Okay but... imagine.

Turo, Sada, and Clavell (technically Jacq I suppose) are the normal professors AU, sorta.

Each one has their own of the starters as well as the ones for you to choose, they either go to Jacq as biology teacher afterwards or they give one to Arven (imagine food guy getting weed cat, someone find his brownies - kidding but also there's so many memes way back when the starters were announced).

The AIs still exist, they're supposed to be doing research down in Zero because it's 'too dangerous for humans long-term' (there's a Clavell AI this time too).

Considering the ridiculous ship potential, I'm laughing a bit at the idea that 'Oh the AI are basically just us but weirder (cause you know they're weird anyway) and the AIs. So maybe when the trio go to check on the AIs and the research, so n so hasn't seen such n such today and kisses that person's AI, but also all three of them are solidly in the 'I would fuck my clone' category (I will die on this hill). Of course, the AIs are eventually realized to be actual growing AI and get semi-recognized as their own people but by that point it's too late, it's basically a 6 person polycule and 3 of them are metal twins of the other 3 and none of them give a fuck how it looks to outsiders.

(Arven is wary of the AIs when he first meets them but he warms up because they don't try to kill him in this timeline or his friends)

Also this whole game has polycules. So far Hassel and Brassius might be the only ones who I've HC as NOT poly. You've got Penny, Arven, Nemona, and Player, and then Penny with Team Star Leaders - but also Arven with them initially because of a dare that no one thought he'd go through with (Arven learned from his parents that a big family is a better family and even if he platonically sexual towards Star he's still gathering people). Larry and Rika and Geeta of course are a group and I gave Jacq an OC before I knew about Raifort so I'm working on how to put her in their story, etcetera.

Anyway, I lost track but basically ZeroTrioShipping but AI are involved as well so... DoubleTrioShipping? And the human trio are the main professors of the games. Paradox Pokemon are because so n so AI messed up and then there's Pokemon Azul (?) in which AI Clavell did the fuck up and pulled Pokemon from space instead of time, leading to Pokemon from other dimensions showing up, and Human Clavell still isn't sure how the AI him managed that.

Anyway, AU where the profs actually stick around and eventually become teachers at the Academy I guess. My dumb wild brain idea was that Clavell had the bright idea of "Since the time machine project is dashed y’know what we should do? We shgould all go work at the Academy.” Jacq was pulled along on similar train of thought (I think he only joined the tera orb project a little later as a trainee, but wasn’t close enough to the profs to hear about their time machine thingy unlike Clavell).

Clavell and Turo are very much on the same page of being old men who are shit at modern day culture. Sada on the other hand...  she revels in their dumbness. Poor Arven lol. I’m thinking they might be teaching assistants/only teaching part time. Maybe working on experiments that eventually lead to Koraidon and Miraidon being lab created rather than time machine pulled.

They basically take up the currently empty other half of Clavell’s office, the labs! And yes I ship all three of them together lmao. Imagine the chaos lkjsdfg. Also the shenanigans to be had there after school hours, if you get my meaning lol. I’m sorry lsdfkjsd. My nsfw twitter account will hold more poly junk in the future I guess (No minors please.)

Also FYI I’m running with my idea that the AI professors we see are actually just their youthful appearances frozen in time. In present day, the actual profs would be aging, sort of looking like this.
