WEEK OF REVO. DAY 3: EMBARRASING SITUATION/ TECHNOLOGY// GAMING

“I don't understand this game," said the puzzle spirit, dropping the cards on the table, Anzu laughed loudly at the blush that flooded his cheeks and the annoyed expression on his face.

It had all started when, while they were in a study session, Mr. Motou had walked in with a box in his hands, he had received a new set of cards; the old man had heard that it was very popular in the United States and had ordered one to see if it would be a good addition to his shop.

Yugi and Anzu had started playing "cards against humanity" interested by the strange rules; soon, it was noticed that Anzu had a clear advantage in the game.

After 9 rounds, Anzu had discovered a truly competitive side to herself and was happy for the opportunity to beat her friend "the king of duels" in such a simple board game. Yugi was a sweet and shy boy, so his reactions to the answers on the cards were really funny.

When one of the girl's moves had caused Yugi to choke on his drink, Anzu had laughed so hard that tears came to her eyes; once her laughter ended, she was surprised to find that the boy in front of her was no longer her childhood friend, but the Pharaoh of the Millennium Puzzle.

Noticing the girl's confused face, the young man had explained to her that Yugi seemed to "not want to die from drinking and laughing at the same time" although the amused smile the pharaoh had sent her, let her know that the reason was more the boy's wounded pride.

"I'm here to take aibou's place in the game," he said, with the deep look he only showed to his Duel monster opponents. Anzu nervously agreed, confident that the pharaoh's serious temperament would surely play against him.

Five rounds later the dancer laughed as she noticed that she was right.

"You can give up" Anzu joked, looking up at him from under her eyelashes with an innocent smile. The pharaoh blinked in surprise, feeling his heart race; there was something extremely appealing about the confidence Anzu was displaying that afternoon. Her bright smile and excited eyes made her look much prettier than usual. 

"Never," he replied with a crooked smile in return. She made a little noise with her throat, in clear mockery.

The cards were dealt once more. After drawing a question card and placing it in the centre of the table, the pharaoh watched his hand carefully. Anzu watched with amusement as his brow furrowed as he tried to find the best answer to the question.

At the same time, they both placed their card face down on the table, staring at each other.

"Alright Pharaoh, answer" Anzu took the question card from the centre and with a smile read out loud:

"You must be sure to ____ twice a day."

With a smile of triumph the boy turned his face down card and held it up between his fingers for the young girl to see.

"My answer is: Kiss me!" he said with the same confidence he would display in the dueling arena.

At first the duelist didn't understand why the room had gone silent, nor why Anzu's face was so red. Slowly, he became aware of the full sentence that had been formed by his move.

You must be sure to _KISS ME_ twice a day.

"KISS-ME" Suddenly the room felt very hot.

"No!...wait, I..." he exclaimed incoherently. Feeling the frantic pounding of her heart it was impossible for him to maintain a calm expression. Anzu looked away with her cheeks flushed. 

Like an echo, the phrase replayed over and over in his head. Surprisingly, a soft chuckle filled the place. The pharaoh looked up and stared at the girl in surprise; Anzu was watching him again from under her eyelashes.

"I think you won this time," she whispered, tucking a lock of her hair behind one ear in a flirtatious, unconscious gesture. Yami's stomach flipped, a part of him wondering if the girl's skin would be as soft to the touch as it looked to the eye.

His mouth feeling dry, the pharaoh just nodded his head. They watched each other in silence for a few minutes, blushing and their eyes bright with hope. 

"Another round?" Pharaoh asked, throwing her that smile that made Anzu's knees tremble.

"Sure" She replied, winking at him.
