I'm finally sharing an apartment! I chose to build in Oasis Springs and opted for the smallest lot available. There are three units in total, but I've only fully decorated one. I designed it with Johnny Zest in mind. Also, I really wanted to use these two new, coolest sets: Neighborly and Cheap&Chipped by @syboubou. I really loved all the items — especially the empty toilet paper roll; it's my new favorite! LOL.

Additionally, due to some glitches in my game following the For Rent patch, I've labeled this build as "Residential" to avoid any potential issues with saving files. WIP: ~*Amber's Lore Refresh Save 1.0*~

The Amber's Lore Refresh Save is a save file that you can use no matter what packs you have installed. Each world will only use CAS and Build/Buy content from basegame + the pack it came with.

However, each townie will have lifestyles/sentiments/club memberships/celebrity statuses/character values; as those should simply disappear if you do not own the pack, and won't disrupt your gameplay the way naked sims or missing build/buy objects would.

The main purpose of this save is to finally give TS4 premades the lore refresh they deserve. This includes lot renovations and CAS makeovers as well as fully fleshed out relationships/skills/likes & dislikes that actually reflect their household bios. Not to mention adding some spice to their stories to make things a bit more interesting.

THE MISSING SIMS FROM 1 and 4 (Custom Stealth Hood)

This has been a long time in the works. @profesionalpartyguest​ has probably stopped talking to me over it; @justwierzba​ has probably forgotten about it (and me); and @knut-rocketman​ has probably stopped caring about it, if they ever did.

This is a custom Stealth hood, with some townies, and a lot of ancestors, containing sims from The Sims, and The Sims 4. It also has lots for 7/9 families, including the families which you care about the most. For myself I call it Caldera Lessaules.

From Neighborhood 1 we have the Roomies (bless their sapphic souls). From Old Town we have Claire Charming, and the Hicks. We also have the Snooty Patooties, because they’re iconic and someone had a headcanon.

From The Sims 4 we introduce 3 families from my Willow Creek - Pancakes, BFFs, and Spencer-Kim-Lewis - including the all important Lydia Spencer (she’s a townie). Also say hi to the Sims 4 Roomies (the New Girl spoofs), the only original family in Oasis Springs (unless you count Johnny Zest, but he’s all tied up with the Landgraabs). We also have the Harris family from Eco Living Newcrest Harbour whatever that pack and town are called.

But don’t just think I’ve left you with families with nowhere to live, there's lots too!

The Pancakes, BFFs, SKLs, and Sims 4 Roomies have the strict recreations-within-limitations - without CC - you know and love from Willow Creek. The Cacti Casa is a new recreation for this hood, the others are cleaned exports from Willow Creek.

For the Sim Lane Roomies, say hello to my labour of love ✨inspired✨ recreation of 10 Sim Lane. It has Foundations! The floor and wall coverings are close calls to the original. Claire Charming and the Hicks have their houses also recreated with Foundations. I found all three Sims 1 recreations really fun to build, and I love how their energies have translated across, especially for the Hicks’ Trailer and 10 Sim Lane. There is also an additional variant of Claire’s House I made for personal reasons.

The Snooty Patooties and the Harris family’s houses haven't been recreated - the latter because I don’t actually own the EP, the former because I would have to base it off of Marka93’s as I have no clue how to get the Downloadable Sims into my Sims 1 game. Besides, they’re added extras, just slip them into your Main Hood, Viper Canyon, Downtown, Bin Lots, it's up to your imagination! Feel free to export the lots and plop them in your main hoods, or just delete the subhood, its fine, I guess…

I hope you enjoy this labour of hate and love. Its an essential ingredient in my own Uberhoods. I genuinely miss these sims - especially the Sims 1 ones - so much in my games otherwise.

Special Thanks :

This version of “Caldera Lessaules” is officially a testing version, however nothing core is expected to change. That said, make a backup before adding it to your game. I am not responsible if your savefile becomes a BFBVFS and you don't have a backup. I may decide to add or tweak things in the hood, like ancestors, additional townies, etc, or roll-out fixes if people find errors which I haven’t picked up, but please do not hold off downloading if this is something which you'd think you'd love!

The creators mentioned in the first paragraph made most of the ancestors between them. ProfesionalPartyGuest also made the Harrises. Without them my hood would be ancestorless, which depending on if you care about Character File Count, is a good or a bad thing.

Sims 4 Townie upgrade SAVE FILES V1 & V2

I have two save files to share for anyone sick of starting new saves with the warped and poorly put together townies we all know and *cough* love. 

What am I offering? Two versions of a Vanilla CC FREE save file. One for townie makeovers and one for those same makeovers plus world changes. 

Packs Used (though I tried to balance game packs and stuff packs where if you don’t have a few listed only a few clothing pieces would need replaced in game and tried not to use kits on townies at all): ALL EXPANSIONS up to high school. GAME PACKS: outdoor retreat, Spa day, Dine out, vampires, parenthood, Strangerville, Realm of Magic, Dream home decorator, Werewolves. STUFF PACKS: Movie hangout, romantic garden, kids room, backyard stuff, vintage glamour, toddler stuff, laundry day, Moschino, Tiny living, paranormal stuff. 

V1: Townie appearances are updated and clothing updated/used across packs  (see below for more details and download)

V2: Everything in V1, but also with updates to townie homes as well as a few community lots (Thank you to a whole slew of different creators big and small on the gallery- save a build to your library to view original creators and visit their profiles please!) And a rehaul of the Clubs system from Get together that now includes perks for sims across worlds to want to join them if they can. Sims also have more relationships and every sim has a character bio. 

Again, these are only the most basic changes made to start new plays or worlds in, the point is to change them. grow them, shape them from here in any way you want. If you want to change a few things cool, if you want to change everything cool. I just got tired of making the same changes and having a world full of sims I needed to tweak so I made this for me and decided to share.

I do love the townies so what I did for myself originally is go through and remake all of them CC FREE to give everyone a little glow-up. I slightly corrected (darkened) many skin tones, made faces and bodies a little more balanced and believable (lowered chests, thickened thighs and waists, etc), I updated their styles to include cold and hot weather wear (and corrected outfits that made no sense). I adjusted a few walk styles, and I even restyled a few households to better suit my preferences because it’s my base save file. For example, Roomies are now styled after Golden Girls rather than The New Girl -residing in oasis springs. Baby Ariel is now Billie Eilish. The game now also includes the Broke and Smith households from S2 and the Pleasant Family includes the parents. 

The only changes to the world are a few of my own community builds tossed down but easy to remove or replace them if preferred. 

This version is purely townie aesthetics 

V2: DOWNLOAD HERE -sfs- Everything mentioned above but now with clubs that range across the worlds rather than just in Windenburg. After becoming a 3 star celebrity join the ranks of Judith Ward to gain boosts to your career and even more social acclaim. As a vampire, join Vlad’s clan for skill boosts around your vampire powers, but be warned that the spellcaster coven takes issue with your clan. Maybe you just want to join Summer Holiday’s Yoga group- that’s fine too! Plus, houses are updated from the gallery for lived on lots- though you’re welcome to change them however you wish. Relationships are updated, so finally, Zest knows the Landgraabs. 

Also, this is completely optional, but if you wish to have your sims look even better with almost no CC, I use and recommend this default skin HERE (tumblr) by @plumbheadsims​ and default eyes -heliantheas super bland comic eyes default HERE (Mod the sims).

Slipshod Mesquite Trailer (NoCC) | Oasis Springs Trailerpark Series ep. 4 | The Sims 4 | Stop Motion

We're back in the Oasis Trailer Park Series this time! OK, so, when I signed up for this collab, I had JUST finished the trailerpark lot/video with Johnny Zest. I know it's probably odd that episode 3 and 4 both have Johnny Zest in them (& completely different ones at that! LOL), but with episode 3, the lot was not Johnny's usual lot, plus it was made with a ton of packs and this one is only basegame. Anyway, it couldn't be helped, and I hope you don't mind too much. Johnny Zest was kicked out of the Landgraab's and found a lot with a trailer (mobile home, caravan, RV). This is my contribution to the #TS4BetterTogether collab. Look for my version of Johnny Zest on the gallery as well - he is also basegame only! Currently all of my OC's are sims born in game. However my current TS4 stories centering around the Reagan family started from my gameplay save. At the time I wanted Sims game I could just play and my laptop at the time was having trouble with loading TS3 so I decided to give TS4 a try. I created my Reagan founder Dominic and paired him with Jonny Zest and well there was something lacking and I soon stopped playing.

About a year later I decided to give TS4 another try. I gave Dominic a make over and created Robin who soon became his husband and they had six kids. Their oldest was Riley who soon became a favorite. I made Jackson Malloy and if anyone remembers when they were teenagers they spent a lot of time inside closets XD

They got married and pregnant soon after. They had twins Jonah and Jayden. I fell in love with them. At the time @justasimthing had shared a couple of twins she had shared for download. I had this what if idea running around my head. What if one set of twins fell in love with another set of twins? Thus my Reagan stories were born.

Most of my stories have started with a 'what if' question and I just followed it down the rabbit hole.

The Landgraabs

On the morning of the 5th, Charlotte woke up even earlier with a bursting bladder and a growling stomach. Unable to pin-point on what caused her feeling so poorly, she blamed it on her flu which she knew how to take care of.

Within a couple hours, Charlotte was clean, hydrated, medicated and energized. She even made herself some eggs to give her the energy for conquering the day. This was gonna be one of the most memorable days of her career, she was sure of it.

The Landgraabs

Meanwhile, at home, Charlotte is preparing hard for her audition. She knows how difficult it’s gonna be considering the sitcom’s reputation and even though her Landgraab identity gets her past most auditions, this one will not happen in a similar way. Ever since Johnny Zest and Vasyl Abrams, the most influential couple in the sitcom industry, took over the writing and direction for the show, its quality has not been compromised in the slightest. And it sure will not do so to impress a Landgraab.

To be completely honest, comedy is not Charlotte’s thing. It does not come to her naturally. So she made sure to read the book ‘Getting the Jokes’ sent to her from the agency. And then she decided to watch a few episodes of the show to internalize the overall vibe. Not that she hasn’t watched them before, but you know…

Past noon, when Charlotte still didn’t see Malcolm coming over for lunch, she decided to sign up for a comedy lecture taking place in Oasis Springs auditorium. Of course, she got herself a seat in the premium panel. Sitting with the masses is not safe for her anymore now that everybody in town knows who she is.

Rachel Woods as a potential friend for @futurelabs teens!

Rachel is the friendli-est teen in town who loves to chat.. very very chatty.. and make new friends. She is fun to be around and you will never have a dull moment with her. I ranked townies with tricoufamily’s townie sorter, and the top 10 is pretty solid.

Not surprised Cassie got #1. I’ve been thinking about her a lot lately since Axl is. Caleb was the first boyfriend in my game! When I got the game, I got Vampires and Vintage Glamour with it (yeah, I wanted to be a vampire with a butler – who doesn’t?) and the first character I rolled up pursued Caleb. It was the hair. And then Lilith is just Lilith, isn’t she?! 

Olivia S-K Lewis was the spouse in the second gen of my family legacy challenge. She was the girl next door. She was nice; I liked her. Luna – I liked her for Axl until Cassie came along, then I turned her into a brat. (If it wasn’t that, her mobster father was going to chase him off or something; he’s not going to find the love of his life in high school.) But I still like her, I guess. And poor Alexander! Why did they put that baby in the attic?! Won’t somebody please think of the children?! Travis Scott was the second or third baby daddy in my 100 baby challenge. He was kind of adorable with the kids though his two boys (twins) were mean and lazy. But they always came home to visit their mom and Travis visited, too, until he died. 

Johnny Zest is always a little boy lost in my games. He often turns up as a friend when I have a sim in some sort of entertainment career. We look after him. Once, we were at a restaurant and the Landgraabs showed up and they snubbed him! Vicious!

The Best Friends household gets a lot of reflected glory because I like New Girl, but Mitchell Kalani comes by it honestly because he came to the inauguration party my simself threw, he helped me tap the blue (tide) juice keg, and was the first one at the selfie station I downloaded. 

Bella Goth rounds out the top ten. It’s Bella Goth.

The middle is a mishmash of characters I don’t know that much about sloping down to active dislike as the numbers mount. Vlad comes in at 18 because Antonia has struck up a weird Halloween friendship with him, plus he did her a solid long ago. I feel bad that Marcus Flex is so low: he was another 100 baby daddy. He did disappear after the pregnancy but he came back into the kids’ life later and was a good dad. I really don’t like Nina Caliente after her pursuit of Noe. 

And Nancy Landgraab is last. 😂

Love The Skin You're In - Feminism on Tumblr

Social media enables people to connect and/or congregate regarding a particular subject. When we imagine social media, we usually envision more common platforms we see and use each and every day, for example, Instagram, Facebook and of course TikTok. 

Although not at the top of most lists, Tumblr, a social media platform launched in 2007, has around 3.7 million users in Australia alone. Tumblr utilises a mix of traditional webblogs and social networking sites to form what we recognise as the social media platform (Reif, Miller and Taddicken 2022). What makes Tumblr unique to its competitors is the fact it does not utilise personal profiles or ‘networks’ for a user to identify themselves, however it is completely anonymous unless a user decides to make themselves known (Keller 2019, p. 7). This anonymity and level of privacy the platform allows elucidates as to why the platform became home to many teenage feminists (Keller 2019, p. 7).  

In contrast to Tumblr, social platforms like Facebook do not offer this same confidence in anonymity. Regarding feminist opinions, many individuals said they were selective in what they chose to post on Facebook due to the reaction they might receive from family and friends, due to the public nature of the platform. This of course results in a lack of opinion and speech on important topics, such as feminist politics. Platforms like Tumblr that offer this somewhat secretive persona allow people who feel this judgment from ‘friends’ to speak comfortably and freely about topics that matter (Keller 2019). 

“Love the Skin You‘re In” (Reif, Miller and Taddicken 2022) discusses body positivity, selfie-taking and the online community that was created under the ‘body positive’ hashtag on Tumblr. Due to the media’s idealised representation of the female body, many young women are heavily editing and presenting a more socially accepted version of themselves to social media platforms, in an effort to seek positive validation and acceptance (Reif, Miller and Taddicken 2022). The #bodypositive movement on Tumblr encouraged women to stray from these unachievable standards and allowed them to feel empowered regardless of societal standards. (Reif, Miller and Taddicken 2022). Although the hashtag mainly was situated around female empowerment, Tumblr’s acceptance toward marginalised communities lead to the hashtag being flooded with posts regarding the LGBTQ+ community (Reif, Miller and Taddicken 2022).
