like I think one problem ppl are having with the witcher (besides being fans of the books which, guys, believe me, once you forget everything about the books, you learn to like big screen adaptations. I just watched the hunger games and loved it, even though I fucking detested the movie when I was 11) is that they wanna analyze every little thing. guys, this isn't game of thrones. stop looking for depth, treat this like trash like- idk, the walking dead (that show was bad, right? I never actually watched it...). just be there for the funny lines and the relationships and the pretty characters and scenery and awesome music and fight scenes, that's it! there's no use choosing a side or trying to expect the best writing out of it. everyone is stinky and bad except ciri, everyone is irredeemably flawed and fucked up. everything is a tangled mess because the world created for the show is currently a tangled mess! all that really matters to me are the characters and the aesthetics, and that's why I'm having so much fun! turn off your brain, I promise you'll like the witcher much more

sam first realized she could see ghosts when she was six. her grandmother had just passed and her ghost visited her the night after the older woman was laid to rest. sam was young, yes, but, she knew that her grandmother was no longer of this world. she was the first ghost of many the girl would encounter in woodsboro. sam would tell her parents about this, but, they would brush it off, especially her mother. sam is a child with a big imagination and they just didn't take her seriously. the older sam got, the more she would begin to attract ghosts to her.

one day, she and her friends were exploring woodsboro one halloween night. they came across the old macher house, which has been abandoned since the machers left woodsboro in the 1990s. one of her friends dared her to enter the house. she would have to bring something from the house to show she went inside of it. there were rumors it was haunted, after all. and she could see and speak with ghosts. maybe the ghosts of the infamous ghostface killers still roamed the location of their failed kill spree plot. sam was feeling quite bold and she accepted the dare. she managed to get into the house and immediately.....it felt off. she got bad vibes. immediately, she wanted to leave. she should have known better, she liked watching horror movies, after all. this was beginning to feel like she just entered the plot of one. she swallows back her fear and continues on through the house. tatum ri.ley is the first ghost she encounters. the teenaged ghost is excited. anyone else that has came into this house has never been able to see her. sam can see her as clear as day, she has the wounds she died from when she was killed with the garage door. she even reaches out and touches sam, sending chills through the girl's body. this was proof the house was haunted enough for sam. this was also more proof that she had a power she could not fully comprehend. she grabs a random object abandoned when the machers skipped town and she decides not to linger any longer. if tatum was here, the ghosts of the killers could be as well. she did not want to stick around long enough to find out. unfortunately for her, she encounters billy on her way out. she can see him as clear as she could see tatum. she freezes in place. she stares him down as he stares her down. he is wearing the clothes he died in. he is silent as he stares at her. she is not the first kid to break into this home on a dare. but, she is the first to be able to actually see him. his silence is unsettling. tatum at least engaged in conversation with her. he smiles at her before promptly disappearing. sam did not stay around to see if stu was lingering about because the encounter with billy was enough for her to Get the hell out of there. due to her mediumship, billy attached himself to her. tatum and stu did as well. stu was about to scare sam cause that's basically all he can do for entertainment these days, he was just keeping himself hidden to do so. especially since he watched her converse with tatum and she was having a staring contest with billy. the three ghosts decided to attach themselves to the energy sam was giving off and that allowed them to finally leave the macher house. tatum and stu immediately go off on their own while billy follows sam. he decides to stay attached to sam. he comes and goes as he pleases, but, he always comes back. he is the most constant spirit to visit her. he visits her even more once it is revealed he fathered her.
