Yogu Yogu is not a froyo shop. It’s a yogurt café that serves yogurt drinks, fruit teas, smoothies, and coffee. Order and pay at the kiosk. They’ll call you when your order is ready. It reminds me of Yomie’s Rice x Yogurt. They do have purple rice and oats as add-ins. They do not make their own yogurt like Yomie’s.

The Yogu (comes in two sizes, a small is $6.50 and includes purple rice or oats). I chose purple rice and no additional sweetener. The yogurt drink was a bit thicker than Yomie’s but Yogu Yogu gives you a lot less purple rice and their purple rice isn’t as chewy as Yomie’s. The drink is slightly sour and slightly tangy.

The café is cute. The theme colors are white and yellow. They have small white tables and dark green velvet chairs. There’s also a wall with fake foliage, a neon sign, and a swinging basket style chair.

Online ordering available. They also have a rewards program.

Vishnu & Shiva (Harihara)

Vishnu is a mischievous yet grounded boy who loves the colour yellow, the sky and dresses. Shiva is a fierce yet innocent one who loves nature, yoga and dancing.

"SHIVUUUWUUU MY LOVE MY GOD!" Vishnu ran and jumped on Shiva, who smiled a little. He kissed Shiva's cheek and grinned "I MADE YOU A TIARA OF YOUR FAVOURITE RUDRAKSH BEADS AND SOME PRETTY FLOWERSSKSKSS"

"You know that I get content with just some belpatra and bhasm, right?"

"OK, MY BHASM BESTIE BRO!" Vishnu pouted "Keep your low maintenance rituals for your dear devotees for an easy path to reach you. But allow MEEE TO SPOIL YOU AT LEAST??! You give everyone vardaan, don't you? Give one to me also that you let me love you IN MY OWN WAYYY HEHEHEHEHE"

"Alright alright!" Shiva couldn't help but laugh a little as he placed the tiara on his head gently

"THERE NOW!!! You look so ADORABLE, my BHOLEY BABUUU UWU" Vishnu pulled Shiva's cheeks hard "Who can tell that you're a WILD YOGU? Btw do you remember the time I became Mohini and we merged-"

Shiva quickly lifted him up in bridal style, laughing nervously "Yes, I do, buddy."

Someone cleared their throat and Shiva looked up, letting out a gasp and dropping Vishnu down with a thud.

"OWWW! I-" he turned around to look too "oh-"

Parvati and Lakshmi were standing at a distance, the former clearly fuming with rage. Lakshmi shrugged and looked away, politely.

"Parvati, it is nothing like it seems-"

"That's ENOUGH, swami!"

Shiva immediately went quiet. He remembers Kaali and how he had to literally lay down in front of her to save the cosmos from getting obliterated by her wife's wrath.

"But you know it was for a purpose! Lord Ayappa was born."

Parvati sighed "I know and understand all of that.. but the way I had to literally sacrifice myself in the pyre as Sati for your honour, then get reborn as Parvati and do tapasya for CENTURIES just for you to ACCEPT me as your wife! But with bhraata Vishnu here, all he needed to do was turn into the most beautiful enchantress and you-"

Vishnu grinned nervously and looked away too.

"I'll talk to YOU TOO later, brother!" Parvati spoke to Vishnu and walked away, Shiva on her heels, chasing her.

He glared at Vishnu one last time, whispering "If the brahmaand goes up in flames with her then you shall be the one to be blamed, Jagannath!"

"No?" Vishnu could barely contain himself from giggling "YOU will be. Shiva couldn't confront and comfort his Shakti????? The most sacred couple, PARENTS OF THE UNIVERSE?"

Shiva groaned and made a dash for his wife

Lakshmi sighed again and advanced towards her husband "Why do you do this?"

Vishnu looked at her with his big, innocent bambi eyes "Me?"

Lakshmi blinked slowly "Yes." and waved her hand "I know your leelas but the world still needs to get used to it, love. You always have something up your sleeve. But really? Poor Shivashakti are the epitome of love. What have they done? Why did you trouble them??"

"Nok jhok se prem badhta hain, meri swamini!" Vishnu winked "and who knows that better than you?"

Lakshmi finally let out a laugh "You ARE impossible."

It was Vishnu's turn to blink and sigh

"Impossible to stay mad at!" Lakshmi winked back at him and he laughed with her, kissing her

Being how I am, I set up a bingo game on the nevermore discord so that we (about 11 fastpasserd who participated) could predict responses to the Nevermore episode that just became free.

About 1,000 current and former Mormons marched to the church's headquarters in Salt Lake City Friday to deliver petitions demanding an end to closed door, one-on-one interviews between youth and lay leaders where sexual questions sometimes arise.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints changed its policy this week to now allow children to bring a parent or adult with them to the interviews, but protesters said that doesn't go far enough to keep children safe.

The policy change followed recent revelations that a former prominent missionary leader was accused of sexually assaulting two women in the 1980s.

The ex-leader denies the allegations.

the mormons have a better handle on this than the papists. i think your average catholic would take it as a grievous insult if you were to suggest that a responsible adult be present during a child's induction into the priest-centered blackmail ring. i am not sure the idea would even occur, and if it did?

Q: This is a delicate question, but you are really the only one who can answer it. I am an abuse survivor, but I do not want to abandon the Catholic faith for another religion. My question is, for a survivor who has young children and has obvious difficulty with trust, can the parent be present in the confessional during the young child’s confession? I could see myself doing this until the child seemed mature enough to understand, and agree that I would be right outside the booth, and he/she would know to immediately leave and report anything inappropriate, etc. I apologize for the question, but it’s hard to ask your own parish priest this question in person. -L.

A: I am sorry to hear that you have suffered abuse in your past. You are a beloved daughter of God, and this was not part of his plan for your life. It is good, though, that you haven’t left the Catholic faith; Our Lord wants to give yogu many graces through the Church, especially the sacraments.

Your concern for your children is understandable. In regards to the sacrament of reconciliation, the best and most practical way of ensuring your children’s safety would be to find a church that has either a closed confessional with a wall and screen between priest and penitent (each being in a separate, closet-like compartment) or a confessional room with glass walls, so that you could easily see what is going on. (In some parishes, for example, the “crying room” doubles as a makeshift confessional room.)

If you want to wait nearby outside a confessional, that is fine. Frankly, it would not be a good idea to try to enter a confessional room along with a child. The child has a right to privacy when confessing sins. Moreover, it is not likely that a priest would tolerate a third party being present. The last thing we would want is to turn the sacrament into an arena of conflict. And that wouldn’t help your children.

If your parish is the only practical option for confession, and you aren’t comfortable with the arrangements in the church (say, if it only has enclosed confessional rooms), then perhaps you could ask the pastor for a different venue. Perhaps a kneeler and screen could be set up in a visible area (such as the sanctuary) that is out of earshot of other people.

A positive development in recent years is that clergy have been required to undergo special training in the area of abuse prevention. And there is certainly a heightened awareness within parishes and schools about the need to be on the watch for suspicious behavior and attitudes. All this can contribute to producing a culture of alertness that helps protect anyone who might be vulnerable. I hope that some of this helps. God bless.
