I was thinking about the main 9-1-1 pairings and just had the most massive brain fart:

From what I can recall, Bathena's wedding and Henren's wedding were largely uneventful the day of. No lost spouse. No sudden emergency. No cold feet. NADA. Just a good vibes day.

But for the day of the Madney wedding, it resulted in Chimney getting a brain virus that sent him around LA with fragments of his memory and ended with him in a hospital bed. (though the hospital wedding was adorable)

Pretty much insane.

So for Bathena and Henren, chill wedding day.

For Madney, crazy wedding day.

So by that logic, Buck and Eddie's wedding day might be CHAOS.

the thing is that lisbeth and karen are cloth and wire mommies but they keep switching roles depending on which Diaz brother you're talking to. for Sean Lisbeth is the cloth mommy who talks a nice soft game but whose promises are all empty bullshit, while Karen is the wire mommy whose very presence is painful but who provides support he desperately needs. for Daniel Lisbeth is the wire mommy whose rules are harsh and whose demands are physically exhausting, but who provides communion and Communion, provides the maternal nutrients he's been starved for his whole life, so he chooses her over Karen, who tries to prevent a softer alternative in the church, but isn't offering him anything tangible based in his memory. because the monkeys only reached for the wire mommies when they needed food and the brothers are both so starved in their own ways, so they hold on tight until there's nothing left and then they have to cling onto each other instead.

1. Her freshmen year of college when he was a senior & she didn't finish her degree

or

2. Karen's parents were acquainted with Ted's parents and they met at a holiday party when she was a senior in high school and he's like 5 years older than her
