure him out and put a stop to him. And even though he does eventually get stopped because Batman does have more strength in the end, no one figures him out. He's a puzzle piece that remains unsolved because every time you try he finds a way to create the biggest, most chaotic storm in your life. It's his wild plans that aids in the creation of Two Face, after all. The Joker is one of the greatest enemies Batman has ever faced and his reign as one of the greatest villains of all time in film is still evident almost ten years later.

do you remember what you wrote at all for the fantasy style guardian headcanons, or at least the one you did for uf!papyrus? im really excited to see more of the fic but i only just discovered your blog and im super curious as to what he'll be like ;;
So this may be too little too late, given skullcanons disappearance, but I was holding out to discover the original. Given how long its been I think its time to just rewrite it myself.
For those of you who donât know, this is based off a prompt from my first blog. The prompt was imagining the skelebros as a fantasy style guardian, someone to accompany a Reader on some kind of mythical quest. From that I kind of inferred the system where teh skeletons are all guardians assigned to those going out on a quest, anything from dungeon crawling to saving the world to slaying a dragon. It may be functionally a sort of mercenary role although the assignments often have a lot to do with temperament and goals. I invoked a few archetypes to help give an impression. Also, keep in mind Iâm working off of memory and may have changed one or two. Iâm almost positive that I remember UF!Papyrusâ perfectly.
UT!Sans: The Trickster. His guardian style is essentially identical to his function in canon. Heâll keep an eye on you but only rarely engage directly with whatâs harassing youâŚ.as far as you know. There may be untold dangers heâs protected you from out of your sight, but heâll never mention it. Heâs constantly got some kind of tool in his pockets that youâre not sure was obtained through entirely legitimate means. While heâll likely go along with your moral compass (as long as its not out and out reprehensible), you definitely feel his displeasure when your actions cross his own boundaries. A decent companion but has tendency to wander off when you want him and naps too much. May screw with you a bit for entertainment, but heâs pretty good about not taking it too far.
UT!Papyrus: The Paladin. A knight type. His own moral code is intensely strict and as a result can only be partnered with questers whoâs ideals and goals are at least in the radius of his. He will take care of you, although not in the manner he would like to. He wants to be a dashing knight riding in, helping you both narrowly escape from evil doers and championing you (and by extension himself) across the land. But his care shines through in his cooking, in his constant concern for your day-to-day wellbeing. A bit arrogant and too confident in his own abilities, as well as vastly inexperienced, but a heart of gold and enough courage and determination to face any task you have before you. He believes in you and your goals one hundred and ten percent, and anyone who doesnât canât help but be a little persuaded by the genuineness in your companion. But for the love of hell get him some lighter armor, his default stuff is heavy and clanky as fuck and a total pain to deal with.
UF!Sans: The Guard-dog. He doesnât get assigned much, especially to longer-term quests. He has minimal patience, especially with the more intense questers, whether for good or evil. He also has a temper the size of Ebott, a heavy amount of laziness, a tendency to wear down his companions through constant mocking. Still, once he bonds, its for good. In the end, itâll be you that he cares about, not what youâre doing. Heâll complain, deride, and grumble his way through every step but heâs hot on your heels into every fight, keeps you out of trouble as best he can, and in time the two of you learn to enjoy each otherâs company. Even if your tasks arenât inherently shady heâll likely pick up a little âside businessâ along the way that may be less than legal. But hey, how the hell else is he supposed to get food. Heâs pretty good with mechanics, building, and surprisingly most varieties of puzzles, which is why heâs a good partner for treasure-hunting style quests. Just make sure he doesnât get drunk. Heâs hard to keep track of when heâs inebriated and will usually find trouble.Â
UF!Papyrus: The Sentinel. Compared to him Red is almost in demand. He has an extremely limited number of questers heâll ever be considered for, and even fewer of those make it longer than a week or two. Between the constant complaining about how beneath  him everything is, the frequent assaults on his partnerâs self-esteem for small mistakes, and his aggressive attitude that tends to get him into unnecessary fightsâŚ.yeah, he doesnât get out much. In general he actually tends to do best with questors with similar goals but opposite temperaments. An Integrity or a Patience would likely be among the best, with maybe a more mature Kindness as a possibility. And truth be told, though his respect is hard to earn, its invaluable and well worth the effort. Heâll keep you on-task (heâs a very point A to point B guy) and well-defended, and though he errs on the side of too critical his insight can be helpful if you know how to listen to it.
US!Sans: The Hero. A bundle of energy thatâs always in search of a cause to champion. Even if you donât have one, heâs going to find one along the way. Whether its poor villagers laboring under a cruel ruler, a young heir kidnapped by an evil witch, if its brave and dangerous and in the cause of good heâs already halfway there. As a result heâs among the more flighty guardians and you may have to tie him to your side in order to keep him on task. Heâs a quick and skilled fighter but prefers to make peace or talk his way out of a situation if he can. He can beâŚa little much, especially if youâre not into histrionics, but heâs an amiable companion and fairly pleasant to be around. Donât trust his cooking, but he will make sure you eat and take care of yourself. And despite how much he talks, he really is a good listener.
US!Papyrus: The Mage. Like Tale Sans he has a tendency to avoid interfering where he feels it would be too much work, but no Papyrus can resist a challenge. Heâs a book based wizard and if a problem or puzzle is posing a particularly pesky problem (alliteration is fun), he canât resist (or rest) until heâs found some kind of answer. Heâs good at thinking on his feet and his mouth moves in pace with his mind. Heâs exceptional with distance attacks but has trouble with commitment, so they often arenât as powerful as they could be. Heâs so focused on making sure he can dodge that he doesnât put all of his effort into a strike. Like Tale Sans he does have boundaries, but heâs a little less judgmental. If youâre doing something he considers too far, he likely will just sit it out unless youâre actively hurting innocents. Clever and funny but sometimes talks too much for his own good. Decidedly lacks focus.
SF!Sans: The Dark Prince. He is going to be excessively disappointed if your quest doesnât involve taking some province and setting up an autocracy, but heâs not as picky as Boss. Any quest is experience in the world, and an opportunity to further his own skills and connections, thus leading to potential chances to seize some kind of power. Heâs just as vocal with his complaints but can hold his tongue and doesnât drag his feet as much as Boss does. Heâs energetic and aggressive and will likely pick fights with someone in every town you stop in. Its very rare that he bonds emotionally with his partner. Generally he views them as more a means to an end. But when he does he likely would be willing to go on multiple journies with the same one, and their partnership will be especially deep in terms of combat. He has the utmost respect for their abilities (although they are still obviously inferior to his own) and will help them with their own ambitions, although only rarely to the detriment of his own. Prefers more brutal weapons, such as maces or flogs.Â
SF!Papyrus: The Soldier. Heâs very quiet. You could be on the road with him for weeks before having a conversation beyond âthose bandits are getting closerâ. Despite that you never get the feeling that heâs distancing himself. Heâs deeply protective of his partners and the silences are companionable, not stony. Heâs just extremely difficult to read. Truth be told, Syrup gets paired with more questers than anyone except the Tale brothers, given his combination of exceptional combat abilities and generally lowkey and mostly agreeable personality. But though heâll fight to the last for each one (comes with the job) he finds it easier not to get close with too many. You canât save or help all of them. Still, if a friendship does start to develop (maybe even something more, if youâre lucky), the protectiveness increases, as well as his vocalness about his feeling about whatever situation youâre entering. His instincts are reliable and if he says that cave looks foreboding its generally because there is some shit down there you will not walk away from without injuries. Still, heâll follow you to hell and back if need be. His humor is sarcastic and under the radar and unless your quick his digs at you and everyone around you may go unnoticed. If you can dish it back it increases the likelihood of him getting closer with you. Fast on his feet but reluctant to fight where he doesnât have to.Â
