So. At the beheadst of some random anon, I gave Mega Man X DiVE another try. According to them, Captain Taiwan and/or NebulaJoy toned down the "grindy" aspect of the game, somewhat, during the period of time in which I didn't play.
They were wrong.
The first place where I found myself just under the Recommended Power for a stage was in Air Force 4-6 (Normal). Fighting Vile and Goliath took a while, but it still felt reasonable.
The first place where the Recommended Power for a stage was more than double what I had would be Factory 3-1 (Hard). This is technically the eighth "world" in the game, due to how Hard Mode is mandatory. Anyway, it was still doable, but enemies were starting to get a tad bit tanky… Fighting Rangda Bangda in 3-6H took a solid five minutes, too. How fun.
The point where I finally gave up (again) was Floating Ruins 6-1 (Normal), which comes right after Factory (Hard). Regular enemies were taking seconds to destroy while armored enemies were taking about half a minute. And given that the game is 75% enemy arenas, well… yeah. They were also taking off half of my health with each hit. I did that crap once, I didn't feel like doing it again.
So, yeah. That punk anon didn't know what the hell he was talking about. I mean, yes, I'm sure the Story Mode is technically beatable within two weeks… if you either don't do anything but play the game non-stop, or you spend money on it. I used everything that the game handed to me, and I just simply hit a wall that I didn't feel like banging my head against. Again.
I really hope the Offline version of the game fixed this as much as people claim…
~ J
Edit: It did.

watched the wayv 5th anniversary stream
It's pajama themed!!!!!! :3
Ten called Kun gege and Kun was like this is definitely a thing I am not used to wtf
When Winwin introduced himself in English he was like "I'm uh-Winwin" and Xiaojun and Hendery in Mandarin were like "you're a Winwin???"
Ten: 你可以叫我欽欽哥哥 WayV: *o*
Kun voluntold Sicheng to introduce the stream :3
Ten wanted them all to introduce their pajamas first :P
Yangyang introducing his pants and housecoat pattern combo
Ten had a nature wildlife theme lmao
Sicheng said that Dejun's was a ocean theme and Hendery and Dejun were like "no this is a hospital patient theme" lol. Ten said that his pajamas reminded them of Dream Launch.
Sicheng said that his pajamas were Dalmation vibes and the guys were like ehhhh that's not quite it
Ten: You are my star Sicheng: ...So romantic
Dejun asked Sicheng for help on taking off his eyemask (probably so as not to disturb his hair).
Apparently Hendery's not the kind of guy to wear pajamas. Like I think he doesn't wear much when he goes to sleep based on what the guys are saying.
Kun's housecoat is very dadlike lol.
He's showing off the bear
Ten saying that Kun looks like an esteemed guest at a hotel and Sicheng saying that he looks like rich president (like of a company)
Discussing what they did in 2023
Sicheng: *Sneezes* Sicheng: Bless me (I think that's what he said lol)
They said it would be game time but they're just reading comments first
Ten said he cut his hair for the rookie mentality lol
Kun reading the comments: 劉揚揚好嫩 Yangyang: Hah
Commenting on Yangyang's haircut and Hendery chopping the mullet
This stream has no subs as of right now so I can't understand the Korean parts unfortunately
They noted that the stream was happening around dinner time/bedtime
Aw cute collage journal
Sicheng calculating the number of days in 5 years XD
He said he calculated it with astrology lmao
Hendery was like uhhh do we have to read our own entries? And Sicheng was like yeah we love seeing other people embarrassed (so you have to)
Hendery's entry was about going to the amusement park together and buying animal hats together
Yangyang explained that it was during Kick Back promos and it was on a day when they had free time
Hendery telling us to guess what this picture is of. Apparently it was the merry-go-round.
Kun finally found pictures of them on that day.
Kun pointing to the animal hats
Yangyang said that on that day, they'd agreed to dress more low key. And Hendery said that it was because all of them had dyed hair. But then they all wore animal hats which kind of defeated the purpose.
Hendery was looking to see who wrote the next entry and it was not signed by anyone but he knew it was Dejun's :3 Probably recognized the handwriting.
Dejun's was about visiting Rain Day filming. He'd taken 1.5hrs to get there and bought drinks. But because it was raining the people on set were going to get changed. So Dejun saw them for one minute. And then he went home, another 1.5hr journey XD
Sicheng's entry was about a time he had stubble and he thought he looked good and wanted to take a bubble for fans but the members said that if he did, he'd lose fans and scare people so he didn't X'D All the members denied this or claimed they forgot that such a thing happened lol.
Sicheng's picture of his facial hair that Ten said looked a lot like Sicheng XD
Yangyang explained that it was just stubble, it wasn't full-fledged facial hair. And then Hendery asked the fans to weigh in on whether they want to see Sicheng with facial hair.
Ok so it's a promise, Sicheng will have facial hair like Guan Yu/Guan Yunchang for the next comeback XD Guan Yu aka Guan Yunchang is a historical figure often depicted with a very long beard.
Kun wrote a really long entry
Apparently WayVs went to an escape room and Kun asked the fans to weigh in on who was the most courageous/cowardly in escape rooms
According to Kun, Hendery was the bravest, and Ten was the most cowardly XD
Apparently Ten just go through the escape room with his eyes closed XD
Ten also talked about escape rooms. He said that if he was scared in the escape room, then he would make animal sounds to scare away the scary things lol. But apparently the NPCs would just get confused lol.
Kun demonstrating a scared Ten
Ten would get mad in the escape room when he had to do certain things XD Sicheng's example was that if the NPC said that person #1 had to do something and Ten was person #1, he'd be like "why do I have to do it?!" and argue with the NPC lol
Yangyang talked about Christmas hotpot with the members :3 They also did Secret Santa but they had to buy impractical things. They can't share them with us though ToT
They have to write an entry for memories with the fans. They're all going to do it in different languages and Kun has to write it down.
Yangyang hoping that there'll be lots of opportunities to meet fans and that fans will come and see them.
Kun struggling to keep up with summarizing and writing while the other guys are talking
Ten voluntold to keep the journal lol
Sicheng wearing Dejun's eye mask
Polaroid decorating time
Aw Yangyang did Ten's photo with a kitty theme
Ten did Yangyang's photo
Lol Dejun decorated Hendery's. He also used the kitty sticker.
LMAO Sicheng has experience with polaroid decorating and he just slapped as many stickers as he could onto it lmfao.
Hendery calling out Sicheng for speaking with such little enthusiasm as he explained his work X'D and they made him do a take 2 XD
Hendery used stickers and washi tape for Kun's photo, and explained that the face was Weishennies doing a kissy face to Kun :P
Kun explained that he went with a simple approach to Winwin's photo :P
Game time!
Ten arguing with Kun about moving the game piece X'D
Lol choose the phrase that Ten has not spoken before X'D
Hendery trying to game the tissue blowing game
Ten's trick did NOT work lol
Ok is it just me or are they NOT moving the game pieces properly???? like 1 space should be the next space over lol
Yangyang told Sicheng to be the person that they have to blow the balloon over because he's the tallest and then he lay down like this X'D
Balloon: *Lets out air* WayV: OMG Winwin!!!!!! dId YoU fArT?????
Dejun succeed by flinging the balloon a bit as he let go X'D
Ten was unsuccessful X'D
Question: Which one is not Sicheng's hobby?
Question: Which has Yangyang and mom not said to each other?
Hendery said that Yangyang's mom definitely did not say he was ugly because she always says good things about Yangyang to Hendery
Lol Hendery was wrong lmao
Confusion over whether they should be standing up or not lol
Lol the guys really have no 默契
Interesting how when they're talking about dancing, they revert to Korean. I wonder if it's because their dance trainers speak to them in Korean.
Kun voluntold to light the cake I guess (they were speaking in Korean for much of this)
Wayv: 錕哥今天是什麽日子 Kun: 今天是我五歲的生日啊 *aegyo*
Bro like no one reacted to his joke X'D
Lol thinking about what their debut song was, but settling on a simple Happy Birthday
Wtf is this candle??? lol
Ohh it's a spinning cake. Kyungsoo had a spinning cake for his Expectation livestream, I wonder if this is the new cake trend.
Yangyang always coming in with the emotional messages :3 He was saying how it was their fifth anniversary, but they'd known each other for longer than that, and that he hopes they'll continue to grow old together :3
Kun arguing that he will NOT be fifty years old in twenty years X'D
ASMR sleepy times with mood lighting
Lol Yangyang doing his qipaoyin which I looked up is called vocal fry register XD
Dejun preemptively drying Sicheng's tears
Nuisance strikes again
Sicheng: 晚安, 我愛你 ;_; <3 <3 <3
They were not prepared for this ASMR because the background noise is so loud....
Hendery saying the end of his message in Cantonese T_T
NUISANCE JUN
Not paying attention during Kun's bit ^^;;
Extra not paying attention during Ten's bit OTL
A fan asked if Hendery's teeth still hurt lol. I think this was a reference to when he'd gotten his wisdom teeth out earlier.
Sleepy times :3

Have ya tried Peak of Combat yet? Opinions? :O
Heya! So I have stated a few times in some older news update posts of mine that I'm not a cellphone game player, and never planned on getting the game. I was just gonna watch the story mode cutscenes and boss battles on Youtube. But from what I've been hearing about the game from a majority that played it, it ain't doing so good where they're claiming that it's just as bad, if not, worse than Devil May Cry 2. Then again, it's basically a gacha game. There have also been claims that they've had difficulties launching the game, even on they day of its release. If anything, I've only seen a fraction of players enjoying it due to the costumes, selection of characters to play as, and the character interactions in story mode. And from what a majority of beta players stated, they preferred the gameplay mechanics of the 1.0 version of it, one of its earliest versions when Yunchang games was still developing it, and when its story was gonna be canon with the other games before Nebula Joy took over and changed everything. Speaking of Nebula Joy, they're another reason I don't ever plan on getting this game. I was hoping to get it if there ever was gonna be a Steam release, but now I'm not so sure. With the state of it that it's in, I don't know if there will ever be a Steam release now. So about Nebula Joy...I have no plans to ever support them because there have been claims from fans and mod developers that ever since they took over, things went completely downhill from there where they'd do nothing but spam a bunch of ads out there, let alone ads using A.I voices and showing off cutscenes that don't even feature in the game at all.
And Nebula Joy has a reputation of being a schemey company that would scam not only the players, but influencers and mod developers as well.
In my last news update post, I shared a statement from one of the mod developers about their experience of working with them.
Even shared with them what a friend's friend went through when working with them.
And with these fans stating their concerns about them and the game, I'm just shocked that Capcom didn't bother dropping them. But on a good note, Capcom hasn't even been promoting them and that game onto their pages and channels. That at least says something right there. Now aside from the negative parts about it, I'm just glad that we've got some kind of new Devil May Cry game with features that any Devil May Cry fan would want in one (except for the gacha part of it, of course). And it's nice that Capcom got to be a part of its development, and how Casey Edwards got to make a song for it, but it's just too bad what it's become. I was hoping for it to be better...

The Red Devil’s Chronicles: Jan. 2021 Devil May Cry Updates: Brad V, Collabs, Etc.
Hey, how's it going? Hope you all had a wonderful and safe new year, and hope 2021's been nice to y'all so far. Just a heads up, all of the 2019 journals in my Deviantart group will be deleted any day this year to clean up how many journals there are there, plus feeling that there's no need for older news updates. Here are all of January 2021′s Devil May Cry news updates I’ve compiled: 1. HYDE Defeat music video, featuring Devil May Cry V. b) Speaking of music, Reddit sang Bury The Light. c) Alex Moukala's interview with Casey Edwards about Bury The Light. 2. Hideaki Itsuno teases another game in the works. 3. More updates for the Pinnacle of Combat Mobile game such as: a) Vergil concept. b) Beowulf and Kalina Ann showcase. c) Lady's costume set. 4. Griffon in Devil May Cry V's voice actor Brad Venable passes away. 5. Ali Express is making the Dante and Vergil Asmus Toys figures as their models for dolls' clothing. 6. The CapCom Café event has surfaced again with more amazing winter art. 7. Last Cloudia, featuring Devil May Cry V. 8. All 3 covers for the Visions of V manga series. b) Speaking of which, it's updated again. 9. Journalists have decided to target Dante's voice Reuben Langdon once again by completely taking a Tweet (now deleted) out of context (Full conversation and info on what happened in my Facebook post here).
My Thoughts On These Updates:
1. Lovely stuff we've got goin' on with the music stuff. 2. Wonder what Itsuno's next project will be? My guesses are Dragon's Dogma 2, Devil May Cry 6, a Devil May Cry game remake, or a new unknown game title. Back in March 2020, there was the update about how a former Platinum Games CEO is collaborating with CapCom on a huge remake project (Could be RE4 Remake or a Devil May Cry one). And back in May 2020, CapCom plans to release major new titles by this year, including celebrating an anniversary of a Devil May Cry game (stated at end of article), it is DMC1's 20th anniversary after all. Only one way to find out. 3. It's about time Yunchang games released more development content for Pinnacle of Combat and not any other promotional work, which is what they've done for awhile. These updates are quite nice. 4. May Brad V rest in peace...It's been a bash hearing him voicing as Griffon in DMCV. It's always heart-breaking hearing the passing of young, talented individuals. 5. Foreign marketplace sites can be so hilarious at times with their advertising. Gotta admit that Dante looks pretty nice in that getup, though. 6. I love the new art work that the CapCom Café's been coming out with as of late. It shows more character with the characters. 7. Never heard of Last Cloudia, but it's nice that the Devil May Cry characters are once again featuring in other game titles. 8. I always enjoy new updates of the Visions of V manga series. Still curious how long it's gonna go on for. It's definitely going longer than the DMC3 manga series did. It sucks that the DMC3 manga didn't finish, but at the same time I feel it's for the best. The concept of that particular series was strange (both story and dialogue-wise), and I feel like the artist got pressured a little too much when it came to deadlines and details, which explains how some of the art work looked a tad unfinished in that one. 9. It makes me upset how low journalists will go to make someone look bad by taking something these celebrities say completely out of context, then twisting their words around to get their fans riled up in an attempt to cancel them. And for what purpose? Glad that article got deleted, because what were they thinking? (You can still see the article's title, even when searching on Google, but when you click on the link the page doesn't exist.) If you talk to Reuben yourself and get to know him, he is one awesome guy despite how some of his views can be questionable. This isn't the only time journalists went after Reuben and twisted his words around to make him look bad (scroll to the Reuben Langdon bit in article). It's really sad that some Devil May Cry fans even believed everything those journalists said, and went as far as saying, "Reuben needs to be canceled for this", or "I don't want him playing as Dante anymore because of this". One of the big elite players even stated on Twitter, "CapCom will cancel Reuben before Cancel Culture gets to him". I really hope nothing bad happens with his career at CapCom. He's a nice addition there, and part of CapCom wouldn't be what they are without him on the team.

The Lanq PCDock claims to be the new standard of monitor stand. With a built-in USB hub, fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip, Qi charger, and RGB lights—everything except a kitchen sink, in fact—is it everything you could want from a monitor stand? Probably not.
Crowdfunding Disclaimer
The Lanq PCDock is currently seeking backers on IndieGogo, with about a week left on the campaign. Back it now to save around 40-50% off the eventual RRP. Or don't.
The usual disclaimer applies here: crowdfunding is not a pre-order system, and there's no legal responsibility for the company to deliver anything to backers. Lanq—or Langqun Yunchang (Shenzhen) Electronics Co—appears to be a new company, with no previous products or crowdfunding history.
PCDock As a Monitor Stand
Two sizes of Lanq PCDock monitor stand are available—the Pro and Max—and they only differ by width. The largest Max size (as tested) measures 43.5W x 8.62D x 3.27H inches (1105W x 219H x 83D mm), while the smaller Pro measures 24.8 inches (631mm) wide.
One benefit of a monitor stand is that it frees up desktop space, allowing you to store a keyboard, mouse, and other bits underneath it when they're not in use. Both sizes of the Lanq PCDock offer 2.24 inches (57mm) of clearance underneath. That's just about enough for a mouse, but just shy of what's needed for an Xbox controller. It's deceptively small, in fact.
The PCDock Max size is designed to accommodate dual monitors, side-by-side, though I "only" have a 55-inch TV to test with on my gaming desk. It handled that fine, thankfully not collapsing at any point during testing. With ABS plastic legs on the side, the main frame is made of an unspecified metal (probably steel), and certainly feels sturdy.
If I did have two, or three monitors, I suspect I'd rather attach them to adjustable VESA mounting arms, so as to give me more control over the angle and tilt.
Lanq claims the PCDock stand will raise the monitor to the correct viewing height, thereby easing neck strain. I can't help but think monitor manufacturers have already considered this rather fundamental design aspect into their products, so this statement may be a little presumptuous. My work monitor actually includes a height-adjustable stand, as do many designed for use in an office.
RGB Lights
RGB lighting is not to everyone's taste, but it's a key feature of the Lanq PCDock. Offering either 60 or 120 LEDs depending on the size of the dock, these are pixel LEDs rather than a single color strip. A remote control is included, and a variety of attractive, if somewhat distracting, animations are pre-programmed.
You can also choose static colors, or you can change the speed of the animations to be less annoying. It really does look quite impressive, if you're into that sort of thing, which I am. I want all the RGBs.
Unfortunately, there's no integration here between the lights and desktop controller software. Your only method to choose how the lights behave is through that small remote control, so don't lose it.
Keen gamers who already have a lot of RGB kit will likely have already bought into a specific system, such as Razer Chroma, Corsair iCue, or even Philips Hue. This is therefore not going to appeal to them.
As a Hub
The Lanq PCDock is also a generic hub, offering two USB-A 3.0 ports, and two USB-C 3.2 ports, which have fast charging capability. However, these aren't Thunderbolt, so don't expect to be running a monitor off of them.
The exterior right-hand side of the dock feels like a sub-optimal placement. I'd much rather hide my keyboard and mouse cable underneath the monitor stand, and keep the cables off the desk. Useful as quick access for plugging in a USB stick perhaps; but my Razer keyboard also does that.
Ultimately, you wouldn't be purchasing the Lanq PCDock for the USB hub alone, so I'm not going to dwell on it; it's an ancillary feature that's useful to have.
10W Qi Charger
Also on the right-hand side you'll find a smartphone-sized rubber pad embedded into the top surface; this indicates the location of the 10W Qi charger.
This functioned much as expected, reliable triggering a wireless charge when my phone was placed onto it. But I can't say I found it all that useful. Modern smartphones tend to last me the entire day if I'm sat at my desk. It's only when heading out and about, using GPS, or taking videos that the battery doesn't last a whole day. In which case, I'm not at my desk.
Fingerprint Reader, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi
I've grouped these features together because they all require a separate driver download. The drivers come as a RAR file, and extract to reveal a bunch of DLLs, as well as a INF file, which you should locate and right-click on, then select "Install" in order to add them to your system. In 2021, I expect much better. A single driver package with an install executable should be an absolute minimum. But moreover, the fact you even need to install drivers for such generic features is almost unheard of nowadays.
It seems even more curious when you consider that in order to activate the Wi-Fi functionality, you either need to already have Wi-Fi, or an Ethernet cable plugged in. Are you going to unplug your faster, Gigabit Ethernet, to replace it with a less reliable and potentially laggy Wi-Fi connection? I doubt it. The only reason to use this Wi-Fi adaptor is if your existing one is a decade old, and only capable of 2.4Ghz. The Lanq dual-band Wi-Fi apparently goes up to 5.8Ghz.
The Bluetooth chip (BlueSoleil), worked briefly after a lot of fiddling and allowed me to connect to an Xbox controller. Until Windows decided something was wrong and disabled the driver. Fixing it required a restart and USB dance each time, which seemed like far more effort than it was worth.
I was unable to test the fingerprint reader, but in fairness, I don't think this is Lanq's fault. I disabled Windows login years ago, and now it won't let me re-enable it again. As a gaming-only Windows user, I don't need to secure my desktop in any way. Supposedly it can be used for Windows Hello, but there doesn't seem to be any deeper integration such as web payments, as I'm accustomed to on my Macbook Pro. That said, this might be the one killer feature for you, and if it is, you can probably justify the rest of the package too.
Should You Buy the Lanq PCDock?
The sales page seems to be aiming the Lanq PCDock at professionals and office workers, but the inclusion of RGB lighting would suggest gamers. Yet, the RGB lighting isn't integrated into any existing RGB system, which means gamers won't be interested in it unless this is their first foray into this kind of lighting system.
If the lighting was exposed to the connected PC system through the third-party "works with Razer Chroma" plugin or similar, it'd be a whole lot more useful. As it is, the reliance on a single point of failure (a tiny remote control) makes this aspect of the dock difficult to recommend.
Then there's the fact that the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and fingerprint reader require separate driver downloads. I can't remember the last time I had to install drivers for such basic features. My experience with Bluetooth dongles thus far on Windows 10 has been "plug and play". And even if the Lanq Bluetooth had worked reliably for me, which it didn't, a plug-and-play dongle from Pluggable is less than $10, and only a fraction bigger than the USB port it plugs into.
The whole thing feels like it was thrown together as part of a "design your ultimate monitor stand" competition. It's a mish-mash of nice-to-have features (if they worked), but none of them are individually compelling, and the whole is, well, less than the sum of its parts.
The Lanq PCDock is a sturdy monitor stand with some cool lighting and a USB hub, but at $200, the value for money simply isn't there.

Send in just a “🖊“ and I will talk about any one of my OCs at random!
To be perfectly honest, I always wanted CLST to head to Mistral at some point during their adventures, and run into Professor Guan Yunchang as she heads to Jianghu to finally settle things with her sister, Shouchang. This ends with them (and any other allies that are with them) basically reenacting the ending of a Yakuza game; where they all put on nice suits and storm wherever Shouchang’s headquarters is. I’m not entirely sure what happens next, but I know that Yunchang and Shouchang have to have their final battle on the rooftop

"Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat" to Bring Dante to Smartphones
It looks like China will be getting its very own take on Capcom's Dante. Game studio and publisher Yunchang Game reportedly acquired the rights to Devil May Cry from Capcom, leading to the franchise's first mobile game, Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat. Billed as an action-RPG powered by Unity 3D, Pinnacle of Combat is currently set to launch in the region sometime in 2018.
Yunchang Game says there will be online modes such as real-time PvP and team-based battles, and they're currently focusing on the game's combat system. In the meantime, here are a few screens that recently surfaced along with the report.
We'll have to stand by and see if Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat ends up going mobile outside of China.
