The Rookie 2x06 Part 1

First thoughts:

-The opening scene, as always, was hilarious. John taking out the piercings one by one was so funny (props to Nathan) and the con's smile at the end was so cute!

-The relationship between Nyla and Tim is everything. They are both alpha dogs, neither will back down but Nyla is definitely winning their unspoken competition.

-Grey is an amazing character. He is definitely a leader and doesn't back down in the face of danger and panic. I would love to see him as captain, continuing Zoe Andersen's legacy.

-Lila (Nyla's daughter) is gorgeous! I can't even.

-Oscar (the convict) is a little shit. He has caused pain to both Jackson and Angela. However, I'm curious to see what else he will be up to. He could easily become a main villain.

-I was so scared for Wesley, he looked so pale.

-The team being together at the end shows how much they've all evolved. Especially loved the hug between Angela and Lucy but was a bit disappointed that Tim sat at the sidelines with Rachel and Nyla.

-What has happened to Gino? We've barely seen him this season and I doubt a breakup was mentioned...

Lopevers is life and one of the best grown-up relationship I have seen. I am a little curious as to whom the reservation was for but totally with Angela for not letting it get in the way. Guys, even in the middle of a crisis she was trying to reassure him that she was safe and they said they loved each other cue *internal screaming*. My respect for Angela grows with each episode. She handled both the believers and her fear of impeding doom so well. Also, props to Jackson for staying by her.

John taking the gun from the judge was so cool and Jessica's proud look was so cute. I was glad to see them okay again. John has apparently come to terms with some of her personality traits that bugged him.

As for Nyla I desperately want to know more about her back story. She has been through so much and still gave up what could have been a bright career to be with her daughter. Mad respect. I loved the part when John stood by her and talked to her ex about how hard she is trying. It takes a strong person to admit their faults and mistakes but she is trying her best. Am I the only one who wants to see them get back together? Donovan is hot!

After Rachel came in to the picture I didn't believe I would do a two part review but I believe chenford deserves their own post for this episode.

The Rookie Fanfic Ideas

Hey guys I am considering a few one shots/stories but I have no clue where to start so I'll be putting my ideas and see what you guys might want to see

Chenford or at least one of them lose their memories and they forget they were married and or have kids making them only remember their rookie and T.O days

Tamara finding out she has a room in chenford house (friends reference)

Zoe Andersen or chenford finding a package which has everyones future

Chenford last child being born and is born on a certain day

some kind of time travel au, I'm still unsure how I would want to write this but it's still an idea

Chenford in their rookie and T.O days go to a legit fortune teller and she tells them their unexepected future

Tamara meeting her doppleganger (Dylan Conrique???)

I understand why they killed off Captain Andersen, but man, I wish Lucy had someone like her in season 6. I'm re-watching episode 10, and she is just so empowering for Lucy. I loved it when she made Tim and Bishop get their own gear. With Tim breaking up with her, not making detective, no one standing against Primm for her, Tamara moving out. . . She needs a friend. Andersen would've been perfect.

There’s something about Lucy’s voice this season, when she talks to her rookie she sounds exactly like Captain Zoe Andersen (the captain from season one) and honestly it feels kind of apt especially because Lucy had a good relationship with her
