Annabeth as Odysseus. Both too smart, too cunning, with eyes that have seen to much and dreams too big for this world.

She dreams, sometimes, of the raging sea, of bloodied fields and weary soldiers. Of the warm sun and sand of an island that feels like home. When she wakes up, the memories tug at her mind, tantalisingly out of her reach. (When storms hit the shores of the camp, she hears the roar of waves against the beach echoing in the cabin and she hides under her covers, trembling and gasping in a fear she doesn’t understand).

The first time she meets Clarisse, a new camper with wild eyes and an angry scowl she nearly calls her Achilles. (The only one to notice her hesitation is Mr D. He looks pitying for a second before retreating behind his disdainful apathy).

Percy as Penelope. Both fiercely loyal, resilient and strong. To have them as friends, as lovers, is like having a home.

Percy who flinches at smelly Gabe’s voice, who sees other men superimposed with him, stronger, taller, familiar men. He feels dread and determination rise within him. He lifts his chin. Royalty never bows to anyone. (People forget Penelope came from Sparta after all. She has smiles full of teeth and a sword in her closet).

merlin and the rest of the knights around a campfire after leaving a village bc lancelot and leon somehow started a brawl in the tavern: ???

arthur snaps his fingers as he recalls the memory: i apologized for sacking you and you said that if i bought you a drink we’d be even.

merlin now remembering how he had stumbled into camelot, picked a fight with a pigheaded bully which quickly turned homoerotic and flirtatious, and continued their teasing-flirting for days before merlin shot his shot and asked the prince out only to be rejected: oh yeah, i forgot i did that…..wait, you mean you didnt realize what i was asking?

arthur: no?? we argued everyday, how was i supposed to realize you were asking me out??

merlin now abandoning the dinner and staring across the camp at arthur while the rest of the knights watch their back and forth like a game of tennis: to you we were arguing, to me that was very much flirting. i thought you were flirting back so i decided to ask you. then you rejected me

arthur, mentally beating his past self up for fucking up their chance: i didn’t reject you!!! i just didn’t realize what you were asking me. how was i meant to? we fought every chance we got

leon, nudging elyan, glee and excitement riling through him: its happening!!! its finally happening!!! seven long, grueling years is finally paying off!!!

merlin, realizing the misunderstanding and acknowledging the fact that he wasn’t rejected, his flirtations just weren’t noticed - realizing he still has a chance: oh…oh i see. arthur, my dear, our fights were extremely flirtatious. need i remind you of what you said? “do you know how to walk on your knees? would you like me to teach you?” or “i could take you apart with one blow”

arthur, mental capabilities at an all time low: m…my dear….?????????

merlin grinning devilishly as he realizes that his flirtatious persona he had hidden away after falling head over heels for arthur can make a come back: that is what i called you. should i call you something else? say…mine?

Bruce has a habit of randomly worrying about his kids and silently lurking in their room until he's done being insane. This usually happens mid prolonged argument or after an incident on patrol that he thinks could've gone much worse.

It would be sweet, if he hadn't raised his kids to be just as paranoid as he is, making them shoot awake every time to see to their Batdad sleep paralysis demon.

I had a weirdass discworld dream where they had a new distinction for days, idk what else to call it. Like you'd have the usual - day of the week, date of the year etc - but now they also had a third thing, they were called Left Days and Right Days. And the way you could tell if it was a Left Day or a Right Day was, you'd take a small fish, preferably a sardine, you'd throw it in the air, and see how it landed.

At first people in Ankh-Morpork were all throwing their own fish, which of course caused much argument. So eventually Vetinari employed an official* Fish Thrower, who'd go out into Sator Square every morning, throw a sardine, and announce to the populace something like "today is the fourth of May, a Left Sunday" and several hundred people watching would groan** and go about their activities. The Times would print it in their daily paper too. There were rumors that this Fish Thrower was an ex-magician who specialized in sleight of hand and purposefully threw the fish to the patrician's specifications every morning.

Also, CMOT Dibbler started selling his own "Always Right Fish, Guaranteed Day Goes Right, Three For Tuppence And That's Cutting My Own Throat!", which all had the left half cut off and replaced with a glued-on right half of another fish. Incidentally, around the same time he also started selling a shitton of fish n chips.
