Ramble + extras under the cut:

I had a crap night and I wanted to do something very self indulgent. I've been wanting to paint over a zim sketch digitally, attempting to use color directly instead of depending on values first, like I usually do. I am SHOCKED at how much I a.) enjoyed this, and b.) did a decent job. I feel like I've attempted this kind of style/technique in photoshop countless times with poor results. I was HEAVILY inspired by @spookysweaterblog, their work is incredible, please go check them out. I can't say that my work here ended up looking anything like theirs, but it helped a lot to have something to springboard off of, reference wise.
