Blend in with your surroundings. I can't understand why people build huge houses with only 2 bds. This is a 2000 build in Larkspur, CO. 2bd, 2ba, $989K.

2 glass doors open to stairs that go up to the main floor. (Note the rock from outside, coming in.)

Look at this.

There's a large kitchen with grayish blue cabinetry.

Part of the kitchen and dining area are open so you can see the lower level.

To the side of the kitchen there's a living room.

This looks like a built-in desk right next to a rock. What a tranquil space.

I think that this is the primary bedroom. It has stairs to the en-suite, behind the wall.

The en-suite is pretty nice. Has a nice tub, shower and sinks.

The 2nd bd. is a loft space.

The en-suite is very nice. Has a beautiful sink, the black tub and glass block shower.

Narrow mirrored laundry space.

Here's another home office, a small corner space.

On the top floor there's a conservatory, but they don't show the interior. Outdoor spaces include terraces, decks, and patios.

The largest deck has a grill.

And a sitting area around a fire pit.

Then, down on the ground, they put a picnic table under the trees.

Behind the house, they have a shed and hot tub area.

Awsten Knight Hair (Two different files)

I started with showing Red & Black first as it's the latest but I made 17 swatches. I think I covered every significant color, skipping most Greatest Hits hairs as those are a pain okay, I am but a single person with GIMP. I did do the scene hair but I would like to some day do it on another mesh. I sorted and organized all my pictures of Awsten, over 400 btw, by hair color, to help me figure out the best examples of each, and to figure out which ones were just faded versions of the others, a few swatches are 'faded' colors, and which looked distinct enough to make swatches for. Green seems most consistent, I have the most pics of blue. Greatest Hits tricolor and red & black are my favorites. The blue is the first color that shows up on the swatches so the thumbnail shows blue hair to make finding it easy. I tried to mimic that the two distinct reds were not exactly the same. I've gotten way too fucking good at telling when a picture came from even if the color is gone from it. None of these are what hair my Awsten Sim normally has tho.

This is. I made this a couple years ago and never changed it from most outfits as it just makes him stand out and it took hours to make, I wanted to get the most out of it. Just one swatch here. Both of these are base game mesh recolors, so nothing else is needed. Standalone files. Also I went out of my way to grab werewolfy poses and emotions because I think it's adorable, okay. He's the least intimidating werewolf, but still my favorite. Forgive Jack's face and body and everything being in frame a lot I am playing as him.

hello :))) for the meme - the wind that cuts the night (<3) - 17

17. What was the hardest scene to write?

*thinks* That's such a long time ago now (7 years) that I don't actually fully remember that well.

That being said the scene that required the most research, hand down, was Elliott's garden. All those plants I used are coastal tolerant plants that can handle ocean winds directly coming off the sea.

I knew that like... 'coastal tolerant' doesn't necessarily mean 'literally living on or near sand dunes', and that ruled out most plants. I probably spent, all up, about 8 solid hours over 4 consecutive days researching plants, images of houses that used those plants (so I could see how close to the sea they were), what the plants looked like flowering, and of course I had to look through over about 300 different species of plant to narrow down my list.

To this day, for something that amounted to like, a fairly short description of the plants re: Alex describing them to Elliott, that's like...the most research I ever did for that fic. Once I had the research done, writing the scene was from memory pretty easy. But the research was intense!

Only a couple of months later, I’ve finally started trying to sort through some of theses pictures I took using these fabulous paper dolls made for me by @cutestkilla!!!

This whole thing was for an unpublished portion of one of my WIPs in which Penelope and Baz are kinda-sorta tricked into going to Wisconsin instead of California, and where they meet a new friend who tells them about how his family’s annual trips to The House on the Rock were his introduction to the world of magic, and he introduces them to many of his friends therein. 

I really didn’t take much time to find like the cream of the crop or anything, I honestly just wanted to get some of these out there 😅

(It was actually... so hard to choose which pictures to post. If I didn’t know better, I’d say that this was the first time I had ever used a camera in my life---None of the pictures are great, but there were kind of a lot of them...)

This was so much fun! Someday I will take pictures with the Halloween costumes that @cutestkilla also made for them, and one day I’ll maybe even get around to writing the House on the Rock portion of that fic! Possibly in time for Halloween 2023! 😆 We will see...

Rock house 🏠

I'll have a house on the rocks, please. 1984 house built on rocks in Big Bear Lake, California has some very unique features. 5bds, 5ba, $3.249M (cut $251K).

In the entrance you have a dramatic wall of boulders. And, if you like marble, this house has lots of marble-look tile, such as the wall with the mirror.

Up in the sunken living room is a 4-sided marble fireplace. Lots of windows give great natural light, plus a perfect view of the lake.

Here in the family room is a full feature wall fireplace in the same marble look, and the entrance to a sunroom.

The dining table has a view of the terrace and lake.

A corner kitchen with wooden countertops. From the sink is a view of the lake, and from the cooktop the living room fireplace is visible.

This angular bedroom has a seating nook with a garden window and a door to a private deck surrounded by a wall of rocks.

The primary bedroom is huge and very open. At the far end, it has a sunroom entrance, and on the left is what looks like the entrance to a TV room.

The sunroom has a wide view of the lake and the sky overhead.

This is nice, a home office in a loft.

Downstairs is this wonderful rec room with built-ins including a bar.

And, how cute is this reading nook?

TV room.

Plus a nice wine cellar.

Outside a large tiered deck is built out over the rocks.

Stairs to navigate the rocky terrain going down to the boat dock.

The home sits on an .83 acre of rocks.

OK this is 100% me being picky n a bitch n i don’t care n it’s whatever this is my blog but i think that if yr whole artistic schtick is that is that yr a teenager making art whether yht b music or paintings or writing abt the teenage experience or abt growing up n that’s all yr gonna write abt i think yr writing sucks shit n u will never progresses as a artist n u suck shit n whatever art u make will suck shit. i think the teenage experiences is not the end all be all of reality that people seem to make it out 2 be n not even just teenage years i mean like youth in general .like it’s not like yeah writing about tht part of life is not important i just think that if that’s your whole image is built upon yr youth, tht yr teenager or young adult writing about growing up yr gonna run out of material n then yr not gonna be able to write anymore n that’s stupid and lame n u suck
