The horrors You Fear
https://archiveofourown.org/works/48402142/chapters/141954985
There is something deeply disturbing about Izuku Midoriya. This is something Katsuki has noticed since he was small how the other seemed wrong and with a mothers whose very existence oozed misery. It just unfortunate that he ended up being the target of the other's attention and he learns those eyes belong to something that truly doesn't see him. Yet the whole world seemed to bend to his whim. He refuses to show his fear. He isn't afraid, he's going to become a hero. ...But doesn't mean the other won't teach him what true fear is. Even if all Izuku wish is they could be friends once again.
And here's the second commission from @zoopzopp Lish~! A scene where a little 'incident' happens and we get a taste of the Cosmic horror.
He's just coming to say hi, but then no one wish to be greeted by a being who sees you as nothing more then a insect...

Once there are enough votes, the Sun Pearls move into the formulation stage (with my input) and will eventually be sold on . Editors NotesThis hoodie features a graphic print of June 2019 Playmate, Yoli Lara, in the style of a lithograph. Well now you can vote for my idea to come to life! (One vote per email.) This hoodie features a graphic print of June 2019 Playmate, Yoli Lara, in the style of a lithograph. (Yep, I resorted to using a 1/4-tsp measuring spoon at one point.) No guesswork and no measuring spoon required. I dreamed of sunscreen that came pre-measured and perfectly portioned in capsules to make it easy to apply just the right amount. But one question always nagged at me: how do I know whether I’ve applied enough to get the actual level of SPF advertised on the bottle? Maybe you picked that up when I reviewed 12 Japanese ones in a megapost (all SPF 50+ and PA++++ of course). And both of us named this one of our 2016 furvorites.Ĭontinue reading “Worth It? (I *wish* we got commission for all the people we’ve converted.) I’m just obsessed with it because IT WORKS and IT’S EASY. This post will sound like a paid ad for Voloom ( “Turn the volume up to 11!!”), but it’s not. Of the three versions/sizes of Voloom, my fave is still Voloom Petite. It’s too subtle without getting any closer to roots, so it just ended up taking longer to achieve the same amount of volume. 2019 UPDATE: I’ve since bought and tried the Rootie version as well. And yes, I paid for both the original and petite versions. If I lost this $130 tool, I’d immediately order a new one. But as someone with straight and slippery hair that could barely be teased after 15 mins of backcombing and hair spraying by a wedding hairdresser, that’s the truth. “I’m grateful that industries now are more inclusive regarding race, shape, color, and gender,” she says.I don’t say that lightly.

has your hunter fought with an odogaron?
Nope, never!
Odogaron are native to the New World only, and Yoli has never set foot there. She does know what an Odogaron is, however: she has a basic idea of New World happenings from reading Commission field reports. So she’s seen sketches and read a preliminary analysis of its ecology along with other New World monsters.
(How is she privy to this information? Yoli isn’t the only one esteemed in the eyes of the Guild among her Caravan colleagues—the Fleet Commander of Astera has met and even goes so far as to quote her boss the Caravaneer! Guildmarm was pretty thrilled to get her hands on the Fifth’s monster reports after he pulled a couple strings, and Yoli read over her shoulder for the most part.)
Though she declined the invitation to become an A-Lister with the Fifth, Yoli would love to try her hand at hunting an Odogaron or any of the New World’s other unique monsters should circumstances allow! It’s not just facing a fanged wyvern other than Zinogre that sounds like a unique challenge—the ecosystem of the Coral Highlands and Rotten Vale where the beasts live also fascinates her.
Yoli has been to a Wyvern’s End before, but it’s a vastly different environment. Nakarkos make their lairs in tidepools where the seaborne bones of dead monsters accumulate on ocean currents. Odogaron’s habitat range is a far stranger concept: a massive reef of land coral, and the graveyard below that nourishes it where old and sick monsters instinctively gather to die.

We have finally reached the end of Shouto's arc and what does it all mean in the end. Do come to the story and witness the end of an arc of Eldritch and supernaturals.
But it isn't the end of the story, after all, what is time to beings that live forever?

Prologue
His room was dark. It had been for some time now, as if he were put out of commission, as if it were time for sleep. It wasn’t though, it was time for screaming. There was no time in which it wasn’t time for screaming. It came from his neighbors, the men in the unifroms, and from himself, all in different ways. He hadn’t screamed that day. He hadn’t screamed since he was last in the light. He doubted he’d ever see so much light though.
He wasn’t bleeding anymore. That was good. He couldn’t feel his eye socket anymore, nor the skin around it, or his left arm, or parts of his chest, or his right leg, aside from a pulling ache that turned into a forest fire if he ever tried to move. He didn’t know if it was hours or days. He didn’t know what time was.
He was certain that he was gangrenous in places, if he was able to look.
He was certain that he could not move. He hadn’t tried since he’d heard the loud snap as agony burst in his wrist, trying to break through the handcuffs.
He was glad, in a way, that he couldn’t feel the pain anymore, that the men in their uniforms weren’t there, but that he could still hear the others. They hadn’t put him in solitary. He didn’t want to go into solitary. He’d heard about how bad solitary could be.
He saw some of the guards running through the hall, on the other side of the small window. They were screaming as much as the others were, but out of panic and rage instead of pain and horror. He’d learned some of their names.
He couldn’t remember their names. He couldn’t remember much of anything. He remembered some of what they’d done to him, but not all of it. He couldn’t remember why they wanted him, or the name of the man in room next to his, or what he was doing when they took him. He barely remembered his own name. It would have been a blessing if they were interrogating him, but he didn’t remember if they’d asked him any questions.
The lights turned on. His door was flung open and he was blinded as the lights of heaven shot through him. The brightness was too much for him, the vision of an angel too bright for his filthy eye. The entire cell was a miasma of pain, his brain shattering as if throughts were daggers and they had all vacated at once.
The angel fluttered to his side, he could hear her breathing, as if she were mortal, could smell the roses and ozone on her, amidst the blood and piss and bile. He was dead, he had to be. He was dead and an angel was there to guide him to an afterlife he’d never believed in.
Her hands were on his cheeks, his jaw, and she was cooing, fingers warm and gentle as they traveled down to his throat to feel for a pulse.
“Yoli?” she asked, her voice soft, desperate.
He opened his eye, finding her as perfect as she must have been, her hair spun gold, light in rays around her to form her wings, eyes large and blue, and on him with such care. He was not her Yoli, but his lips were caked in blood and his throat was full of sand and there was no one that he wanted to be more than this Yoli.
She turned from him, looked back to the door, and he could see the feathers embroidered on the back of her white leather jacket, as bright a gold as her hair. She pushed up from her knees went to his back, and undid the cuffs. Electrical shocks ran up his nerves, from his wrist through his arm, through all of the shards of his broken bones and there was nothing he could do to stop the pitiful sounds in his throat.
She let him rest his head on her shoulder as she looked over the damage, running her fingers over the stubble, where they had shaved him, shame on top of pain.
“You were so brave, my Yoli, so strong,” she crooned, “it’s over now, I’ve come to take you home.”
She had the wrong man. She had the wrong man. He couldn’t tell her. He didn’t know where her home was. Her eyes were on his destroyed leg, on his unusable arm, on the mess of his face. She was everything that was perfect, down the blood spatter on her jacket. She was his salvation. She was his way out of there.
And he? He was her Yoli.

A visit to CAVAglass on 7th Street
Photos and interview by Stacie Joy
I recently got a chance to meet with artist Joseph Cavalieri of CAVAglass at his workspace on Seventh Street near Avenue C to learn more about working with glass and see some of his current pieces as well as a work in progress.
How did CAVAglass come to be? I chose CAVAglass as the name of my business basically because no one can spell my last name correctly! Seriously, I wanted a short and memorable business name that relates to my glass work and Italian roots.
CAVAglass is a stained-glass studio in my home in the East Village where I create hand-painted works, mainly for commissions and for upcoming exhibitions. I get to travel to teach weeklong painting on glass workshops around the country, and sometimes in Europe if I get lucky. I have had work spaces outside of my home in the past, but I feel terribly spoiled to be able to work, live, and teach in the same space. No dealing with the subway, and I can work any hours I like.
For most of my professional career before working with glass, I worked as an art director for magazines here in New York City. I spent about six years each at GQ, People and Good Housekeeping. It was a fun career, with great and creative people as well as lots of challenges and rewards. Around 2000 I studied at UrbanGlass in Brooklyn, and in 2010 left my full-time publishing job to open CAVAglass.
What made you chose the East Village to live and work in? How does the neighborhood affect your work? My family goes way back in this neighborhood. In the 1920s, my grandfather lived on 11th Street, the same block as Veniero's. He met and married my grandmother, who lived on Spring Street and Lafayette, in Little Italy, and moved to the Bronx and then up to Westchester to raise a family with 13 kids.
My moving here in 1997 from Elizabeth Street in Nolita felt very natural, I think that familiarity with the neighborhood is in my DNA. It is comforting to know my last apartment was four blocks from where my grandmother lived in Little Italy, and my current home/studio is about six blocks from where my grandfather lived.
I am stimulated every time I walk out my door, finding inspirations in the mix and clash of visuals. These are a mix of personalities of my local neighbors, trashy bridge-and-tunnel girls barfing on the street (I definitely want to do a stained-glass window about them), patterns and colors, fashion and lack of fashion on the street, stickers and graffiti, architecture, and the nature in Tompkins Square Park. I also have a little roof garden so I get to see some nature one flight up, when I need a break from my work.
What are some of the challenges you face in working with glass as a medium? The biggest and most important challenge with each work is to have the finished work tell the story I have inside my head when I first design it, but isn't that true with every artist? The difference with my art is I paint on the glass with enamels that are kiln-fired onto the surface of the glass permanently. There is no going back and erasing the image.
Another challenge is to take my time when making work. The process is varied and demanding, from the hand-cutting sheets of glass, to sitting and concentrating on very detailed painting for hours, to the soldering and framing of the work. There is no instant gratification here, and I love the challenge of focusing on my vision.
The work you’ve shown me seems to have intertwined themes of consumerism, sin, and fables, and feature recognizable icons from "The Simpsons," R. Crumb’s work, the TV show "Bewitched," and "Alice in Wonderland." How have these cultural touchstones inspired you and what drew you to them? I like surprising myself with nontraditional, sometimes humorous images in stained glass: it totally keeps me sane. "The Simpsons," "Alice in Wonderland" and Endora are put on a higher level when made of glass and lighted from behind. This effect once was only seen in stained glass windows in churches. My work is wall-hung with LED lighting, so you can experience this radiant effect privately and personally outside of the church.
Cavalieri is currently showing art at Dixon Place on the Lower East Side. His work will be featured in an exhibition on consumerism at the Pittsburgh Glass Center that opens March 1. Details on upcoming shows and some of his permanent art, including an MTA Arts for Transit project, can be found here.

I MADE FAN FICTION FOR A FAN FICTION GUYS THATS WHAT I’M DOING THESE DAYS
So basically one of my besties has this fic called The Balance of the Universe about her oc Mara Tremblay becoming a paladin of Voltron and she’s originally inserted into the story as “an amateur archaeologist who was roped into helping her childhood friend Keith investigate mysterious caves in the middle of the desert.” There relationship as kids will probably only be briefly mentioned since the fic follows the timeline of the show but MY BRAIN WENT AHEAD AND CREATED HEADCANNONS FOR ALL THE YEARS WE’LL NEVER SEE
So here is Keith and Mara, 5 and 9 respectively getting a picture taken at the little ranch Keith calls home. Keith doesn’t like pictures.
PS I have emergency commissions open rn check it out please, I’m begging you
