The government has declared two days off for Youm-e-Ashura

Two vacations were proclaimed for Youm-e-Ashura by the Federal Government on Friday. According to a statement from the Interior Ministry, the government proclaimed August 18 and 19 to be a public day to honour Youm-e-Ashura

Earlier this week, the Muharram-ul-Haram moon ringing in the new Islamic year, 1443 AH, was spotted by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal committee. Youm-e-Ashura is scheduled for 19 August.

Moulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Rouet-e-Hilal Committee presided over the meeting that took place in the office of the Deputy Commissioner in Quetta.

The conference was attended by representatives of the Central and Zonal Committee on the Ruet and the Hilal, Pakistan Meteorological Departments, Science and Technology Ministers and the Ministry of Religion and Harmony.

Salman Farsi was a Zoroastrian who adopted Islam, purified himself and was included in Prophet Mohammad’s Household. If it could happen to him then, then why can’t it happen to someone today?

- A true Sufi is one upon whose heart a Perfect Spiritual Guide has placed an image of God and the Motto of Faith through his spiritual concentration, whose Lower Self has been purified. It is a true Sufi who will love God and Prophet Mohammad. Until you adopt Sufism, no matter what worship you perform or how much you beat yourself in mourning of Imam Hussain, you will continue to give rise to Yazidism. Without Sufism, your mourning of Imam Hussain will be hypocritical.

- The age we live in today is more dangerous than the age of Yazid. In Yazid’s time, everyone knew that Imam Hussain was Prophet Mohammad’s grandson. However, this is the era of Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi - whom Prophet Mohammad would shed tears in the longing for. He is the One whose spiritual concentration takes a common sinner to the court of Prophet Mohammad. And people have committed all sorts of tyrannical and unjust acts against Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi - from throwing bombs to filing false cases of blasphemy to putting a bounty on His head.

- Either your inner is pure or it is impure. If it is pure, you are with the Household of Prophet Mohammad. And if it is impure, you are with the impure ones - you are with Yazid. The Koran mentions that Prophet Mohammad, in return for connecting the Muslim nation to God, asked nothing of them for except that they love his Household. Only those loved Prophet Mohammad’s Household who were part of his nation.  If you don't want Yazidism to thrive, then adopt Sufism. If we want Hussainism to thrive, then the hearts must be purified. Hussainism begins in the feet of Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi. If you want to follow the path of Imam Hussain, come to Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi.

LAHORE, August 18:

A delegation of students and teachers of Government Girls Higher Secondary School and Government City Girls High School Taunsa visited the Chief Minister's Office during a study tour of Lahore. The students were shown documentaries about socio-cultural and government affairs along with a visit to different sections.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar welcomed students and announced to regularly invite the students of government schools to Lahore on study trips along with a visit to his office for rendezvous with the CM. The students of underdeveloped areas' government schools will be given preference in this regard, he appended. I am happy to meet with the students who are like my daughters and entertaining them is an honour; the CM maintained and asked them to work hard to excel in life. The promotion of education is the key agenda of the government, he repeated.

The CM said a university will be started early in Taunsa along with the completion of the unfinished Fort Munro cadet college project. Meanwhile, the recruitment rules are being relaxed to overcome the shortage of teachers in Taunsa and other backward areas, he revealed. Underdeveloped areas' locals will be given preference, he spoke. Similarly, the government has started the Rahmatul-lil-alameen Scholarships to help underprivileged students to continue their studies, he informed. Meanwhile, facilities like roads and parks were also being improved in Taunsa to enhance the quality of life, concluded the CM.

Provincial Minister Murad Raas said the students of government schools are not less than anybody in intellect and abilities adding that the standard of government schools was being improved. The students said the protocol given to them is unprecedented. I am the first girl student in my family to visit the CM's Office and this has given me new confidence, another student said. District Education Officer said Usman Buzdar has set the best tradition by inviting the students of government schools to the CMO.

CM MESSAGE ON YOUM-E-ASHURA

LAHORE, August 18:

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar said Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions wrote a new history by sacrificing their lives for a noble purpose while the incident of Karbala reminds us of the invaluable sacrifices by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.

In a message, the CM said the sacrifices of the martyrs of Karbala are worth following for us. Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions did not surrender before the falsehood and sacrificed their lives. This was not an incident of martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) but a part of the blessed life of Hazarat Mohammad (PBUH), he said. The martyrs live in the annals of history but the legacy of the falsehood does not survive, he continued.

Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions have given a strong message of not surrendering before the falsehood by sacrificing their lives and this incident has enlivened the golden principles of Islam forever. There is a growing need to follow the golden principles of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and the nation should thwart the enemy's designs through unity, he emphasised.

Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) gave the sacrifice for the supremacy of Islam and humanity and taught the whole world to raise the voice of truth through his strong character and action. His struggle is an enduring message to firmly stand against oppression and we all should re emphasise our commitment today to follow the golden principles of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) in our lives, concluded the CM.

CM FOR BEST SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS ON YOUM-E-ASHURA

LAHORE, August 18:

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said every step has been taken to ensure the best law and order situation in the province on youm-e-ashura and directions have been issued to maintain four-tier security for Muharram processions and gatherings.

In a statement, he asked the cabinet committee for law and order to continue regular monitoring of the devised security plan and the police and other staff should remain present in their places of duties till the termination of majalis and processions. Best food arrangements should be made for police officials and other duty staff, he said.

CM PERFORMS GHUSL OF DATA SAHIB’S SHRINE

LAHORE, August 18:

              Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, provincial ministers, high officials and others performed the annually-held ceremony of ghusl of the grave of Hazrat Syed Ali Bin Usman (RA), popularly known as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) with rosewater on Wednesday.

Provincial Ministers namely Raja Basharat, Saeed-ul-Hassan Shah, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Ajmal Cheema, Sardar Asif Nakai, parliamentary secretary (Auqaf) Taimur Lali, Nazir Chohan MPA, Principal Secretary to CM, secretary auqaf, commissioner & DC Lahore and devotees attended the ceremony.

The CM laid the floral wreath and offered Fateha. He prayed for solidarity, prosperity and stability of the country. He also prayed for the freedom of oppressed Kashmiris of Indian Occupied Kashmir. Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) and other Muslim saints promoted the message of peace, harmony, justice and social equality in the subcontinent and may Allah Almighty grant freedom to suppressed Kashmiris from illegal Indian occupation, the CM stated.
