Any way I’m working on a fan sequel that takes place 200 years after the original and I really wanted to go a female protag route because I felt like there’s something untapped in such a concept. And also a second legit over powered evil king as well

I’m hoping to get the soup and heart of the series, which it’s tongue and cheek pokes at jrpgs and the roles we play in such games and how I can we do a similar vibe when it comes to both sequels, how a new set of characters act when they have the pressures of the original cast on them and as well as how our new protag is with both our titular evil king and a new king as well. My brother recently got into Demon Slayer so I wanted to make a kny oc for him since I did it before with both me and my sister and never got around to my brother :)

But I started by refreshing my own design because wow?? It’s been 4 years since I first made my kny insert character and a lot of things are now outdated! Not to mention my art has improved a lot, I hope. More details under the cut!

Meet Ebisu Koharu: youngest of the Ebisu family and physically the weakest. They only barely passed Final Selection by hiding for the entire week and surviving off tips from their older siblings. Nonetheless, they still want to contribute, which is why they hold onto a thick, leather bound book that records every demon they’ve ever met in precise detail, with labeled diagrams and scribbled calculations in the margins of different strengths and weaknesses.

After spending a few years on the job, and properly seeing their data contribute to the successes of other demon slayers, they’ve come a bit more into their own as a competent researcher and fighter, though they still do tend to request paired missions with friends and family to act more as a support role rather than a fighter.

The Ebisu family is one of scholars. The eldest daughter Kaoru is a doctor, and the eldest son Shougen is a chemist. By nature, fighting is not necessarily their strong suit, which is why their family breathing style and techniques are all poison-assisted. Of the three, Koharu is the weakest and most averse to combat— they wield a short half-length blade, with more of a smooth ceremonial hilt and sheath than any practical weapon.

man. I've been reworking a lot of content involving Act II of Home Is Where You Are and like. ugh. it'd work so freaking well in novel form but I just Do Not have the dedication or the drive to start from scratch and rewrite everything that happens.

Dear Ghost (not for long!) Journal,

I have been at the nearest to the castle source of ancient magic practically every night this past week: experimenting, timing how long I (or parts of my body) can stay in a solid state. One cannot be certain of anything when dealing with magic that hasn't really been used for centuries. But at least I know this: the more human I become, the faster I tire out. I do not think I can stay alive for more than a day without it seriously affecting me even in my ghost form. The most I can do consistently — have my hands (for writing letters) for half a way every day and then maaaybe being full Richard for almost a day once a week (but my body requires sleep as well so I will have to account for that).

I've made some interesting discoveries as well. At some point I accidentally got a paper cut from flipping the pages of my notebook, and guess what: when I turned into my ghostly form later on — the cut was still there! I have used my hands in their corporal state the most so it was rather surprising a few days later to see that my finger started healing! Does it mean that when I am human my body ages as well? Do I require food? Does it mean that there is a possibility of permanent death for me if I die in my human form? I am not sure I want to find this one out but I know some ghosts that would gladly prefer to die twice just to finally move on from this world.

Ah, and if you were curious, during the day I was mostly... Working, really. Answering letter — yes, that too. But I've been running little errands in Hogsmeade as well: I found a shopkeeper willing to lend me his broom for a few days in the middle of the week if I do some light work for him around the shop. It is a great opportunity since now I can try to be a real human being again every Thursday and not waste an entire day getting to the castle like I did last week...

Tomorrow I will try to turn fully corporal again and hang out with people! This is exciting! I didn't get a chance to eat last time so I've been craving some pumpkin pasties this whole week!

i love gravity falls for the way it introduced the author of the journals, stans twin brother, and dippers idol in one character in a really good two episode plot that adds him to the main cast and launches the series into its end-game phase,,,,and then the next episode they end up making that guy into DnD,,its amazing

He cycles through several: 1. He shifts his weight, looks over his shoulder, and reaches reflexively for his Raven Queen amulet. 2. He removes a crossbow bolt from the pouch on his belt and spins it in his fingers, then replaces it. 3. He nudges at something on the ground with one of his crutches and frowns at what it does in response, then shakes his head so his ponytail settles across on his other shoulder.

11. How does your PC show affection?

Quality tiiiiiiiime. he's so big on like. parallel play and co-vibing. he's also a gift giver, but he doesn't like the attention that can come with giving gifts? so he like.... leaves gifts for people. huh he's a cat lol

24. If your PC found a book that detailed their whole life, from birth to whatever death they’ll have, would they read it and why?

no. there would be a bit of temptation, maybe, to skip to the end and see if... see what it was like, and how much longer he has to go. he might want to revisit the memories of his childhood that have faded now, but in the end, he wouldn't. too much he doesn't want to relive, and too much he doesn't feel he would be able to know about the future without giving up, one way or the other.

42. Who is your PC’s favorite NPC(s) and why?

maggie maggie maggie maggie maggie uhhhhh i mean.... he feels safe and understood by maggie (i am still not over her calling him "v" like a cool guy) and also, of any of the people he's traveling with or adjacent to, he feels confident that, well....... everyone else will be safe too, from one (potential) threat in particular :) :')

I've been thinking about a Pikmin OC for a particular character. I've seen a lot of rly cool wraith OCs and we've seen a couple different types so I thought it might be cool to give it a try! hc that the reason ford is so terrible with earth computers despite almost certainly having encountered more recent technology + technology based on current era technology while in the multiverse is that he's gotten way too familiar with alien computers and keeps trying to make normal computers work that way
