Second part of experimenting with different art styles, this time the inspiration is Yoshiyasu Tamura an artist that I consider more like a paint god ahah
I tried to replicate the style of his paintings using digital media because...yeah, I don't have the materials (including like actual gold for the background 😳) and I suck with traditional art.
The character should be Aurora because her and Des are like my go-to characters when I have to experiment with stuff :3

𝕀ℕ 𝔸 ℙ𝔸𝕀ℕ𝕋𝕀ℕ𝔾 𝔸 𝕦𝕟𝕚𝕢𝕦𝕖 𝕖𝕩𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕚𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖 Among the various modeling jobs I had, I’ve had the honor to pose for famous artists. Yoshiyasu Tamura managed to paint me in a very unique way. I still have one of these paintings on my wall! Instead, Imai Takahiro (last three pictures) decided has an “antique” style, I look so much younger in his paintings! Definitely one of the best experiences! It’s so satisfying as a model to be of inspiration for an artist.

"The Japanese artist Tamura Yoshiyasu is both a manga artist and painter. His career started with his first manga, Fudegami, which was popularly published monthly in Japan’s Shonen Jump. With a strong influence of his passion for Western style painting, he manages to mash both together in a striking colorful and energetic style of modern manga with the traditional Japanese art. part 1 of 3 "

INSIDE OUR 10TH ANNIVERSARY ISSUE 41 // RESERVE YOUR COPY TODAY!
“I constantly visit museums, read art books, and refer to works of art from the past in my paintings. But at the same time, I also read books on mathematics and philosophy and constantly review the relationship of my paintings to past and present history. I love to visit the Uffizi museum in Firenze (Florence). When I was there, I visited the gallery at least one time each week. At the time, I had a deadline to draw my manga work for a French comic book company so I drew it in the Uffizi museum using my iPad. I look at the paintings of the masters of the past, in museums and art books, and I fantasise - what would have past Japanese masters, like Hokusai, painted if they had travelled to Italy? What would past European masters, like Botticelli, have painted if they had seen a Japanese anime? It's fun to imagine these things.”
