Pine resin: The yellow powder they use on the archery team for their bows. It's sticky, so she makes sure to take care of her bow when she's finished.

Perfume: You can't expect a girl like her to not wear perfume, though it's only for her days off to smell good and look pretty.

Flowers: Much like Fuuka, she has a lot of flowers (and shopping bags, posters and CDs) in her room that mean a lot to her, reminding her of all the good times with her dad. She spends most of her time in her room to care for them.

At school and within Tartarus/the Dark Hour, she wears a pink cardigan, a loose red ribbon, a black mini skirt, black knee-high stockings with white lines on the outer-sides (often shown with white hearts of four in more detailed settings), and a heart-shaped white choker.

On the weekends and days off in the winter, she is seen wearing a long pink off-the-shoulder dress with lace-sewn patterns and fur linings over her skirt alongside a pair of tan knee-high boots with a fur trim.

Generally, she wears whatever is super trendy, considering she reads a lot of girl model magazines and dresses to impress and for herself.

- Yukari's mom is named Kayo (formerly) Takeba and Yukari is the spitting image of her in terms of her looks, but she gets her kindness and love for flowers from her dad.

- After seeing her mother basically lose everything, including her dignity, Yukari thought about moving many times, but she had nowhere else to go since her relatives lived out of Kyoto, her hometown.

- Due to her mother's emotional and narcissistic abuse, and the fact that she was away from home, she was forced to learn how to cook, however, she rarely ate as punishment for herself, for being such a selfish daughter. She still hated her mother.

- She's grateful she started going to a dorm as soon as she started high school because that's way better than being at home and being ignored.

Yukari is definitely one who does not listen to music often, but when she does, 80's/90's and 2000's J-pop songs and bands take her number one spot. She likes dancing in her room too. And yes, of course the majority of them are the cheesiest love songs! Some boy bands count too based on the various posters she owns.

She hates the idea of falling in love, but also wants a romance that will last for a lifetime with the one she loves.

Depression songs come at a later time in her life, but all she really does is cry her eyes out.

(Also, her English is decent enough and I feel like Sia's song about tough big girls and Chaldelier are such bangers for her.)

They're not necessarily the same as comic relief since comedy is not really their point, but rather positivity as a whole. They do have a similar role though, acting as a mood-maker who shields others from feelings of despair or doom and generally prevents the plot from getting overly grim. Of course, if the story does start progressing towards an inevitable darker tone, then it might be necessary for them to take the backseat, leave or even die altogether.

When You Coming Home, Dad?: As her dad was very busy with work and eventually died, her mother threw herself at random men after his death to cope with it. They also moved a couple of times since all those rumors started and people were mean to her and her mom.

Mitsuru:

Lonely Rich Kid: Some people loathe her for her status, others love her for her beauty. Mitsuru doesn't care about that since she doesn't have any close friends aside from SEES, and sometimes, that lonely feeling eats her up inside.

Akihiko:

Boxing Battler: He is a boxer, and one who had a tragic past, but does not give up in order to gain power, become stronger and protect the ones he loves the most.

Shinjiro:

Pocket Protector: Whether he loses it or not, Shinji keeps his pocketwatch where it's safe-- in his breast pocket, and that's exactly what saved him when he took Takaya's bullet and saved Ken's life. He would've accepted his death right then and there regardless of the circumstances.

This has been stuck in my head ever since I first rped her. Yukari says she's on a diet in PQ and loves sweets, but she might have some sort of eating disorder anyway. She never gains weight, at least not noticeably. Her father's death and all that moving with her mom to avoid those nasty rumors took a toll on her mental and physical health. She didn't eat as much as she used to, only because it was necessary.

And with so much exercise in the Dark Hour, she only craves something sweet every now and then to keep her energy up. Although she never says no to free food.

She believes in Shinto rather faithfully since she makes trips to Naganaki Shrine to pray for the safety of her friends and loved ones except her mom. She can rot in hell.

Well, she’s lucky her parents are very clean from that. Not so much in her old neighborhood, a bad part of Iwatodai where drunks came out all the time. She’s never had it, of course, and probably never will. It makes her sick.

One of her biggest dreams, as told by her shadow, was to run away from all her pressuring responsibilities from becoming the next manager. However, since she’s accepted herself, she’s decided to take over and will do her best to make her mother proud. One other big dream is to have a family of her own whether adopted or with her partner who loves and accepts her for who she is.

Well, considering literally every muse here is bisexual by default, I’m gonna talk about when they felt that change.

Yukari never cared much for girls and only looked at guys. Not for a relationship or anything. Just because it’s the norm in Japan. She realised she might’ve not been so straight post!p3 when Mitsuru comforted her during The Answer and following her emotional breakdown. She was just too soft-- not at all like normal, ice cold Mitsuru. She hasn’t come out to anyone but her as of right now.

Same with Fuuka when she fell for the FeMC after completing her Social Link. They might’ve dated for a while until she died. Also, she had an unrequited crush on Natsuki. Not to mention her parents would be very disappointed if she brought home a girl. Not that she cares much, but still.

Hey, ya like girls? Pretty girls?? Naoto sure freaking does!!! Big gay but bi energy right here! Her first crush was Rise, but it was unrequited. Eventually, fell for Kanji and Yu. But then she left for Tokyo and those dreams were never accomplished. Still single.

Love is a bit of a hit or miss situation for Yukari due to her past: deceased father and mother who doesn’t seem to care that much about her. She’s a popular girl, but she doubts anyone would fall for her. If she does fall for someone, her first step is to completely deny it and try to brush it off.She’s way too moody and sarcastic; those aren’t very attractive traits for a woman.

Fuuka’s a very pure, innocent girl who’s very insecure and gets bullied rather often. Love is sort of complex for her. She’ll only get crushes if that person is honest, protective and patient with her mistakes. Especially with cooking. Of course, friendships are also very important and that’s her priority mainly, but things change.
