We are delighted to announce that MA Animation graduate production HOMODEUS has been selected for screening in the Zlín Dog International Student Film Competition which is a part of the 64th Zlín Film Festival.
Zlín Film Festival was established in 1961 and is the oldest and largest film festival of its kind in the world. The festival screenings are conducted not only in Zlín, but also in many other towns in the Czech Republic. Each year the festival presents around 300 films from more than 50 countries around the world. Since 2010 festival attendance has exceeded 95,000 children and adults.
Zlín is connected with film primarily due to the strong history of its film studios, which were founded in 1936 at the behest of Jan Antonín Baťa as a studio for the creation of advertising films of the Baťa footwear empire.
This year’s festival will take place from the 30th of May to the 5th of June 2024.

Mall.tv a Bionaut pokračují ve spolupráci, připravují thriller #annaismissing
Martyho smrtí příběh neskončil. Internetová televize Mall.tv a společnost Bionaut připravují pokračování webseriálu #martyisdead. Producenti Lukáš Záhoř a Vratislav Šlajer to oznámili během uvedení projekce osmidílného thrilleru inspirovaného skutečnými případy kyberšikany v rámci programu Zlín Film Festivalu. Na 60. ročníku mezinárodního festivalu pro děti a mládež, který se letos koná v náhradním termínu od 4. do 10. září, také uvedli, že premiéru novinky nazvané #annaismissing plánují na jaro 2021.
Podobně jako #martyisdead vychází #annaismissing z reálných událostí, od kterých se odvíjí fikční děj. Zatímco tématem osmidílného thrilleru, který byl vloni vyhlášen mezinárodní porotou festivalu Serial Killer nejlepším webseriálem střední a východní Evropy, byla kyberšikana, odcizení, proces vyrovnání se se ztrátou a hledání identity i morální hranice činů odehrávajících se za zaheslovanými účty, ústředním motivem chystané novinky je vyšetřování únosu dítěte za účelem natáčení a prodeje nelegálních videí.
„Seriálem #martyisdead jsme chtěli poukázat na nástrahy virtuální komunikace a přispět k celospolečenské diskuzi o nich. Jak důležité je na potenciální rizika upozorňovat a jak neadekvátní postihy hrozí internetovým predátorům, ukázaly ohlasy na něj. Volně navazující sérií #annaismissing chceme dál rozvíjet téma online bezpečnosti a dalšími doprovodnými materiály přispět k úpravě zákonů, které například neumožnují uložit doživotní zákaz práce s dětmi, nebo pracují s velmi nízkými tresty. Věříme, že stejně jako dokáže dobře odvyprávěný příběh prodávat, dokáže přispět k zamyšlení a snad i ke změně,“ říká šéfproducent internetové televize Mall.tv Lukáš Záhoř. „Stejně jako #martyisdead tak jeho pokračování bude kombinovat napínavý thriller s detektivní zápletkou. V centru zájmu budou nové postavy, objeví se ale i hrdinové #martyisdead a s nimi odpovědi na některé nezodpovězené otázky z první série. Plánujeme paralelní uvedení v kinech a online, každá verze nabídne trochu jinou část příběhu a pro diváky to bude jistě překvapivý zážitek,“ doplňuje producent Vratislav Šlajer za společnost Bionaut.
Temný příběh postupně skládá mozaiku událostí vedoucích ke zmizení čtrnáctileté Anny a stejně jako jeho prequel je dílem scenáristy Jaroslava T. Mišky a režiséra Pavla Soukupa. K jeho autenticitě přispívá úzká spolupráce s policií a odborníky na internetovou bezpečnost, jejímž cílem je nejen umocnit napínavou formu, ale také popsat promyšlený systém sociálního inženýrství a bezbrannost obětí, které v něm uvíznou. Premiéra #annaismissing je plánovaná v kinech a na internetové televizi Mall.tv na jaro 2021.

Oggi vi presentiamo un cortometraggio di animazione realizzato dalla creatività di Sophie Olga de Jong che ci racconta in soli due minuti una emozionante storia a pedali. Quella di una bambina che impara ad andare in bicicletta da suo nonno e scopre che dove finisce la strada inizia la vera avventura. Questo short film è stato proiettato prima di Lo Schiaccianoci della Disney in tutti i Pathé Cinema nei Paesi Bassi.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Zahájení pro dospělé přineslo film o Hermíně Týrlové, ohňostroj či oscarové letní kino. Po dopoledním zahájením pro děti, se úvodní den 57. ročníku Zlín Film Festivalu přehoupl do své druhé poloviny, která patřila nejen klukům a holčičkám, ale i dospělým divákům. A že bylo o hvězdné hosty a zábavu postaráno.
Nejprve se mohli všichni návštěvníci východomoravského města potkat s VIP hosty na červeném koberci nataženém před Kongresovým centrem. Ze zahraničních hostů to byli Grete Sofia Hawneskold s dcerou Lily, Adam Lundgren a Mira Forssel či Sebastian Hiort af Ornas. Dokonce jsme se mohli potkat i s japonskou výpravou. V tradičním kimonu dorazil producent a herec Yuzo Toda. Podstatně kratší cestu urazil akademický malíř Kristian Kodet a držitelka pěti Českých lvů Aňa Geislerová a zpěvačka a herečka Hana Holišová. Jako poslední se na rudě zbarveném běhounu objevila velká festivalová trojka ve složení Čestmír Vančura, Markéta Pášmová a Miroslav Adámek.
Ve Velkém sále Kongresového centra se poté konalo slavnostní zahájení pro dospělé, kterým provázeli Jan Čenský s Danou Morávkovou coby Pipi Dlouhá punčocha. Na chvíli se zjevil i profesionální švédský tenista Björn Borg. Pokud se ale podíváte na muže oblečeného v bílé sportovní soupravě pozorněji, poznáte v něm našeho nejslavnějšího prince, jenž na pár minut vyměnil mikrofon za tenisovou raketu. Součástí úvodního ceremoniálu bylo i premiérové promítání dokumentu o Hermíně Týrlové. Životopisný snímek uvedla bohatá tvůrčí delegace.
Poté se většina zábavy přesunula pod širé nebe. Děti i dospělí se totiž již bezesporu těšili na velkolepý ohňostroj podkreslený filmovými melodiemi. Po doznění posledních doprovodných tónů a výstřelů pestrobarevných světlic odstartovalo v Letním kině promítání oscarového muzikálu La La Land.

In a little house filled with mirrors, Fiep focuses on her physical imperfections so intensely that her distorted self-image grows out of proportion... Literally.
‘Reflection’ is a short animated film full of turbulent emotions, relating to self-image and insecurity. It shows the thought spiral of self-loathing that we all get lost in sometimes, when we look in the mirror and absolutely despise what we see... The intensity of this feeling is captured in ‘Reflection’ through hand-drawn animation, with ink and gouache.

We are delighted to announce that MA Animation graduate production HOMODEUS has been selected for screening in the Zlín Dog International Student Film Competition which is a part of the 64th Zlín Film Festival.
Zlín Film Festival was established in 1961 and is the oldest and largest film festival of its kind in the world. The festival screenings are conducted not only in Zlín, but also in many other towns in the Czech Republic. Each year the festival presents around 300 films from more than 50 countries around the world. Since 2010 festival attendance has exceeded 95,000 children and adults.
Zlín is connected with film primarily due to the strong history of its film studios, which were founded in 1936 at the behest of Jan Antonín Baťa as a studio for the creation of advertising films of the Baťa footwear empire.
This year’s festival will take place from the 30th of May to the 5th of June 2024.
