The fear god (A yuri focused fic)
The Corps.
A facility that upholds itself in the highest standard. Filled with research analysts, ex-military personnel, and horrifying monsters the likes nobody has seen.
The organization is hellbent on keeping  humanities best interests in mind. These monsters are sometimes beneficial, and intend to help out humanity.
The others are locked away, or neutralized.
The fear god has become a threat lately, and it’s Konni cult had been suffering losses.
Yuri is the missing key, but even he has conflicting loyalties in his conscience.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing was ever easy.
Nothing is ever easy.
Nothing will be easy.
Yuri repeated the mantra in his head. He was originally of high status, and now found by a man who went by Soap. The lonely street corner he was sitting at months ago was on his mind.
Makarov could have killed him. His insolence proved him to be disposable. He was taken in by the Corps after, an elusive organization hellbent on keeping humanities best interests in mind.
He met a lot of odd fellas here, and he wasn’t expecting any of his old comrades to even be here. As elusive as the Corps is, the Konni cult is far more likely to be four steps ahead.
Nobody in the organization knew of Yuri’s origins. He briefly mentioned supernatural dealings, but never disclosed his previous life to others. His clothes were always hyper modest in fashion.
Nobody knew if he was allergic to the air around the facility, but his skin never stayed exposed. It wouldn't be too uncommon for someone as new as him to be this closed off. The mystery man simply did his work, and reported to the ever elusive Triad organized by the corps.
Yuri, now seated at his desk, begrudgingly stared at the stack of paperwork he was made to do. He knew he wasn't trusted yet, and his effort to appear like an ally was futile. The mere fact that he couldn't even speak to others of his situation made him look suspicious at any given time. He was required to report where he is at all times, and keep a time log of the things he ate.
It was never easy having your privacy completely invaded by men that would rather see you dead. He knew he was only alive for being the missing link needed in the Triad’s  investigation. Being an ex-cultist never helped anyones reputation, but he was blinded with false promises of fortune and security in a new world.
Makarov was a silver tongued monster, both literally and figuratively. Yuri was never sure what parts of his life were ever real or which ones were fake.
He stared down at his papers deep in thought. The buzzing of the fluorescent lights above him always made these moments of dissociation worse. He thought there was no point in thinking about his past after escaping. He never wanted to be involved in anything Konni related after his life of clarity. Yuri always felt a pang of guilt hit him at times. He knew he had blood on his hands, and blood caused him to be close to the fear god.
Makarov always fed off his fear, and oh was it delicious to the beast. It felt worse when he was complicit in any of the terror attacks. The hypnotic trances always got to him, and surviving was easier said than done. He knew he could have been the next one to go when another fellow cultist was devoured. Yuri was well aware of his use, and made sure he ran away. He ran away and took Makarov’s food source with him.
He was used to being replaceable; Yuri rubbed his temples, and pushed himself to write on paper. He did not want to do so. It did not matter to him if he did not want to do so, as he did it since he found himself in the same position as he was before. He was yet again, replaceable at the hands of people who'd rather discard him. He somehow always found himself useful in both situations. He knew his luck would run out eventually.
He did not take much time on his paperwork, as he was urgently needed for the next briefing. He is a part of the 141, a task force designed to neutralize threats.  The 141 were infamous for their monster slaying methods. As questionable as they were, the corp was thankful that they took care of threats to humanity pretty well. After all, they are the Shadow task force’s sister branch. Each task force was led by a commander, and each is selected based upon several careful evaulations.
Yuri knew he was thankful to be alive due to Hershel Shepherd, Kate Laswell, and Phillip Graves. The three commanders found his use in their case to be exceptional, as they have killed and captured several more Konni cultists. Trudging himself to the conference, he seemed surprised to learn he was finally allowed to join the 141 in this endeavor.
“We apologize if we had been harsh before, but it was a precautionary measure. It is true that you were previously a Konni cultist, correct?” Laswell spoke, she was the more level-headed of the three branch commanders. She is in charge of the Rangers, an internal security branch.
Yuri paused, and answered as truthfully as he could. “Yes ma’am, I was part of that organization,” Yuri struggled to speak up about his past, but he managed to pull through.
“Konni cultists are individuals who are brainwashed past suggestibility. I was once stripped of my humanity and under the control of the fear god,’ He fidgeted with his hands, and looked around.
“To break free from his suggestibility, you would need to have attachments and something to lose.” Yuri put emphasis on his words, and hoped that it was enough to pique the triad's interest.
The triad did not need to know of his rather intimate relationship with Makarov. He thought he would be in the clear, since he made it seem like he was a lowly ranked cultist. Yuri did not make it known that he was an inner circle soldier. He was one of the more individuals, at least before his semblance of humanity came back to him.
Yuri thought it felt ironic that Makarov was the reason for his humanity returning to him. He knew that most of his ex-cultist colleagues were too fearful of Makarov, as was he.
He snapped back into reality. Shepherd commented on his mental state; Yuri felt shame of embarrassment creep up on his neck. “Look at em, poor thing can’t even concentrate. Are you sure he’d even be a valuable asset?”
The light brunette, Graves, spoke in turn. “Come on guys, give ‘im a benefit of the doubt, ‘m sure I think he’d be better off bubble wrapped and tethered.” The man had a mild Texan drawl to his voice—he chuckled at his own joke.
How corny can one man get? Yuri’s thought was interrupted, this time by Laswell. He watched the blond woman chime in.
“I believe the best course of action is to let my department take him in .” She stated as a matter-of-fact, “The task force excelled in neutralizing several aberrations, and a single man can be handled if he ever decides to go rogue.”  Laswell stated; she is serious about this.
“Very well then, I approve,” Shepherd spoke up, he continued to talk, Yuri could barely stand his voice, “After all, I wouldn’t want to take in any stray dogs in my department.”
“That’s a good one Shepherd, as I wouldn’t want em’ in my field either.” Graves shined in yet again, he participated nothing to the conversation.
He is good at his job. Yuri noted this fact, but other than that; he was horrible at these conferences.
Yuri hated that they spoke about him as if he was lesser. He deserved it for being a terrorist, but it was as if he had less human rights than before.
Perhaps Makarov’s brainwashing hadn’t ever gone away.
Yuri was still deep in thought as the meeting was over, and he was made to follow Laswell through the building.
He walked into the task force barrack, and there he stayed behind Laswell. Yuri didn’t feel like speaking up, but Laswell had priorities.
She spoke up, and repeated most of what the Triad council told him. He is meant to be an extra, and nothing more.
Yuri was suddenly taken aback when he was approached by a man in goggles. The silent individual signed hands, his scraggly brown hair indicating that he had survived many burns…as the tips of his hair were seared to the point of seeming as if he had—oh wait, those actually are antennae!?
“Hello-?”
He waved awkwardly at the individual. The same guy signed something else, and looked at Yuri with a tilt to his head.
“Roach?”
The strange individual nodded, and seemed to inspect Yuri.
“Ah don’t mind the lad, he’s a curious fella and wants to know what the hell is wrong with ye’”
A second guy chimed in, he had a buzz cut accompanied with this Mohawk,  and a very light Scottish accent. This is the man that found him and dragged his ass here, John Mctavish, also known as Soap.
Yuri spoke up, and in short he sighed.
“Long time no see, I was held up with papers…”
“I Can tell.” Soap snickered, and seemed to enjoy Yuri’s look of annoyance
“You find me off the street, recognize my tattoos, and take me in only to do paperwork for months.” Yuri sighed, and grumbled with defiance. He was a patient man, but sometimes patience even has its own short fuse.
“I thought I was the missing link between the cult and you guys?”
“You are, until the Captain decides to further know if your story matches up. The duplicate paperwork was on purpose, yes, I told you this fact before you ask.”
A fellow with a black balaclava and skull mask spoke . He was short and blunt. The guy seems to scan for his every move, even before he does it. Beside him, there is this dark skinned individual with a cap on his head. The man wore sunglasses on him while indoors.
That was strange...
The individuals all converse about their time being here. Yuri was mostly silent, and talked mostly with the individual named Roach.
The more Yuri spent with 141, the more he got used to them. He was grateful to have people he felt at ease with, even if they’d kill him, should he ever have any semblance of turning against them.
The hours seem to pass by, and a much older brunette with a full mustache and beard combo walks in to complete the members of 141. The captain himself, John Price.
“Alright listen up everyone!” Price spoke with authority. He is definitely the man you’d want to talk to if you want things to be done right.
The task force kills supernatural threats, and Yuri himself  knows they are dangerous with a hint of crazy.
“We aren’t field scouting yet, but a new prisoner came in. We just need Yuri to show them that we aren’t just going to outright kill the fella.”
Yuri’s head finally perked up. All of these briefings were so boring, but he finally had a chance to talk to an old comrade. He wanted to know how Makarov was doing—ugh. Why is Makarov stuck in his head, he should be free from his influence.
His eyes stared down onto the floor. When the briefing was over, he dragged his feet to follow the team…
His eyes wandered to several containment cells, each holding various objects. His eyes landed on a certain book for a while, it was nothing special. The book seemed to be aged and yellowed out.
It was a blank book, but red lines started to form into shapes the more he became entranced by it. He didn’t have time to see what went on as he was pulled along the corridor.
His savior from the trance, Roach, shook his head.
This strange guy with goggles and a respirator mask was sure helpful. He seemed friendlier than the rest, and his antennae looked almost adorable now. Yuri questioned if he is one of those bug people. He tried to inspect Roach for a while, and kept the same pace as the bug boy.
After what seemed like an eternity of walking through corridors, Yuri and the team stopped in front of a door.
He felt impending doom settle in his skin, and hoped the prisoner wouldn’t recognize him. It was hard for the Primordials to even get to witness any members of the inner circle, much less any Newblood recruits.
The chamber door opened with a mechanical hiss. His blood ran cold at the sound.
He laid his eyes upon the individual. He didn’t recognize him at first, but then the dress started to seep in.
“Oh, not him…”

Kitty had thought that Yuri was drop-dead gorgeous from the moment she met her. She had felt her heart pound heavily that night at Min Ho's party, before she dreamed of all their tension and the release that kissing her red-lipsticked candy lips would provide. She thought it as they danced together at the talent show, butterfly wings fluttering in her stomach as they moved their fans like Luna moths rather than monarchs.
But none of that had prepared her for this.
Min Ho sat on the floor of her new dorm room, tossing pop rocks at her and rambling about his mom's new movie. "Oh, Min Ho," she said. "You do not want to start throwing candy at me."
"But... I do," he said. "I know you stole my buckwheat hand cream." He shrugged. "Just admit it. And you can make all this," he threw another pop rock at her, "stop."
"Mmm," Kitty hummed, "no. A little extra cleaning later isn't worth admitting to something that I definitely didn't do." Her voice was filled with false bravado; they both knew that she was in fact guilty.
"I'll dump them over your head if need be," Min Ho said.
"Sure you will. It's your way of saying, 'I'm glad you stayed, Kitty. I'm so happy you weren't expelled because-"
She cut herself off.
She had to.
Because the most beautiful girl ever had walked into the room.
Yuri wore a pink cardigan, eye-grabbing and soft. Her sweater paws covered her hands, showing nothing but the bright blue nails that matched her undershirt. She was a rainbow...
And Kitty felt her suck in a breath.
Because...
Her hair.
Her hair, that was so soft to touch, was... well, different.
Instead of long locks, she now had luscious layers. The bottom cut off at her shoulders, framing her strong chin and bringing out the hardness of her jawline while still accentuating the softness of her cheeks.
It suited her.
Oh, how it suited her.
And how Kitty's face was warming as Min Ho looked from Kitty to Yuri and back again. They stared at each other for a moment, and Kitty smiled brightly as Yuri walked over to her.
"Hey," she said. Her winged eyeliner was sharp, but the corners of her eyes were crinkled as she smiled that odd little half-smirk that Kitty had imagined so often over their school break. That smile that Kitty had anticipated seeing again every time she closed her eyes.
"Hey," she said back, and Yuri shoved her hands into her cardigan pockets. "You look..."
"Awkward?"
"No," Yuri replied. "I was going to say 'well.'"
"Oh... yeah." Kitty nodded, feeling like an idiot. "I am. Well, I mean."
Yuri raised an eyebrow. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Oh," Kitty said, scrambling for a reason. God, her cheeks burned. Her stomach fluttered. "I was just thinking... your hair."
"I know," Yuri rolled her eyes. "It's a mess."
"At least you know it," Min Ho chimed in, and Kitty and Yuri glared at him in unison.
"No," Kitty said. Then, in a quieter voice, "I was going to say that it looked..." Exquisite. Gorgeous. Luscious. Adorable. Sexy. "Good," she concluded lamely. "It looks good."
"Mmmm, thanks," Yuri said. "But not much of a compliment, as I look good in anything."
"Yeah," Kitty said. "You do."
"You're being weird," Yuri said. "Why are you being weird?"
"I'm not," Kitty protested.
"Yes. You are," Minho interjected. "Then again, when are you not?"
"Hey." Kitty held a hand up at Min Ho. "I prefer quirky."
"That feels more accurate," Yuri said. "But your quirks are cute, yeah?"
Cute. Cute. Cute. She thinks I'm cute.
It means nothing. You're friends. The next generation.
So Kitty forced herself to smile. "Thanks," she said.
"Now come on," Yuri said impatiently. "Let's go get some lunch. I bet you're dying for some Kimchee after weeks of nothing but bland American food."
"It's not bland."
Min Ho laughed. "It definitely is. I've had baked chicken."
Yuri nodded sadly. "It hurts to agree with Min Ho, but yeah. Here, Come with me." She grabbed Kitty's arm and started to lead her out the door, and Kitty's arm felt electric everywhere that they made contact.
It means nothing, Kitty reminded herself again.
And she walked out of the room arm-in-arm with her friend. The one that she was in love with.
She didn't even care if she came back to a bed full of pop rocks, because she was here.
She was home. With her friends. With the ever-present phantom hands of her mother stroking her hair and laughing in the breeze.
And that was enough.

anyway, i feel like oomfs care about my opinion, so ill outline what i personally find to be the appeal of c0e is and if anyone wants to ask about it by any means is welcome to investigate such interest to their heart's content
it's probably a disorganized and unappealing list, because im not good at shopping things i like around, im not good at talking about what i like, but please believe in me. there's a fan translation on youtube, tbh the tone of it is a little flat (no its really flat), but it gets the job done for the most part. for untranslated parts? well.. idk... there are summaries im willing to point you to though
the cast is mostly adult and above 25. i feel like this isn't really an appeal point, or rather i feel like saying this is the same level of low tier bait as "theres rep!!!" but you know. i actually did enjoy this aspect enough to suggest it
the protagonist is kind of a sardonic hero, he is very curt and blunt. i like it a lot. but he's a good guy too.
for those who like SCP, there is an SCP-like element to the first quarter of the game i'm sure would tickle your fancy. it persists throughout, but most of the funny creatures are in the first quarter
the portrayal of the cult that the story is centered on and how its victims act is something i enjoyed very much. despite the horrific things that occurred, i feel for all of them*. from the point of view of outsiders. from the point of view of people who were there from the start. from the point of view of those who were born into it. from the point of view of newcomers. it is a master class in the subject matter imo.
my favorite character is an anime girl (26 year old man). he is very good and very cute and there's no way they let him suffer so much i might actually die
the thoroughline of generational trauma only gets deeper as you go down the story.
i like the body horror in it a lot.
there's a lot of violence. i like it.
there is a light element of cannibalism but it is not something that the story brings attention to. you're welcome to hallucinate about it with me though
low tier bait: there's a quirky scientist guy who is a little crazy
more low tier bait: there's catholic old man yaoi (actually its yuri to me. anyway)
it's a story with 30 different genres so it is bound to please someone. seriously the game is so twisty and turny
MY ANIME GIRL (26 YEAR OLD MAN) IS SO CUTE. CAN YOU MEET HIM?!?!!!!
you'll meet my 60 year old babygirl also. sorry i can't talk about this one. but you have to trust me
there is a decent amount of yandere in here (TO ME)
no crying until the end :')))))))))))))))))))
there is dlc that goes into the backstories of some of the cast and it is some of the best writing ive seen in my life. Hurts
the game has the best use of ave maria i have ever seen. to the point where now whenever i hear ave maria randomly my muscles tense up. i just heard it last night in a pokemon showdown vid and i felt like i was in danger.
if you like the divine comedy there are like a million parallels to that on purpose. it is a direct and consist allusion in the story. even a part of the japanese title (神曲) is derived from the japanese title for the divine comedy. it is kind of based on it in a sense
PLEASE TRUST MEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IM NOT GOOD AT TALKING ABOUT THINGS!!!!!!
it feels like an lgbt work. TO ME. (well.. about that.. well i won't tell you because im scared its a spoiler but)

Hi!! Thank you for being so respectful and sweet while you waited for me to get this done!!!
I ship you with Pietro Maximoff!
Pietro’s head is always up in the clouds
But when he meets you... even more so
He can’t stop thinking about you. Your smile. Your hair. Your laugh...
All of a sudden he’s running into a tree or something
He waits probably 3 whole minutes after you give him your number to call you
“I’m sorry. I just couldn’t stop thinking about you,” he laughs, running a hand through his hair
Your first date he sets up a late night picnic overlooking the city lights
Little fairy lights!!
It’s like the two of you are in your own little world
Once your dating your dates aren’t always as over the top
Laying on the couch and watching Netflix all day
The two of you trying to make something elaborate for dinner
Moments with you like that... he considers them dates
If you’re aloof, it’s like his life purpose to figure out why
I hope you don’t mind company because he doesn’t like leaving you alone, especially when he can tell you’re upset
Hugs you
Doesn’t necessarily talk, just hugs you until you feel better or maybe wanna talk about what’s wrong
When you zone out he just waits patiently
He knows you like to daydream so he lets you
He just hopes you’re thinking about him :)
You like animals !?
Perfect
You’re getting a pet then
He wants a dog but if you don’t necessarily want a dog he’ll negotiate
Uh if you get a dog you have to explain to him that he cannot run to walk the dog.
That is not how it works he will probably seriously injure the dog
He’s VERY careful around your pet
But likes to talk to them
Likes being a pet dad, always has picture of his pet to show off to others
Y’all already have the same taste in music
That’s one of the first things you bond over
Disagreements about which song is a band’s best
He likes to play your music while you two eat, if you don’t mind too too much
If I’m being honest he doesn’t like the sound of people chewing
But he doesn’t wanna admit that so he just offers to put on music
He had never gotten into anime before meeting you
But he’s more than excited to watch with you!
You have a whole list of shows you need to show him and sometimes you can’t help but watch multiple shows at the same time
One episode of one show, then you watch an episode of another show
He has a short attention span so honestly that’s helpful for him
Actually really enjoys the shows you watch with him
Primarily because he likes spending time with you but also he gets really invested in the shows
He really likes Yuri on ice LMAO
Victor reminds him of himself hahahahaha
And he really likes watching the skating
Like you try to take a break from YOI to eat something and he’s like NO WTF! They’re about to go to the next competition we have to find out what happens!!!!!
You slightly regret getting him to anime
But not really
Ahahaha he’s afraid of horror movies
Pretends to be all tough the first time you watch
But it’s his first ever horror movie
Jumps, sending the popcorn flying
Even a zillion horror movies later, he spends half the movie watching from in between his fingers bc he’s covering his face
Hides in your shoulder
For a while you thought it was just his way of being close to you but no
He’s actually that afraid of horror movies haha
Never shuts up about how pretty you are
Likes to look at you in the morning when the sunlight shines in through the curtains
He thinks your eyes are so beautiful
You make him so soft
And Wanda LOVES YOU
She can tell how much Pietro cares about you
Sometimes you have girls days
You go get your nails done or something cheesy bc she thinks that’s what girls do all the time to hang out
She’s had to come over a few times to make you and Pietro food when your experiments fail
But she doesn’t mind at all
Because she can’t get over how happy Pietro his
He’s never been this happy before
And it’s all because of you 🥺

Honeyglaze, Opus Kink, The Caress, Madonnatron. (30 Jan 2020)
London has her fair share of quirky music venues, but you couldn't get much quirkier than Paper Dress Vintage: clothes shop by day, music venue extraordinaire by night.
Tumblr media
To celebrate Independent Venue Week, Paper Dress Vintage teamed up with Egyptian Elbows to bring a musical extravaganza that will not be forgotten any time soon. Last night's headline act was Madonnatron, but we were so happy that we got there early to enjoy the three (yes, three!) support acts. One in particular brought the house down. More about them later. The evening began with a charming little band from London called Honeyglaze (photo, below), comprised of Anouska Sokolow (vocals, guitar), Tim (bass) and Yuri (drums). At times reminiscent of Welsh indie darling Cate Le Bon, Anouska fronted what proved to be a solid and most enjoyable set.
Tumblr media
The one thing you can say about Anouska is her diction when singing is impeccable. You can hear every single word, and her songs really tell a story. This is a band with something to say.
Tumblr media
Tim also has a fine voice on him, and the penultimate song of the evening was, in our opinion, the stand-out tune. Called "Gyllyngvase", this song was one of Tim's own compositions, and was named after the popular beach in Falmouth. It had us tapping our toes and smiling.
Tumblr media
The final song, "Childish Things", this time with Anouska back on vocals, was also most enjoyable and had us wanting more. However, with three more bands to come on, time was of the essence. Honeyglaze are a new band (formed just a few months ago), and we are sure we will be hearing more about them in months to come.
Tumblr media
We hinted at the beginning of this review that one of the support bands was really, really special. We will keep you in suspense no longer. Opus Kink (above) were, quite simply, amazing. A six-piece tour-de-force from Brighton, fronted by Angus Rogers, a tall cheeky-looking young Derren Brown lookalike, plus a trumpeter, sax player and the usual keyboards, guitars and drums.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Opus Kink were such fun to watch on stage. Angus was up and down like the proverbial yo-yo, in an absolute frenzy of energy, which rubbed off on the crowd, who by then had completely filled the small but perfectly formed dance area in front of the stage. It was amazing that he did not once knock over any of the other band-members or their equipment as he swung around with abandon.
Tumblr media
What was also really fun about Opus Kink was the diversity in the styles they played. Occasionally Angus appeared to be channelling the late, great Jake Black from Alabama 3, almost preaching his lyrics to us like the Very Reverend D.Wayne Love himself, at times putting on a slight American twang.
Tumblr media
But yet this was a very British-sounding band, occasionally even reminding us of The Specials in their heyday. Sometimes they even sounded a little bit like Talking Heads. But then Angus, ever the joker, introduced his next sound in what sounded like very convincing Swedish (but which, we are told, was just gobbledy-gook). This was for us our favourite song of the whole evening, a very interesting number called "Better Be Good". It had a bit of everything, occasionally quite tribal, some of the preaching-style singing we touched upon earlier, but then it got quite funky, the brass instruments were manumitted, and the whole rhythm completely changed. And changed constantly throughout the song, it has to be said. Fantastic.
Tumblr media
The band eventually played "Mosquito", a song they have recently released on a double-A side and which was produced by none other than Liam Watson and Tim Bulleyment. We did our best at trying to get near the front to record this on video. While not as crazily diverse as "Better Be Good", it demonstrates well the fun that was had on stage and, towards the end, Angus even gave out some Frank Black-style screaming. Here is our video footage: https://youtu.be/CPxcvnwt93M Following a couple of less memorable tracks, the band finished on an absolute high. "Doin' it Myself" was probably the most rock'n'roll and most dancey song of their set, and showed off just how tight they are as musicians. The audience erupted in applause afterwards.
Tumblr media
Once Opus Kink had finished, a good third of the audience seemed to either leave or migrate to the smoking garden downstairs, which led us to believe the band had brought a lot of the Brighton cognoscenti with them. Next up was a very British band called The Caress (below), a five-piece outfit from London with a few singles to their name already.
Tumblr media
This was pop in its purest sense. With three guitars and one bass, one would be forgiven for expecting a very guitar-heavy sound, but actually it was a very smooth, melodic and at times quite atmospheric set, the highlight being their beautiful song "Why Don't We Take A Walk By The Sea".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We were already aware of this particular song, having seen the excellent video on YouTube a while ago. The slow twangy guitar reminded us of the UK Surf version of Pixies' "Wave of Mutilation" – our second Pixies reference of the night! We will share with you The Caress's official video of the song here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c-sRoXrx2Xc
Tumblr media
Another song that we enjoyed was called "Bruiser", on which both of the main singers performed with gusto. This is another one they released on single and, although very short (about two and a half minutes) the bass was very Simon Gallup-esque in places.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Following a short break, the headline act were finally raring to go. Madonnatron have been around longer than the previous bands, having been rocking London since 2014 (indeed, they once graced the old Shoreditch Paper Dress stage many moons ago).
Tumblr media
These three girls (and one guy) really can rock! While no one can say they are great musicians (and they would no doubt be the first to admit this), they can rock a venue like any other more accomplished band. They kicked straight off with "Be My Bitch", and it is palpably obvious why Liam Day at Trashmouth took them so earnestly under his wing. This is chaotic stuff that sounds great on stage; punk rock at its bitchiest. Respect!
Tumblr media
Kudos also has to go out to the heavily-bearded chap in charge of the lighting last night. None of these Madonnatron photos here in this review have been edited or Photoshopped. No filters have been added; this is just straight-up what we saw. The lighting was, as you will appreciate, just perfect.
Tumblr media
We would not normally include so many photos from the one act in our review, but we couldn't help it this time. Guitar/Keyboard-player Joanie looked like a supermodel last night, as we are sure you will agree.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Following a rendition of "Sucker Punch", the lead single from their Musica Alla Putanesca album, which has the unforgettable lyrics 'Flash your head with a Mary Antoinette / You eat a lot of cake for a little boy', the band rocked out with "Flesh Pond", a track with a guitar intro not disimilar to a certain James Bond theme (you know the one), albeit much dirtier.
Tumblr media
Their stand-out track for us came next: "Liminal". This was actually the most psychedelic song that they played, and probably their most accomplished, musically-speaking. This time the bass player took to the microphones (we believe everyone except the drummer took over the vocals at some point during the set), while the rest of the band concentrated on making a very enjoyable swirling sound which ticked all the right boxes.
Tumblr media
A tribute to the lovable character of Super Hans played by Matt King in the Peep Show sitcom, "Super Hands" was quite a sexy, sultry song. With lyrics like 'would you put your hands all over me', this was a departure from the Riot grrrl abandonment that had gone before. The lights tickled crazily all over the band, like the very hands they were singing about.
Tumblr media
After a couple more tunes, the girls finished with "Headless Children", which was the opening track from their 2017 eponymous album, Madonnatron. We managed to capture the moment on video, which we would like to share with you here: https://youtu.be/1gQcNivdnqQ And then it was all over. Breathless from what we'd seen and heard, bedazzled by the awesome lighting and fantastic sound for which Paper Dress Vintage is getting a well-deserved reputation, and for which founder Steve Dix can feel justly proud, we made our way home, realising the mammoth task ahead of us: to somehow describe four completely different bands in a review that needs to be live by the following morning. We hope we have achieved our ambitions and that you enjoyed re-living the night with us. Read the full article

Yuri on Ice AO3 Fic Recs!
Hi. I am one of those terrible people that consume a lot more fic than I comment on, because I’m a shy and lazy child. So: fic recs. To promote lesser-known authors, I’ll list from least to most bookmarked (I’ve left out some really popular ones, you can likely find those on your own). Feel free to give me recs in return!
If you’re an author on this list (and somehow see this despite my small following) and are like “mothereffer who’re you we’ve never talked” I plan on commenting on all of these this weekend, because #ficrecdays.
Symphony in a minor by Anicaruscomplex: This adorable 2 part drabble was published around Christmas and it’s been with me ever since. It’s a slice of life, but also Yuuri dealing with the temporary nature of their relationship.
what he notices most is the quiet by fishingclocks: Long distance fic. Did you know that a scene about Viktor making blini in the morning could send your heart into conniption fits? Well, now I do.
Nightfall in Osaka by ryukoishida: A perfect and soft date night for Viktor and Yuuri at the start of them being competitors. Also, the author researched actual beautiful locations for them to go to.
Step three: I’m calling you baby by polly_perks: Viktor deals with the fact that Yuuri isn’t the same man he met at the banquet. It’s sweet and crafted so well.
Scents of home by espritneo: This is the best fic I’ve ever read about Makkachin. Have you ever heard of espritneo? NO? Allow me to introduce you to this gift of a human being. Everything espritneo puts out has wonderful characterization of both Viktor and Yuuri and everyone else in their lives. Also, espritneo is versatile: canon continuations, folklore AUs, sex, time travel, and this whole puppy fic. You have no excuse not to check them out.
Seagulls on the shore (that which we grasp) by Gintsuki: Everyone has daemons and this story makes me wish daemons were canon, because it works SO WELL. This story flows like poetry.
Heart Lines by thelonelywriter: Yuuri reads Viktor’s palm, Viktor is ridiculous, and it’s adorable. Thelonelywriter, despite being lonely, has written some very quality fluff, so check them out.
Infinitesimal being by sarahyyy: An Otabek/Yuri fairytale story where Otabek is an immortal goblin, and it’s… written from OTABEK’S POV sometimes. I feel like this is so rare but it’s done so perfectly, and the lore behind it is bittersweet.
Every inch of you is perfect by lazulisong: *fans self* Every inch of lazulisong is perfect and I’ll say it as many times as I need to. Just go read everything. You’ll thank me later.
Again and Again by grayclouds: A reincarnation AU that is heart-wrenchingly beautiful and unconventional. It’s a whirlwind of different forms of Victuuri and some have me turning over in my bed at night—in one of them they don’t even exist at the same time and it still makes my stomach flip.
The road that stretches out ahead by hellodeer: Yuuri and Viktor go on a road trip. THIS FIC. I’ve read it so many times, and it’s just raw and so convincing in its story of how Yuuri finally realizes that Viktor actually loves him and intends to stay with him. It doesn’t get all the attention it deserves.
Undertow by Mhalachai: *heavy breathing* this fic is beautiful and creative and almost made me cry for Viktor Nikiforov. It’s one of the few fics that demonstrates Viktor’s insecurities and doubts and does it by successfully using supernatural Russian folklore. I am so impressed by this piece and it’s still messing with my head—it also has a companion piece that’s Yuuri-centric.
Understand Someday by triste: A wonderful piece of Victuuri family fluff, starring Yurio. You will want to hug the little tiger by the end of it. Triste has other excellent works, too!
Rumour has it by lunaetude: Viktor and Yuuri are at Hogwarts together, and are ADORABLE and very in-character, and it alludes to Viktor’s loneliness softly but emotionally. Lunaetude has multiple AUs for YOI that are gorgeous, so go read everything by that author, even if you don’t think it’s your cup of tea, because you WILL like it.
Of Dahlias and Deadlines by ingthing: have you ever read a fic and been like, this is so cute? Why isn’t this a show all by itself? Well, ingthing has a florist/wedding planner AU series that makes me say this every time they post, and everyone should read it. Viktor was born to be a wedding planner.
Easy on my knees by ineptshieldmaid: A Viktor-centric relationship study that has such a careful and touching path to them getting together, and Viktor trusting and loving Yuuri. Ineptshieldmaid has written other equally squeal-inducing fanfic, too!
High-Flying, Adored by terra_incognita: I’m a sucker for superhero AUs and this is amazing. Everybody has secret identities and it’s a love square between Viktor and Yuuri and their superhero personas—it’s quirky and emotional and addictive. Also, Yuri Plisetsky is amazing in it. You will have to suspend your disbelief a bit though, because Yuuri somehow doesn’t realize that two silver haired Russians arriving in town at the same time ARE THE SAME PERSON.
The measure of the year (the mind of men) by geckoplasm: A fic where Yuuri and Viktor are a real couple with actual communication issues, just like in the show! They screw up and make up and you always get both sides of the story in a way that is personal and eye-opening as to how two people that love one another can still have misunderstandings and cause major damage.
Adoration (noun) by crossroadswrite: pre episode 10, but an incredibly convincing and thoughtful explanation of how Viktor fell in love with Katsuki Yuuri—an AU where Viktor had originally intended to leave Hasetsu after a year.
Chasing Tail by Metallic_Sweet: This is the only fic on my list that I think is probably dead but please read it just for an A/B/O experience that you’ve likely never had before. Viktor has his scent glands removed and he is calculating in a way almost nobody depicts him as, but which I think is true to canon.
From june to September by bigspoonnoya: “This is the summer they fell in love.” This fic is essentially canon to me, it’s so well written.
Body music by fan_nerd: Um, everybody probably already knows fan_nerd because they’re a magical presence in the YOI fandom, but their reverse AU is the best. Viktor looks up to five-time champion Katsuki Yuuri and some things stay the same (being drunk at the banquet) and some things hilariously change (Yuuri actually emails Viktor before he just shows up at his house).
Dear Mama by Ferrero13: Viktor writes letters and emails to his beloved mother throughout the YOI series, and it’s HILARIOUS. Also sweet. Viktor’s writing and drama is spot on, and this whole fic is just well done.
Specks of silver in the evening sky by winchilsea: “Viktor’s kink is taking care of Yuuri” in a way that’s both eros and agape. This fic is breathtaking. *sobs into hands* I love winchilsea. Sometimes I read things by winchilsea that I don’t even know about (I read a Pacific Rim AU of YOI and I’ve never glanced at Pacific Rim) and it doesn’t matter because they are such high quality.
I’ve been up nights making you my god by kevystel: Oh, kevystel. I’m reccing this fic because it’s one of the first I found, but anything by kevystel is golden. It’s a brilliant and gorgeous relationship study.
On top of the world by springsoldier(ladydaredevil): Another superhero AU, where superman Viktor takes on Yuuri as his superhero protégé and Yuri Plisetsky fails terribly in his attempt to be a villain (he rescues kittens, y’all). It’s so, so precious and I love its Viktor.
I have my body (and you have yours) by astoryaboutwar: *UNINTELLIGIBLE SCREAMING* if you haven’t read any of her works, you need to go read astoryaboutwar RIGHT NOW. This is a heart-stopping soulmate AU where Yuuri keeps his soulmate a secret and then everything is emotional and stunningly written. *points helplessly at ‘our doubts are traitors’* Look, she’s writing this too and nobody is worthy of it. Nobody.
Nerve Endings by Phyona: Yuuri moves to St. Petersburg, and they deal with Yuuri’s anxiety. Yuuri has A LOT of anxiety, and it’s depicted at length here in ways that feel real and devastating. Later, Viktor has anxiety too, and overall I was just sitting there clenching my head in my hands, having a lot of feelings.
Healthy Impropriety by mtothedestiel: Viktor and Yuuri in Victorian times!! Viktor is EXTRA extra, in the most perfect way, and Yuuri is just a normal Victorian guy trying to live his life. The author clearly worked really hard to keep it true to novels written during that time (Pride and Prejudice, etc).
Closer, Still by sciencefictioness: *spits out beer* did you know that A/B/O could be incredibly poetic and full of gorgous yearning and make you feel like you’ve been missing out on someone for your entire life?! Go read this.
The naming of cats by csoru: Another Yuri/Otabek rec. It’s realistic and Yuri is so in character it hurts. It actually spends time depicting their ice skating careers, and doesn’t just focus on their relationship, in true YOI style. Also it’s wonderfully written, so go check it out.
Stargazer by Fahye: No ice skating, just amazing space AU sports. Yuuri is a commoner that gets taken under the wing of space royalty to learn how to ballist.
From Almaty, With Love by BoxWineConfessions: another one that I probably don’t have to rec because if you like Yuri/Otabek, you’ve already discovered it. Yuri goes to visit Otabek for a summer and they fall in love. It captures both of them very well, and its scenes are written out so stunningly that even them lounging around in Otabek’s apartment is like a painted picture in your mind. I’m not even a huge Yuri/Otabek fan and this fic is just… sigh.
Always My Soulmate by Watermelonsmellinfellon: obviously, I’m a sucker for soulmate AUs and compilations and this is a good one. Watermelonsmellinfellon contributes a massive amount to the YOI community, and has done everything: soulmates, an AU where Yuuri is deaf, and time travel, and they actually research everything. So, so impressed.
A glide in your step by Yuu_chi: this was one of the first fics I read that threw me into the pit of YOI. It’s so, so sweet and masterfully crafted and something I always go back to; it’s a beautiful depiction of how Yuuri and Viktor got together in Hasetsu. It’s pining Viktor written before pining Viktor was even canon.
Maelstrom by feelslikefire: Viktor relives the a day of the Sochi Grand Prix over and over. A fic in which Viktor is actually initially a terrible person that gets to do character development, AND the worst day of Yuuri’s life is handled masterfully again and again.
Victor Effing Nikiforov by shysweetthing: so I would like to recommend both the story and the author, who despite being a writing god constantly descends from heaven to grace everyone with reviews and tumblr musings (her tumblr is the same as her author name on AO3). Yuuri doesn’t fail the Japanese nationals after GPF1, makes it to Worlds, and Viktor Nikiforov steamrollers him with love that Yuuri is incredibly confused by. Go read everything by this author and pray that she updates Viktor!!! With Swords at some point.
Until My Feet Bleed and My Heart Aches by Reiya: They’re rivals! Do I even have to rec this? It’s so frickin popular and THERE’S A REASON. I daydream about this fic and the worldbuilding for the AU is sublime. The author plans everything out so beautifully. In case you’ve somehow missed it, Yuuri meets up with Viktor as a kid, Viktor is Viktor and is blunt, and Yuuri’s heart breaks, resulting in him ferociously working to beat Viktor in competition. Then, there’s incredibly respectful one-sided hate sex.
Like your French girls by ebenroot: Viktor is an artist, and Yuuri his figure skating muse. Everybody knows this fic. It’s perfection.

15 Anime Like Dr. Stone [Recommendations]
Tumblr media
I am ten billion percent sure you have been compelled by the power of science and you’re looking for more anime like Dr. Stone. Well, you have come to the right place!
Tumblr media
And for readers who have not watched Dr. Stone yet. Dr. Stone was one of the most popular anime of the Summer 2019 anime season, and for good reason. It was a fascinating show with a unique premise, interesting main cast, educational, insightful and fascinating to watch. Summary One fateful day, all of humanity was petrified by a blinding flash of light. After several millennia, high schooler Taiju awakens and finds himself lost in a world of statues. However, he's not alone! His science-loving friend Senku's been up and running for a few months and he's got a grand plan in mind—to kickstart civilization with the power of science! By resetting the world, animes like Dr. Stone really allow us to explore human nature and the future of society. Can we be better? Is it possible to restore technological advances to what it is now? It's definitely a fun topic to watch.
Tumblr media
let's get started!
Anime Similar to Dr. Stone
15. Planetes
Tumblr media
Studios: SunriseEpisodes: 26Aired: Fall 2003  If what you loved most about Dr. Stone was its commitment to scientific accuracy, you should give Planetes a try, it can be slow-paced but for your patience, it rewards you with amazing character development that sets Planetes apart from other anime. Summary Haunted by a space flight accident that claimed the life of his beloved wife, Yuri finds himself six years later as part of a team of debris cleaners on a vessel called the Toy Box charged with clearing space junk from space flight paths. The team consists of Hachimaki, a hotshot debris-man with a sailor’s affinity for the orbital ocean; Fee, a chain-smoking tomboy beauty with an abrasive edge; and Pops, a veteran orbital mechanic whose avuncular presence soothes the stress of the job. https://youtu.be/IzfiI1jIGi8 Planetes features distinct realism in its storytelling, relatable characters, a genuine sense of humour and motivational dreams. 14. Are You Lost? (Sounan Desu ka?)
Tumblr media
Studios: EzόlaEpisodes: 12Aired: Summer 2019 Dr. Stone and Are You Lost? both have characters that must survive the peril they are kept in and characters that know a lot and come up with ideas to help survive. Summary Four girls are stranded on a deserted island after surviving a plane crash. How can they survive? Because of a plane crash … starting today, we're spending the springtime of our lives on a desert island!! There's nothing here, so we have to make everything!! And eat everything!! (Ugh!) Check out our high-school-girl survival story of courage and knowledge. We're actually doing pretty well! https://youtu.be/wwP8TQE2P0c Are You Lost? doesn't take itself too seriously, it is a little more light-hearted, funny, fan service fueled and filled with cute girl anime. while with some of the same themes as Dr. Stone, Are You Lost? maybe a good choice.  13. Space Brothers
Tumblr media
Studios: A-1 PicturesEpisodes: 99Aired: Spring 2012 Space Brothers and Dr. Stone are both animes about science and engineering. Both characters also dream of going to space and both plots are rooted in real science. Summary One night in 2006, when they were young, the two brothers Mutta (born 1993) and Hibito (born 1996) saw what appeared to be a UFO heading for the moon. They decided that night to both become astronauts and travel out into space. In 2025, Hibito has become an astronaut, and he’s going to go to the moon. Mutta ended up following a more traditional career path with an auto development company. However, Mutta just ruined his career through a violent altercation with his boss. Now, not only has he lost his job, he appears to be blacklisted in the entire industry. Maybe this is a rare opportunity for Mutta to once again chase his childhood dream and become an astronaut like his little brother! https://youtu.be/ciS3fDqT1Vw Space Brothers is a well-constructed anime that mixes a heartwarming story with delightful comedy and relatable characters to show the audience just how difficult it is to become an astronaut. 12. Moyashimon
Tumblr media
Studios: Telecom Animation Film, ShirogumiEpisodes: 11Aired: Fall 2007 Moyashimon like Dr. Stone is very educational and entertaining. It may not be survival based like Dr. Stone but most of the skills learnt in it, will be needed by Senku and Taiju if they are going to survive and kick start civilisation. Summary Meet Sawaki Tadayasu, second son of yeast preparation suppliers, who is forced to go to an agricultural university and continue the family business. He has the unique ability to see and communicate with microbes, and so he and his friend, Kei, are taken as students to the fermentation-process obsessed Itsuki-sensei. This anime follows Sawaki as he tries to make his way through university as discreetly as possible…which is pretty impossible if you’re as talented as he is. https://youtu.be/CzKecuRFICw Every now and again an anime comes along that is quirky, odd, and oftentimes underrated, Moyashimon is just such an anime. 11. Steins;Gate
Tumblr media
Studios: White FoxEpisodes: 24Aired: Spring 2011 Steins;Gate like Dr.Stone is a science fiction anime that anyone who loves this genre should be sure to give it a try. Summary The story of Steins;Gate takes place in Akihabara and is about a group of friends who have managed to customize their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN who has been doing their own research on time travel tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them. https://youtu.be/27OZc-ku6is Steins;Gate was one of those animes that made me laugh, cry and really connect with our characters. It also made me think, and it rewarded my thoughts by having closure and clarity. 10. 7 Seeds
Tumblr media
Studios: GonzoEpisodes: 12Aired: Spring 2019 After watching Dr. Stone you are probably now into series that depict people trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic future. Well, 7 Seeds is a much more realistic take on this narrative, with ordinary people trying to come to terms with the idea of everyone they knew and loved being dead while trying to survive in the wilderness. Summary Scientists had predicted this disaster, and in response, the leaders of every country met to develop a plan for human survival before the meteor hit. The Seven Seeds project was developed out of this meeting. Each country froze a number of young healthy people, which allowed them to survive the meteor. After the computer determined that Earth was once again safe for human life, it released them into the world. The Japanese government created five groups of survivors: Winter group, Spring group, Summer group A, Summer group B, and Fall group. Each group consisted of seven members and one guide. The guide carried small tubes of poison on their necks to allow them to end their lives if their situation became unbearable. The Japanese government prepared seven "Fuji" as refuges for the groups. In each Fuji, the group would find seeds and numerous books instructing them on survival in the wilderness. https://youtu.be/7iCWs2HigSw Much like Dr. Stone, 7 Seeds is all about learning to prevail in the wilderness without the benefits of modern technology. And it's definitely can be seen has a more realistic, less comedic take of Dr. Stone's end-of-humanity plot. 9. The Promised Neverland (Yakusoku no Neverland)
Tumblr media
Studios: CloverWorksEpisodes: 12Aired: Winter 2019 The Promised Neverland like Dr. Stone is a survival anime though not completely the same, but with its psychological thriller element it keeps us at the edge of our seats. Summary Emma, Norman and Ray are the brightest kids at the Grace Field House orphanage. And under the care of the woman they refer to as “Mom,” all the kids have enjoyed a comfortable life. Good food, clean clothes and the perfect environment to learn—what more could an orphan ask for? One day, though, Emma and Norman uncover the dark truth of the outside world they are forbidden from seeing. https://youtu.be/JIcjo7XVlOY The Promised Neverland starts off cute and harmless but it turns out there is more than meets the eye in this anime, with its cliffhangers, extremely suspenseful, tense and heart-rending moments. It's definitely a must-watch. 8. No Game, No Life
Tumblr media
Studios: MadhouseEpisodes: 12Aired: Spring 2014 No Game, No Life is a beautifully colourful world, filled with wonder and brilliance. And like Dr. Stone, there is a lot of tactical thinking used by the characters which are very exciting to watch. Summary The internet is full of rumours about the Neet and Hikikomori genius gamer siblings Sora and Shiro. The two go as far as to refer to the world as a “shit game“, but then one day a young man calling himself “God“ summons them to a parallel universe. There, God has forbidden war, and “everything is to be settled with games“. Yes, even the national borders. Driven into a corner by other species, the ’human species’ is down to its last city. Can Sora and Shiro, these related failures of society, become the saviours of humankind in this parallel world? https://youtu.be/fV7nGIUuyzA No Game No Life is a brilliantly exciting masterpiece that challenges and excites viewers all at once. And just like Dr. Stone, you will find yourself needing to binge-watch the whole series if you decide to give it a try. 7. Cells at Work! (Hataraku Saibou)
Tumblr media
Studios: David ProductionEpisodes: 13Aired: Summer 2018 After watching Dr. Stone, if you’re curious about science and biology, Cells at Work! Is definitely the show for you, it will satisfy and entertain you to no end, with its educational substance, comedic take and like Dr. Stone, it is an exciting take on the 'science is fun' trope. Summary Within the human body there is said to be approximately 60 million cells. White blood cells, red blood cells, platelets, macrophages, memory cells, killer T cells, natural killer cells, B cells, mast cells and many more! All these different cells work tirelessly within the body, never resting for a moment, at any time willing to resist invading foreign entities like germs and viruses to the bitter end! From Akane Shimizu, winner of Shounen Sirius’ Rookie Award, comes an informative tale about anthropomorthized cells! https://youtu.be/HMXWvvjAJek Cells at Work! is definitely different from a lot of anime shows, I mean how many shows are set inside the human body, humanizing all the cells and microscopic organisms within. It's definitely a must-watch if you liked Dr. Stone. 6. Astra Lost in Space (Kanata no Astra)
Tumblr media
Studios: LercheEpisodes: 12Aired: Summer 2019 Kanata no Astra is definitely an underrated anime, looks can be deceiving and that's how this anime feels at first glance but it's a real gem and like Dr. Stone is a whole new breath of fresh air. Summary The year is 2061 when space travel is now possible and commercially viable, and the students of Caird High School embark on their Planet Camp. But soon after Group B5 arrived at their planetary campsite, a mysterious and unforeseen sentient light sphere warps its 9 members into outer space, stranding them 5012 light-years away from their home planet. With the discovery of an old, unmanned spaceship nearby, the students must stay strong, manage their limited resources and remain united in the darkness of space, so that all of them can survive their long and likely perilous trek back home aboard the Astra. https://youtu.be/wD9o_8UjOvg Kanata no Astra is a really decent anime, with a lot of mystery, logic and survival. Each element is done in a reasonable and accurate way like Dr. Stone, even the humour and drama aspects are well balanced and perfectly timed. 5. From the New World (Shinsekai Yori)
Tumblr media
Studios: A-1 Pictures Episodes: 25Aired: Fall 2012 From the New World is like Dr. Stone just a lot darker and with a more serious tone, looking at how humanity has survived its destruction and rebuilt society. Asking the big questions what is yourself? society? and the importance of humanity? Summary The story is set in Japan a millennium from now. Five children — the protagonist Saki, Satoru, Maria, Mamoru, and Shun — have been born and raised in a tranquil town that can be described as a utopia, overflowing with water and green foliage. The world is ruled by people who have the “cursed power“ or the “gods’ power“ of telekinesis. After a certain incident, Saki and the others come to realize the true nature of their world. Before long, they learn everything, including the bloody history that brought humanity to this state. The five throw themselves into life-threatening adventure, fighting to protect friends and a world on the brink of collapse. https://youtu.be/hJn3FNPoY5A From the New World is a slow-paced anime but if you are patient with it, it's an amazing and thought-provoking anime that you will be glad you watched. 4. Silver Spoon (Gin no Saji)
Tumblr media
Studios: A-1 PicturesEpisodes: 11Aired: Summer 2012 When I started watching Silver Spoon, like Dr. Stone I had my reservations thinking it would just be another fun little slice of life anime but it was much more. Summary Yugo Hachiken aspires to live separated from his family, so he takes the initiative by enrolling in an agriculture school. He thinks, with his talent in studying, no problems will arise no matter what kind of school he attends. He is quickly proven wrong. Raised as a city boy, he is forced to uncover the inconvenient truth about agricultural life. Enjoy the story of Hachiken, as he tries to keep up with his new friends, farmers’ heirs, who are already accustomed to the harsh world of farming. The story of a sweat, tear, and mud-stained youth begins! https://youtu.be/b-yCzcYqH5E Silver Spoon like Dr. Stone is the perfect example of an anime that encourages us to believe in our abilities to set our own path and with hard work and teamwork, we can overcome hardship. 3. Death Note
Tumblr media
Studios: MadhouseEpisodes: 37Aired: Fall 2006 When Tsukasa Shishiou reveals his intention to revive only the young, destroy the petrified adults and leave society in the Stone Age, Dr. Stone started to remind me a lot of Death Note. With the strong rivalry between our protagonist and rival, the way they used their intellect to get things done, outsmarting the rest of the cast or just the lengths they went to achieve their dreams. Summary An overachieving 12th grader, Yagami Light is an aspiring young man who seems destined for success. Unfortunately, his daily habits bore his incredible intelligence. So when a strange black notebook falls from the heavens during his class, it isn’t long before he takes it for himself. In his room, he finds, to his horror/fascination, that the Death Note is real, and owned by Ryuk, a Shinigami (Death God). Any person’s name written in the Death Note will die in 40 seconds.... without fail. With this supposed gift of God, Light swears upon his grave that he will ’cleanse’ the world of the evil and needless people that inhabit it, thus creating a utopia for all. With the world’s greatest detective, L, hot on his tail, will Light’s ideals prove too fantastic to realize, or will he succeed bringing justice? https://youtu.be/Vt_3c8BgxV4 Death Note is definitely one of the best anime series of all time. 2. Ascendance of a Bookworm
Tumblr media
Studios: Ajia-DoEpisodes: 14Aired: Fall 2019 Ascendance of a Bookworm starts off like Dr. Stone the main character is removed from her world and brought back to a world that is primitive to her own. Using science and history knowledge from her time period to adapt and influence the new world and its native inhabitants. Summary Reino, a book-loving college student who just got her Librarian certification and was just hired to be the librarian of a large university library. Just before graduating and entering the job of her dreams, she was killed by a massive earthquake crushing her underneath a pile of her own books. Wishing for reincarnation in order to read evermore, where she got reincarnated to was a world with a low literacy rate and very few books, limited only to the nobility of the world. As she reincarnated as the daughter of a lowly soldier, no matter how much she wants to read there is no way there are any books around. If there are no books then what do you do? Why you make them yourself of course. What her goal is, to become the librarian of a library! In order to live a life surrounded by books, she starts with making books. https://youtu.be/KfPyxG-ZbFM Ascendance of a Bookworm is Dr. Stone for viewers who want a slow-paced plot, that explores more of the ordinary life of a bookworm. It's a beautiful isekai anime I recommend you give a try. Honourable Mentions Tokyo Magnitude 8.0
Tumblr media
Studios: Bones, Kinema CitrusEpisodes: 11Aired: Summer 2009 Uninhabited Planet Survive! (Mujin Wakusei Survive)
Tumblr media
Studios: Madhouse, Telecom Animation FilmEpisodes: 52Aired: Fall 2003 Kemurikusa
Tumblr media
Studios: YaoyorozuEpisodes: 12Aired: Winter 2019 Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Tumblr media
Studios: Studio Hibari, TopcraftEpisodes: 1Aired: Winter 1984 The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
Tumblr media
Studios: J.C.Staff, Egg FirmEpisodes: 120Aired: Summer 2016 Jyu-Oh-Sei: Planet of the Beast King
Tumblr media
Studios: BonesEpisodes: 11Aired: Spring 2006 1. Girl’s Last Tour
Tumblr media
Studios: White FoxEpisodes: 12Aired: Fall 2017 Girl’s Last Tour is quite similar to Dr. Stone in both plots happen in an apocalyptic world, where our characters survive the day-to-day hostilities of their environments. Summary Civilization is dead, but Chito and Yuuri are still alive. So they hop aboard their beloved Kettenkrad motorbike and aimlessly wander the ruins of the world they once knew. Day after hopeless day, they look for their next meal and fuel for their ride. But as long as the two are together, even an existence as bleak as theirs has a ray or two of sunshine in it, whether they're sucking down their fill of soup or hunting for machine parts to tinker with. For two girls in a world full of nothing, the experiences and feelings the two shares give them something to live for… https://youtu.be/SuVVs4giZrI Girls’ Last Tour is lighthearted and emotionally; it excels through simplicity and thoughtfulness. Making it one Of best shows of its year.

Rocker “Manipulation”. Clark Hagins calls the Video for “Manipulation” his favourite; “We look like we’re havin’ fun there,..we look silly but one can tell that when we played live – We Rocked,..and we rocked hard,…we were a weird unusual band,..to say the least.” Greenhouse Effect exploded in notoriety in 2007 with some of Google Videos Most watched clips World Wide; “Our drummer died in 1999 in a bizarre Gardening accident (Laughs)” says Clark Haggins. Ofcourse Hagins is only kidding as he is referring to hillarious Danish Drummer Palle Carlson , the Denmark Drummer who resembles Spinal Tap’s first percussionist in old 1965 black and white clips. “Greenhouse Effect was a World sensation for quite a long time,..we attracted alot of attention and 50,000 Twitter Followers,…I never wanted all the internet fun to end,…but I do see things now finally slowing down in 2010” says Clark Hagins. “We only get about two Million looks a day now,…thats pathetic compared to the kind of business we used to do in 2008.” – There are ofcourse no plans for Rock’s most watched band to reassemble any time soon and Hagins sees the 1992 demise of the band as just another bizarre mistake from his life’s journey; “We were around for like 7 years,…Me and Flipper (Phil Keegan Guitarist) had planned to be the biggest Rock Stars in the musical universe – but it never happened,… ,…until I was like 50 years old (Laughs) ” says Haggins. “We watched all those music industry bands like Nirvana and Green Day hit it big while we did things like work in cubes and clean Pools,..its just a damn shame” says Higgins. Hagins says that the tired band eventually grew ‘into futility’ by late 92′ ; “We had all these Great songs and a great live show but we made enemies with all of the biggest wigs in Hollyweird …there was no way I was ever gonna kiss their arsses – I would clean Swimming Pools before I would do that (Laughs).” Hagins calls the Video for “Manipulation” the absolute Last Hurrah for G.E. ; “The End of the video is hella fucking cool – it looks like Ted is trying to fuck me in the ass and then Palle just picks his nose,.. its pure Lame Rock n roll the way you love it,..it’s fuckin’ hella cool ” ================== 148,037 Views – “Ripping Reason” Comes roaring Out of the speakers with sheer Psychedelic Power !! This Track Sounds so Great in this ‘other’ version – A 1992 “Remix” by sound studio engineer Bill Krodel in El Segundo California with Clark Hagins. “Ripping Reason” is a personal favorite of mine” says Higgins. “I was trying to make it a ‘hit’ I remember,…sorta like “Brandy” but it is so much ‘more’ !! It’s not really a hit so-to-speak ,…its just a flat out Good solid song – A Great piece of Songwriting,…and it sounds Great At Jango Radio !! ‘Ripping’ was recorded in the frantic final days of G.e. and it doesn’t rely on gimmicks like punk speed or guitar solos to get by,…it drudges along in pure melody to near abstract rock perfection and brilliance !!! The confused and tortured lyrics make this track a real winner in cyberspace – and a somewhat ‘unusual’ song for the always quirky G.e. !!!!!!!!! =============== Irie Bob. This 1992 Track is a real Winner for Greenhouse Effect Music Online and in particular at Youtube and GoogleVideo.Com “I started SuperNetCelebrities.Com with Homestead Web hosting who I found through Michael Savage’s Website -…to help bands get exposure” says Clark Hagins in 2008. “Its my goal to make sure that Great bands like Los Angeles’s Batlord get seen more,….and man, do I ever get them seen – ALOT”. IRIE BOB IS THE Pixies-Like 60’s Stooges Like track that appears as the second song on the 1995 “Fountain Weird CD” available at itunes and CD Baby. “The Song was originally entitled ‘Yuri-Bawb’ says Clark Higgins; “But when I suddenly saw the Red CD out of the boxes that day – In October of 1994 from Rainbow Records in Los Angeles – ,…I was horrified to see that they called the Song “Irie Bob”,..I just laughed in horror because the CD was all printed and all done !! And it seemed to be promoting all that 420 Marijuana culture cliche crap,….’Something I personally never wanted any part of in my life,….but now after 17 years,..the name has stuck,…and sometimes people email me,..thinking that I am this pot-head,..because I wrote Irie Bob by G.e. !!! (Laughs) – IRIE BOB Has become a cult classic of G.e. lore what with it’s annoying repetition, distorted bassline, fuzzy guitars (Which Haggins feel need to be turned up more in the final mix), and meandering lyrics and singing which yappily tell the story of a guy who “has been too apathetic,…and thus finally ‘approached Gold thats gleaming”….all in a 4/4 beat of some of Hagins’ best dance beat drumming. This 1992 pop emo song would certainly influence the likes of Beck, Weezer, and others; “When ‘Irie’ was all done and recorded, I just loved the whole ‘feel’ of this little tune,..it was so built around it’s beat and chorus,….Recording Engineer Bill Krodel did an incredible great job at Jet City Sound Studios in El Segundo,….I played all the instruments on this thing myself ,..except then, I got Billy to come in and add these keyboards,..which today – turn out to be the ‘key’ as to why this song is so killer !! I would direct Billy on which sound to implement on the synth,….all the keyboards were always my call with G.e. – though there are many in the South Bay today who try to say that Billy did everything for me,…thats NOT true at all,…Bill Krodel let bands do their own thang,…though he did put in alot of input,…I always had the final calls,…the silly 1960’s keyboards here were entirely my doing,….I dreamed up all my songs,…my songs are good ,..not because of alcohol or drugs like many in the South Bay try to say,…they are good songs simply because I am creative,..and I have been since i was four years old when I drew all those ‘paintings’ at 251,…” Irie Bob, Like all G.e. material Would be rejected by the Program directors at KROQ back in it’s day; “Well,..I would painstakenly try to set up appointments with KROQ Radio Fm programming way back then and they would just say that my songs suck,….I would give them all my tapes,…and nothing would happen,…I would follow up and call back but it was pointless,…thats just the way it is in music industry – even way back then in 1992 and 94′,….you simply ‘had’ to have some kind of major label affiliation in order to achieve FM Airplay,…so thus, songs like IRIE BOB and BRANDY,….NEVER saw their potential back in their day,….I couldn’t do it all alone,….nevermind the fact that I had all the shit goin’ on with Bam Magazine and all. Today, IRIE BOB has racked up Great ‘views’ numbers at Google, Mefeedia, and other websites as it is simply one of cyberspace’s catchyest little secrets. – Originally Recorded September – November 1992 and Appears as part of the 1992 “Big Teen Dollar$” album cd. Rock s?????t?µa “fa???µe?? t?? ?e?µ???p???” t?a???d?a. – “Misogynistia” is the Great Song that is heard thousands of times a day in 2007 for G.e. – This August 1992 Song was recorded right around the same day as “Five Years” (Which sounds nothing like Miso) and the epic classic “Addicted”. These Songs would compile the September 1992 “Big Teen Dollar$” CD that Clark Hagins Would issue through Massachusett’s Label “Rock City Records’ as well as on sale locally in Redondo Beach at Goboy Records and Mark Theodore’s Alternative Groove Store in Hermosa Beach. “BIG TEEN DOLLAR$” Would be recorded in Early September 92′ with Sound Recording Engineer Of the South Bay Bill Krodel at Jet City Sound Studio in El Segundo Ca. “BTD” Would be a cultural and Lyrical triumph for Haggins as he belittled and attacked Music industry Standard Barers from Kurt Cobain to Henry Rollins to Sammy Hagar to Def Leppard and Bon Jovi too; “BTD” is definitely one of my favorite songs ,..just for how silly and retardedly angry and ironic it is” says Hagins. “Misogynistia is like the anti-dote to BTD,…IT IS just like such a cheesey confused song from 1973 by the Who or Chicago ,..or maybe 80’s-like Duran,…the Song is so serious where-as BTD is absolutely toungue n cheek and DEFINITELY ‘NOT’ !!”……”Writing Sarcastic funny songs from “Star” to “Ben is dead” to “Hey Negrita” in early 91′ had prepared me for some of my ultimate Songwriter moments,…and these would be among my final recordings as I had run out of money by late 92″ Says Higgins – “Waiting 4 Your Love 2 Fail!” explodes with brutal anger, punk speed, angry passion, technical guitar and drumming and plenty of Angst from the World’s Most watched band; Redondo Beach California’s Powerful Greenhouse Efect !!!!! Guitarist Phil Keegan (Dr. Phil) blazes a revolutionary hard rock guitar path here that no other band after the Mighty G.e. could quite copy or capture (Nevermind keep up with !!) …. Clark Hagins pours every ounce of his tortured angry soul into the chilling lyrics and bassist Rick Carmody hangs on for the ride !! – “So Much Better” or Simply “Better” is an ‘ahead of it’s time’ G.e. Song From November 1992 that would also effectively function as quite possibly the last ever idea that Greenhouse Effect and Clark Hagins would ever record. “The Bam Magazine Scandal devestated our band, ruined my concerts, and shook our group’s confidence to the core,…Our bassist Rick Carmody left and soon joined up with the South Bay Redondo Beach Punk band ‘The One Handed Readers’ says Clark Higgins in January 2010 from his offices in San Diego’s “North County’ where today he is a full-time Swimming Pool cleaner,…a job that Hagins says ‘pays the bills’ in the household with just him and his wife; “My life is nothing today,…People say that back in the 90’s I shoulda been a huge Star,…after G.e. flamed out,…I turned more and more to alcohol and by 95′,…I felt my life was technically “Over” up there in Bel Air ,..where I was a Professional Landscaper,…people and other organized bands would still call me, wondering if G.e. was ever coming back,..or if I was ever gonna start throwing concerts again,…but I couldn’t get my psyche into it,…in 96′..i took my Swimming Pool cleaning job with A To Z Pool and Spa in Torrance Ca,..when I moved back down there to the South Bay, ..thats when I knew music for me was over,…I tried to get some people into my shit or to help me but no one would,..nobody cared,…I financed the Rock Opera “White Suburban Liar$” all by myself in 95′,…’put it on sale at GoBoy in Redondo,…but I was 30 years old and not in an active playing band,..man, ..it was over,…I couldn’t do it without Carmody,..atleast I knew I had to have him there”. – Today, Greenhouse Effect explode on the internet (and at itunes) with their old tracks like 1991’s “Brandy” but Hagins calls the scene of music today “almost pointless”. “You got bands like Green Day and Foo Fighters and all their songs sound the same,..they are completely boring people who have never suffered or been picked on in their lives,…they are robotic and their music reflects this,…Dave Grohl is like some jock on a football team,…that guy is ‘NOT’ Rock n roll at all,..yet today, he passes for like as if he is Great like Pete Townshend and the Who or Zeppelin or something,…its disgusting,..People today are so fucking stupid and addicted to drugs and video games,…they don’t know shit about fucking piss ass nothing !! Music sucks now,..and thats all there is to it,..I think Rap music is pathetic….People hear my music,..and suddenly, they hear a trully fucked up person who is ‘really authentically’ fucked up,…thats why I work with a large World audience,…people will never understand what i went through as a child,….but when you hear Greenhouse Effect music,…you suddenly hear it all crystal clear !! I’m a Great drummer and a great guitarist who ‘got that way’ because I had no friends,…I had nothing else to do,…I didn’t fucking learn shit in a book like Dave Grohl,….that guy is not the last of 8 kids,…fuck that guy,..he doesn’t know shit about shit !!” Hagins says that his number one goal and desire would be to see Barack Obama impeached from Office; “If me and my music can play a small part in getting Democrats un-elected,..and getting people out there to ‘learn’ about rightwing politics,..and to stop voting for these assholes,..then that is Great and more power to ‘THAT’,…DEMOCRATS ARE ELITEST TYPES OF PEOPLE WHO RAISE TAXES AND STEAL YER MONEY,…I’m not saying Republicans are all that much better or different,…but they are definitely the lesser of two evils,…..I think that drugs are one of the most serious evils of our Western culture,…We need tougher laws to stop people from using them,…People get high on weed and then they simply naturally are gonna vote for evils and snobs like Your typical Democrat type person,…’when I hear some fucker in a suit and tie say that he wants to ‘help’ people out there,…well, to me,…that is an immediate code RED FLAG word for he wants to ‘rule’ and be bigger, more important, and better – ‘OVER’ the people,…!! Because he is an insecure piece of shit !! Used car salesman,..and ,..like some Leo mother-fucker,…he naturally knows how to get over on people,….I DON’T WANT ANYONE FUCKING HELPING ME,….I HELP MYSELF THANK YOU !!” Hagins says that people need to get ‘properly educated’ and learn to stop voting for socialist minded individuals at all cost. “I practically virtually feel that we need to “Outlaw” people from saying that they are running for office because ‘they want to help people – FUCK THAT,…THEY TAKE THE POWER AND CREATIVITY ‘AWAY’ from the individual – thats what they are really trying to do – period – THEY ARE TYRANTS IN SUITS !!” ============================ In September 2009, Greenhouse Effect achieved a very important personal goal for Los Angeles Top Musician Clark Hagins. The Goal you ask ?? 10,000 Twitter Followers. “We got our 10,000th Twitter follower at One of our many Twitter accounts, but in reality, We really have over 63,000 Followers because we have like 33 different accounts,…its hard work” says Hagins. The pressure is always on Haggins because he is probobly Los Angeles’s “Most seen” musician along with his other bandmates Bassist Rick Carmody and others as his band is always loaded at the very tops of all search engines with the Net’s Top tracks of indie music from “Brandy” to the classic “22nd Street” and “Coke Snortin’ Love Boyz”. “We get seen alot – way more than any other band,…its attracted the attention of several Cable TV Networks,..among them Halogen and others,…People want us to go do a brand new album but I am now nearly 50 years old and I am a swimming Pool cleaner kinda stuck in ‘that’ life,..I doubt seriously today that I could pull off another song like “Brandy” in the studio although I am very intrigued by this new idea for “The Famous on TV”,…thats this new track I’ve been fuckin’ around with…” Hagins says that the Potential for the Halogen Tv Show could produce a windfall of itunes mp3 music sales for G.e. that the band badly needs; “Well,..My wife and I ,..we watch alot of Halogen Tv here with our new Cable Company Time Warner Cable in San Diego’s North County,..I could really improve their Tv network,..it needs to be more gritty and hip and there is nothing more hip online with people than G.e.” 10,000 Twitter Followers isn’t a small thing in an era where some of Mtv’s biggest Hip Hop artists only have 900 or so; “We are a big band online,…we are like this huge phenomenon where websites and businesses fight to link and exchange with us or just be word associated with us,…you know yer big when even porn wants to be near you” says Hagins. “I’ve been tryin’ to convince Halogen Tv to let me do it all my way and let me be 100% completely in charge of my project,…They will get big ratings if they listen to me” says Higgins. – Guitarist Clark Haggins Blogs about his band’s ability to get ‘heard’ on the Web and the importance of Jango Internet Radio and other Web Radios such as Pandora. “The key to something Like Jango.Radio or Last.Fm, Pandora, and all these is ya gotta have good songs first and foremost,…..if yer Songs suck, then its really not gonna matter what you do. You gotta have a good recording too. If you have a song or a demo that sounds like a piece of shit,…then Jango and alot of these are probobly not gonna wanna play it,…and even if they did,…a potential new “Fan” or Twitter follower is probobly gonna wanna change the channel,..just like a TV….” – For many consecutive years, the Greenhouse Effect Song “Brandy” (and other songs of theirs) have been able to fight their way to the tops of search engines and into constant rotation at Jango and Pandora. “Our Song sells itself,…because it’s a great song,..we got lucky there when we wrote that one,…alot of people say that it doesn’t even sound like a typical Greenhouse Effect Song,…but then again,..what does ??” says Hagins. “I would recommend at Jango, if yer an artist there,…don’t let people just ‘play’ yer song at yer profile,..instead rather,..let them “add” it,…that way , you will get into more playlists and stations,..you will become ‘preferred’ more,…it will add up to ALOT of Airplay” Hagins and the band’s Management Team say that “Brandy” is responsible for “about 75%” of G.e’s success in cyberspace. “We are known primarily for one song,…but we got other good tunes,..its not like we’re a complete one hit wonder on here,…When people see me in the street, they always comment on Brandy but some have said it’s really not our best Song in reality,..but it ‘is’ the one that the web seems to like and that Jango and Pandora seem to ‘use’ to get listeners to their network sites,….I would advise bands to stick firmly with just one indie radio site,…Jango is the biggest and the best,..it is sorta like a version of Myspace or Youtube in it’s own rite,…Pandora forces you to ‘mail them’ a cd and as we all in bands know – ‘that’ is a big hassel,….at Jango,…you just upload songs,..its easy,…its sorta like i-sound or Sound.cloud ,..or one of those,…all of those millions of little ‘indie’ so called web radio sites are sorta a waste of time,….yer better off just sticking at Jango,…if you get into a zillion different little sites – and i mean places like Echoboost,..well,..if you got alot’a money sittin’ around to burn ,…then maybe,…but i think it’s more likely that you’ll just go insane at night,….just get yer band onto Jango Radio,…and stick with one -‘that’ one !!” Haggins says that Last.FM has in recent years become kind of a hassel. “I used to love LAST.FM but they mix bands profiles together and they do some weird shit,..i admit that i rarely go there really anymore,…there and Pandora”… – Hagins says that if You are an indie band that the odds of getting on to a Real Fm dial Radio Station like KROQ FM or KLOS FM In Los Angeles are at best slim to none. “Alot of those so called ‘real’ radio stations are just shills for the Record Labels , lawyers, and Hollywood,..theres alot of shady shit goin’ on where there are back room ‘pay offs and payola’ no better than back in the 60’s,…I’m sorry but thats just the way it is and reality…..it would be great if you can manage to get your band played on them,…but you probobly gotta be on some major label or lndie label that gets big cred and respect,…but i would say that a good band that likes it’s own independent sound and image would have to adapt and change too much,….and that can be a bad thing,…all in the name of airplay,..its not worth it ,…but….theres really Great good news though now !! – These days in 2009 and 2010, the ratings for real FM Dial Radios have really fallen,…infact many of them are struggling to stay afloat and are going off the air too … ,..EVERYDAY,…..THE REALITY IS now, more people listen to Jango Radio than they do listen to a station like say KROQ FM,….ALOT of new bands are really gettin’ discovered and getting their sound ‘out-there”,….I would say that technically, its probobly more important to have a hit song at Jango than at KLOS, POWER 106, or Kroq FM,….because now, nobody is listening to those three anymore,…not nearly as much anyway,…the web has taken over,..as a vehicle,…plus things like Talk Radio on the AM DIAL in people’s cars – Stuff Like Michael Savage and Hannity,….nevermind the fact that alot of today’s pop music sucks,..I mean just watch the Grammys if ya don’t believe me,…it all sounds the same and it’s boring,…things like Rap music have been a God-send to guys like me,…people get sick of Rap and they listen to Songs like Brandy by Greenhouse Effect – So it all works out well” ———- “22nd Street” is the Soaring classic from G.e’s 1991 epic cd “Going Legit” which was an album Simply recorded by Haggins and Bassist Rick Carmody alone in the studio; “They Shoulda just signed me long ago” says Hagins “Now,..I’m one pissed off hombre,……I won’t stop until i take over EVERYTHING,…..I see my Google Stats n shit at Webilizers,…I get big plays,…it gives me alotta fuckin’ confidence,….I know I got good shit” – Rock City Productions Pro Management SuperNetCelebrities.Com ============== “Big TEEN Dollar$” is the Hillariously ironic Song and anthem from August 1992 that Clark Hagins wrote over the long hot 92′ summer while mowing lawns “up in Bel Air” and “talking to himself” for inspiration and “coaching”; “Bel Air was a very beautiful place,…I worked for this wealthy Arab at Owlwood Estates – thats where Tony Curtis and Sony and Cher once lived,….and Jane Mansfield lived next door at the big “Pink House” on Carolwood,…at the time, Englebert Humperdink lived there next door,….and Marylin Monroe once lived in our Dog House,..where we kept the German sheperds,…Molly, Marko, and Midnight,….Some people suggested that her ghost was in there (Laughs),….I remember those beautiful hot Beverly Hills afternoons and drinking my 40 of beer….I don’t drink now though,..i’m 45 years old,…” – Backing Vocals ; Jeff Crisfield, Bill Krodel, Mark Nathanson – Remainder; Clark Hagins. Idea for Song conceived in Redondo Beach at 251. Lyrics @ www.LyricsMode.Com – SuperNetCelebrities.Com ===================== Hagins admits that websites Like Blip Tv allow Over-self indulgent bloggers like himself to fully ‘create’ their own arenas and that unlimited blogging spaces are a Heaven ; “Vimeo and BlipTV are awesome incredible things,….I can really vent my spleen thoroughly,…and ofcourse many people read,..and thats the goal,…to get them reading,..then they go to my other sites, ..or Youtubes,…and then they go to itunes,..and they buy,….the bottom line is they get interested in me and my music,…and they get to read alot,…it gets them more intelligent,…its way MORE educational than a video game,….Video games are something that Democrats cooked up so you will just sit there and be a moron and smoke pot and be a fucking idiot,….and thats how people like Barack Obama and other Democrats get voters,…they create their own pool of morons THAT THEY CAN EASILY CONTROL,…..I would prefer to get the intelligent, more informed votes of hard working American people ,…People like electricians and or Swimming Pool People,…they tend to be way more informed and intelligent because alot of them listen to Dr. Michael Savage in their trucks during the day as they work – Him and Mark Levin talk radio too.” – “Wilson Phillips” comes barrelling out of the Speakers as a heavy Black Sabbath like G.e. Anthem of hard rock. “Ted told me on the phone one day about 1995 that he thought that ‘newer G.e.’ wasn’t as heavy and was too “Happy”,…man,…I guess he was referring to stuff like “Addicted” and “Irie Bob”…, i just fuckin’ laughed at that shit,…I think Ted just started to smoke too much pot and it fried his head !! Clark Hagins blogs that his ‘ideas’ for society and his ability to ‘copy and re-paste entire blogs elsewhere’ is as important as the music itself ; “Shit like Tubemogul can be awesome,….Everybody knows that I don’t do all this writin’ shit so much for the music,..infact, I really don’t even give a rat’s ass about the music so much as I care about getting my politics and society philosophies across to the general public,…..Greenhouse Effect was always about being political,….We were good irish boys who went to church and who had fears,….but then others in the world would come and try to corrupt us,…and try to make us be like everybody else – to conform,….I say ; fuck that,….I keep the same shit that I was at 16 and 23 today still at 44; I am an old fashioned conservative – what-ever that means,….I’m against abortion and Gay marriage and legalizing or promoting lame drugs that I know destroy great minds,…you can write better shit whilst sober !! I listen to Michael Savage,…and if people don’t like it,..then what the fuck,…they can suck my cock” – Tags – tagcloud, asher roth, politics, lil wayne, eminem, asher roth, susan, mel gibson, brandy, wayne gretzky, kroq most played, paramore, muse, radiohead, tom delonge, weezer, pork, hole tour, hip hop, bmo, brandy, lmfao, sky blu fox, cnn, smokey robinson, michael savage radio ———— ============ The exciting Greenhouse Effect are the New “Nirvana” of the internet for these times of the new millineum of 2008, 09, and 2010 !! Great Songs that evoke melody of the 1960’s and bands like the Mersey Beats to the Sounds of the 70’s and Emerson, Lake, and Palmer to Zeppelin !! High Melody is always G.e’s aim !! This little Redondo Beach three piece band has spread their music all around the World like no other band in History !! They use a tight mix of Jango Radio constant Airplay, Pandora Radio attack with the classic “Brandy”, and millions of constantly running Google Videos and Twitters !! Virtually every person you know HAS SEEN A G.E. VIDEO and probobly Downloaded it !! Clark Hagins considers himself every bit as much a “Politician” as a Great musician; “I can see why all these Arab Countries hate the west and the United States in a way sorta… – They don’t want our shit in their countries !! We despicably take our freedoms for Granted and we abuse and take libertys wrongly,…..Hollywood is a buncha fucking Liberal scumbags,….But Thank God, Our Country is on the right track now,….We have won three key races in a row in Late 2009 and here in 2010,….We won in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts and even though this Scott Brown character just seems like another RINO,….I will still choose ‘that’ over the Obama-Liberal Martha WTF her name is !! Thank God Almighty that we won that Massachusetts one – that was critical !! I am certain that the angry things that I write definitely play a role with the TeaParty Protesters,…THEY READ MY SHIT – THEY’VE BEEN READING IT FOR YEARS !!,……NOT ALL MUSICIANS are Liberals,…Some of us listen to Dr. Michael Savage and Mark Leven Talk Radio,….We are informed,….but we already ‘knew’ from the beginning,….I’ve been a conservative from birth ,…probobly because I am a Taurus born April 27,…..people say that I am crazy – and I fucking AM !! BUT I know that music is the key,….it takes beautiful music to get people to the ballot booth and pull the lever !!! As the unofficial “Leader” of the Tea Party movement, Hagins blogs are often caustic, terrifying, angry reading – but effective. “People used to pick on me,..back in the South Bay and I figured it out,…it was ‘Liberals’ that WE’RE PICKING ON ME,…..tryin’ to say how I’m so “close-minded” when all along it’s THEM who is really that… Liberal Pot-heads and People who sit around listening to Rap and playing Video Games who DON’T KNOW SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING – ‘THEY’ ARE THE ONES who are always putting other people down,…and usually because they are insecure Gealous Motherfuckers who got no TALENT – ATLEAST NOT LIKE ME !! ” ========= Tags ; tags, tagcloud, asher roth, politics, lil wayne, eminem, asher roth, susan, mel gibson, brandy, wayne gretzky, kroq most played, paramore, muse, radiohead, tom delonge, weezer, pork, hole tour, hip hop, bmo, brandy, lmfao, sky blu fox, cnn, smokey robinson, michael savage radio Likes: 40 Viewed:
