the thing about john winchester is he’s fucked either way. if he trains his boys to hunt and protect themselves from the thing(s) in the dark then it inevitably creates this deeply fucked up abusive situation that only a monster would put his kids through right? but if he hadn’t they would’ve either been killed or not been able to stop the apocalypse.
