And lastly, on the Zootowski family tree, Zephyr's parents!!

Next to Barry (the cat guy, step dad to Lazer and Penny), these two were by far the most difficult for me to design. At first I struggled with deciding if Zephyr's mum or dad would be on the Zootowski side of the family, eventually I decided it'd be her mum since I didn't want Camilla to be the only girl. Her dad's first colour palette was a lot brighter and was more pinkish compared to what it is now, but the colours felt too loud and made them duller

Onto the small facts!

-Her parents names as Dorothy and Sully (Sullivan) Smith, with Dorothy being on the Zootowski family tree. Dorothy runs a bakery parlour/cafe, where she teaches cooking lessons and creates cakes for occasions such as birthdays and weddings. Sully works as a barista for her cafe

-Sully is one of Mick's old biker friends. He's considered the pretty face of the group, though Sully at the time wasn't all that fussed about a relationship while he and his friends where on the road. He met Dorothy at Mick and Terri's belated wedding (Sully was the one who helped set Mick and Terri up in New Orleans when they moved)

-Dorothy is Carlos's younger twin sister, and Carlos did not like Sully at first. At worst, Sully thought Carlos was annoying, but now that both are older they're better at getting along. Carlos still gives Sully the stink eye from time to time, he'll never quite stop seeing Dorothy as his precious little sister

-Dorothy fell first but Sully fell harder

-Sully used to not like sweet things when he was apart of Mick's biking group, but now he's rather fond of sweet things, especially the cakes his wife makes

-Were very excited to start a family, spoiled Zephyr absolutely rotten. It was only when Zephyr was born did Sully start to give Carlos some slack over how protective he was of Dorothy, because he's the exact same way with Zephyr

-They're opposites in a lot of ways. Sully isn't a morning person whereas Dorothy is, Sully is tall and Dorothy is short, Dorothy can become flustered rather easily but it takes a bit more with Sully

Weremayhem: Prey of Tiger. Ch 6: Feelings of Fear

  In the morning, Zoot wakes up to the sun shining down on his face. The dark blue haired male sat up and let out a yawn. He looked around the living room. The saxophonist noticed he was the only person up right now. His dark blue curly hair fell on his shoulders. 

The sun shows some tangles and rat nests in his hair. “Great” groan Zoot. Suddenly a sound of footsteps on the stairs caught his attention. He looked over and saw it was Teeth. The ginger haired male was wearing his royal purple robe. His hair softly drags on the ground. The doc’s beard was messy. 

“Zoot?” asked Dr. Teeth with a yawn. He rubbed his eyes as he looked at the saxophonist. 

“What are you doing up this early?” the ginger haired male asked as he walked over to the couch. 

“I couldn’t sleep last night so I came down here to sleep on the couch” replied Zoot. He looked at the band leader. The good doctor sat down next to him. 

“Oh” replied Teeth as he looked over at the dark blue haired male. Some blush appears on Zoot’s cheeks as he looks at the doc. The saxophonist can’t lie, he secretly has a crush on the band leader. How couldn’t he? 

Dr. Teeth have a good personality and make the dark blue haired male happy. He wanted to tell the good doctor how he felt but a fear kept him back. It wasn’t that Teeth would just friend zone him. 

It was ... .that Teeth was a predator species of wereanimal. A feline. A big cat with stripes like a tiger….like Zale. 

He remembers when he first met the doc and the band. The night he found out the ginger haired male was a type of feline. Zoot remembers being uncomfort for a while in their wereforms. The saxophonist has gotten used to it and is comfortable but the event of his father’s death, it still holds him back. 

It still makes him have that fear of felines. Mostly ones with spots. 

“Zoot?” asked Teeth. 

“Yes?” replied the dark blue haired male as he shook his head a bit. 

“You okay?” replied the ginger haired male. 

“Yeah, I’m fine,” replied Zoot as he looked at the ground. There was a bit of silence between the two males. 

“You did a number to the bathroom” said the good doctor. 

“Oh. Sorry” replied the saxophonist. 

“It’s fine” replied the ginger haired male. 

Later that day, Zoot was laying on the couch when Zac walked over. The little brother looked down at his big brother. “Hey brother” said the dark red haired male with a smile on his face. 

“What do you want?” replied the dark blue haired male with a raised eyebrow. 

“Nothing much! I just want to see what you are doing?” replied Zac with a soft chuckle. 

“I’m just taking a nap” replied Zoot as he rolled over on the couch. 

“Alright, see you later” replied the little brother before leaving. 

His smile turned to a frown. He knows what happened last night in the bathroom. He heard it through the door. Well, he actually somehow saw some of it. Zac sometimes can enter into the minds of people he is close to. The dark red haired male let out a sigh. 

Their father’s death happened when he was a baby. The little brother doesn't remember it or have been told of it. His sister, Zora, just told him that it is an event that should not be talked about. Especially around Zoot and their mother. 

He remembers when growing up, a member of their father’s mafia would always be over to keep the family safe or just be a father figure to the kids. He was a kind man. His name was Muhsin and he was a werebloodhound. Muhsin was the best father figure for them. He also helps their mother, especially with her fear of men due to Zale. 

Muhsin is the father that they wish was their real father. They don’t want to be known as the kids of Zale Zootowski. 

Zac shakes his head before heading into the backyard. In the backyard, Animal was kicking an old soccer ball around the yard. Janice was picking some flowers. Floyd and Lips had gone to the store.

Under some trees, Teeth were relaxing. He had put his hair up into a ponytail. The cool air felt nice on his skin. The doc was in a tank top and some shorts. His glasses shine in the sunlight. The ginger haired male let out huff of air. “It was nice out today” he thought to himself with a soft smile on his face. Teeth slowly drift off to sleep under the trees. 

In his mind, Dr. Teeth sit up in a black void. “Huh?” he said out loud in his mind. The band leader got up and looked around him. Only darkness was around him. It started to give him the chills. It felt like someone was watching him. 

“I am watching” said a voice. The voice was deep, ghostly like. 

Teeth quickly turn and look around. “Who are you!?” he yelled in a panic tone. The ginger haired male’s hands ball up into fists. The doc was ready to throw hands at the person or thing. 

Suddenly a large hand smacked down in front of him. The hand had long fingers with sharp nails on the tips. The person was old by the wrinkles and folds of the skin on its hand. The skin also looks smooth like a stick of butter. 

“You don’t remember me?” asked the voice. 

“No! I don’t even know who you are! I never met you!” replied the good doctor as his eyes narrowed. 

“Oh dear” replied the voice is a fake sad tone of voice. “Maybe this will help,” the voice added. 

Red lights appear, the lights start to shape into forms. One light shape into a smilodon, a big one at that. The other light has shaped into a creature he knew too well. A wereanimal hunter. Small red lights have shape shifts into kittens, one looking like Teeth. 

“What does this mean?” asked Dr. Teeth with a hiss coming from his throat. 

“Just watch” replied the voice. 

The lights start to move, playing a scene. The hunter throws a spear at one of the kittens. The spear hit the kitten’s thigh but only left a nasty cut. The band leader saw the shape of the wound and realized he saw the scar of it. 

It was on his triplet sister, Luna. 

The scenes kept going. The smilodon and the wereanimal hunter start to fight. The two beasts  fight until another light appears. It was in the shape of a Cheshire cat. The Feline attacks the hunter and lands the final kill bite through the hunter’s skull. 

Like it was nothing…

He remembers now…..It happened a few weeks after being born. Teeth heard the story from Arlo, his father’s friend. 

“See now?” asked the voice. 

“Yes but I still don’t know you. I only know how you die” replied Dr. Teeth. 

“I never said my name, have I?” replied the voice. 

“Yes” replied the ginger haired male. 

“Well, then” replied the voice before clearing his throat. 

“My name is….Ahinnmoth! The greatest wereanimal hunter that ever lived!” replied the voice as the room turned to a blood red color. It reveals Ahinnmoth’s full body. 

A skeksis skull was its head and face. Long saber-like fangs hang out of its beak. Its body was covered in layers and layers of black feathers. It was also covered in eyeballs that were blood red. The beast’s legs were needle-like except for its hands that were hanging from its back. A long black tail, covered in feathers like a peacock, sat on the ground. 

Dr. Teeth’s eyes grow wide with horror. Fear ran down his spine. “What do you want with me?” the band leader asked. 

“It’s easy. I want my revenge” replied Ahinnmoth with a bit of a snarl. 

“But I didn’t kill you” replied the doc with a growl. 

“True.” replied the beast. Its three eyes on its skull look down at the doc. 

“I have tried to enter in your father’s mind to get my revenge but ... .I couldn’t. Some force stopped me from entering! It was like a wall. I tried your mother but the same thing has happened.” it added with a snarl. 

“You’re my only way to get my revenge. A death of one of their beloved kids” said Ahinnmoth with an evil laugh. 

“No,” replied Teeth. “No!” he added with anger. 

“I will not let you kill me for something my parents did!” yelled the band leader in rage. His eyes turn gold yellow. 

“Oh, we will see,” replied the beast before it started to laugh like a mad man. The room starts to fade back to darkness. 

“No! No! Come back here!” yelled the ginger haired male as he tried to run after Ahinnmoth. 

Suddenly he woke up in a cold sweat. The doc was still under the trees. He looked down at his hands and noticed his nails had turned into claws. “Damnit” Dr. Teeth groan. 

“What a weird dream” he said to himself. 

“At least…..I hope it was a dream” the ginger haired male added.

I recently brought an autumn themed jumper which felt very Liv coded, so I drew her in it!

Working on some Muppet-y doodles + height references with new characters and wanted to redraw Zephyr's ref design for it, but I decided to also make this side by side comparison of the first time I drew Zephyr's design versus the most recent, I am SO happier with how I draw her hair now!

While cleaning up some more doodles for Zephyr's parents yesterday I remembered two old Zoot cousin facts back when the cousins where still in the rough design phase:

-One idea I had for the cousins was to make one of them a police officer. With how often the band get into trouble I thought it'd be funny if Zoot had a relative that worked in the police force he, though very unimpressed, would always get them out of whatever trouble they got roped into. This character would have been second to oldest, younger then Zephyr, and would have had a similar sort of attitude like Penny: she'd have been to the point, a little sarcastic and tired. Eventually though this character was scrapped and replaced with Raph's character

-After I scrapped the idea of Lazer and Liv being siblings, I had another idea of giving Liv a younger sibling instead. I didn't really explore this idea much since I scrapped it shortly after, but they would have been around 10 years old and him and Liv would have gotten along decently. With their being such a big age gap between them (Liv in cannon is in her early twenties) Liv doesn't usually fall into bickering with him, but they would have squabbled occasionally like siblings. One of my first ideas with this character would have involved him possibly appearing in a chapter of Hired Sparky, where Liv has to watch him for her parents but has work at the studio, so has to bring him along with her. He would have gotten along great with the band while Liv would have preferred to stand off to the side and work, but gets dragged into the conversation regardless.

Next up on the Zootowski family tree, and whose designs I made ages ago, Liv's parents!~

In hindsight, I think it would have made the MOST sense for me to post the designs for Liv's parents first given how popular Liv is (she's basically my main muppet OC), but my inspiration and love for Camilla won me over so these guys got put on the back burner until I could finish up the bonus drawings!

Small facts:

-Her parents names are Felix and Emily Grayson, with Felix being on the Zootowski family tree. Felix runs a small technician business (how Liv became a technician in the first place, Felix offered her some work experience once she was old enough) and Emily is a florist

-They dated in school. Felix was the chief of the badminton team and Emily was the champion of the girls swim team. Out of the two, Emily is more chatty, so she was the one to make the first move and ask out Felix

-While Felix isn't antisocial or shy, he's not overly social either. His anxiety wasn't as bad as his daughters when he was in school, but it did hold him back from pursuing music. He was in the school band for a short time on the clarinet, but dropped out after his first year

-Aside from badminton and music, Felix also enjoys mystery themed books and movies, astrology and nature (bugs specifically). He's very good at drawing realistic insects thanks to how much of a nerd he is. Emily enjoys gardening, textiles and glass work, she attends art classes on the weekend with some of her friends from the florist shop

-Felix has a business handshake that can crack walnuts

-Felix is older than Carlos but is just a tad shorter. When Carlos first started to grow taller then him during his later teen years he was unashamedly smug about it, and still is to this day. Alas, Carlos is immune to Felix's deadpanned reminders that he's the younger one out of the two

-Growing up Zoot was the closest relative that lived nearby, so Zoot was Liv's babysitter when she was a kid....Sadly, most of the time this ended up with Zoot misplacing his teenie, oblivious cousin, on accident of course! Thankfully Liv doesn't remember any of those times (Purple OC in the last drawing belongs to @posies-and-bundles)

Working on some Muppet art for the next addition to the Zootowski family tree, the twins parents, but it's taking a bit longer then I thought due to my new work contract (basically means I got a whole new schedule and I hate drastic schedule changes, I'm still adjusting to it).

In the meantime I've been thinking about Camilla (she's close with the twins parents) and decided to make a small post of headcannons with her:

-Camilla is a walking dumpster and will eat anything, she's notorious for eating eggs raw. It endlessly disturbs the rest of her family (aside from Zephyr's mum who is unphased but it). When eating hard boiled eggs, one of her favourite snacks, she eats them with the shell on because she "likes the crunch"

-Due to her habit of eating foods which generally aren't considered normal, Tina especially is very unnerved by her. Camilla has no idea and thinks of Tina as a good friend (if a bit straight laced and to the point)

-Animals are scared of her due to her large size, which upsets her a lot since she loves cute animals.

-I've mentioned this before but all the good genes went to her muscles, out of everyone on the Zoot family tree she's the least tactical despite being one of the oldest

-She grew up in Rio where she raised Raph, making a career for herself in sport. Raph's side of the family is incredibly sporty, very unusual compared to his oldest cousin Zoot who is...well, the total opposite. Camilla has done plenty of sport in her time, football, volley ball, wrestling and boxing being the main ones. Before becoming a mother she played for local sport teams, but when Raph came along and she began teaching him how to play certain sports, she decided to become a coach. She mostly teaches older kids and adults since teaching kids makes her worry, she knows how strong she is and worries about accidentally hurting them

-She can play the guitar, and pretty damn well despite having huge hands. It was a cheap method Camilla tried out as a way to put herself out there more, she started learning when Raph was a kid and she was feeling lonely about being a single mum. Now days she's a lot less self conscious about it, but playing the guitar does in fact help her pick up chicks (even if she has no clue how to handle the attention)

-Camilla sometimes speaks in the third person

-Due to her strength and build, Camilla is rarely ever scared. You can make her jump and she can get nervous, but she's rarely be scared scared. Due to all the years she spent doing sport she's a hard hitter and can more then hold her own, it definitely helped build her confidence. Anytime she comes across a muppet-y monster looking creature she's hardly phased by it

-She owns a "Free Hugs" shirt and wears it to Pride

-Relentlessly religious about self care and physical well being, when she was younger she'd sometimes overwork herself or get herself busted up in wrestling that resulted in a bad injury or scar, so she's very aware and cautious of her own limits and others

-Panicked the fuck out when Raph started randomly teleporting without warning. It seems Zoot and his cousins all got some weird freaky power, which their parents skipped out on. Raph's ability is to teleport (shamelessly inspired by Sans from undertale), often silently and without meaning to as a baby. Camilla would pull her hair out every time it happened, in the end, when it was safe for it to not be considered a choaking risk. Camilla got Raph little ankle bracelets with bells on them so she could always hear where he teleported to

-Is the type of relative to bring lasagne or casserole as a gift

-Big eater. Ontop of being able to eat pretty much anything and not get sick, Camilla has a huge appetite. And like with the rest of her, she has an impressively strong jaw. Despite all the stuff she eats her teeth are actually pretty good (something which endlessly boggles Tina)
