He loves the simple things: slow mornings with a cup of coffee, late nights sitting together in comfortable silence, just existing in each other’s space. There’s no rush, no need to fill the gaps with words. You’re here. That’s enough.

He’s a fantastic listener. You could be rambling about something insignificant, and he’ll nod along, a small smile tugging at his lips, murmuring a soft “That so?” He remembers everything you tell him, even the things you forget you said.

Time together doesn’t have to be fancy—just leaning against the bar while he cleans a glass, a knowing look shared across a crowded room, walking you home at the end of the night, his steady presence beside you like an unspoken promise.

He’s always got a seat saved for you at The Last Drop, whether it’s a booth in the corner where it’s quiet or the spot beside him at the bar. If you’re there, his arm will instinctively settle around the back of your chair, fingers brushing your shoulder, just to ground you.

If you need him, really need him, he drops everything. No questions, no hesitation. Just a deep, steady “I’m here. What do you need?” Because nothing—nothing—is more important than making sure you’re okay.

His love isn’t loud or flashy, but you feel it in the way he lingers when he says goodnight, in the way he always makes time for you no matter how busy he is, in the way he makes even the simplest moments feel safe, steady, and yours.

Vi

Vi isn’t the type to sugarcoat things, but when she loves you, you know it. Not just in the way she holds you, or how she fights for you, but in the way she speaks life into you when you need it most. “You’re stronger than you think. You always have been.”

She hypes you up like it’s her job. Whether you’re training, getting ready for a big fight, or just doubting yourself, she’s right there, arms crossed, smirking. “Damn, look at you. Ain’t nobody messing with you today.” And suddenly, you believe it.

She notices things no one else does. How hard you work, how much you care, the way you hold yourself together when things get tough. And she makes damn sure you know it. “You don’t give yourself enough credit, babe. You’re killing it.”

But let’s be real—Vi needs this too.

She talks a big game, acts like she’s got it all figured out, but deep down? She’s been beaten down too many times, abandoned, left to fend for herself when she was just a kid. She doesn’t always believe she’s good enough.

That’s why she gives words of affirmation so easily—because she knows what it’s like to need them and not get them. She hypes you up, but the truth is? She’s lowkey hoping you’ll do the same for her. That one day, when she’s feeling like she’s not enough, you’ll grab her hand, squeeze it tight, and say, “Vi, you don’t have to fight this alone. You’re not just strong—you’re good. And I love you.”

And when you do? She just blinks for a second, like she’s trying to process it. Then she pulls you into the tightest hug, presses her forehead against yours, and exhales like she’s been holding her breath for years. “…Yeah. Okay.” Because maybe, just maybe, she’s starting to believe it too.

Jinx

Gift Giving

Jinx isn’t into traditional gifts, but she’ll make her girlfriend custom jewelry from bullet casings, old gears, or random shiny things she finds in Zaun. Instead of flowers, she gifts her girlfriend tiny explosives shaped like roses. They can be real flowers laced with fireworks or tiny grenades wrapped in petals—because why not? Jinx loves giving her girlfriend weapons she’s modified. If her girl likes knives, she’ll engrave something silly on the blade. If it’s a gun, maybe it’ll have hearts carved into the grip.

Physical touch

Jinx loves throwing herself onto her girlfriend’s lap out of nowhere, whether they’re sitting on a rooftop or in the middle of a hideout full of goons. She’ll sprawl across her like a lazy cat, demanding attention. isn’t the type for gentle hugs—she tackles her girlfriend into them, wrapping her arms and legs around her like an octopus, holding on for dear life. Bonus points if she knocks them both over in the process. When her girlfriend is focused on something else, Jinx will run her fingers over her arm, doodle on her skin with markers, or poke at her face until she gets attention. In rare soft moments, she’ll pull her girlfriend into an impromptu slow dance under the glow of neon signs, swaying dramatically even if there’s no music playing. Jinx is a biter. She’ll lightly nibble on her girlfriend’s shoulder, ear, or fingers just to see her reaction. Sometimes it’s playful, sometimes it’s pure gremlin energy. After a particularly explosive day, Jinx will press her forehead against her girlfriend’s, closing her eyes as if grounding herself in the moment.

Caitlyn

Acts of Service

Caitlyn isn’t the type to say “I love you” a hundred times a day, but she is the type to notice when you’re tired and silently push a warm cup of tea into your hands. No words, just a small nod like, Drink this. I’ve got you.

She picks up on the things you forget—locking the door behind you, bringing an umbrella when it looks like rain, making sure you actually eat when you’re too busy to notice you’re running on fumes.

You don’t even have to ask. Your boots are polished, your coat is mended, your bullets are counted. You mention once that your gun is misfiring, and the next morning, it’s cleaned and calibrated like new.

If you’re in danger? Oh, she’s already three steps ahead. No hesitation, no second-guessing—Caitlyn will be there, rifle loaded, steady hands ready to protect you before you even realize you need it.

“Let Me Handle It” Energy

She has a protective streak a mile wide but in a way that’s so effortlessly competent it’s almost infuriating. You could be in the middle of saying, “Don’t worry, I can—” and she’s already solved the problem. “I know. But now you don’t have to.”

Late at night, when you’re exhausted but stubbornly pushing through your work, she gently takes the papers or tools from your hands, a soft but firm, “That’s enough for tonight.” And you don’t argue, because somehow she always knows exactly when you need to rest.

She notices the little things—fixing your coat when it’s slipping off your shoulders, refilling your ammo if you forget, keeping an extra knife in her boot just in case you lose yours. She doesn’t make a big deal of it, but she remembers everything.

If anyone messes with you, Caitlyn does not hesitate. There’s no dramatic threat, no shouting—just a sharp, authoritative “Walk away.” And they do, because something about her says she means it.

You don’t even realize how much she does for you until one day she’s away on a mission, and suddenly all those little things—your morning coffee, your errands, the way she always pulls you out of your head before you spiral—aren’t just happening on their own. That’s when it really hits you: Caitlyn loves you in ways you don’t even notice until she’s gone.

Ambessa Medarda

Ambessa doesn’t just give gifts—she claims you with them. Every piece is a statement, a mark of her power, and by extension, yours. A finely crafted dagger, a silk cloak lined with fur, a necklace that gleams like it costs more than some people’s lives. “If you are to stand at my side, you will look the part.”

She has impeccable taste, and she knows exactly what suits you—jewelry that feels like it was made for your hands, weapons balanced to your grip, clothes tailored so perfectly it’s almost unsettling. You never have to ask; she simply knows.

The gifts aren’t just for vanity, though. Every single one has purpose. The ring on your finger? It’s more than just a symbol—it’s a warning to anyone who dares cross you. The dagger? Engraved with a silent promise: You are never defenseless.

She adores seeing you in what she’s given you. She’ll adjust a clasp on your necklace, fingers lingering at your pulse point. Brush her thumb over a ring she placed on your hand. A deep, approving hum when she sees you wear her colors. “Good. Now they’ll remember your name.”

If you ever try to refuse a gift, she’ll simply raise a brow, unimpressed. “Do not insult me by denying what I wish to give.” And, well… are you really going to argue with her?

More than anything, her gifts are a message: You are mine, and I take care of what’s mine.

Thanks for this question, it's been ages since I got to talk about my characters, and I'm so happy to see there's still interest in my babies! ;w;

Just a heads up, I'll be using some older drawings (pre-2023) and comic pages in french to illustrate things, if you notice a difference in style, that's totally normal!

My characters go through a lot of phases, but I'll just summarize two of the main ones: the time when they were traveling together and the time when they’ve settled into adulthood.

Nowadays, Axel's just your average journalist, living life without much magic, except for the occasional use to rev up his motorcycle or light his pipe.

Back in the day when he was an adventurer, though, things were different. If he found himself in a scrap, he had a mechanical flying broom, crafted by Tellos, at his service, along with a trusty rope to tie up his foes. He could also conjure shields of cascading fire.

If things got really intense, he would unleash a massive fire laser to clear his path, but only in the most extreme situations (he's not a violent boy).

Nowadays, Veron's a simple office worker clocking in 9 to 5. But he's also a priest, so his schedule is packed with community events like soup kitchens, masses, and charity activities.

Back in the day, he was an exorcist on a mission to heal the many cursed gods that inhabit their world. His powers were tied to electricity and magnetism, which he used to fly, deflect enemy attacks and connect his exorcism amulet to the targeted god. Plus, he wielded a katana and could manipulate any metal weapon from a distance.

In a pinch, he could disarm his foes and, if things got really out of hand, he could zap them with a jolt of electricity (but same as Axel, he's a good boy so it's not his cup of tea to turn the enemy into a roastie).

Nowadays, Uvia, Axel's twin, is a harbor innkeeper just trying to navigate the chaos of motherhood with her hellish kid, Nikolaj. Her powers allow her to play with ice and manipulate the temperature in her cocktails.

Back in her youth, that same ice was a formidable weapon. She could conjure swords, sabers, and shields to defend herself, and she had a blast shaping the terrain to trap her enemies or slide in for a quick attack. Outside of combat, she could use her abilities to cool down injured areas, acting as a makeshift anesthetic.

These days, Tellos is a plumbing engineer who sometimes picks up extra work doing repairs in people's homes. He’s also the adoptive father of Nikolaj, and he's doing his best to keep the little hellion out of trouble. His powers are great for maintaining his vegetable garden.

Back in his adventurous days, he relied heavily on his mechanical backpack, which was like a Swiss army knife for combat: it had propellers, thrusters, giant hands, blades, and even a small squadron of machine-gun robots. His plant-related powers came in handy too, allowing him to create fuel for his gadgets and potentially trap enemies. Outside of battle, he used those same powers to whip up powerful ointments whenever needed.

Speaking of my other OCs (this post is getting pretty long lmao), Kohana used to be a spy on the run, wielding daggers and setting traps.

Now, she’s made a name for herself as a legitimate political figure who genuinely listens to her constituents.

Then there’s Rhoda, Veron’s little sister. She shares his powers but focuses on precision, using her abilities to electrify her projectiles and target enemies effectively. Today, she’s a close colleague and valued friend of Kohana.

As for Elombe and Yasmine, I don’t have a visual for their current designs, sorry! Just picture Elombe as a barely-teen elf, while Yasmine was already an adult when the others were still on their adventures so she didn't change much.

Elombe is still a schoolboy, he loves to dress up as the god of rain and show off the shapes he can create with his powers. He can even make water clones, which can be quite the hell for enemies who hate kids~

Yasmine, on the other hand, is a priestess in a women’s parish dedicated to the god of wind. Her powers allow her to soar through the skies to visit her deity and send her enemies flying, though that doesn’t happen too often.

We're currently focused on making three games (as a team of four) - so I'll try and be succinct with it:

Soldiers of Steele

Spawned directly from the desire to play a more customizable version of Lancer, and then took on its own tone and theming. It's set in the early 1930s, in an alternate timeline where the stock market crash of '29 was replaced by the invasion of a variety of eldritch and horrifying monsters. You play Cogsman: the disposable pilots of dieselpunk mechs fighting back against the Oddity menace. It's meant to contrast the evils of capitalism with the literal monsters that have overrun the country, and tackle ideas of American greatness. Mechanically, you can customize your mech pretty heavily - almost like a very simple GURPS with money instead of character points (especially for the weapons).

It's made for groups of four players and one Director, who are looking to grow as a "company" over time, focus on crunchy combat, and grapple with a system where your mech is insured, but you are not. It works equally well for short and long games, but it can be really front-heavy if you want to start at a higher level.

Deep Spacin'

This one comes from the video game Faster Than Light + a craving for a very specific '70s–'80s retro-futuristic coat of paint. "Wacky" and "groovy" have been our keywords. You play as Spacers, outcast from the universe's bastions of authority, who have just experienced the loss of everything they own, and have been offered the job that will set them up for life. I believe its structure of multiple runs through sectors - resetting on death - places it somewhere in the Rogue-like/Roguelite spectrum, but I confess I don't know enough to say that with my chest. The character creation is very simple, and most of the game focuses on building up a nightmare of a ship map by tacking on rooms as you go.

It's made for groups of 4–6 players and one Star Master, who want something high-paced, funny, and relatively short. We regularly squeeze these into four hour time slots at conventions, but for the best experience, I'd recommend more like twelve hours for a full run (including character creation and learning the game!).

Palette Quest

This one is my personal baby! Palette Quest started as an adaptation of .dungeon by Snow, until it far outgrew its pot. It takes place inside the world of an MMORPG, played in full-dive VR - essentially, it's like being isekaied into the video game, but you can still log out and can't die. It's meant to be run in a cozy-adjacent way, and is built to give as much freedom for problem-solving as possible. You can do a lot of weird stuff interacting with the real world, and fighting is rarely the most interesting option. Alongside the shenanigans, it has themes of building strong bonds within a party, and tackling ideas of what it means to be human. The NPCs of the world are arguably intelligent - is it murder to kill them? Can your PC handle that? The DOOM Counter counts down to the revelation of some secret in the nature of the game that will end the campaign - do you uncover the secret, or keep playing forever?

Unfortunately, since PQ has the most moving parts, it's the hardest to sum-up quickly.

It's made for groups of 4–6 players and one System, who want something in line with sandbox "cozy" gaming that's built for long-form campaigns almost exclusively. It could also be a good fit if you want to dig into the gather -> craft -> sell game loop that isn't present many places. You can open a tavern. Start a garden. Adopt a town. All that good shit.

Pairing: fire fighter Noah x female reader (named Tess Monroe)

Warnings: each chapter has its own warnings

Prologue: Hungry for action, determined to be the best. That’s how you could describe Lt. Noah Sebastian. He does not fear his job and thinks there are no limits for him. Until one tragic call, where he sees things he’s never seen before. It changes him to the point where it affects his work performance and he’s sent to a therapy. Tess, aka Theres Monroe, is therapist and part of the LA crisis team for LA fire department. She’s the one who’s sent to lead the briefing after the tragic call and that’s how she meets Noah for the first time.

She’s a therapist, she knows when someone is silently suffering and that’s why she gave Noah her card after the group therapy, but she didn’t think he would ever use it.

“We shouldn’t be doing this.” is great teaser for the future of their relationship.

This story is a work of fiction, with the plot and characters entirely made up. The appearance and name of the main male character are inspired by Noah Sebastian Davis, but the storyline bears no connection to the real person. Please do not steal or repost this work on other platforms without permission.

They act as though they’re clueless to why we were forced to take those souls.

Once on the surface, we tried to be nice as we always have been. We tried to quietly settle onto the surface and let them beat us half to death because we were too scared to fight back. We’re about to dust like a wimpy Asriel- all of us- if we don’t demonstrate our real strength. They won’t listen to us normally, so we’ll just have to force some respect into their heads first.

The humans won the last war, but we've grown stronger since then. Are you going to let our king die and ourselves be pushed back? Of course not! Everything we have is on the line, so be smart, use all your power, and don’t stop until they are forced to drop on their knees and listen!

(Kara) "*There's even more applause with the occasional PREECH here and there* Thank you, Flowey! *Brings him to the side* That was fantastic! I'm going to have to up my game when I'm going to try to make my speech! Also, bad news, Sans and Multivesal Anon are dead. They tried to find the souls for some reason and I'm guessing both got shot. *Sighs* We have to keep moving though. Like you said, 'we've grown stronger'"

(Noelle) "We have. I do sometimes wonder, will it be enough?"

(Kara) "Even if it's not, we can say we went out trying. And maybe it could spark some revolutions in the future. The day we charge in will be the most important day for this universe."

(Noelle) "Flowey, Kara, and I were talking a bit before about relaxing after we're done with this. Well if, but they believe that we still have so many worlds to save."

(Kara) "This is not the time!"

(Noelle) "I know, but I just wanted him to know our argument. What would you want to do if we survived this?"

Also very funny that earlier Asahai showed up with the old graphics, but Maxima was already boasting full new skin textures despite having of course a way more custom model than the completely character creator ready Hyur next to him... This is the exact right time in the game's history to be in late Stormblood to enjoy the roll out.

That and when guys act like girls can't/don't know how to play videogames I've had guys literally try to  "teach" me things about games I've been playing longer than them. They also knew this when they asked.

I once had a guy ask me if I wanted him to walk me through the entirety (and I do mean the entirety) of BG3 (Hi! Hello! Regular honor mode player here.👋✨) and one asked me if I knew Skyrim had mods and if I knew how to install them. (This was after I told him how I had been playing Skyrim,at the time, for 5+ years.)

Something you collect: Nerd merch. I have a lot of Loki related items and different Funko pops. I also have a Ghost replica that lights up (not to mention a lot of nerd shirts/sweatshirts including a Cayde-6 one.)

Favorite animal:I really like Lions,Tigers and Wolves. Owls are my favorite bird.

Are you musical?: I was a theater kid growing up.I was in musicals and talent shows. I sing still. In school I played piano,drums,steel drums, trombone and guitar. Now I mostly use those talents as a bard in RP/videogames.😅 (A friend of mine and I recently watched the d&d movie and when the bard appeared she pointed at the screen and said "It's you!")

Favorite subject in school:English and music both have my heart.❤️

i dont do a lot of book recs on here (i think ive done one before?) but the Henry Rios books by Michael Nava are so criminally underrated!

They're these mystery novels from the 1980s-1990s about a gay, Latino lawyer (Henry Rios, our protagonist/narrator) solving mysteries--usually while trying to prove his client's innocence. He's a long-suffering idealist written as this kind of hard-boiled detective.

This is actually something the whole series tackles, subverts, and deconstructs in a really interesting way! Instead of being this stoic detective, the archetype gets broken down in a lot of really fascinating and human ways earnestly discussing love, grief, intergenerational trauma, racism, homophobia, illness/disability, toxic masculinity, and substance abuse.

What I love is that these books realize that the hard-boiled detective is stuck in a point of hurt and trauma, and so the Henry Rios series makes a big deal out of fighting tooth and nail to GET BETTER--whatever it takes to improve yourself and your surroundings. While the books maintain a lot of the dark and morose vibe of the original genre (especially given the looming, perpetual grief of AIDS-era queer lit), they always come back to a death match against apathy. It's really moving stuff, especially as the books take this approach to Henry's recovery from alcoholism.

if you're interested in queer history, the books are in touch with queer legal/political history during the HIV/AIDS crisis. The first few books have been rewritten/published as well since Michael Nava's retirement, so I think a comparative reading could be really interesting. For the record, Nava was a civil rights lawyer, so this is all done REALLY well (not to mention the legal drama is engaging, theatrical, petty, gutting, and sometimes hilarious).

if you're interested in detective fiction, they're brilliant deconstructions of the genre. instead of taking the depressed alcoholic white guy with repressed desire for male companionship at face value, the series considers a gay Latino man struggling with machismo, racism and homophobia, intersectional identity, and processing/recovering from grief, childhood trauma, alcoholism, and Catholicism.

Stylistically, the books are smart, poetic, introspective, dark, and witty. There's a lot of suffering, but there are also a lot of intense moments of joy and catharsis that feel really earned.

Also, if you read the rewrites. uh. there's a lot of smut! Happy retirement, Mr. Nava!

Not to sound too mean but what do you expect me to do? I get that sapphic ships get overshadowed and underrated all the time in comparison to achillean ones. Believe me. I am a lesbian who is constantly pushing their sapphic ships everywhere.

But you can't expect people to suddenly stop posting about the achillean ships they enjoy just because they're more popular than YOUR favorite ships. Is it bothersome that achillean ships get more attention for the sole reason of being a male pairing while sapphic ships get ignored or not even suggested? Yeah!!!! It's frustrating.

But if you want some change in the amount of content you see then it's YOUR fight only and others should be allowed to post whatever they like. If you want to post only sapphic ships or you're bothered by them being talked in the same light as achillean ones, then it's YOUR choice to make.

Fandom is NOT activism!!! Fandom is meant to be enjoyed in whatever way you want. Fandom is to interpret media in your own way. So, honestly, if I want to make a simple post comparing two ships I like, why should I be trying to defend myself here for that? If people don't like it, then they can just block me, scroll, move on, etc.

To think a post about comparing fictional ships is insensitive is insane to me, tbh.

Ray's After Ending is so funny because for a good chunk of it, most of the RFA members are knocked out by V's sleeping gas (Saeran is immune, Saeyoung isn't present bc he was kidnapped by his agency under his father's orders and MC wakes up in like an hour) but the game has a call feature where you can call the characters and it would be a waste if you couldn't use it bc the characters were unavailable so instead they have other people pick up the call (Jumin's driver picks up Jumin's phone, Jumin's father picks up Zen's phone, Yoosung's friends and mom pick up Yoosung's phone and Jaehee's coworkers pick up Jaehee's phone) and we do get to learn about the characters from outsider's point of view but it's so funny to me that these people are visiting their loved ones and suddenly the phone rings and they decide to just. answer it. and start talking to this stranger they've never met

i am Blind to basically anything I'm not familiar with, so i still don't know anythin about In Stars and Time. Could you give some info on it??? i am looking for games to play rn....

hmmm okay.. I will say, going in blind is best! I went in knowing literally only 3 things. 1) that it was about a timeloop, 2) that it was entirely monochrome, and 3) that this one character I had seen once was in it (Mirabelle, didn't know her name, just that she existed). And going in with such little knowledge was great, I'd highly recommend

But if you want more, then here's a bit more.. (mostly a synopsis of stuff you'll figure out early on, no major spoilers)

Obviously its a story about a timeloop! In the game, your party is a group trying to save the world from someone simply known as "the King" who is freezing the entire country in time. Interestingly, the game takes place at the end of your journey. The entire party has been assembled and have known each other, you've journeyed across the country, collected items that'll allow you to enter where the King awaits. All thats left to do is go through where he's holed up and defeat him. Also interestingly, you don't play as the protagonist of this story I've just mentioned. A girl named Mirabelle is the chosen one, blessed by her god, she is unable to be frozen in time, and has taken it upon herself to save her country. Yet, you aren't playing as her. You're playing as someone named Siffrin, just one of her party members, and one that says that they're only here because "they have nothing better to do." This should be Mirabelle's story, but you quickly realize why it isn't. Not long into the game, Siffrin's life unexpectedly comes to an end, and the fact that there's a timeloop afoot becomes apparent. Nobody but you and one strange mystery person (named "Loop" of all things) are aware of the loops. In the game you'll do all that you can to make it to the King and defeat him and keep your friends safe, no matter how many deaths, no matter how much time. But thing's aren't that simple you'll find!

Also this game is about a timeloop, so as you may guess, there's a lot of death involved so warnings for lots of death (including suicide), and also warnings for Really Bad Mental Health Stuff, as you may also guess, being trapped in a timeloop isn't good for your mental health. Check the warnings for the game if you think you may need to!
