It only when Velvette took a break from talking that she noticed.

You were looking for a job anyways so you agreed.

She started have feeling ok your first month of working there.

Velvette siding know how to handle this realization so she dumped it on social media of course keeping you anonymous.

Everybody with phones and internet were going wild about who was the crush of Velvette meanwhile you’re completely clueless.

It’s one another month later that you find out it was about you when you overheard Velvette talking to Vox about you.

You are so happy that to Velvette and even your own shock you confesses first, she happily accepted.

She only would only post you on social with your permission if you agree expect her half of her new recent post to be about you or if you don’t agree then she cools with that as well.

Thoughts in Reflection

A prequel to an INBOX Story idea proposed by @clowny-rolls (Thanks for the idea!!!)

The illustration is inspired by a drawing a friend of mine did of Spamton, but it's currently not uploaded anywhere. Sorry guys. 😭

The year was 1994.

Spamton G. Spamton, a former Addison and a now esteemed entrepreneurial businessman who founded BIG SHOT AUTOS was one day asked, "Mr. Spamton, are you seeing anyone?"

Much to Spamton's chagrin, the one asking was his close friend Bant, a Blue Addison who was the only one of his former friends and coworkers with whom he stayed in contact. He leaned against the wall, waiting for any chance to talk to Spamton once he was off the phone.

Spamton rolled his eyes. "Why are you asking?"

"You haven't seen any ladies, have you? I figured with your newfound success, the women would be flocking to you." Bant chuckled.

Spamton raised his hand and dismissed this with a gesture. "I'm too busy."

"Not too busy for me, though." Bant smirked.

Spamton froze and his cheeks flushed pink.

Bant tilted his head, flashing that iconic closed-eye Addison grin. "Hey, if you're interested, one of the restaurants Sen's been running fliers for is setting up blind dates. I've been the one coordinating things to bring people together. The restaurant has had a nice uptick in business since! The campaign is running for another week. It might be kind of fun to try it out. I can set you up with a cute girl, exactly your type!"

Spamton narrowed his eyes at the mention of Sen, or Yahoosen, the Yellow Addison he once worked so closely with but did not believe in his vision. Hearing Bant's involvement softened his expression but not his demeanor. "That sounds stupid. How will this benefit me at all?"

"If you have a good time, you could leave them a good review, and then I can convince the owner to vouch for your shop whenever they need a new car or some fixing. What do you think?" Bant's smile widened.

Spamton raised a brow. "Uh, give me a moment. Step out of my office for a bit."

Bant sighed. "What for?"

"I need to make a call, obviously!" Spamton said as he sat down at his desk with his finger already on the dial.

Bant huffed and pushed off the wall. "Fine. Let me know when you're done." He slipped out, closed the door behind him, and paced the hall. Although he was just outside the office, he could not hear what Spamton was talking about. Thankfully, the call was brief, and only a few moments later, Spamton opened the door, looking up at Bant. "OKAY. I will do it!" He adjusted his collar and flashed a handsome, toothy smile.

Bant blinked. "Huh? Really? Did whoever you were talking to on the phone tell you it was a good idea?" He laughed a little awkwardly.

"Huh?! Why would I ask my esteemed business partner about something so silly?" Spamton laughed, dismissively waving his hand. "Go on! Set me up with this blind date! I trust you know my tastes in women well."

Bant furrowed his brows. Having known Spamton for years, he knew when he wasn't totally genuine, and this seemed to be one of those moments, but he smiled anyway. "Okay, I will. I'm sure not to disappoint you!" ☎️☎️☎️

Waiting in a hallway near the restrooms was a small lady, a White Addison. She wore a silken pink dress far too expensive for her salary and tied her hair up in a matching pink bow. People passing by stared at her, whispering words she did not want to hear.

Bant approached her. "Ah, Ms. Thetalan, you look quite lovely. That dress Orvar loaned you fits you nicely!"

Orvar, short for Orvarstok, was an Orange Addison who worked with Bant. He advertised clothing curated by Queen herself, ranging from everyday wear to fine garments. Through their established trust, Bant easily convinced him to loan a dress on the promise he'd foot the dry-cleaning bills afterward.

She turned to the Blue Addison and smiled meekly. "You think so? I hope he likes it, too."

"He definitely will. You are exactly his type." Bant winked. "He is an esteemed businessman, so he has fine tastes. He should be here within the next five to ten minutes. Just wait here for now."

"Fine tastes?" She blushed. "Okay. I will wait right here," she answered meekly. She watched him disappear down the corner. She was certain this guy was the same Blue Addison she saw with that man she fell in love with a year ago—a man who appeared to be a White Addison like her but with black hair. She etched his name into her heart: Spamton G. Spamton.

Despite her suspicions, Thetalan didn't dare pry too much about the Blue Addison's possible relations. He approached her directly while she was walking down the street and asked if she would like to participate in a blind date with all the expenses paid to support a local restaurant. Usually, she'd be wary of such things, but because of his familiarity, her intuition told her to trust him and take on this offer. She told him about the kind of man she wanted to meet, and he said, "Ah, perfect. I know just the guy for you! He is a handsome businessman and not too unlike an Addison." He raised his head and pointed at his own nose. "What, with one of these just like us!"

Few Darkners chose to court Addisons outside of work-related reasons, but this Blue Addison described someone so specific that she could only think of one person, and it was him. To have this opportunity of seeing Spamton again... It made her tremble with excitement.

With bated breath, she gazed into the nearby mirror, trying to collect herself. Though she was excited, anxiety swarmed her entire being. She hadn't seen this man since last year and wondered if he remembered her. He occupied her mind constantly, and as she stared into her beautified reflection, her hands wringing restlessly, she thought, "He has no idea how much I wish he could see me."

Can you recommend like a fun, silly, summery drama? I'm looking for similar vibes as Cheer Up or Age of Youth (female friendships are a plus). It's hard to find something without melodrama.

First off, I LOVE your user icon! (- ‿◦ )

And I definitely want to help you find something silly and easy to watch, especially as we enter the depths of winter! Some of these are a little less slice of life but still fun. Also I know you already watched/mentioned a couple of these but I'm adding them to the list for everyone else who might be game!

Light Hearted Fun K-dramas (little or no melo)

Soundtrack #1 (slice of life/romance) Best friends for almost 20 years, the two leads start having feelings for one another while working on a project. This drama only has a few episodes which is a shame because it's really cute! As a Park Hyung Sik Stan (sorry but Happiness broke me), he's great in this one and he hasn't lost all of his military weight yet which I LOVE :D

Fanletter Please! (slice of life/ romance) A sick child writes fan letters to her favorite star, an actress who for kdrama reasons is afraid of fan letters. This was a super sweet, short drama - I really liked it so much!

Into The Ring (workplace/romcom): The perfect slice-of-life rom com! Goo Se Ra has trouble holding down a job due to her passionate personality so after she loses her latest job working for the ML, she decides to run for a small government office position because it pays a salary. Literally she does it for the money which is just *chef’s kiss.* The show is about her dealing with local politics and it’s SO FUNNY and smart and the OTP is the best! 

King The Land (rom/com): A cold chaebol hotel owner meets his match (literally and figuratively) who is a top notch employee. There's a lot of push pull and the ML (MY BIAS!) Lee Junho's character falls hard and fast. It does have slow moments but if you literally want to watch a happy couple be happy (plus the skinship is chef's kiss and there is so much of it) you'll enjoy this one.

Melo Is My Nature (slice of life): This drama is by far my favorite slice-of-life drama of 2019. Found family, strong and complex characters, I laughed, I cried. Plus a gay character that’s an actual character, with the gay as a casual side note (classy k-drama!!) It was just a perfect show for me. There’s romance, but all of the stories are super interesting.

Top Management (slice of life) I know this show is mainly on Youtube Premium BUT I just got an email from Youtube basically saying “hey we know you never want to pay to watch our shows so we’re just going to let you ok?” so that’s something… Adorable mini drama about a girl who can see the future and becomes the rookie manager for a kpop band. Fun and easy.

Business Proposal (rom/com) Seriously this drama is almost the exact same plot as The Secret Life of My Secretary. It's really fun and cute (just like the latter) and if you like one, you'll like the other ;-)

True To Love / Bo Rah Deborah (rom/com) Bo Rah is a relationship expert publishing her book. She works with a man who is her total opposite making it a cute enemies to lovers. Yoo in Ah is literally so adorable I love watching her! (If I'm honest I can't remember a TON about this drama but I do remember it being an easy watch).

Her Private Life (romcom): Park Min Young really knows how to pick dramas. I loved this one about a museum curator who is secretly a fangirl obsessed with an idol. It’s fun and fluffy but does have a very mild childhood trauma thing with his mother but I mean, 99% of dramas like this do? If you like this one, Touch Your Heart and Why Secretary Kim are by the same person and have similar vibes.

Touch Your Heart (rom/com) A sweet, silly and very mild rom com about a serious boss and his hallyu star secretary. This show was an obvious response to the chemistry that Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na had in Goblin so it was nice to see them together again. Yoo In Na is such a fun person to watch!

Fight for My Way (slice of life/romcom): I love this drama! Always a fave for me, this drama is funny and heartwarming! The leading lady is a strong female which I LOVE, and Park Seo Joon plays her really cute down to earth best friend. It’s a childhood friends to lovers trope with a group of regular people (no rich heirs in this show!) and has a happy ending and a lot of cute flirting, cuddling and kissing. Argh I love these two!

Age of Youth 1 (slice of life): Age of Youth/ Hello My Twenties is one of the best k-dramas that centers around strong female friendships. A group of wildly different girls find themselves rooming together in an apartment. Lots of romance too, but the girl’s lives and friendships are the primary focus.

Shopping King Louie (romcom): Ridiculously fun and lighthearted romp following a spoiled and useless chaebol with amnesia who is being taken care of by a country bumpkin in the city. Very low stakes, super adorable couple, and as many tropes as you can fit in your bag, this one is one of my favorites to recommend.

Eulachacha Waikiki / Laughter In Waikiki (slice of life comedy, romance) I hope you’re ready for a crazy amount of unlikely situations and nutty hijinks because this show is probably one the most silly ones I’ve ever watched. It follows a group of friends who own a hostel so it’s a slice of life drama. At certain points I was like “this is TOO silly” but I’m glad I stuck with it cause it was so hilarious. Plus, the baby is a star!

Wok of Love (rom/com) Despite the fact that the show was shortened by two episodes because of sports, this drama is a funny and quirky show worth watching. Many people dropped it because it was SO crazy for the first couple of episodes (it has a talking horse people!), but it does settle into a really sweet and fun story about a chef, a gangster and a rich girl and her family. If you love food, this show is for YOU!

And finally, if you don't mind a bit of melo, I highly recommend Run On!

CROWN PRINCESS VISITS ICONIC SIMDIAN SITE

Her Royal Highness visited the iconic and much= beloved cultural heritage site in northern Simdia, The Lotus Palace. 

Aside from the postcard-worthy palace itself, which boasts three massive sparkling domes, the sprawling complex also features multiple gardens, fountains, and a world-famous reflecting pool. 

The Lotus Palace, built some 400 years ago, was a present by King Raja to his wife, Queen Rani. Legend has it that The King, so in love with the beautiful young Princess Rani from a neighbouring kingdom, had an entire lake covered with beautiful lotus blossoms, his beloved’s favourite flowers. Touched by the King’s dedication to win her affection, Princess Rani finally accepted his proposal and the two wed in a lavish ceremony, with celebrations that lasted for a month. 

(Above: The Crown Princess was given an exclusive tour by the palace’s head curator. The entire palace complex was closed to the public, giving HRH a very rare and intimate look at the cultural treasure.)

However, a massive cyclone tore through the country and left the lake -and the flowers- in ruins. The royal priests claimed that the destruction was a sign that the gods did not approve of the royal union, and they called for the dissolution of the King and Queen’s marriage. Outraged, the King instead ordered that the lake be filled in, and a massive palace be built in his Queen’s honour. The resulting structure was a marvel to behold, and at that time, was the tallest and largest building in Simdia. The domes are made to resemble lotus blossoms, and the building itself features thousands of carvings of lotus motifs, hence the name, “Lotus Palace.”

The King famously remarked: “No cyclone is strong enough to destroy this palace, just as nothing in this world will ever destroy my love for my Queen.” True enough, the Lotus Palace still stands with its limestone domes and marble walls, just as beautiful as the day it was completed. And what of King Raja and Queen Rani? The two had a happy and peaceful marriage, and was blessed with thirteen children. The King died at age 82, less than a month after the Queen’s passing. It is said that so strong was their love for each other that neither cyclones nor death could tear them apart.

With such a romantic backstory, it’s no wonder that the place is frequented by lovers -and singletons- from all over the world who wish to find true love and happiness with their soulmate. We can’t help but wonder if Crown Princess Anya made a wish by the reflecting pool to finally meet her true love?

Well, wish or not, one thing’s for sure, Her Royal Highness looked beautiful during her outing. The Crown Princess wore a white pleated dress, which she paired with a pink blazer and a matching pink head scarf. HRH wore her grandmother’s gold watch, and finished off her ensemble with a pair of nude pumps.

Reigen thinks it’s only appropriate, for a business, to branch out and follow the latest trends—to come up with new ways to put himself, and his name, and his office out there. Yes, he’s stood out on the street and handed out flyers, made a website, shot peace signs at passing cameras, but he still found that business was slow lately, boringly so; only emails and articles to fill the time.

He decides to download a dating app.

You haven't dated since high school—and even then, it was a bit of a fruitless endeavor. At your age, you have a handful of friends you’ve hung on to since your younger years, but you found there was no room to form new friendships; what with work taking up most of your time and energy. And sure, you’ve gone out for drinks with your coworkers and attended several work functions, but it was more out of obligation than any real attempt at looking to grow closer.

There was no room for a romantic angle in any of your current relationships. You didn’t want that. Even in your online communities, there wasn’t really anyone you were interested with in that type of manner, content to stay as just friends, just acquaintances, coworkers and space-sharers.

So you tried the popular dating app. At the least, you’ve exchanged several messages with people, but nothing ever came out of them; there’s been the occasional talks of potentially meeting up here and there, but they would suddenly ghost you when the prospect actually came up, messages left on read and chatboxes dead.

You entertained the idea of finally finding the person you’ve been searching for, swiping left and right during breaks and curled up in bed for weeks, months on end; slowly and slowly coming to terms with the fact that dating apps were just a waste of time, only for the occasional hookup, only for a quick fuck.

And then you matched with him.

“The greatest psychic of the twenty-first century,” as his bio put it, was an account seemingly run by a real person—but it appeared that he was only there to promote his sketchy-sounding business, based on the wording of the rest of his bio; advertising and proposing various menu options.

He probably likes every profile that comes up, you think as you liked his, just to see what would happen; tired, and jaded, and very much wanting to go to bed. This Reigen Arataka, with his goofy selfie for an icon and an album full of poorly-shot photos of what must be his office, and handshakes, and a map leading from the nearest station.

You scanned his bio again. Seances, and purification techniques, and apparently specialty items and charms—but you didn’t want to copy and paste the website typed at the bottom, didn’t want to see what he sold for what price. You only wanted to roll over and charge your phone.

Sure enough, the notification saying the two of you had matched popped up, prompting you to message him.

He beat you to it.

In the chatbox, you simply stared. Letters encased in emojis, smiley faces and waving hands; you weren’t sure what to say. He must have seen that you’ve seen.

You were in bed, with a pillow shoved underneath you in a way that strained your neck but supported your back. You were both off work, retired for the day and chatting the night away.

You don’t know how your conversations turned into this—less selling on his end and more genuine intrigue on yours. You started messaging him during your breaks at work, and he wasn’t always able to respond right away—he has his own business to attend to, after all—but he always replied by the end of the day, answering your questions and responding to your rising curiosity.

It was him who offered to exchange numbers, one day, out of the blue. You would have given it to him freely, had you worked up the courage faster. It was also him who had sent the first selfie, him and his goofy face, unprompted, sitting at his desk, blurry, endearing, in the middle of your lunch break. You had sent one back and he appraised your looks.

You entertained the idea.

K-Dramas For A Rainy Day

I don’t know, it’s raining where I live and I just wanted to make a list of K-Dramas that either have rain scenes I like or that I would want to watch on a rainy day.

This obviously isn’t going to be a comprehensive list of every K-Drama I’ve seen with rain scenes or anything. Honestly, K-Dramas and rain seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly. You could probably watch whatever K-Drama you want to and find a rain scene.

For me, rainy days elicit a feeling of wanting to be cozy, warm and dry while nursing a hot cup of apple cider or hot chocolate. So most of these shows (unsurprisingly) are also on my Comfort K-Drama List.

Doom At Your Service

Honestly, this drama has such an iconic (in my opinion) rain kiss scene. On top of that, I love the whole “running through the rain” thing.

W: Two Worlds Apart

There’s a fair number of rain scenes in this show. I’ll be honest though, even if this drama didn’t have any rain scenes, I’d watch this on a rainy day since it’s a comfort show.

It’s fluffy, it’s cute, there’s that scene where Eun Dan Oh ran through the rain in her hospital gown to find Haru.

Even if I’m remembering the scene wrong and it wasn’t raining, I’d still have this drama on this list.

Romance Is A Bonus Book

Again, I never said this list wasn’t going to be biased. Seriously though, the vibes alone are enough to make it on this list. This show just gives me the feeling of being wrapped up all warm and cozy in a blanket by a window sill while it’s raining and reading my favorite book as I sip some hot chocolate.

This show has got fluff, rainy day scenes, one of my biases, books, snowy day scenes (the kind of weather I wish I could get where I live), one of my favorite tropes (friends to lovers), one of my biases…

Angel’s Last Mission: Love

You’ve got rain scenes, a cute angel, some of my favorite tropes (surprisingly), ballet (if you’re into that). Rain is actually a pretty important to the plot of this show as it causes Angel Dan’s wings to appear.

Goblin: The Lonely and Great God

This show has plenty of rain scenes as the Goblin, Kim Shin, has an affect on the weather depending on his mood. Whenever he’s sad, it will rain.

That being said, not all of the rain scenes in this show happen because he’s sad.

Splash Splash Love

No rainy day list for K-Dramas would be complete without this short, cute drama.

The entire 2 episode show revolves around rain. The plot is literally about a girl escaping her problems by jumping into a puddle on a rainy day and only being to get back home via the same method.

Business Proposal

Rain is also an important aspect of this Netflix show as well as Shin Ha Ri finds rainy days to be romantic, while Kang Tae Moo is actually traumatized by rain and suffers from panic attacks(?) whenever he’s in the rain.

Shopping King Louie/Shopaholic Louis

Another cozy, fluffy K-Drama that’s one of my confort dramas. There’s plenty of rain scenes, including some which lead to some sick-comfort scenes as the female lead, Go Bok-shil gets sick whenever there’s a thunderstorm at night.

Abyss

This K-Drama is on Netflix and it has a few rainy day scenes, including one very life altering rainy night for the female lead as she happens to get murdered (but don’t worry, she’s very much alive and well and rocking a new body that matches her soul!)

While You Were Sleeping

I feel like this list is somehow calling me out because there’s like…3 shows on here with Lee Jong Suk. I mean, the list has my other biases on here at least once or twice.

Anyway, this drama has all sorts of weather from rain to snow, but there’s a very particular rainy day that is an important plot point as one of the female lead’s premonition dreams is about her dying on a rainy day.

Café Minamdang

Some people didn’t like this show, I personally thoroughly enjoyed it. I only gave it a chance because of Seo In Guk and was not disappointed.

There’s a really awesome fight in the rain scene in the last episode that is basically the original reason why it’s on my list.
