#Ywuscore dimensions

Note
So, we should start putting these under readmore's so we don't take up miles of screen. I plan on sharing the google doc once I go through everything and organize it all, but if you want me to give you the link now, i can send it to you.
So Alex is in Orch. I have a couple ideas for this but they can be saved for another time. This post is going to get ridiculously long.
I'd like to keep it bakery or pastry related, maybe they make scones or pies? Also putting the rest under the cut because this is getting long.
OOO!!! Phil being the personified version of the dream dimension who can't leave the dimension with three adopted Traveler "kids", they don't all have to be guys now, they could come from dimensions without gender at all! I'd like to think they all ended up there because they were seeking comfort and a family and that feeling made them Travel to Phil's world. Maybe Phil regularly hires Karl to "babysit" the other three on their travels to make sure they're safe? That's how they started hanging out together. I like the idea of one of them being like a grizzled hardened warrior from like a mad max type place, maybe they taught Karl how to drive, who is adjusting but also enjoying the peaceful life.
Yah, so we agree and point 4 is resolved, we can skip it in future reblogs.
I'm 99% sure we had Ranboo as a Traveler who was caught up in Ywuscore and the Azure Apocolypse and lost their memory because of it. They're not from Ywuscore and they were looking for home? We could cut them out of the Azure plot line and put them in a different lense? Right now the only thing they add to the story is a possible look at how memory loss and staying in dimensions that aren't your own for too long can effect travelers mentally and possibly physically.
Yah, having them be a regular resident of Ywscore sound good, but I do like the idea of them being a robot too. Maybe since it was so advanced, you could upload your loved ones to robot bodies if they got into bad accidents and if a child got into an accident, would be transfered into older looking models each year until they reached adulthood. Due to the apocolypse, they couldn't get transferred so now you have a teen or young adult mind in a kid robot body. What do you think?
I thought the Opal Lense was where we meet and introduce a large part of the cast? It starts with the main three meeting and going on light harted adventure and ends with the creation/meeting of Lark and learning about Karl's purpose. That's how Karl knows to start tracking down the Mauve Lense. I know we meet Alex in Azure, I'm just saying, I reviewed the outlines and stuff and we mention the reactions of the Cue and Saponite's friends and family but we never really mention Alex past Azure. Alex is their child and should be included in the storyline.
I'll add a list of unnamed dimensions when I go through everything later. This is resolved.
I was kinda attached the the emoji jokes and stuff, but you're right, we can come up with anything! I'll go back through and check what XD represented vs the dragon. I do like the thought of having the new XD be humanoid in design while the dragon stays animalistic and on four or more limbs.
Twixt doesn't sound good to me. Plus with Between we can have the joke of "I live in Between." "In between where?" "Technically it's everywhere and nowhere and I'd keep talking but that tends to get me stabbed so..." "... I'm just going to put my address on here, okay?" "okay!"
Dragon or Dragon like without calling it a dragon, got it. Yesssss, you have such a good point with the "Angels being less human than demons" so having a Dragon design that's more grounded in reality and animals while XD's could be more abstract and barely count as humanoid would be so much fun! I'll have to do some research, any ideas in the meantime?
I like Daft because it's one letter away from Draft, like drafting a plan and he's basically a kid in a sandbox. Maybe he tried to introduce himself (Themself? Itself? should we take away their gender?) as Draft but the exhausted, heat stricken sailor misheard it as Daft, and now everyone calls them that, and they're like "Well, I guess my name is Daft now. It would be weird to correct them now, right?"
All Orch residents can become original characters. Orch is relevant because Alex lives there and one of the Lenses is attempting to set up residence. Fundy was supposed to be from Ywscore originally but was dumped into Orch by the Lense, are we keeping this plot point?
Should we change the Saponite family's best food from muffins to something else?
Sleepy Boi Inc going down from four to three members, have a friendly older character, intimidating bounty hunter character, and a chaotic young character? Possibly? They are the main Traveler family that actually interact with Karl for any length of time, kinda like a stray feral cat.
Should we cut down the Quarry trio to just Saponite and the [Ender Knight]? George's character was kinda just there and never really added much to the story. Plus it makes it more angsty when we have the whole “I raised the devil and meant to betray you” thing.
Ranboo’s character is supposed to be an amnesiac Traveler. Perhaps Sap and Cue assume Karl doesn’t talk much about his home because he can’t remember it and we can show what the effects of amnesia have on a normal Traveler. Likely nothing good.
Tubbo was a robot bug child. Do we keep him? How should we change him? His plotline was intertwined with Ranboo’s and depending on the direction that goes in, I can see us keeping or discarding this character.
I feel like we should try and remember Alex in the plotline of all of this. Like what are they doing during the Clemintine Lens? What were they doing before they found their family? What do they think about all this plot stuff?
We should add more of these side dimensions and stuff to this document, like Mary and the superhero dimension we talked about over discord. We don’t have to name every single one, but having a list to come back to and reference for jokes and such would be good.
For Quarry, XD needs a new name.
Should we change the Inbetween to just Between? The Other Side should be fine, plenty of media use that name for stuff, but to distance ourselves from ksq, should we change it?
Need to review Quarry’s dimension in general, I don’t think we got to change much, but we need to rebrand from “The Ender Dragon” and other Minecraft stuff.
Foolish needs a new name. I think a name that is also a describing word that you wouldn’t associate with a god would be nice.
Alright, that's everything I thought about needing to address for now. some are actual suggestions, some are points that likely deserve their own post, and some are just "hey we need to do this". If you don't have any ideas for something just put "tosses the ball to you" instead of an answer. I'll kick off the conversation.
1)Agreed. I think Alex could take up that storyline.
2)Yeah, if we need anything for it at all.
3)I was thinking we could change the dimension Sleep to Dream-something to better reflect it's ever-shifting nature. We could keep the three tavalers and then have their parent be the dimension itself, the way Phil was a personified version of it. Like a less evil version of Ego.
4) I'm okay with that. I like the worldbuilding of the Micealium Isles but story-wise it can be overcrowded for a character from each.
5) Im not sure what you mean? I need to refresh that plotline I've forgotten it It feels like.
6) I like keeping a child from Ywscore. Since Ywscore and Orch are pretty important for the Azure lens plotline, i'd like to keep just a regular person who remains from Ywscore.
7)Depends on what order we're going in again? I remember it was from Opal to Mauve, Indigo, Azure. Since we meet Alex in the Azure lens and the Traveler Trio (SBI) in the beginning we could seed out her storyline with the Ywscore Child who's with them having connections to her in flashbacks or with seeded moments?
The Opal lens I figured would be just the epilogue of the main three getting to know each other. Maybe 4-5 short chapters (Meeting Prowa, Meeting in Quarry, All three meeting, and all three going on a regular adventure-like adventure, setting up the formula. Then the "real" story begins where we meet the whole cast and expand the world.
8)Agreed. I haven't opened the document in a while.
9) We talked about this before a little but didn't settle on anything I don't think. We talked about wanting to keep two letters that could be the face, but I'm open to making anything. Especially if you want to redesign the God altogether or something! (Your DM design is inspiring)
10) I like Between. In Between has been used for a similar place in a lot of other media too so it's not as original as i'd have liked regardless. I noticed that close to the beginning but didn't want to change it to fit with the ksq lore.
Do you like the name Twixt? I like Between too if you don't, though.
11) I'd like to keep it as a dragon or dragon-like but not call it a dragon? Giving it a more creature-esq design to combat the otherworldly god design is cool. I've always loved the motiff of angels being so much less human than demons (creators being less earthy than destroyers)
12) Spitballing: Trite, Mundane, Daft, Inane,

Lenses list
A rundown of the Kaleidoscope (as of July 5th 2022)
Mauve Lens [Purple]
Aliases: The Mauve
Incarnations: An ornate purple shawl, scarf, or cloak.
Patron: Influence, gain, indulgence, prestige.
Nature: It is passive, blank, and supportive. It varies depending on whoever uses it and will forward their will. It is the most like a tool out of all the lenses; although most can be used in a similar way, the mauve does not posses or influence who it comes in contact with beyond the natural lure that comes with all forms of power.
Powers/Abilities: Granting influence. Subtly granting benefits to its chosen in ways that could appear as luck. It also can work more directly if commanded and constantly will work toward the desire. Even just as a cloak making them feel cool in a dessert or acting like armor when in danger.
Notable Users: Maeve Lolanthe Ambrosia (AKA Mary) used it to control and influence a large amount of people,
Found: First appears in Aristrone, an urban-fantasy set dimension.
----
Indigo Lens [Indigo]
Aliases: The Indigo, Forlorn
Incarnations: Deep translucent fabrics of phasing waves, evocative melodies of vocals or strings.
Patron: Memory, repression, grief, sorrow.
Nature: A neutral but powerful lens, passively and growing and drawing in. It washes over dimensions and slowly begins to drown them as it takes in the sorrow. The deeper into it you go the more lost you are.
Powers/Abilities: It drags in miseries and stories from all across the Over, other dimensions and worlds, and drags them in on its tide.
Notable Users: It can’t really be used but Karl listens to its stories and helps it not overflow.
Found: No set dimension of residence.
----
Azure Lens [Blue]
Aliases: The Azure, Eve, Creation, Epiphany
Incarnations: Inspiration, an unknown muse, especially to technical minds. Blue energy/technology.
Patron: Creation, creativity, ambition, advancement.
Nature: Aggressive but supportive. It’s a creative rather than outright destructive force but is single-minded and perseverance, as it’s a force. Much in the same way heat’s main goal is to be hot—it’s not going to stop and worry that it’s melting the wax that sustains it.
Powers/abilities: Pushes breakthroughs in the minds of innovators. Essentially speed runs the development of societies and can be channeled into a usable energy if worked with long enough.
Notable Users: Alex, Ywscore citizens, Orch inventor
Found: Resides predominantly in Ywuscore but eventually moves to Orch.
----
Teal Lens [Teal/Turquoise]
Aliases: The Teal, The Beguiling Mist, Siren’s Mask
Incarnations: A gas mask but with more colors and patterns as well as feathers attached to it, heavy blue-green mist, a cool feeling.
Patron: Emotion, sentiment, fortitude, reaction.
Nature: It’s a very active but undirected lens. It’s neutral although it’s rarely dormant. Unless left completely isolated with no one to reach, it will constantly be churning to the tune of the other’s emotions, including even animals.
Powers/Abilities: When used properly the lens allows mass manipulation of emotions through the creation of colorful mist. The mist is an extension of the user's own emotions- if the user feels angry, anyone who breathes in that mist will feel that same anger- and that emotion can stack on top of any amount of existing emotion already felt by those affected by the mist. This makes sealing the mask properly around a user's head important as they could get stuck in a feedback loop of emotion.
Notable Users: unnamed ancient leaders, a unnamed child.
Found: Currently unnamed dimension of residence - a world with villages on the surface and long tunnels of caves and underground water pools.
----
Celadon Lens [Green]
Aliases: The Celadon, Creeping Stone
Incarnations: A green spreading crystalline infection
Patron: Torpor, decadence, indolence, apathy.
Nature: Acts like a virus opposed to Crimson’s infection. It is a slow but strong moving lens.
Powers/Abilities: Takes over the body, infesting muscles and joints with its stone until people are crystalized to almost statues. It doesn’t have direct control over the mind but the brain will numb on its own with the body over time.
Notable Users: it can't be used traditionally but the theme park workers might count. Those who spread it would be the closest to a ‘user.’
Found: An unnamed dimension once filled with theme parks and bustling transports, now left a shell. Neglected metal oxidized into a green wasteland full of crystallized zombies.
----
Sun Lens [Yellow]
Aliases: The Violin, Euphoria, Symphony, The Fiddle
Incarnations: A violin with intricate carvings of spider webs all over, yellow strings and thread, gold and yellow flecks of light.
Patron: Music, joy, obsession, control.
Nature: Active and benevolent. It harnesses itself in pleasantness and hones in on whatever brings it about. It does not exist or notice in necessarily healthy or safety, however, so its influence is just as detrimental when left unchecked and free as the rest of the Kaleidoscope. Despite what you might think at first glance. The forced positivity becomes almost cult-like and even hostile towards well being of people. If you’re perfectly happy even with a broken leg, why would anyone bother getting medical attention?
Powers/Abilities: It can channel good feeling and guide. It’s a bit like Azure in how it interacts/influences the societies it reigns in, and a bit like Crimson in the way it spreads through and consumes people.
Notable Users: A musician named Penelope
Found: Currently unnamed dimension where it has overtaken the whole society in a euphoric brainwashed state of service and submission to its light.
----
Clementine Lens [Orange]
Aliases: The Clementine, Not.☆, Clem, The Unhuntable Beast, Pretty Kitty
Incarnations: a large creature that looks like a cross between a tiger, a boar, and a scorpion. It has tusks, orange fur with black stripes, and a scorpion tail, size between a car and a horse. Appears to fade in and out of opaqueness, almost like the texture of a portal.
Patron: Oblivion, unknown, hidden, introversion.
Nature: It’s a reclusive lens, will actively try to avoid things and need to be sought out. It’s like a wild animal trapped in a place it shouldn’t be. It’s the lens most closely tied to the Otherside. As a representation of Oblivion, which is nearly synonymous with inexistent, it’s the most uncomfortable to be out here and mostly needs to be comforted and drawn out in order to return it back to safety.
It's abilities include: traveling to different dimensions, poisonous scorpion tail, and unnatural abilities (ie. Speed, strength, agility, senses). Fazing and an inconsistent size. Ability to take people and things into never existing (only until it’s returned to the Otherside, in which case it simply becomes guardian of all things lost forever.)
Notable Users: None
Found: No set dimension of residence.
----
Crimson Lens [Red]
Aliases: The Crimson, Blood vines
Incarnations: Red flora, especially vines grown from an egg-like seed.
Patron: Power, passion, conquering, striving.
Nature: It is an aggressive lens, actively fiercely moving forward.
Abilities Include: It works by seeking out It works by warping your mind as a sort of infective possession, adding you to its empire. It can rebuild itself from the smallest seed, leaf, or root, growing it into a new egg.
Notable Users: More like it uses people than people use it. Notable people who’ve fallen to its control: Cue, Bill, and Rue.
Found: Appears in small bit all throughout the story. Is main insurgence comes later in the series, in Prowa.
----
Bonus:
Karl Opal [White]
Aliases: Karl, Prism, Thread, Journalist
Incarnation: Unlike other lenses he’s represented with multiple colors on top of his main one, generally opalescent. Created by the Inbetween to retrieve and return the Lenses to the Other Side, was incidentally made to be a person just from the way the pieces fell together. Think of it like evolution.
Patron: Trial and error, stories, rebirth, discovery, understanding.
Powers/Abilities:
Form shifting
Respawning
A very advanced memory when considering all he takes in compared to other beings.
Quick learning/adapting
Creation of portals through the Over (different from simply traveling through them: he can also bend the rules of moving things and other people between dimension, not just himself.)
Ability to herd and push the lenses as they manifest in the Over. Think of it like he’s a shepherd and Lark is a caretaker.
Access to the Inbetween.
Found: The Inbetween, with one or both his boyfriends (Sapnap & Quackity), or with one of his many friends. Pretty much everywhere or anywhere, but usually the first two.
Lark [Black]-
Aliases: Lark, Prism, Needle, Librarian
Incarnation: accidentally created when Karl was split into multiple versions of himself, is considered to be Karl's reflection/Inverse, depending on how you look at it, he either existed long before Karl as a form of the otherside but not as a person, or he is significantly newer if you count him being created as a sentient being as his true origin. They split the difference and call themselves twins. His purpose is to house, care for, and regulate the Kaleidoscope in the Otherside.
Patron: Order, endings, knowledge, balance, animals.
Powers/Abilities:
Power to freely through anywhere in the Over by going “behind” them rather than “through” them. (Imagine Karl’s portals are like a wormhole, Lark’s tunnels would be like a black hole.)
Metaphysically and telepathically linked to Karl
Essentially impossible to damage in any meaningful way
Para-omnipotence
Ability to watch over and maintain the Kaleidoscope (when they are in the otherside, where they belong.) Caretaker.
Access to the otherside
Kind of… IS the otherside. At least, a manifestation of the part of it that linked it to Karl.
Found: The Otherside or with Karl (as reflection or as person). Sometimes—very rarely—he can be found broken away from Karl to explore a dimension that especially caught his attention, usually one with animals.

my brain is ERROR rn so instead of articulated have some half baked lsadflakshd Dimensions rambles
@thecatchat
-----
Fundy in Orch
- Fundy was a child when he fell through a portal to Orch and doesn’t realize he’s from another dimension
- He’s semi-holographic with only an endoskeleton being physical. Sort of hard light situation, like touching him is part way between a gas and a solid, sort of glitchy.
- Thats how he can look like a fox! With some effort and practice (like drawing) he can change his form.
- Sam helps repair his body with redstone and everyone just assumes he’s sone kind of strange damaged cyborg As robotics aren’t strange in Orch.
- He’s got a different kind of body than Tubbo because of it. Aside from just being different builds (Tubbo is a solid robot) but after so many years of being worked on by Sam he’s no longer made up of the same sci fi material. Simpler metals and such. He’s got more dull dusty red glows and not the bright blue signature to Ywuscore.
- Nobody talks about it much but everyone agrees Fundy was probably created and treated unethically. As far as Sam knows he’s someone they rescued after he ran away from some maniac in Orch.
- (He wasn’t, the portal just screwed him up because unstable) also he doesn’t really care where he came from. He knows they’ve got a worry about him but now they’re all grown up and doing good he shrugs it off.
- Protective friend group? yes. Especially Ponk.
- He remembers Ywuscore but not in detail and overtime has morphed them into just “somewhere else I used to be.”
- mmmmm Hannah sister figure to everyone.
----
Tubbo in Orch
- Tubbo and Tommy ending up visiting Orch?
- TUBBO SEES BEES!!! charlie slimecicle reaction ensues. Tommy gets Phil to make some bees in Sleepy.
- idk if Fundy ever fully realizes where he’s from, agt least not blatantly stated in story. He’s different enough from Tubbo it’s not obvious but he finds a kinship in friendship him :)
- I imagine a scene where Azure (or alex?) something something Karl is explaining it he’s there for plot exposition and he just makes a face and goes “wait, so- it’s- ...mom?” and there’s a nearly audible record scratch as everyone, even almost azure, is like “dude. what.”
-------
Oh yeah here’s some karl lore
- (Karl can portal, he’s like skipping the shell altogether. Only people who are willing can enter his portals if someone is consciously not thinking about entering they won’t. Also, obviously, he needs to want them to. If he wants to drag someone through forcefully it’s a throw of wills with him at a disadvantage.)
----
Tubbo and Tommy in Prowa
- Since Travelers have to phase through it’s harder the more solid the world.
- Tommy is stuck for a while while he recharges enough to exit but first he wants to find Wilbur so he can brag how he made it into Prowa.
- Tubbo gets hurt somehow (maybe electrocuted?) and gets hyper because robot
- They go to the Casino where Wilbur talked about cleaning out some people (he screws over Charlie a lot for funsies. They’ve got a card rivalry)
- Anyway they make their way to Virido Chip which is closed and, having little to no social care and whatever they did have being either drained or overpowered, they just break in. Tubbo breaks the door in so it’s still closes but the lock is gone and handel is broken.
-Tubbo’s strong btw
- Schlatt is there (it’s after hours) and being used to being attacked goes full defense mode and sneaks up front, gun pulled, only to find two weird looking kids just shuffling around.
- He’s thrown off enough to let his guard down in this moment of “wtf”
- Anway Schlatt has to babysit a glowy blue and (racoon? avian?) teenangers. One of whom is tired and grumpy and the other is very cheerful and hyper. WHile trying desperately to get a hold of Quackity because there’s no way this isn’t his weird boyfriends chart.
- He calls Charlie. Imagine this full grown bouncer ram man struggling to work a 1920s phone as Tubbo runs around looking at all the cool new stuff, tryong to stop him from grabbing the phone out of his hands, also while a very tired Tommy swears at him from the ground.
-Charlie shows up to help after not really understanding the explanation and Tubbo get to talk about the BEST creatures from other dimensions (Slimes and Bees)
- Charlie also figures out where Wilbur is, cleaning out some other Casino since Virido was closed.
- Quackity comes back from a date to either A) a surprisingly wholesome scene where they’re all laying on the floor playing dominoes, Tommy having gained some energy and Tubbo having spent some, or B)
(i think I like A better although it was like B at some point definitely)
--------
Wilbur in SaiSai
- wants to see what all the fuss is about after talking to the fiancees about it so tags along
- Isn’t with them at first, just goes on his own
- Takes the form of a merfolk at first because water world. Swims around for a while, then meets a ship and has a bit of a conversation with the crew and wants to come on board.
-They’re like “uh, no? Even if yes, how? You don’t even have legs.” and he laughs darkly (because he likes screwing with people) and turns into smoke? bird? flies up onto the ship and lands, taking on his ordinary form.
- His mysterious stranger moment (tm) however gets cut short by Pufft deking him over the side with either her fists or a mop or if she’s got her horns she head butts him off?
- “NO MORE! No more fucking omens on my fucking ships! I’m sick of it!”
- Jack: “Puffy, this is my ship.”
- something something she ends up saying “Karl, Quackity, and Sapnap are an exception because they’re very polite.”

ksq but they get married in every dimension they visit
Oh my god! This actually makes sense!
Like first they have the main wedding. The big one that everyone attends with all of the guests and stuff. And they get legally married in Prowa and Quarry and that's that.
Then probably someone from sbi points out that they technically aren't married in Sleepy Hollow, or Ywuscore, or Sai Sai, and a lot of other places too!
Well, the three can't have that! So they get legally married in every dimension they can, making a sort of game out of it. They don't throw party's for any of them, but they do tend to crash other party's or celebrate by going to festivals or carnivals!

I love the idea of Ywuscore being almost haunted in setting. Not like a thriller, it’s more like a horror. A post-post apocalyptic world where all the threats are just as dead as the residence and it’s just ghosts. The horror comes from what used to be there and what’s not there rather than what is. Just the whole scale of an entire world being reduced to a ghost town… mmm. Love that.
Creepy and charming sci-fi worlds >>>
I almost imagine it like Autodale universe feeling. But much less malice in its vibe and more tragic and wondrous. Gravity is kind of screwy, there carnage is much worse around certain parts (where the portals were). Sort of weirdmageddon mixed with Kipo but sci fi. No organic life left
Tubbo and Ranboo taking over an old destroyed mall is perfect^^
Kind of like this but mechanical
Ywuscore vibes
T-u-b-b-o I’m Tubbo
Absolutely! I bet it used to be a very popular song before the apocalypse! I just realized we never established how destroyed Ywuscore is from the apocalypse! I assume the apocalypse was a long time ago, I'm talking at least a couple hundred years ago. By now, buildings have definitely started to crumble and fall apart, but were any buildings destroyed in the initial apocalypse?
Also, I kinda like the idea that Tubbo and Ranboo took over a shopping mall and made that their home. All the different stores, the high ceilings, lots of supplies and parts for them, probably a couple of game stores too!
Things were made to automatically turn on and off so the lights auto turn on when the sun goes down and all the neon lights and stuff give the building a creepy vibe if you're the only one in it.

Dimensions Villains/inconveniences/antagonists
@thecatchat lets talk about “villain of the week”
I’ve always imagined it as very episodic, monster of the week kind of, with a few reoccurring obstacles. Like Dr.Who or Gravity Falls. You have your Daleks and your Gideons but most stories are contained in one way or another, even if they all connect.
Every “episode” could be a one or so shot. Here im just trying to gather concepts.
••• general danger scale, not an end all be all
Quarry
- Rival kingdoms knights ••
- Politicians (rare) ••
- Random fighters •
- Bandits •
- Various mob as in monsters •
- Dream XD (rare) •••
Prowa
- Police ••
- Various mobs as in mobsters •••
- Muggers •
- Business rivals •••
- Random people looking to pick fights (rare) •
SaiSai
- Sea monsters (rare) •••
- Merfolk police ••
- Merfolk criminals •
- Pirates ••
- Navy •
- Gateways to Pyri (rare) •
Orch
- Natural disasters (rare) •••
Ywuscore
- Malfunctioning machine(s) •
- Malfunctioning machine(s) ••
- Malfunctioning machine (s) •••
- Loners (rare) ••
Pyri
- The dessert itself if Foolish isn’t with them •
And then of course they can go to made up mini-dimesnions with their onw unique obstacle(s)

As an example, let's say the more transparent a world is the more inclined it is to dimensions. More open. The more unrealistic, one could say. Note this is just the world's themselves, it's people may differ.
For example, Quarry is fairly translucent but its people are not interested nor capable of dimension travel. They aren't even really aware of the concept of other dimensions.
It's the opposite with Ywuscore where the world is darker than even Prowa. It's entirely lacking in magic, yet its (former) inhabitance found ways to travel regardless. You can see how its rim is more see-through, that's because they sanded down its reality with portals.
Sometimes there are exceptions to how dimension savvy a world is. As you can tell from the SaiSai and Pyri example, certain dimensions can be closer together or even overlap. This of, course, effects if and how much the worlds are travel-able. Sometimes they're savvy but only to each other. SaiSai, despite being a fairly opaque world, is translucent when it comes to Pyri and only when it comes to Pyri.
The inbetween it literally the most translucent, it is transparent. It’s the white behind all.
----
The more solid a world is the more difficult it is for travelers to get through and into it.

Quarry
Sapnap’s home world
Dream, George, Bad, Skeppy
Fantasy
Mobs
Medieval
Magic
Dream XD is god but only of this realm
Because of this he holds a humorous respect/friendship for Karl, who is not at all a deity but as a traveler holds a position beyond any realms
Diffrent biomes for diffrent kingdoms
Several races
Dimension: awear, not capable of travel or understanding
Prowa
Quackity’s home world
Schatt and Charlie
1920s based
Mobs (but the other kind)
Animal hybrids race
Geography like the US but more emphases on cities
Dimension: unaware
Pyri
Foolish’s land
Ancient Egypt inspired
So, endless desert
lots of relly cool buildings
works kind of like fae land?
Connects to SaiSai
Dimensions: aware but ignorant
SaiSai
Puffy, Niki, and Jack
Mostly water.
Two races, those underwater are vastly greater in numbers
Jack is 1/4th merling
Niki is a merling
Puffy is 100% land walker
Foolish is a God in mythology
Only aware of other dimensions in Pyri, as it overlaps with them
Ywuscore
Cyberpunk, futuristic
Tubbo’s homeworld but he lives in Sleepy
Fudny’s but he lives in Orch
Post-post-post-apocalypse
Barely populated at all, most people stick to themselves
Robots but like organic. Like bugs.
Everything still functions, there’s just no one using it.
Formerly(?) aware of dimensions but now unable to travel
Portals can be found with some luck but rarely function
The Sleepy Stow
Philza’s world
He’s a like a semi-god? Just left of Foolish, just below XD. He can leave but he takes the world with him in a way
The world itself resembles Phil’s hardcore world but can really be shaped into whatever he wants (with some effort)
The sleepy bois hang out there but they travel frequently
They can change their forms based on what dimension they’re in
Technoblade actually went to Quarry for a while and made himself a legend via his battle with Dream
Wilbur is more of a drifter but he makes a habit of visiting Prowa

1. It'll be fun to balance the neon and holographic aesthetic with the floral and natural aesthetic. Like, 80s Solarpunk is how it's best described in my mind. I've got the 80s TV tropes, and I'm just going to brainstorm some general stuff. Analog tech reached a high point, including CDs and cassettes, huge hairdos and shoulder pads, "nothing says success like excess", massive franchises built around TV shows and toys with those "educational segments" at the end of the shows, practically everything had an animated adaptation, the concept of power dressing, cyberpunk was popular (use to parallel Ywuscore? Or help Karl explain what happened to Ywuscore?), jazzcercise, dystopia stories were also popular, the notion that it was bad to wear fur started gaining traction, fashion trends tended to be unisex, neon city, brown was the popular color for the first half of the decade while neon became popular in the later half, satanic panic, slasher movies, training montages, vapor wear, valley girl,
3. OOOO!!!!! I love the thought of her having the building vision! It makes so much sense! She's probably got her own timey-wimey detector like doctor who, lol.
I think she can do it with a mindset/focus, I especially like your idea of the horns and tail coming out with protectiveness, not anger, and the wings (maybe her colors get the slightest bit to moderately washed out in natural light too? Except for her smoke and eyes, which stay just as vibrant, that would be cool) Come out with free-spiritness! I also think they can come out as like, a reaction/survival instinct, like if it gets too hot or they touch something really hot, boom, horns, feelings of vertigo or falling, boom, wings. I think the Smoke can be summoned with Curiosity, as a nod to Azure being Curiosity and Karl's eternal desire to learn!
9. Ooo, if we want it subtler, what if just the tips of the hair glow, like the ends of fiber optic cables? Or, for more flashy, the color shifts around her hair, like if smoke was a patterned design on their hair that kept moving around? Maybe it would just be solid Azure?
Edit: Whoops posted a little early!
10. I totally agree! Azure should have a different effect, not just because it's in a new dimension, but because Azure, as a lense, learned from Ywuscore and the destruction it brought there!
So like, instead of being a director/Muse, it just passively "encourages"/influences them to ask more questions and imagine more. Maybe it is occasionally the reason behind a "stuck on this problem for a week" sudden epiphany, but it's more like giving the last little nudge to make it over the hump instead of dragging people into it's vision.
You know what I realized is probably going to have tons of new stuff because of this: cooking, baking, agriculture, and the creative arts. Because, while yes, there's definitely technology advancements going on, the culture and nature surrounding Orch are very important to the residents. Because when Azure isn't controlling the creativity, just fueling it, everyday people are going to start having fun ideas for a new recipe, a fun story idea, how to win the bake sale this year, etc.
Orch: people are based around a technology (or tech based job) and a flower/plant. Or just a plant, because I can't think of that many techs or tech themed jobs. For vibes, maybe Solarpunk lofi 80s? Like, yah, there's VHS tapes and skate boards and classic 80s cartoons, but there's also plants everywhere, instead of branded cereal box commercials and all that junk food, it's commercials for different farmers markets, claims of having the brightest and tastiest fruit, thick and overgrown woods with walking paths made by generations of people walking to the same areas to hang out.
Grape Vine + radio host
? + photographer - Orch mother adopts Alex
How much did Alex figure out about their powers before Karl showed up? What are their powers? Does their blood burn to the touch? Are they fire proof? What do the other Orch residents think?
Instead of a single mother figure, what if they're adopted by a group of people? Like a bunch of construction workers and engineers? Or a group of teenagers that hang out in the woods? Or something like that? I personally like the idea of the construction workers because since Orch is a blend of technology and plants, they'd double as florists.
Alex: hey, I'm hungry. When's lunch?
Worker: Ah, in a bit. Should be hitting a good stopping point in about an hour.
Alex: okay.
Alex, ten minutes later: I found a snack.
Worker, turning around: You didn't steal that from anyone's lunch did... you?
Alex, chewing on hot coals with glowing red eyes: No, I got it from the fire pit.
Just, picturing this construction company of guys of varying ages all adopting this weird... girl? Person? That came out of some really weird fog that overtook one of their construction sites and made terrifying noises. They would also be the ones to eventually realize that something is changing as Azure moves in slowly and starts messing with stuff.
What if their eyes are really vibrant under electrical lights but super dull under sunlight? Like Prowa but only for their eyes? And when she's using fire powers they always glow bright red?
Just Alex traveling across dimensions and regularly visiting her hord of uncles.
Also, what were they wearing when they first arrived? It would feel weird to have them not wearing any clothes. I think a weird mismatch of all three clothes and styles would be fun. I can't really research to get a good image but my idea is: dress slacks (Cue), a commoners cotton? Shirt (Saponite), a leather overcoat stained in a multitude of colors (Karl). Then the accessories! Maybe like, a single glove (Cue), one shoe is a sneaker (Karl) and the other is an armored boot (Saponite), chunky goggles with one red lense and one blue lens, maybe a hat with a feather, could be like a newsies cap or a baseball cap, or even a leather satchel (could have nothing in it, could have something in that).
Imagine seeing someone wearing that outfit walk out of this weird blue fog and start making eltrich noises at you. Then you and all your buddies adopt them. Crazy.
Also, have we decided on a hair color for Alex? Or a general appearance? I think we said they could swap between the different powers but like, do they have horns at first? Do they grow in? Do they have wings at first? Do the wings grow in? Are the horns or wings summoned? I thought we had a good grasp on Alex and now I'm realizing we really don't? Or at least we haven't talked about them in a long time.
Yah, sorry if this is a lot of things to throw at you at once but this was all written as a sort of stream of consciousness and trying to divide it up made it all confusing.
Long stuff here
1. How sold are you on the 80s aesthetic for Orch? I remember Orch’s Vibes is like on the verge of an Industrial Revolution, a bit more old timey and like a Western but in a forest if I remember correctly? Steampunk in the way it’s Victorian/old timey but full of advanced machinery. Small town feels.
Actually, we could easily keep both. I like that idea. Makes sense for Orch to be Rural anyhow. I really like the thicket you make.
2. If they become characters can we name the grape radio host Venny? Ideas for the photographer: a bonsai tree?
3. [1/2] Depends, how old do we think Alex is? I’d like for her to be on the younger side, maybe 6-8 ish? I think it’s more weird things happen around her at first.
Things to consider:
• Her Karl adjacent powers would probably relate a lot more to the Azure Lens than the Between.
• She probably has her others powers depending on what form she’s in.
• What are the residents of Orch like biologically? Her forms would depend on this. I don’t think she should stand out too much. (Maybe she can shift—at will or on accident—but keeps to the woods when she does and becomes or feeds into a local cryptid/ghost-like story.)
3. [2/2] I think everyone definitely knows she’s weird. Just like that odd little girl who comes around my store or hangs out near my garage or is in the library.
The people who are close to her understand she’s magical in some way (especially since Orch is a more solid dimension) but have no idea what to do about it and since they’ve come to love her they just to that and treat her like the sweet little kid she is—weird cryptic stuff aside.
Actually, the 80s era aesthetic gives me an idea. Are you aware of the kids on bikes troupe? It’s A sort of ET/Stranger things/Goonies/most 80s neighborhood sci fi troupe where a bunch of kids/teens go out and discover [adventure].
4. LOVE the idea of a demi beyond-god being raised by a confused but well-meaning village (most of whom think she’s just a bit strange, explainable from the fact she appears to be a homeless orphan just wandering around on her own. The construction workers taking care of her when they can (unable to actually do anything at first since they don’t actually KNOW anything about her and taking her against her will would be kidnapping. eventually group adopting her.
5. AHHHH EVEN BETTER. Troupe of raising the antichrist into a good person just by being good people ks my favorite!!!! She’s not an antichrist figure obviously but she is an extremely powerful and easily destructive demi beyondgod. Just doing Weird slightly evil looking things.
6. She’s probably really smart when it comes to contraptions. She’ll catch on fast and point out ideas in the construction/engineer’s people’s work as she hangs out with them. In that way kids are just randomly brilliantly.
7. YEAH LIKE FROM PROWA AND KARL COMBINED! Glowing from Saph, pale colors from Cue, and vibrance/shiny from Karl, and the blue colors/electric flavor of her powers from the Azure.
8. I love this hodgepodge child!! And I forgot about her languages being strange at first.
9. I don’t think we’ve come up with anything specific. I’ve been imagining her as having semi-curly black hair that glows bright turquoise in certain light? Cue and Saphonite both have black hair (oo maybe Saph has ember like patterns down it?)
Maybe she has strands of hair that will kind of change color subtly like Karl’s.

I felt the other chart wasn’t very exact so here’s a more clear charts of the solidness/translucency of the dimensions without the specifics of how they overlap or have had their people change them. These are all the same black circle with different levels of opaqueness.
Sleepy - 11%
Pyri - 26%
Quarry - 45%
SaiSai - 74%
Prowa - 83%
Ywuscore - 91%
Here’s some ideas of the dimensions:
Ywuscore
Because of Ywuscore’s lost civilization’s manmade it is easy to leave but remains hard to enter. It is almost entirely empty of life.
Prowa
Prowa has no sun and colors under natural light are desaturated to the point of almost appearing black and white.
SaiSai
SaiSai is almost entirely water (96%), although it’s oceans are usually not nearly as deep as ours.
Quarry
*note things are not actually in blocks there, it’s just based heavily on minecraft. Consider each biome a kingdom, including the nether kingdom which is not it’s own dimension but rather its own space of land. One of the largest kingdoms it consists of several smaller factions (made up of the nether biomes.
Pyri
Again, it’s not really blocks but you get the idea. Pyri is kind of like a fae world in that it’s impossible to navigate on your own. It does not follow the same sense of direction and time, walking for five minuets in one direction could mean needing to walk ten to the side to be back where you started, and that’s one of the simplest possible directions. Even Karl, who’s probably the only person it isn’t impossible for, sticks with Foolish here.
Sleepy
This one’s tricky. It’s technically smaller than most other dimensions and generally appears like Phil’s hardcore world but it is so loose and faint it can really be anything he wants. Standing in it is like your always simultaneously daydreaming, the way you do when you’re on the verge of sleep.

Hey, just a thought but did we ever establish what Ranboo is in this AU? Maybe he could be a half endermen in Ywuscore, who develops the ability to "travel" at some point and when Karl goes to visit, Tubbo is freaking out because he knows Tommy is seriously grounded that week and can't help him. Maybe this could expand the Lore of Travelers and their community and the differences between them and Karl?
Like I imagine one big difference is that Karl can very easily and even blindly pick a new dimension to travel to, while a normal "traveler" needs to focus on a particular subject or concept to get to new dimensions, it's easier if you're told about a dimension by someone who's been there before. The idea of sorta, closing your eyes and blindly picking a new dimension to travel to, doesn't work, except for Karl.
Ranboo could end up being something like an apprentice to Karl until he and Tubbo stumble apon a half child half android that was falling apart, that they named Michael. And then he ends up "stepping down" from being a Traveler to be there for Michael and Tubbo.
In the back of my mind I had sort of placed him as just an End citizen in Quarry but Ranboo coming from unethical portal science world that's fallen like Icarus has my mind going wrrrrrrrr.
Maybe Ywscore people started traping travelers aided by the Azure in their disregard and aloofness in order to try to complete their portals? That's how Alex could have been tied in, if Karl was caught but it simply half-killed killed him and that bit left is how she was formed? He didn’t think anything of it, possibly doesn't even remember it as he was sewn/pulled back together in a blip. Ranboo was caught in one and was skewed in a way.
I think, unlike Crimson Azure has no interest in spreading. Instead, it’s focused on a single dimension to go through with its brazen curiosity.
I think you’re right and we oughtta to redefine what a Traveler is now that Karl has a more specific Special thing as the Prism.

ATTENTION: THIS AU IS GOING TO BE REVAMPED INTO A ORIGINAL STORY. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROCESS. THANK YOU.
The gist is Karl is a Traveler who runs through dimensions (however, he discovers he’s a bit more than that), Saponite is from a medieval dimension that is essentially minecraft (Quarry), Cue is from a 1920s themes world (Prowa) and they all go on adventures finding friends across dimensions and putting the universe back together.
Asks are welcome!

This song reminds me of Azure
I don't think links work for me in asks. Could you put it in a reblog? Also, are we talking dimensions AU or babysitting AU?
No wait! Now that I posted it the link works fine! I do like the vibe of it! Very Ywuscore/Azure feeling! All the beeping and stuff is nice sounding!

The Inbetween having rooms for each dimension is such a fun concept! I nearly forgot about it! Each room can have something of a different style or purpose? Like some are bed rooms, some are like living rooms, some are like bars, etc.
Quarry's room is like a mix of a royal ballroom, a bed room, and an armory. Candles and lanterns light up the room and never burn out. A row of cabinets provide outfits for every occasion in Quarry. (What do Quackity and Karl wear in Quarry?)
Prowa's room is like a lounge/kitchen/open area, with a little dance floor area. The bar is fully stocked and the moment you look away from a even slightly empty bottle it replenishes. Stacks apon stacks of records provide an endless amount of music. The outfits are stored in a side "coat" closet.
Saisai has a pool and probably a map room of sorts, Pyri is like an office/work space but specifically for planning and building stuff like statues or buildings, Sleepy has a tea room with comfy couches and board games, Ywuscore has like a tech room?
Wait, do you think the Inbetween would create a room specifically for alex?
You know what more people need to play into Mad Scientist Karl. I know it’s not canon and he has no idea what’s up with the traveling but he’s got the goggles and the swirls and I want him to build things and have Sapnap have to physically pick up and drag him to him to bed because he stays up all night tinkering with equations.
I want him to have a screwdriver. A regular screwdriver. Almost all problems can be solved with a screwdriver. I want him to murder someone with a screwdriver after they try to mess with him or Quackity or Sapnap.
I will give him… a lab coat.

Muave being like a patron! Like in dnd! That's so cool!! Like, they don't do it for power or souls or anything, they do it because they like it and sometimes it's easier to get gifts from certain dimensions by having a local grab it for them! People keep offering souls, but Muave declines because they don't need souls, instead they collect little gifts for their family and other trinkets that catches their eye.
Karl, Lark, and Alex all have the habit of just collecting piles of Stuff like dragon hords. Karl has books and stories, Lark has animals and plants, what would Alex collect?
Kid and Alex meeting, Quackity is really hoping that his kids they both get along,
Alex: "Hey cool! I've got a brother now!"
Kid, not comprehending that Q would absolutely adopt him if he asked: "um, what?"
Alex: "hm, yah, brother sounds awkward. How about cousin?"
Kid: "... Alright. Guess I have a cousin now."
Alex in Prowa: casual pants, long sleeved shirt, vest with wing holes, a hair ribbon. The color combo is nearly as bad as Karl's.
Alex in Quarry: for casual, a simple shirt, pants, and an overcoat of some kind, probably has something with Sapnaps family crest on it. For fancy, a gown and a suit overcoat, also probably a matching ribbon to Sapnap's bandana.
Alex in the in-between: looks like an actual glitch, you've got parts that are white and opalescent like Karl's, but then there are splotches and patches of material and colors from Prowa and Quarry. The actual shape of the outfit is a lot like Karl's, with a shirt, pants, and a trench/lab coat on top. Not sure how to make it very different.
Also. I know we've talked about Sam being inspired by the Azure, but never possessed or attached! That honestly could pull a lot of lose strings together! Sam, being a care taker or neighbor, maybe even teacher, to Alex, letting Azure keep an eye on their creations progress. The whole thing with moving Azure to Orch could be that it needs an anchor from the dimension it came from (ywuscore) to the dimension it's going to, Fundy essentially was like casting a hook out into the ocean, and Azure wanted a properly smart person to hook onto (because hooking onto someone is going to inevitably inspire the person) and it used Sam.
Karlnapity Dimensions brainrot but I have no coherent thoughts so it's just my brain going, "ksqD, ksqD, we want new thoughts for ksqD" but I'm out of brain power, spent it all on homework.
Have any spare ksqD thoughts?
Babysitter AU Mauve getting teased by the rest of the lenses (except spider) for being a "pet" AKA mostly wanting to be support for people as is their nature. Generally being cool and mature and creeping out whoever they get attached to and try to help even while they're being polite and useful. Essentially being a patron.
Also any of the lenses getting insulted by someone and not even paying attention to it like "Sorry, I have nine siblings. You're gonna have to do better than that"
Kid and Alex being like cousins and different ouutfits alex would have for each of her dad's worlds.
And i've been thinking about Orch and the azure arc again. Not much to add, just thinking about it. Especially Sam getting attached/possessed/inspired by the azure.

What do you mean removed? If it's on the Google doc I might have moved it somewhere else but I don't remember doing anything like that. I'm sure the original post is still there from when we discussed it!
Okay so, their story for Quarry is that Alex is Karl's child, got it. They just happen to have a bit of Q and S in there too, but they don't mention that part.
Schlatt and Charlie immediately back tracking on the explanation!!!♡♡♡!!! Love it!
Ah! Kid probably is the one to tell Tubbo about his urban legend status! They definitely end up sneaking Tubbo into a theater to see it, with the help of Alex and maybe Quackity too.
Between befriending Tommy, Tubbo, and Alex, Kid definitely ends up getting dragged along on adventures outside of Prowa! Probably to Ywuscore most of the time. That group is absolutely chaos incarnet! Tommy is the only traveler in the group so they tend to only go to dimensions in pairs or trio's but every now and then they'll muster up the energy for full group trips. Whenever they are in a full group they forfeit all of the brain cells to Kid.
I think Alex uses Orch as their home dimension and while I don't think they can create portals to different dimensions, but maybe portals to different places in the same dimension? I think we also gave her time travel but I think that could be somewhat paradox inducing and maybe not. I think they could do some reality warping like Karl does but it could be more tiring for them?
Hey I just had a thought for dimensions: what are everyone's families reactions to learning about Alex?
Like Sapnap might be nervous to introduce Alex because it might be taboo to have a child with someone before marriage, although Sapnap had practically no involvement in the making of Alex, it's still a complicated situation. I think Bad and Skeppy would be really excited to have a grandkid to spoil and Dream and George are happy to be uncles.
Quackity has no idea what Schlatt and Charlie's reactions might be, but I think their reactions are pretty mellow and positive until Quackity asks them to be uncles, which makes them both really excited (they both cry tears of joy but they will deny it to their dying breaths).
Also, Alex joking that Kid is their brother and having a sibling relationship! I think they would get along really well!
I think Sapnap gets away with it because technically she’s just Karl’s and was for before they realized it. marrying someone with children is not too socially straining.
Schlatt and Charlie are probably secretly delighted but mostly confused. They’re additude is “good for you but where— I mean how did this happen? What is she?” He starts to explain and they immediately cut him off like “okay actually we don’t want to know we like having un-melted brains. Congratulations.” (I mean— she is kind of a cosmic accident/clone/lens incarnate. How’s he supposed to explain that?)
Switch is probably “neat, another one of these freaks (affectionate) but like my age.” Tommy, Ranboo, Alex, Tubbo, and Kid are a terror to Society.
That reminds me! You removed the one episode I mentioned a while back where Tommy and Tubbo get stuck on Prowa looking for Wilbur + Schlatt has to basically babysit two interdimensional teenagers (Tubbo who’s hopped up on Prowian electricity and Tommy who’s wiped out from all the energy it took to get through Prowa’s rim)? I was thinking about how Tubbo might have become sort of an urban legend, like the kind they’d make a cheesy black and white flick about. I can image it in an old paper front page “The Automaton Boy”
