Episode 5
Day
In Ryo’s office, Gingka and the others are video chatting – Gingka with Masamune, Kenta with Excalibur, and Madoka with Wang Hu Zhong. Gingka asks to see Striker, but it hasn’t changed at all. Hikaru is abruptly pulled over by him to show Masamune the transformed Aquario. He’s amazed, asking what she’s calling it, but she admits she hasn’t figured that out yet.
In Madoka’s call, though Mei Mei remembers seeing a light at the time mentioned, the others remind her it had been a power surge. Kenta has finished his own explanation, but then voices his confusion over Julian’s absence. Sophie explains they’ve been making him take more days off recently, as the events with Ziggurat and Spiral Force did a number on his head. Wales assures them that they’ll catch him up to speed on everything. Though the team exchanges looks of intrigue, they unfortunately have no information either.
Ryo muses that it seems only Hikaru and Kyoya have awakened and wonders where the other eleven legendary bladers might be. He’s startled out of his thoughts when Masamune loudly declares he will become a legendary blader and surpass Gingka. Ryo encourages them all, saying some of them may well become legendary bladers, which impacts Kenta in particular. He becomes briefly lost in thought on the subject.
They say their farewells and the calls end. Gingka expresses his confusion that neither Masamune nor Dashan were chosen. Madoka adds that they didn’t get any leads in Russia either; Kenta says the same for his calls with Desert Blaze and Chandora. Gingka wonders whether Tsubasa or Yu might be legendary bladers, but Madoka points out that as they went off on a training journey, no one knows where they are. Hikaru confirms this rather worriedly, admitting that though Tsubasa had been contacting them at first, he suddenly went off the grid after the first month. To get their minds off their worry, Ryo changes the subject, asking Yuki how things are going with his part.
Yuki, who had been doing some work on his own, shows the group a video of the moment the star fragment broke. He has calculated the trajectory of one piece to a remote island in Indonesia. The group decides to go there and find it. Ryo reminds them of the urgency of their mission and that they must hurry. Hikaru holds Aquario a bit tighter but says nothing.
Kenta asks about Kyoya and whether he should come, as he is a legendary blader. Gingka comments that he would like that to happen, but Madoka is uncertain after the events of their last battle, especially since he went off on his own instead of joining them here.
At the dock warehouses, Kyoya is training with the new Leone, with Benkei watching excitedly. He muses on its new strength and new fangs, then dubs the evolved bey Fang Leone and declares that once these new fangs are polished, he will rise above the dark power and prove he is more than capable of winning any battle on his own.
Yuki thinks back to that morning when he and Kyoya had met eyes. He hesitantly asks what kind of person Kyoya is, saying he knows his power is high due to watching the World Championships, but he didn’t seem very friendly earlier. Madoka agrees that Kyoya is rather wild and Kenta comments he “doesn’t play well with others”. Gingka tells him that Kyoya is filled with a heated bey spirit, despite his rough exterior.
Ryo tells them to rest up, pack their things, and that he’ll have their transport ready after lunch. Madoka and Kenta run off to prepare, with Yuki following after giving a polite goodbye. Hikaru excuses herself as well, but Ryo stops Gingka before he leaves, asking if they could talk for a moment.
The two stand in silence as Hikaru closes the door behind her. Gingka is a bit tense as he looks at his dad. Ryo sighs and starts gently, telling Gingka that he shouldn’t blame himself for what Kyoya is going through. This isn’t what Gingka expected to hear and he’s caught a bit off guard. Ryo continues, saying that the dark power is something ancient and terrible, and its effects have often left its victims scrambling to find themselves again. Kyoya is strong in his own right and Ryo has certainty that if he has fought it this long with so much success, he will be able to overcome it before too much longer. Gingka must have faith in this as well.
Seeing Gingka’s lack of enthusiastic response, Ryo says he has something for him and asks him to close his eyes. He then opens a drawer in his desk and pulls something out, placing it in Gingka’s hands, and tells him to look. When Gingka opens his eyes, he finds Ryo’s headband in his hands.
Ryo wants Gingka to know how proud he is of overcoming everything that he’s faced so far, even with all of the obstacles and adversaries in his way. Even if the star fragment has not awakened in Pegasus yet, he knows Gingka is powerful without it and wants him to use this time to test himself once more and find his role in this fight for their future. Gingka is silent, but has lost some of his stiffness at his dad’s words, and stares at the headband contemplatively.
Hikaru arrives home again to find her mother waiting for her at the kitchen table with a box. She’s confused as she’s asked to sit, but does so. Her mother says that she’s been hoping for the chance to give this to her for months, and thinks now is the right time for it. Opening the box reveals an outfit, which doesn’t make sense to her at first, but then it occurs to her that it looks a lot like what her mother had worn during her time as a blader.
Her mother tells her that, as Aquario has rebuilt itself, she believes it is time for Hikaru to do the same. This journey involving Nemesis sounds like a difficult one, but one that Hikaru can take. She has always thought Hikaru was strongest when facing a storm that pushed her to her limits, and this looks like a hurricane waiting to bring out the very best in her. Hikaru is teary-eyed as she asks if she really thinks so; her mother reaches over to take her hand and promises she does.
After wiping her eyes, Hikaru takes out Aquario and thinks back to her battle with Kyoya the day before. Before and after the bey’s evolution, she had felt its excitement at being in the field again. She can’t deny that. With the panic of the moment over, she can clearly see the difference between Aquario’s light and the explosions of darkness that Ryuga had once been known for. She internally muses about her mother’s words, wondering if Aquario was trying to tell her the same thing as it circled Kyoya’s tornado.
At last finding the inspiration she’d been searching for to start again, Hikaru finds a name for her transformed bey – Hurricane Aquario. She thanks her mother and takes the clothes with her to another room to change.
Once Hikaru has left the room, Akiko muses about ‘his’ gut feeling being right. She carefully moves to the living room to take a pad of paper and begins writing something: “It looks like the time has come. The star fragment has arrived just like you said it would, and my dear Hikaru has been chosen.”
At the B-Pit, Yuki and Madoka are in an argument about packing, with Yuki thinking his cousin is trying to take too much. He manages to convince her it’s more practical to take a travel bag than a suitcase when they don’t know what kind of places they’ll go and the large suitcase could hinder her. As Madoka reluctantly begins repacking, he tells her he’ll get started on filling her portable repair kit.
While in Madoka’s workshop gathering parts, Yuki notices her bey equipment is tucked away in a drawer. After a brief moment of puzzlement, he removes it and begins inspecting it, stopping as he takes her bey out of its case. He becomes lost in thought as he stares at it.
When Madoka comes out to report she is now ‘properly’ packed, she finds Yuki still holding her bey. He’s startled as she puts her arm around him, but smiles when she reminds him of the promise they made when they were younger.
Yuki: “When the new star fragment arrives…”
Madoka: “...We’ll follow it together.”
At Bey Park, Kenta is all packed up and has just finished explaining their mission to Osamu, Takashi, and Akira. The trio is amazed at his story, with Akira wondering if the star fragment fell into any of their beys, but Takashi highly doubts it, as people like Kyoya and Hikaru are way above their level. Osamu insists it’s possible and they should get back to training.
Akira asks Kenta how long he thinks he’ll be gone, and Kenta admits he isn’t sure, which is why he wanted to tell them he was leaving – so they wouldn’t worry something had happened to him. Takashi questions if Kenta told his mom about everything. Kenta assures them that he called Ryo to help him explain everything to her and to promise her he would stay safe, and he promises them the same.
Takashi comments on how far Kenta has come – from following them around learning the basics, getting involved with the Facehunters and Gingka, and all the crazy adventures he’s gone on since then. “It feels like just yesterday we gave you Sagittario, and now here you are going off to save the world.” Osamu tells him to knock it off before he starts crying; Akira is already trying to scrub away tears, saying how fast their little Kenta’s grown up.
Kenta, both bewildered and embarrassed, frantically tries to reassure them they’ll always be his best friends and he’ll be back before they know it. He then says he’s got to get going or the others will leave without him. As he runs off, the trio tearfully waves goodbye and assures him he’ll be the greatest legendary blader of them all.
When Kenta arrives at the train tracks, he is greeted by the waiting Gingka, Madoka, and Yuki. Madoka explains that Benkei will be there just as soon as he gets confirmation from the computer that Bull’s repairs are complete. Gingka is sure that Kyoya will follow. Kenta declares that he’s along for the ride and wants to become one of the legendary bladers too. Gingka encourages him, hoping for the same. Yuki comments that their bond is strong, which he’s envious of as he’s always been alone. Gingka tells him he’s one of them now. Kenta and Madoka back this up, making Yuki feel touched by their kindness.
As Gingka asks about Hikaru’s decision, the group is startled as she comes up to them, saying that she’s going too. Madoka compliments her new outfit, saying she looks more like herself already. Kenta agrees and admires the brooch pinned to her jacket. Hikaru smiles a little, putting her hand to it as she thinks back to what her mother had said while pinning it on her just before she’d left: “My greatest friends gave this to me as a gift to celebrate the win of a particularly difficult tournament. Now, I pass those feelings on to you, Hikaru. I know you will find your strength again, and you’ll rise above everything that tries to get in your way.”
Kenta runs off to start their journey with the others rushing after him, watched from atop a hill by first one, then five cats. At a corner ahead of them a line of meowing cats blocks the path. Johannes appears from around the corner, startling Yuki, and says he’s been waiting for them. When Gingka asks what he wants, Johannes explains that while yesterday he hadn’t gotten exactly what he wanted out of the day, it seems that because of it he’s been saved the trouble of explaining everything to them – that a new dawn of beyblade will arrive soon, when Nemesis awakens. Yuki tries to duck behind Madoka to hide, looking pale, making Madoka realize this must be his attacker, and he nods with a whimper when she asks him to confirm.
As Johannes asks them to join him and rule with them, Madoka interrupts by stepping forward and declaring that the only way a new era of beyblade will begin is by the bladers of the world moving toward it together in the light of their own bladers’ spirits, not by following cheap promises and dark secrets. Johannes says that she’s been listening to things that don’t concern her, and asks which among them is the legendary blader. Hikaru tenses at this, but tries to shake it off. Before she can make herself step forward, however, she and the others are stunned as Madoka pulls out her launcher and bey, telling Johannes that his first mistake was attacking her family, and his second was being stupid enough to show his face to her after.
Mist Delphis VS Beat Lynx begins
After being launched, Delphis manages a strong hit against Lynx, and Gingka and the others are caught off guard by Madoka’s aggressive style. Even so, Lynx’s hits seem to hit harder. Yuki uses his tablet to scan Lynx with a similar program to Madoka’s laptop and explains that while both beys are balance types, Lynx’s spin track height is letting it deal more damage.
Johannes comments that he doesn’t feel the star fragment within Delphis and decides this battle has no purpose. He demands once more to know who the legendary blader is, but Madoka ignores him to continue her attack. Though Delphis manages to knock Lynx into the air, it lands safely due to its cat-like balance. At her next attack, Lynx’s spin track extends and Delphis passes under. The same thing happens with the next attack as Yuki explains how it’s happening, saying its tallest height is comparable to Flame Byxis.
After lowering its spin track, Lynx launches its own attack, knocking Delphis into the air, then follows to smash it back into the ground. When the smoke and dust clear, Delphis is barely hanging on, much to Madoka’s anger. Johannes asks a third time for the legendary blader. This time, Hikaru starts to open her mouth, but is interrupted as Kyoya’s voice cuts in: “You want a legendary blader? Well, now you’ve got one!” He then launches Leone and Johannes recognizes his new power due to his aura. As he expresses his shock, Leone knocks Lynx back. Delphis, though unsteady, still manages to deliver a blow of its own. Johannes, disadvantaged by the two-on-one attack, catches Lynx midair and flees the scene, still declaring that he will have their star fragment.
With the battle over, Benkei arrives with a bag of his own. Kyoya says that Benkei explained their mission, and a startled Kenta asks if he’s saying he’ll come with them. Kyoya doesn’t answer, instead turning his attention to Madoka as she calls back Delphis. He recognizes the bey as the one she used to stop him from battling in the Survival Battle tournament, which she’s surprised he remembers. Reminded of the tournament, Hikaru admits she’d forgotten Madoka had a bey at all, which confuses Yuki, though he doesn’t voice it. Explaining she doesn’t battle much, Madoka looks at her bey and wonders if that’s something she should change.
While Gingka compliments Madoka’s quick action and assures her he’ll help her train, Kyoya picks up his bag and declares they should stop wasting time and get going, already walking away. Benkei follows him.
Kenta and Hikaru remark on his behavior but know his power will help him. Yuki watches Madoka and Gingka, confusion still clear on his face, but follows when the others hurry to catch up to Kyoya, with Madoka asking if he even knows where they’re going.

Who do you work for? Steve Rogers x reader
Wednesday Night
Who do you work for?
Steve Rogers X Reader
The news was to much with all the stress you were having and your legs gave out. Luckily you were able to collapse into a nearby chair. Shaking your head at Sam's words.
“An hour ago?” You repeated weakly. Jean put a hand on your shoulder.
“Y/N? Maybe you should rest a bit and then we will get Steve and figure this all out.” Scott agreed and soon he was escorting you to your room with the sticky note. There was still an hour to the meeting and Scott reassured you that they will get the answer then. You could only nodded and thanked him for the help and shut the door with a gentle click. You leaned back against the door and locked it. What was going on here? Scott would never act this cool about what happen? You stumble over to a door that lead to the balcony.
The Wind greeted you happily as it circled around me. You took in the night air. Soon your nerves began to settle. You was back on the thinking train. You push back all the hurt and disappointment feelings that rose with the thought of Steve. You didn't have time now to dwell on him as there was another problem that everyone was about to face.
You clear your mind and took in all the air around me. After you was set in the trance you began summoning the wind. Using all the training techniques that you learned back at the Mansion. You asked the wind to tell you want was going on. The gently and playful breeze quickly turned into a very power full gust. The more you waited, the more the wind got angrier. It was struggling to say something. The wind pushed the trees around as if it was taking it's anger out on them. You continue to push for an answer.
Intruder, The wind finally broke it's silence as it raced around the buildings.
“Intruder?” You confirmed in a whisper. The wind rushed back around me and then drop a peg in its wild gush. What else? You quietly prayed. Again the wind struggled to answer but it soon revealed another one word answer. Manipulator.
“Manipulator?” Again when I confirmed the message the wind dropped down in its tone. This system of communicating with the wind was very new to us but I was relief that the two of us were willing to look for other ways to keep contact.
“Is there anything else?” Your voice crack under the pressure. This time the wind stopped. You look to see the trees were still swaying from the pushing. Everything became still as you waited. The once peaceful base camp was now sending shivers down your spine. Finally a light breeze grazed your face. The last words sent you racing to Scott and Jean's room.
Death.
“Slow down, and lets start again.” Scott held you by the shoulder and sat you down on the couch. You bit down on your tongue to prevent snapping at Scott. You were getting tried of talking.
“I don't need too. My powers are being interfere with. And my money say Jean's been affected as well.” Your hands wrung together as you hope that Jean and Scott could fix this.
“I haven't used my powers since I got here. There has been no reason too. But if you don't mind...” Jean was always polite when she wanted to look into your mind. You cut her off and sat down in front of her. She place her hands on your temple.
“Start from the day we got here please.” You wanted to be a hundred percent sure what was going on before bringing it up with Tony Stark. Jean nodded her head. And for the next fifteen minutes you were wondering in a dizzy head trip.
“Scott, We have a problem.” Jean's voice was filled with a familiar sound. One that will have the Professor on the way.
Tony and Sam were already in the meeting room when the three of us arrived. A red head and blonde man was sitting with them. Tony was talking with the red head. She did not look please what so ever about what was going on.
“Wonderful to have all of you back together!” Tony welcome us once we sat down. You nodded and kept your eyes to the window. It seemed that we were still waiting for people to start. After a few moments of silence Tony's leg began to bounce and he was taking once more. He turn to the new people and began introduce us. He made a few friendly jokes and then turn to our attention.
“Everyone, this is Natasha Rominoff and Clint Barton. They are some of the other Avengers that work and live here.” You nodded my head as Tony gave them our name one by one. Still with the introductions and all they still didn't look happy to be here.
Another wave of nerves silence the room and it was starting to crowed me.
“May I open a window it's getting stuffy in here?” You asked and when approved, open the window for the night breeze to calm my nerves. But a could feel the same nervous vibes in the wind. I had a sinking feeling that tonight’s meeting wasn't going to go well.
And your first clue was a girl giggling in the hall. It had caught everyone's attention. Steve opened the meeting room door and in walked in the girl from the park. Only she didn't look horrified at all. She giggled again and thank Steve by wrapping her arm around his. He was quick to find two open seats and pulled out her chair. Your mouth dropped open but you refuse to say anything. Jean, who had seen everything that had happen since we got here, through your eyes, rubbed your shoulders to remind you that she was still here for support. Steve kept his back to you and was focus on the new girl. You wasn't the only one dumbfounded by his action. Tony and Sam shared the same look. You looked over to Tony to start the meeting but you ended up catching Sam's face. He was still staring wildly at Steve but the second you look at him his eyes were on yours. He shrugged his apology as to the reaction earlier.
“Um. So Steve-o Would you like to share with the class who your friend is?” Tony was the one to ask the question. Which brought conflicting faces on Natasha and Clint. Steve loudly burst into the laugh. “I'm sorry, This is Jackie. I met her tonight in Central Park.” My eyebrow shot up and how he was acting with the night. you opened my mouth to say something but Steve continue on, “Her friend was in trouble and I asked Y/N to stay and watch her. It turns out it was a joke gone very badly and when I return to the bench. Jackie was there all alone and crying her pour heart out.”
Your blood froze at his words. That's not what happen at all. You quickly summon the memory that was made merely a couple of hours ago. In all your time thinking about what happen, you didn't realise everyone was looking at me.
“That's not what happen.” Was all that stumbled out of your mouth.
“Why did you leave her by herself? Y/N?” Steve ignored your question and asked his.
“I didn't leave anyone by themselves. You told me to stay there and watch her. A friend of hers jumped me and then they both disappeared into the night.” My heart was thumping in my chest and I could feel the heat of confrontation in my cheeks. Steve scoffed at you. He wasn't acting like himself but there was nothing you could do about.
“Tell us what happen,” Sam asked and you were instantly cut off by Steve going over the night. But Sam put up his hand and stop Steve, “Sorry man, but I was talking to Y/N.” Steve eyes growl with anger as he look over at you. Several cold shivers ran down my back as you retold the story. Steve scoffed a few times but neither him or Jackie interrupted.
Once your story ended, Steve was practically outrage and was throwing tons of question your way.
“That doesn't make sense why would I invited you to dinner if we both ended up at the bench in Central Park.?” His question floored you.
“You asked me out to dinner and we had time left over so we went to the park. We were hanging out at the bench when we heard her scream.” You pointed to Jackie. You weren't sure if that was even her name.
“And what were you two talking about?” Sam came in with his gentle question as everyone was trying to piece the puzzle together. Steve shook his head furiously. Which brought everyone's eyes back to you.
“Um, We were... Um nothing was said. We were kissing before she started screaming.” You could feel the heat flare up in my cheeks. A wonderful romantic after dinner walk in the park was now a horrible memory that you wish didn't happen.
“That's Bullshit!” Steve growled at you as he slammed his fist into the table. He caused all his friends to question him, “I wouldn't kiss you. I don't like you!” He spat his words like venom at you.
“Steve?” Sam questioned him, he was now in clear shock of what was going on. This was now your breaking point.
You stood up from the chair and focused all of your attention on Steve. He was acting like a rage animal.
“It did happen and that wasn't the first time you asked me out. Your girlfriend had a thug try and knock me out while you were gone again. You said you wouldn't leave me again and you did! I even told you that it didn't feel right but you left anyway. In the middle of the damn city no less! And now here you are acting like a complete stranger. What's gotten into you?” Your emotions were on fire with anger. You was beginning to loose your control. Steve leaned over the table and we were inches apart. You wanted to punch him so hard in his face. Sam stood up and got Steve to back down. A strong gust burst into the room and surrounding me in a small hurricane of wind. You could feel the anger vanishing as it spun around you. It only left your side when your anger was back in control. You could see everyone was watching you.
“I'm sorry, I apologies.” And I took my seat again. Scott rubbed my back and you muster up an apology to him and Jean. We were not suppose to use our powers like that here.
“Maybe we should reschedule tonight's meeting?” Sam suggest.
“No.” You interjected gently but with a lot of stern. You didn't want to be here another minute, “I think it's time to get the issue of why we are here out of the way. So that we can get back home.” Steve perked up at your words. He hadn't said anything since the slamming of the poor table.
“I agree. The sooner the better. And I vote that we don't need their help.” Steve had unleashed another venomous attack and you didn't know if your heart could take much more of it.
“Steve, can I speak to you outside?” Tony finally spoke up. You almost forgotten he was here. He stood up and waited for Steve to follow but Steve's anger eyes never left mine. “We should take a fifteen minute break. To cool off and collect ourselves.” Tony look back over at Steve.
“Now, Steve!” He raised his voice, It was very sharp with his orders.
Steve drag himself away and started to follow Tony. As Tony approached the door he called over his shoulder.
“And bring that girlfriend of yours with you.” Steve didn't hesitate to collect Jackie into his arms. He gave you one last cold glare as they left the room. Once they were gone you felt the heaviness of the stress clear the room. You stood up and made my way over to the window to take in so more air that I desperately needed.
“Are you okay?” Jean asked when she approached you a few minutes later. “I know you want to go home but we can't leave them in this predicament.” She whispers over to you. I understood the underline meaning and something was differently wrong here. Everyone has clearly noticed that Steve was acting eccentric tonight. You nodded even though your heart wanted nothing more to do with this.
Tony return after the fifteen minute break was up, Steve was following right behind him and you couldn't lie to anyone at the moment. He made your heart jump into your throat and this time it wasn't the flattering butterfly tap dance. You were preparing for another battle with him. You stare straight ahead as Tony adjusted his tie. You couldn't help but peek at Steve from the corner of my eye. He had taken the same seat as earlier but something was different about him? You took a deep breath and realise that the heavy tension from earlier was gone.
Steve sat with his hands wrapped around a coffee mug on the table. His eyes were train to it but even from where you were you could see that all the hatred was gone and a very exhausted one had taken over Steve.
“Okay now that the right people are in here for this meeting. I will just skip to the fun part. Nat and Clint have made it back from their mission with some tasty facts. There has been a breach in some of our other “alias” in the northern hemisphere.” Tony's code only made his team look over at us but at the same time nobody question why we were hearing this. Tony stood up with a file in his hand and opened it up. Three bio sheets of individuals were pulled out and put on the table for everyone to see. “It seem with the info that they have gathered that Hydra is or and kidnapping younger mutants.” Jean and you sighed in sorrow that the rumours were true. You didn't look over this time to see how Steve was handling the news. Instead you lean forward and read some of the facts on the sheet. One of the people pinned was a young girl with very pale skin and black as night hair. She had her nose pierced but nothing else. And there in the information part was the piece of the puzzle. The girl was a manipulator. Just like the wind tried to warn you only it couldn't get all the message out.
“Jean, Scott.”A slid the sheet to them to run down as I went over the faces and names of the other two.
“Yes, I see it.” Jean confirmed.
You clear your throat and took a deep long breathe.
“I've been having problems with my ability since I've arrived.” You openly admitted. “At first I thought it was nothing but with the recent events that have occurred,” You waved your hand between Steve and you. It was at that moment that you failed to keep your eyes straight. You were shocked by the sadness and confused set in his blue eyes. The weight of the stress had darken the blue of his eyes. You forced yourself to look away and push on, “And now with what your friends have found out. It's clear that she is here for something. If this mutant is on your grounds then we are all in grave danger.” I let my eyes fall back to the table. You really hated meetings like this.
“And what is your ability, Ms. Y/L/N?” Tony asked the dreaded question.
“We have not agreed to the alignment and I don't feel comfortable releasing that information right now.” You answered coolly without any eye contacts.
“Okay. Then why wasn't Jean and Scott's abilities effected by this as well?” Tony quickly shot the next question. This time it was Scott who answered.
“Because we don't relies on our abilities like she does. Every mutant is different. My mutation is that I can generate force beams from my eyes.” Scott tapped his red glasses. My mouth dropped open that in shock that he was ready to hash it out with them.
“Fair point.” Tony shot more question about the X-men and how we work, Jean and Scott were happy to answer their questions. Jean ended up showing her power to them. You, on the other hand, was counting down the minutes till we could leave. The mix energies you were getting from Steve was draining all that was left of your energy.
“But that still doesn't help Y/N, she could be the manipulator that's been trying to kill Steve.” Natasha's words brought out the last word the wind had slip to me.
“I'm not a manipulator.” Your defence was weak.
“How many killing attempts has happen this week?” Jean asked.
“Three times and Y/N has been there every time.” Natasha answered again. I could feel my eyes widen. The explosion for sure but the other two? You had no clue what they were talking about.
“Is this true, Captain Rogers?” You slipped the polite words to him. You couldn't bare to say his first name out loud. You was surprise that his head shot up, pain etched into his face by what you called him.
“Yes.” He dropped his head down after the painful answer.
“I see.” You looked over to Jean and Scott.
“But what about Jackie?” Clint brought up. Hatred spiked up in Steve's eyes as he stared right at you like you were the one who brought her up. You didn't but you were glad somebody did.
“She's not in this. She is just a very scared bystander.” He defended her without blinking an eye.
“Says the guy that waltz her into a very secured meeting. You know that not only put our people at risk but now you put our guest in danger as well?” Tony pointed out to Steve. His eyes shot up to mine on danger but you made yourself look away.
“Could Jackie be the manipulator?” Clint had a hand under his chin as he stared at Steve.
“Clint, what the hell? I just told you that she not in this at all!” Steve voice rose out of another anger spell.
“That's true Cap. But your not acting like yourself either.”
“Well maybe Y/N the manipulator! And she getting all of us to gain up on Jackie!” Steve shout the words but then sat down. My anger grew inside me and I couldn't believe how fast Steve could anger me. I was also furious for letting go of my anger when he's been a complete ass this whole entire meeting. We were running in circle with Steve accusing me and defending a woman he just met tonight. Anger poured out of Steve and into the room where I was now picking up on it. Then finally Steve snapped. He looked up at me with so much hatred in his eyes.
“Y/N tell us what your mutation is.” He demanded me to answer like a three year old.
“No, I don't trust you.” I simply stated while controlling my own anger. Steve let out a laugh and slam the table.
“See she refuses to tell her abilities unlike the others. She's the manipulator.” He gestured again.
“Now wait here. Just because she doesn't share personal information doesn't mean that she's to blame here. There are other ways of figuring this situation.” Scott was now losing his calm composure.
“What about the fact that only you two were suppose to show up? And then here Y/N shows up with you?” Steve continue to spat out. He was earning looks from his team but no one stopped him.
All three of our faces dropped at his news. I looked over to Scott.
“There was always suppose to be three of us.” Scott confirmed our side.
'Uh no, I have it written down that only you and Jean were attending the meeting.” Sam confirmed with Steve. This brought a smug grin onto Steve handsome face. It only made me hate him more.
“I was call to the Professor's office. He said he couldn't make this meeting and if I would go in his place.” Jean reached over and patted me on the back.
“See? She could be manipulating them now while trying to convince us.”
The room grew into a very tension situation. I was fearing that this end up in a bloody fight.
“Well then it seems that we our at a distill on our meeting.” Scott stood up , waves us up as well.”Ladies.” He nodded to the door. Scott stop and turn towards Tony and Sam. “I'm sorry that we couldn't come upon an agreement.” Scott turn and led us out of the room. But once in the hall Steve became outrageous again.
“What!?! Are you seriously just going to let her walk out of here? You know damn well that she a danger to the citizens.” Steve shouted as he stormed into the hallway after us. Tony and the rest of his team hot on his heel. Scott instantly put himself in between Steve and I. He had one had on his glasses and one hand raise for Jean. They were always prepare for things like this. Tony pulled Steve a couple steps back and murmured something in his ear.
“You can't keep her here as a prisoner. You have no proof that it is her.” Jean pointed out that fact. But her words sent spine chilling shiver down my back and into my legs. They grew weaker by the minute.
“And what if she is?” Steve pushed again. I could see the struggle in Tony Stark's eyes and it was then I knew what I had to do.
“Then I make a deal with you. I will stay here locked up while Scott and Jean return with my lawyer the Professor.” Jean moaned at my deal making skills. I ignore the smug look on Steve’s face and gave Jean a confident nodded. “I will only do this, if you isolate Jackie as well.” Steve began to protest but Natasha was the one to cut him off.
“That sounds like a reasonable plan. Both suspects lock up and then we can see from there.” Tony agreed with the plan. Steve, to no surprise, began hating the plan at the very beginning. I also put in that I want to be far away from where Jackie was being kept to Tony. He gave me a weak smile but a sharp wink.
I was granted to spend a few minutes to talk to Jean and Scott. I didn't have to defend myself or the fact that I wasn't the manipulator to them. Jean hugged me.
“Please, please be quick.” The mansion wasn't that far away but still staying at least one night here without the others was going to be very difficult.
“Chin up Y/N. We'll be back quicker then you think and the professor will sort every out like he usually do.” Scott reassured me again that the Professor had never let me down before. After another round of good-byes Tony and Steve was there to escort me to my prison. I turn back and smiled at my friends.
“You know what? Out of all the colours I pack in my clothes, I never thought to have packed orange.” I laughed at my jail joke.
