Jellystone! Boo Boo Bear HCs
- He was born to an Ethiopian-Muslim father and an American mother of Welsh ancestry.
- His real name is Andy Saheed-Fahreetanunk.
- He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1984 before moving to California in 1998 to attend high school.
- He was a big fan of Hip-Hop and 2-step Garage, since he would began listening to the So Solid Crew, Oxide & Neutrino, OutKast, MC Charlie Brown, DJ Pied Piper and M-Dubs.
- He began freestyling in high school before he got the opportunity to become an MC for pirate radio stations in Los Angeles which it would be his big breakout for him.
- At the time he was 16, he began MCing at Delight FM, a small local pirate radio station and a nightclub in Santa Monica, where he first met a 22 year-old Yogi.
They unfortunately began hanging out with each other despite that Boo Boo's still a teenager.
- As time goes on, he unfortunately became bigger and was featured in a few of the biggest songs in the world.
- He was starting to go worldwide until during his concert at Atlanta in July 2002 (after he graduated high school). There was a tragic shooting which ended the whole festival early (this was the time when there was a So Solid Crew shootout incident). It didn't go so well with Boo Boo when he was shot across the edge of his neck by the time he was 18. He then passed out because he was losing a lot of blood. He was then taken to the hospital. His parents were crying and the fans were completely godsmacked. But there was Yogi, who saw the incident.
- After Boo Boo woke up, Yogi then hugged him before saying that he was glad that he's still alive. His parents and his fans were surprised to see Boo Boo alive.
- Boo Boo then realised the bullet only ripped half of a millimetre of the artery of his neck, if the bullet went further more than a half, he would of been seriously dead by now.
- Boo Boo then quits his career as a Garage MC and moves into R&B and Grunge in 2003 until he went hiatus on his music career in 2019.
- He currently now works as a doctor along with Yogi and Cindy.
- Boo Boo and Yogi will ever be BFFs ever since and they kept that promise.
I would love to see a sketch of this headcanon, I think it would be jokes.
If you don't know what So Solid Crew, Oxide & Neutrino or any Garage songs, please look then up and educate yourselves by listening to their music and you will see what I am talking about.
For @majorpepperidge, @toonsforkicks22 and @jishidema.

ACITW AU one-shot “Downward Facing Doubts” (Rated M)
Summary: Kurt convinces Sebastian to join him, Olivia, Julian, and Cooper in a yoga class. 'Bribe' is actually the more accurate term. But whereas the endorphins released during exercise usually make people feel good, this time, they bring all sorts of doubts to the surface. (3760 words)
Notes: Takes place some time after 'Under the Fireworks' and references 'I Was Praying for You and Me'.
Part of ACITW AU extended verse
Read on AO3.
“Extend your arms out to your sides, then raise them over your head …” Yogi Cecile instructs, her soothing alto voice threading through the airy music playing over circular speakers scattered in Feng Shui formation throughout the studio. “Bend your back gently into a crescent moon …”
Sebastian breathes in sharply as he attempts the move, his shoulders quaking involuntarily as he tries to deepen the stretch. He finds his balance point, quite by surprise, then fights to hold it, difficult since his focus keeps drifting, his eyes darting to the side to check out the competition. He scowls, not thrilled at being one-upped by Julian who, infuriatingly, performs the move like an expert. But of course he would, Sebastian thinks with a bitter roll of his eyes, one that gives him a major headache with his head pulled back. Didn’t he claim that he attended some month-long yoga retreat in the High Desert for the sole purpose of fellating himself?
Even if Sebastian is a bit fuzzy on the particulars, his head swimming with a mixture of dizziness and pain that’s one more deep breath away from making him puke, that definitely sounds like the kind of thing Julian would do.
Olivia and Kurt, lined up to Sebastian’s right, switch from pose to pose without breaks, extending their arms and bending their backs as if standing on one leg and staring horizontally up at the pale pink ceiling were the normal position for, say, grabbing a coffee or looking at shoes. At least Sebastian isn’t faring the worst in their group. No, that honor goes to Cooper. Capping off their row to the far left of Julian, Cooper starts losing his balance, teetering forward dangerously towards a handful of innocent strangers unaware of the 180 pound man on the brink of bowling towards them.
“How …?” Sebastian starts, talking on the crest of an inhaled breath he’s running out of as he contorts into another ludicrous pose.
“Did you let me talk you into joining a yoga class?” Kurt finishes, sliding smoothly from a crescent moon into the next forward bend. “That’s easy. You’ll do anything for a blow---”
Olivia clears her throat loudly when she spots their instructor heading their way, eyes originally glued to Sebastian’s crooked posture but hopping to Kurt’s smug grin when the word ‘blow’ sneaks past his lips.
“Straighten your spine … lean forward … brace your hands on the mat in front of you … and extend one leg back to a half downward dog.” Cecile circles their quintet twice and Kurt thinks she’s about to scold them. They haven’t been properly engaged since the start of class. But then she hurries off to help another young lady square her hips.
“I refuse to believe that I’m that simple-minded,” Sebastian grouses, working on stabilizing his own hips before he extends his leg. He dips to the side but manages to catch himself. Cooper isn’t quite as lucky, careening forward like a downed Cessna and smacking the bridge of his nose on his cork yoga block. He drops to his knees, shaking his head to clear the stars out from behind his eyes. Julian falls out of formation to give him a hand up and helps him restore his stance.
“Well, I promised you that bj for after this class and you’re still here,” Kurt says, lips curling into the shadow of a smirk. “You draw your own conclusions.”
“You draw your own conclusions …” Sebastian mimics. He wobbles once. Then twice. He sucks in his stomach to save himself without locking his knees (since Cecile told them at the start of class that locking their knees was bad). But his foot rolls and he’s forced to put the other down to support himself. He tries again … and again … but Sebastian doesn’t successfully execute the move before they’re changing positions.
Kurt rotates up on one leg and transitions into a picture perfect tree pose. He opens an eyelid and peeks at Sebastian, taking in a deep breath through his nose and schooling his face into a mask of meditation so he doesn’t laugh out loud and disrupt the class more than Sebastian’s fumbling through the stances already has.
“Maybe it’s because … mmph … I’m so tall … grrr … that I’m not getting it,” Sebastian offers, stuttering upright in stages, ending in a slumped, unsteady tree.
Kurt turns his head left and looks at Sebastian directly beside him, meeting him eye-to-eye. He arches an eyebrow.
Sebastian pulls an undignified face.
“Sometimes …” their yoga instructor says as she makes the rounds, correcting the posture of the needier students. She has already been to help Sebastian five times during this one-hour lesson, and Cooper too many times for Kurt to count. She flashes Julian an impressed smile and a nod. He winks at her in response “… it is not the balance outside that is needed, but inside.” She puts a hand to Sebastian’s back and one to his stomach, pushing together to force him straight. “The anxiety in your life, the stress, the regrets of your past - they settle in your core.” She pats Sebastian on the stomach. Removing her hand causes his belly to stick back out a hair, and he sways dangerously in Kurt’s direction. Cecile shakes her head and sets Sebastian straight again. “Negative influences roll around and throw you out-of-whack. But yoga and meditation will set you right again.” She stands back and appraises the two men standing side by side, so similar in appearance but obviously a couple with the way they’ve been playfully bickering, and gives them a smile. Then she continues on her way.
“Doesn’t that sound familiar?” Kurt says with a fond grin.
“Yeah.” Sebastian grunts. “Why is it we’re forever getting life advice from graduates of The Learning Annex?”
Both Kurt and Olivia scoff.
“Not that there’s anything wrong with The Learning Annex, but I will have you know that Cecile is an expert in her field!” Olivia says.
“An expert in standing on one foot and stretching her arms over her head? Excuse me if I’m not all that impressed.”
“You should be,” Julian intervenes. “You can’t do it.”
“Maybe I don’t want to do it!”
“Boys, boys,” Olivia whispers when heads turn their way. “Let’s keep it down to a dull roar, please. And remember to breathe.”
“You’re absolutely right,” Kurt says, making a big show of following her lead, breathing in through his nose and then out through his mouth. “We’re here to meditate. Relax. Realign our chakras.”
“Someone’s going to have to realign poor Cooper’s spine by the time we’re done,” Olivia remarks, a giggle hidden in her voice. With Kurt’s eyelids shut and Cooper two whole people away, Kurt doesn’t see what the man is doing, but immediately after Olivia’s comment, he hears Cooper apologize profusely.
“I’m sorry, ma’am. I’m so sorry. I really … yes, sir. I’m sorry. Oh, r-really? That’s very kind of you. Slash savings, yup. I can sign that for you, if you’d like …”
Kurt bites his tongue behind his teeth. Good old Cooper, still able to get some mileage out of that FreeCreditRatingToday gig.
It’s nice to know some things never change.
“For your information, I regret nothing,” Sebastian whisper-hisses after a pause, his body cramping as he tries to maintain his corrected tree pose.
Kurt sighs.
Yup. Some things never change. And some things rise up from the grave from time to time to haunt you, like Hamlet’s father, only with swoopier bangs, wearing basketball shorts and a Tommy Hilfiger v-neck.
“Ah, you protest too much, Sebby,” Julian murmurs, remaining purposefully vague as this is definitely not the time nor place to drudge up old angst. He leaves things there, snapping back into an impeccable tree pose after helping Coop up off the floor again.
“Besides …” Sebastian side-steps his brother to finish making his point “… if that’s the case, then you should mondo-suck at this, Kurt! I mean, let’s take a look at your past, shall we? The year of tragic style choices, dating Blaine, choosing New Directions and that lame ass public school over Dalton and the Warblers … whoa!” Sebastian drops his hip and his shoulder during his rant, causing him to rock to the outside edge of his foot. He barely keeps himself from twisting an ankle and going straight down. “Your life must be chock full of regrets!”
“Uh … let’s not forget that one of those past life decisions was agreeing to date you, little brother,” Julian steps in, jumping swiftly to Kurt’s defense.
Sebastian may have retorted with something along the lines of, “That’s the only intelligent decision he made,” but Kurt doesn’t know for certain. He shuts up like a clam - locks his teeth together and blocks Sebastian and his infernal whining out. He inhales long and zeroes in on the music - the gentle plucking of strings, the tinkling of bells, the flutes holding sustained notes, giving the class an anchor with which to control their breathing. There he remains, floating in the cradle of dark behind his eyelids. A bigger man rises above petty retorts, Kurt can hear his father say, concentrating on repairing his own withering tree pose. He simply needs to be the bigger man.
If he reacts thoughtlessly, does something rash, he might regret it.
Sebastian is simply having a bad day.
They don’t have days like this very often. This is just … well, one of those days. And Kurt is willing to let it go, let it pass like the rhythmic breaths through his lips. But Sebastian broke a cardinal rule.
He mentioned Blaine, which they both swore on the threat of blue balls that neither one of them would do. Especially in anger.
Kurt can only assume Sebastian is uncomfortable here. Sebastian doesn’t like not being the best at everything from go, which is probably why he’s bearing claws and teeth right now. It reminds Kurt of their days taking dance lessons - the two of them butting heads, fighting to lead when it didn’t really need to be one or the other.
It could have been both, paving a single fluid path had they come to a consensus from the start.
But here, they stand on their own two feet - or one foot at the moment, with their hands above their heads. They sink or swim on their own. Cecile calling Sebastian out more than likely didn’t help matters any. No one likes to be the center of attention when they’re flailing. Kurt feels guilty about that, that he’s not closer to Sebastian, reaching out a hand to help him the way Julian is for Cooper.
Kurt opens an eyelid and peeks over. He sees Sebastian, the man he loves, struggling, fighting to regain balance. A balance that Kurt has in spades. A balance that Kurt would be more than willing to help him with, lend him some of.
Suddenly, Sebastian mutters something uncomplimentary under his breath, and Kurt feels less than willing.
He actually considers reaching over and giving Sebastian a push. One swat would send him toppling backward. Kurt has seen Sebastian fall on his ass plenty.
It would be hilarious.
But he can’t do it.
And not because Sebastian might take half a dozen other students with him when he goes, but because after a little quiet contemplation, Kurt realizes that Sebastian may not be lashing out because he can’t do yoga.
The thought that he wouldn’t be as good at this as he is at everything else is preposterous. He’s an exceptional athlete and a graceful dancer. Yoga shouldn’t be that great a hardship for him.
Sebastian may be lashing out because he feels backed into a corner. This has happened before - several times, as a matter of fact, and with Kurt. Sebastian starts to feel trapped, forgets himself, and comes out barrels blazing, shooting first and asking questions later. But what about? What could he possibly feel trapped about?
It comes to Kurt with a single, subtle movement - something he’s started doing recently. Something that had never been a habit of Kurt’s before.
Rolling his engagement ring on his finger.
The ring is a fairly recent accessory, given to him in fairy tale fashion underneath Fourth of July fireworks with everyone he loves present at the picturesque Smythe estate. But their journey to this point has been a bumpy one. There have been fights, misunderstandings, crossroads, a break up. But here they are, together, standing tall …
Another glance in Sebastian’s direction proves that’s not entirely true. He stumbles backward … then forward … then backward again, like he’s performing a clumsy two-step on the deck of a listing ship without a partner.
Could this ring on Kurt’s finger be the reason? Could it be one of Sebastian’s regrets? Could he be re-thinking the whole thing?
As ridiculous as that may sound, it has crossed Kurt’s mind once or twice before. Nothing bad has happened between them since that night - no devastating fights, nothing that would threaten their overall happiness. Even Julian has kept his shameless flirting to a minimum. But Kurt has abandonment issues. Severe ones.
They run deep.
To his defense, Kurt did consult an expert about his feelings.
He’d asked Olivia her opinion on the subject.
She’s privy to the grim details of his backstory, of course, so he can be as dramatic as he wants around her without sounding like a self-serving ninny. She’d waited patiently for him to finish, smiled warmly, and said, “Kurt, Sebastian loves you. More than he’s ever loved anything in his whole life. Loves you more than he’s ever loved himself.”
“How do you know?”
“How do you not know?” she’d replied with that faint roll of her eyes that the Smythe siblings seem to share. “I know my brother. And even if, for some reason, he didn’t love you as much as I know he does, we do. The whole family.”
“So you’d keep in touch if anything went south between us?” Kurt had never thought to ask. The Smythes were such a loyal family, he feared the answer would be no. But they’d already invited him into their home once before after he and Sebastian split up - that Christmas when Kurt’s father ended up in the hospital. The Smythes let him spend the holidays with them, supported him throughout that entire ordeal. Luck seemed to be on his side that year. His father came out of the hospital unscathed when Kurt feared to the depths of his soul that he wouldn’t.
How long could his good fortune hold out, especially if he were the reason they split up again?
“You’re one of us, Kurt,” she’d assured him. “Part of the clan. And we don’t ditch clan members, no matter what their transgressions. Besides …” She stirred creamer into her coffee with the biggest, twisted grin on her face “… Julian would marry you.”
Kurt choked on his mocha. “What?”
“You, him, and Cooper would become a thruple. We’ve discussed it … at length.”
“You what!?”
“Take you as a lover was the way he put it. I have to admit, that has a lovely Victorian ring to it. You’re a hopeless romantic, aren’t you?”
Kurt laughs to himself remembering the look on Olivia’s face as he spilled his drink and she snorted her coffee.
Sebastian must feel Kurt’s eyes on him because he turns his face to Kurt, red-cheeked, frustrated to the point of angry tears. Kurt feels his heart wrench, tightening into a knot of pure sorrow.
Why now though? What could have happened that Kurt didn’t see coming? And why would Sebastian bring up Blaine?
There was a time long ago when Kurt thought he couldn’t live without Blaine and a ring on his finger. That’s far from true. He can more than stand on his own. Ironically, it took dating Sebastian to remind himself of that. Probably because when you’re with someone who supports you selflessly, who only wants the best for you, it brings out the best in you.
“Kurt …” Sebastian whimpers. It’s pained - a pain Kurt feels pinging around his chest.
“Sebastian …” Kurt mouths back, voice unavailable past the ache.
Kurt could live without Sebastian. He could. But he doesn’t want to if he can help it.
Standing here, staring into Sebastian’s eyes, feels like falling in love with him all over again, even if Sebastian is planning on leaving him.
But Kurt isn’t falling.
Sebastian is, coming his way and fast.
“Kurt … help me, Kurt!”
“Sebastian!” Kurt yelps.
Unable to decide whether he should try to catch his boyfriend or get out of the way, he does neither, taking Sebastian’s weight full force in the chest. Reflexively, he wraps his arms around Sebastian instead of dodging for his own safety. He lands flat on his back with a spine-bruising crack! but that’s not where it ends. Unable to stop his momentum in time, Sebastian lands on top of Kurt, checking him in the nose with his shoulder so hard, Kurt almost blacks out.
“Kurt!” Olivia yells, racing to his side. “Sebastian, get off of him! Oh my God! Kurt!”
“Sebby!” Julian barks, yanking Sebastian to his feet, completely unconcerned with any injuries of his brother’s and staring at Kurt with wide, bugged-out eyes. “You killed Kurt!”
“I didn’t kill him!”
“Doesn’t matter! I’m calling mom!”
“Call an ambulance first, you dunderhead!”
Cooper pushes through the crowd to hand Julian his phone. “He’s bleeding!” he points out, voice thick with concern, then shaking like a leaf when he adds, “a lot. I … I don’t like …” Another heavy thud vibrates the wood floor as Cooper disappears from view.
“Jesus Christmas …” Olivia mumbles. “Men.”
“Tell me about it,” Kurt grumbles.
“Kurt!” Sebastian takes Kurt’s hands carefully in his while Cecile leans in low to examine Kurt’s face. She tsks.
“Sit tight, hun. I’m going to get you some ice.”
“Paramedics are on the way,” Julian informs them as he kneels down to tend to an unconscious Cooper. “I told them to send an ambulance built for two.”
“Are you okay?” Sebastian rushes, looking Kurt over closely, doing an examination of his own. “What hurts? Can you hear me? Speak to me!?”
“How can I?” Kurt moans, content after that to never speak again for as long as he lives. It wouldn’t be too bad. He could learn ASL. He’s always wanted to. He nearly guffaws out loud when the thought he can take a Learning Annex course springs to his brain. “You won’t shut up long enough to let me!”
“I’m sorry, Kurt. I’m … I’m sorry,” Sebastian babbles. “I didn’t mean to ...”
“You do have regrets, don’t you?” Kurt asks, sadly shaking his head. Or trying to. He budges it a centimeter. It screams at him to stop!
Sebastian’s brow furrows. “What the---? Everyone has regrets, Kurt.”
“What are yours?”
“What? I …” Sebastian’s chest shudders, closer to tears than Kurt had previously realized. “That you’re right. That you’re always right.”
Kurt frowns. “Gee. Thanks.”
“I am simple minded. I didn’t want to do this. I knew I wouldn’t be any good at it. And that’s not an opinion. It’s a fact. I went to gymnastics camp as a kid, so I know my limits.”
“You did?” Kurt says, stunned out of remembering he’s in a blistering amount of pain.
“That’s right!” Olivia gasps, pleased as punch that she has another embarrassing story to tell Kurt about his soon-to-be-husband. “How did I forget about Sebastian in that purple unitard!?”
“A story for another time,” Sebastian dismisses forcefully through clenched teeth.
“All right, all right,” Olivia says, pulling out her phone, checking to see if she has any pictures of that event uploaded to her gallery, giving Kurt and Sebastian privacy (figuratively) for the moment.
“The point is,” Sebastian continues, “I should have told you from the beginning that I couldn’t do this.”
You did, Kurt thinks with a pang of regret that eclipses the throbbing in his nose. You did, and I convinced you to come anyway. “So … what about us?”
Sebastian’s face crumbles imperceptibly, as if, with those four words, he’s expecting the worse. “Wh-what about us?”
“Do you have regrets about us?”
“What?” Moss-green eyes pop open so fast, Kurt swears he hears them, like the foley on an anime. “No! What makes you think that?”
“Well, you fell. And Cecile said …”
“Kurt! I fell because I have no balance to speak of! I can’t do yoga. At all, as it turns out. This isn’t The Fault in Our fucking Stars, babe! Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, not a metaphor.” He leans down to kiss the knuckles of Kurt’s hand trapped between his. “I don’t have any regrets about us. I swear I don’t.”
Kurt closes his eyes, the left swelling rapidly, skin turning an alarmingly vivid shade of aubergine. A tear slips from the corner and down his cheek. It’s hot, and everything it touches stings.
Sebastian swallows hard and asks a question he’s wondered about hundreds of times, a question he keeps finding himself asking, never settling in comfortably with the answer. Which is always the same, no matter what.
“Do … do you have any regrets?”
Kurt sniffles before he answers. “Recently?”
Okay, well, maybe not the same this time.
“I guess …”
“Only one.”
“Does it have something to do with me?”
“Yes, but only a teeny bit.”
“And what’s that?” Sebastian asks, holding his breath immediately after, readying himself for whatever barb Kurt chooses to throw.
“That we’re never going to be able to come to this studio again.” Kurt smiles weakly, wincing when he scrunches his nose and pain shoots straight up the bridge to his brain. “And I think you broke my nose.”
Sebastian kisses Kurt’s hand, sputtering a half-laugh/half-cry of relief. “It matches your black eye.”
Kurt fixes his good eye on Sebastian and grimaces - the safest expression of displeasure he can make with his face on the brink of exploding.
“No worries, love,” Julian pipes in, saving Sebastian as tears finally start to fall. “The crooked nose thing isn’t quite in anymore, but I can see you bringing it back. You wear it well.”
“Fuck you both very much,” Kurt mutters.
Julian winks, stepping aside as paramedics rush in. “Promises, promises.”

Music Website Genius Faces Uphill Battle in Case Against Google and Lyricfind
Lyricfind and Google are being sued by popular music lyric website Genius for anti- competitive practices and breach of contract. The issue came to the forefront when Genius informed the Wall Street Journal that it had sufficient evidence to prove that lyrics were copied from their website. Genius had cleverly watermarked the lyrics by a certain pattern of apostrophes which showed up on Google’s information panel confirming the suspicions of the website. Restitution claimed was in the amount of 50 million dollars. Although the site has sufficient evidence, it faces an uphill battle as the website is not the true owner of the lyrics either.
The ownership still lies with the various music artists. While Google claims that the lyrics are obtained directly from the Artists and not from scraping other sites, Lyricfind does obtain lyrics from other sites on the web and thus brings to light the possibility that it may have unknowingly copied the lyrics from the site. The Music website can bring suits for Breach of Terms of Service for copying lyrics directly from the site without the permission of the site.
Jay-Z Files Copyright Infringement Suit Against Publisher
The rap and hip-hop mogul, Jay-Z, is bringing a case against the authors of the Book A-B to Jay-Z written by Jessica Chiha and published by her Company, the Little Homie. The billionaire businessman complained that the Book used his name, likeness and references to ’99 Problems’ in the Book and other Little Homie products to deliberately trade on reputation and goodwill of the celebrity to avail commercial advantage. Jay-Z’s lawyers had sent many cease and desist letters to the Company. It further goes on to allege that Company had made false and misleading representations that Jay-Z was affiliated to the book and approved the use of his name. The Little Homie seemed distraught but were going to fight the case expressing their dissatisfaction in having to be involved in a legal battle with a musician the adore and respect.
Spotify Faces Multiple Lawsuits for Infringement and Deceptive Trade Practices
In August, Eminem Publisher, Eight Mile Style filed the initial Multi-billion Dollar lawsuit against Spotify. The suit in question raised issues on the provisions of the Music Modernization Act which had retroactively absolved Spotify from previous non payment of royalties and copyright infringement. The provisions that denied the right of the plaintiffs to receive profits attributable to their music was contested to be an unconstitutional denial of due process and unconstitutional taking of vested property.
Now, another suit filed by PRO Music Rights and Sosa Entertainment alleges that Spotify has failed in making payments for over 550,000,000 music streams, which mainly stems from a contested removal of contest that began in May 2017. It was alleged that Spotify had removed the plaintiff’s content without warning, reason or any chance to redress the concerns for removing the plaintiff’s content. Spotify had allegedly failed to adhere to rules, policies and obligations to which Spotify holds itself out in Public.
Photographer Sues Pinterest for Intellectual Property Violations
Harold Davis, the photographer is alleging that the Digital Pin Board site in its functioning itself promotes copyright infringement, allowing users to pin images from all over the world onto their virtual pin-boards. This according to Davis is resulting in a wholesale and unauthorized copying of images. He further goes on to state that he had found ten of his photographs he had uploaded on Flickr, on Pinterest without his permission.
He further alleges that Pinterest attaches his pictures in emails sent to users without his prior permission. He further went on to question the protection that Pinterest received under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and its safe harbour provisions. This is not the first time that photographers have gone after Pinterest, as it faced a similar suit from Christopher Boffoli in the year 2014.
Netflix faces copyright infringement suit in light of Bikram: Yogi, Guru, Predator
Ghosh’s college, Kolkata, India is claiming that the footage and photographs used in the documentary is actually theirs and demand for its immediate removal. When the production team had initially reached out to Ida Jo, the Ambassador for Ghosh’s Yoga college, she relayed the information to the Ghosh’s Family who had stated their intention to not be a part of the production.
Furthermore, it was stated that Netflix needed explicit permission for the use of the Videos and photographs in question and have blatantly ignored this while infringing upon the Copyright of the family. The production team appropriated more than just photos and videos, which included narratives and research that they originally encountered in Kolkata for the basis of their historical depiction. There has been no attribution or acknowledgment to the Kolkata Yoga. When Metro.co.uk approached Netflix in regard to this matter they refused to comment on the same.
Bajirao’s Descendent Files Suit Against Panipat
Nawabzada Shadab Ali Bahadur, who happens to be the eighth-generation descendant of Peshwa Bajirao, has objected to a dialogue mouthed by Kriti in the trailer of the film. The translation states that whenever a Peshwa goes to battle he returns with a Mastani. The descendant felt that this was inappropriate and was disrespectful to the Peshwa, but also paints Sahiba Mastani in a bad light, as she was not a random woman but his wife. Shadab has apparently sent a legal notice to the filmmaker for the removal of the dialogue in question and is ready to move to the Courts for remedy of the same if he does not receive a response.
Legal Notice Sent to Censor Board and Filmmakers of Mardaani 2
The story of the film revolves around a fearless policewoman who seeks to catch a serial rapist and murderer. It is also alleged in the movie that this is based on true events, however, there was no known existence of such a character in the city of Kota. As it was felt to be maligning the city and its reputation at a time when it is booming with countless students coming for education, it felt that it would act as a detriment to this end. It was stated that if the name of the city was not removed, then the screenings would be blocked and the matter would be taken to the High Court to remedy the situation. It was feared that students would stop coming to study in Kota because of this movie which says its based on true events when in actuality no such killer existed in the city.
The Issue has mainly been raised by the Local Corporator of Kota, and legal notices have been sent to the Censor Board, Aditya Chopra, the producer, the Director, Gopi Puthran and the broadcasting ministry to remove the name of the city ‘Kota’ from the film.

MD6311 Major Project Evaluation
Background, Concept and Ideas
At the beginning of third year Ben and I came into this project with the intention of making a 13 track semi conceptual album based around seasons, having three songs for each season starting in Autumn ending in Summer. The hope was that it would propel ‘Two to a Room’ from an unknown name into exciting duo, the songs naturally being influenced by the music we listen to. 9 months later we’ve created a 12 track conceptual alternative hip hop album based around the same thing we originally intended, released 3 singles with 3 music videos, have a combined total of of just over 4000 steams on Spotify as well as an active following on Instagram.
Hip hop is traditionally known as a raw and honest genre of music, many artists have detailed the entirety of their life experiences onto their music in a very purposeful way. We have taken hip hop and altered it so that it applies and relates to the experience of uni students. It gives a voice to the people who are struggling during this period of life where everything seems a bit uncertain.
Some of our influences include:
Cosmo
King Krule
Loyle Carner
Rejjie Snow
JJ
Easy Life
Bakar
Many a time we’d find ourselves listening to one of their songs and being inspired by the way they’d mixed a bass line or how they added interesting/unique sounds and sections. We’re probably on the whole most similar to Bakar, however we bring our own style.
Audiences and Markets
Before deciding an audience and an artist identity we simply began playing and making music. We had a general basis as a band, having played a couple of shows under the same name in first year. Two to a Room somewhat subsided second year giving us a completely fresh start in third year, new music, new social media pages and a new image. We created personable tracks some light and some dark sounding, both instrumentally and lyrically quite downtrodden. While creating the album this helped us realise our sound, we were making the music of and relating to University students, depressed, drinking, smoking and in search for some sort of love and placeholder in this world. We continuously found ourselves adding Trippy elements to our music creating a stoner induced drug fuelled aesthetic.
The album is aimed at 16 to 24 year olds, teens and young adult transitioning into adulthood and the working world, getting by smoking spliffs and drinking a lot. For this reason we decided it would be best to push everything onto every streaming platforms though ‘distrokid’, an independent digital music distribution service. Through stats on (https://www.ifpi.org/news/IFPI-releases-2018-music-consumer-insight-report) I found that 86% of us listen to music through on-demand streaming. Young music consumers are most engaged streamers, with 57% of 16-24 year olds using a paid audio streaming service. This makes it the perfect place for our audience to find our music. We intend to release 10-50 exclusive copies of our album on CD due to peoples love of exclusivity and giveaways.
Our work is best understood sat back in a comfortable environment, where you can digest every word and feeling we were attempting to portray. There are hints of what our style, vibe and thought process is throughout our Instagram and music videos. The album can be related to if you’ve ever; gone on a night out, worked a dead end job or if you’ve ever just felt a bit stuck in life, so everyone. The reason it’s aimed at uni students is because they’re most likely to feel the entirety of emotions and lifestyle that we’ve displayed on our record.
There’s definitely already songs for sad people and a community for alternative hip hop but because our music experiments with so many different sounds and genres it’s hard to pigeonhole us into one that is preexisting. However the Cheltenham’s hip hop scene is the community closest to us, diverse in the artists and sonics that it holds. We’be home from hoping to get a foot in with the Cheltenham crowd, to wanting to unite it further and push it forward, there’s a lot of talent here.
Our only competition is ourselves, and that’s not the answer this evaluation requires but its the truth. If we solely see ourselves as the ones to beat and the ones to better taking influences from all sorts of places, we have no need to be in competition with anyone. I’d rather do the opposite and bring everyone so no one has competitors, just allies.
Promotional Strategies
Our journey for the public began at the start of October, our first Instagram upload being posted on the 3rd. We released a demo shortly after, mixed and mastered by ourselves to show our audience what we were about stylistically and aesthetically. For a demo it did far better than expected, accumulating close to 100 views in it’s first week, in time surpassing that. This gave us confidence to continue doing what we’d already set out to do. We kept our Instagram relatively busy, using photos taken by 1st year student Curtis, We then released our first single to all major streaming platforms mixed and mastered by Beau Peep. At the time none of this process had fully gone as we had planned, the song was released later than intended, videographers dropped out/couldn’t film for us and the B-side wasn’t mastered the desired way. In hindsight this moment was a good learning curve for future releases, we discovered the importance of planning properly and having everything set way in advance. It was also successful in how it was received, getting over 1000 listens in it’s first month.
In the time before our first and second single we wanted to keep our audiences attention so we decided to come up with a potential series idea named ‘In the Living Room’ airing our first episode on the 9th of January 2019. The idea was to do an acoustic set up, similar to The Tiny Desk concert, but in our living room. It was so that we could have a place to display the raw version of our music and potentially other artists as it’s something we’d found that a lot of music listeners enjoy hearing their favourite songs in a different setting sounding a little different.
We next turned our attentions towards Astronaut, we had the song finished and ready to release mid-January so we decided to begin a promotional campaign, doing a photoshoot a with friend of ours, third year student David Richards. We showed Ben Sanders the song, he enjoyed it and asked if he could do the visuals for it. We gladly accepted as it seemed like he was very keen, it took a few months to shoot it leaving a small amount of time to edit the video. In the meantime we uploaded several rows of promotional pictures to our Instagram building the excitement for the video. The video was eventually released in a hurry, and was still a little below the standard we were aiming for. As it was uploaded a little later than first anticipated it gave us less time to promote the album as a whole. But because we’d been promoting astronaut for so long we leaned into theme with a few more photos from another friend and third year student ‘Ryan Free’ who helped us reflect the feeling of the album being spaced out in a very concrete environment creating that juxtaposition in his photo by having us wear astronaut costumes in a fancy, old fashioned looking restaurant
We recorded the video for our third and final single a month before releasing the album so we could use it as part of the promotion cycle once the album was released. We organised for ‘drreproductions’ to shoot it for us and they agreed to get it shot in what turned out to be a very busy April. We played 2 gigs in the run up to the album launch while finishing the mastering of the album and organising both music videos. We hosted an album Launch at Smokey Joes on the 8th of May bringing in acts, photographers and videographers from uni to create a communal experience where we’re all helping each other. The laugh went very successfully, we were able to gain a profit from the night as well as a couple of new fans. At the time of writing our Instagram sits at 230 followers, the album has been streamed 3250 times
Evaluation
The album itself was successful. We released a 12 track solid body of work that will most definitely propel us into better things. There are a couple of standout tracks, Cruisn, Black Mould and Streets and Towns truly showcasing our maturity in terms of songwriting and storytelling. There were several songs that were dropped from the album and there were some last minute additions. ‘Hitting the Mark’ was one of the late attendees because we found the voice note on my phone from a few months prior while looking for vocal snippets to add to the album. Every new addition had to fit the tone of the project so it was difficult at times getting the order of tracks right, but eventually we settled on one that we both thought told our story best.
The album launch was a slightly stressful but very fun event. It took us several months to sort out, booking the venue in February but doing most of the leg work in April. We charged £2 at the door, over 60 people bought a ticket which helped us gain a profit from the night. The atmosphere was good the whole night, Toby Catt opening the evening, Beau Peep got the crowds arms moving, Real Triggz and KingOBithy brought the hype, local acts JPDL and Yogi Beats got everyone dancing and we were blessed to end the night.
In this major project we delivered what we set out to do and have surpassed it. We have the intention to continue as a duo past uni and bring this work with us. We have 2 festivals to play in the summer, the rest only the future knows.

Behind The Music with Kayt Ounce on Never Love Again
Jacqueline Jax speaks with Kayt Ounce about music, purpose and her new single 'Never Love Again'.
“Still sorting out my own life and problems which I've got lots of. I'm not ready for that kind of step-and relationships can really only go one of two ways, y'all ether eventually break up or get married- well if you're not ready to marry why try to love at all. “

Band Name: Kayt Ounce Kaitertot KaytG Kait the Great
Song name: Never Love Again
Music Genre:: R&b, hiphop, I guess you can say.
I live in... : Washington! So green, so greatful. Pnw vibes for sure.
Link to play:: https://youtu.be/KoigaXBDnuI
This song is about well, love obviously. Love that I wasn't ready for. Still sorting out my own life and problems which I've got lots of. Hints to the lyrics; you know that I'm unsteady, my life is way too fuckin messy. I really didn't need to add that to the mix. And honestly, if I'm not ready for that kind of step-and relationships can really only go one of two ways, y'all ether eventually break up or get married- well if you're not ready to marry why try to love at all. Hints the name Never Love Again. But that's exaggerated, probably just the next 5, 6, maybe 7 years. Haha 😄💔🤘
I'd describe my music… like r&b, hip-hop, mainstream-ish and catchy. What I'm tryna do with my voice is to promote positivity and love, and awareness of the power of our minds, manifestation, believing in yourself and so on. I'm a motivational/inspirational lyricist. I want to inspire and motivate others !! I feel like artists are major influencers and we need more of them who use the platform they have to influence their audience, the next generation, in shit that actually matters. What drives me and inspires me to make music is the fact it's what I love doing most. It's the one thing I truly never get tired of and I love writing everything down. It's how I get through and over things. So to take what I'm going through and not just write about it, but create a project I can share with others that people can feel and relate too... Now that's magic. Music is my expression. My all-time favorite way of expressing myself. Music is what made me and it was also the very thing to save me. I mean I quit drugs for other reasons but music is why I didn't go back. And it is definitely the reason I quit cigarettes.
How do you think this release represents your current direction.. This song, Never Love Again, I worked on with my producer Ghost, it's definitely within the style and genre of music that I'd like to put out. Honestly, this was the first singing song I ever recorded and I actually wrote that song to a totally different beat, but when I was at Ghosts studio for my first time, he played that beat and I just felt it.! I was like I have a song that will go with this! And I didn't even practice, just went in and winged it. Then when I first heard it finished, mixed and mastered... I didn't like it too much at first even tho my friend's producer loved it but you are your own worst critic. So I started trying to redo it and mess with it and add things and there's honestly like 73 different versions of this song now lmaoo, and we lost the only redo I liked!! I then decided to just stick to the original. I really could have released that song and done this interview forever ago !(x oh myyy.
What most inspires you? My favorite instrument is my voice and myself because I don't play an instrument but I do sing and dance. It's just what I've been doing since I could walk and talk. When a song that I know is playing I can't help but sing along. And if the beat is groovin I am movin. Lmao I was always that one friend who would try and get everyone to learn a dance routine and record it or record ourselves singing covers. I auditioned for all the school play solos, scoped out every talent show, open mic and karaoke night in my town. Until I gained stage fright. When I got a little older I had my first few haters. Then when suddenly I was in middle school we had these solos in choir each Friday, I would try to do them and just couldn't. My heart would pound ridiculously hard and my voice would be all shakey, I had no control. All of a sudden I cared what people thought. All of a sudden I was self-conscious. I started realizing I needed more "practical" and "realistic" goals anyways, so people told me. I had some.
Cosmetology, yogi instructor, flight attendant. But none of those things are what I am in love with doing. Like how I am with writing, music, dancing, and singing. And I want to be in love with what I am doing every day as a living. So for a couple of years, I was distracted. But once upon a time, I was working fast food and this lil old lady heard me singing and told me singing means your content. And she isn't wrong when you sing you actually produce serotonin. That's when it started again. I was freestyling with some homies around that same time and they asked if I wrote, I said I used to.
They told me to start writing again. I wrote a song and it was game over from there. I kept writing more and showing as many people as I could, killing my stage fright one song at a time... Music makes me content. And as a person, you can do the most and make the most difference when you are content. So that is just exactly how I'm tryna to be and why.
The music business...
And I quote "When you stop caring what they think, you're ready". What do I think about being a musician today.? Hmm.. Well, I am in love. I am so blessed to be born in this day and age where opportunity is a given. With how technology and the internet have bloomed anyone can do anything and people are so accepting these days too. I'm white and a girl and I rap. I like wordplay and poetry, that's honestly what I started with. I started writing poetry, rap comebacks, rap songs, and then my singing songs.

BEHIND THE PROJECT: EVERY EYE BY IVAN AVE
We never get tired of saying it: behind a dope record , there’s always a solid work of a brilliant producer!
Today for our column named Behind The Project , we focus our attention on one of the most interesting albums of the year recorded by an european rapper that made a splash overseas (a rare case in the history of hip-hop). We’re talking about the microphone master Ivan Ave, a Telemark,Norway emcee whose career is exponentially growing through a series of compelling projects and outstanding collaborations. At scratchtheblock.com , we love to fuck with Ave’s signature mellow rhymes and we often give a spin to records like Helping Hands or Low Jams but the exciting galaxy of Ivan Ave music also gave us the opportunity to get familiar with the rest of his crew , Mutual Intentions , a fleet of creative minds that includes super-producer (and Ave frequent collaborator) Fredfades,Yogisoul,Ol’Burger Beats,Jawn Rice and SRAW, among others. We’re going to scout Ivan Ave last effort entitled Every Eye in order to get familiar with the producers involved .
MNDSGN
Ringgo Ancheta aka Mndsgn is one of the most innovative and gifted hip-hop producers of the moment, in particular his eclectic sound made a strong impact in the Los Angeles area. The Stones Throw affiliate recently teamed up with Los Angeles based Alima Jennings creating a new and fresh imprint named Akashik Records (which houses acts like Joyce Wrice,Koreatown Oddity,Nanna.B and B.Cool-Aid). Mndsgn has left his fingerprints on Every Eye producing and co-producing 8 out of 14 tracks, confirming the good chemestry with Ave, whose laid-back flow perfectly feet the dirty and gritty soul vibes .
DAM-FUNK
Damon “Dam-Funk” Riddick is a renowned musician, vocalist, and producer from Pasadena. Riddick particular ability to reinterpret da funk music with a distinctive and remarkable modern approach , led him to collaborate with a wide range of artists: Snoop Dogg,Daz Dillinger,MED,Blu,Mac Miller,Tyler The Creator just to name a few. Da supa-fonky act put his hands on the track entitled Steaming working behind the boards with another phenomenon, Kaytranada. The final result of the fruitful collaboration is an intergalactic sound and we bet you’ll have a real blast listening to it!
DJ HARRISON
We met Virginia superb musician and trained producer DJ Harrison when we wrote da Behind The Project for the neo-soul masterpiece TigallErro . Producer, engineer, drummer, pianist, bassist, and guitarist , Mr. Harrison impressed us with his musical vision and clever prowess to absorb different styles of music encompassing jazz,soul,blues,hip-hop,r&b,neo-soul. Harrison art of sampling through an organic process with live instruments represents another interesting quality of this incredible artist. DJ Harrison co-produced Fast Forward with Mndsgn and co-produced Jellylude and One Eye (our favorite track of the album) along side Sir Froderick. Recently DJ Harrison released an instrumental project under Stones Throw entitled HazyMoods
SIR FRODERICK
If you dive into Philly hip-hop producer Sir Froderick‘s Bandcamp catolog , you will enrapture by his head-nodding beats that flirts with sample-based rhythms, breakbeats, jazz and funk. Known also as Didaflo? , Froderick dropped last month da majestic instrumental project Rachel’s Suffering At The Hands Of The Sentinels. Sir Froderick and DJ Harrison cooked a collaborative work in 2015 called Songs About H.E.R under the moniker Sons Of Frod that includes Bassed Eyes and Bokchoy reintroduced for Every Eye tracks Jellylude and One Eye .
FREDFADES
Ivan Ave longstanding partner-in-crime , Fredfades earning our respect churning out impressive productions and albums, unveiling a strong penchant for jazz sonorities, interesting leitmotiv of his works. Jazz Cats , a stunning album recorded with the help of jazz trumpeter Kristoffer Eikrem is a clear example of Fredfades passion for “the marriage” between hip-hop and jazz. Fredfades produced the track George Duke (another superlative bomb!!) and co-produced Squint featuring Kristoffer Eikrem. This summer Fred’ dropped the well-appointed LP Warmth via King Underground label
KIEFER SHACKELFORD
Running Shoes and Old Eye are two pieces co-produced by San Diego-born musician/producer Kiefer . This dude literally intrigued us with his capability to paint vivid pictures through his supa-soulful notes that exude a jazz background and love for the king Jay Dee. Kiefer is paving the way for his success , unveiling excellent skills and an extraordinary musical vision as you can realize listening to his debut acclaimed LP Kickinit Alone released via Los Angeles label Leaving Records
YOGISOUL
Yogisoul co-produced Old Eye. Grew up in a small town near Oslo, Yogi is another interesting member of Mutual Intentions crew.He described his music as
an hotchpotch of vinyl samples, dusty rhodes chops, thick layered basslines and unquantized crispy drums.
Last year Yogi released his debut work entitled By Nights , delighting our palate with jazzy and extra mellow beats..
LIKE
Los Angeles rapper/producer Gabriel Stevenson known as Like is living a fruitful moment as producer cooking superlative productions for relevant albums like Malibu and Good Kid, M.A.A.D City as well as Good to Be Home and I’M UUGLY. The grammy nominated producer co-produced Running Shoes. Make sure y’all to follow him because his hip-hop group Pac Div its working on a new album recruiting super-producers such as DJ Dahi, Swiff D and Esta from Soulection label. Recently Mr.Stevenson dropped the hit Backwoods, a collabo with Iman Omari featuring Compton rapper Buddy.
KAYTRANADA
DJ/producer Kaytranada is one of the most in-demand artist of the moment! His trump card is the attitude to push the boundaries of his eclectic sound in a genuine and natural way. You can listen to his top-notch productions for his collaborative EP with Buddy, Ocean & Montana and then discover a new Kaytra style on his backdrops cooked for Sunni Colon or GoldLink. Kaytranada put his touch on the track entitled Steaming. Long live to the canadian beat-alchemist!!
ARTHUR KAY PIENE
The figure of Arthur Kay Piene got a relevent role in helping Ave & co to produce Every Eye. Mr.Piene is an Oslo jazz-pianist which interest on making music transcends the boundaries of tipical genres as you can realize listening to his side projects such as The Switch and Dr.Kay and his Interstellar Tone Scientists . We can describe Piene music as a kind of cosmos where alt-pop and psychedelic sonorities meet jazz! In 2015 Piene started to collaborate with Mutual Intentions , supporting Fredfades and jazz trumpeter Kristoffer Eikrem on their collaborative album Jazz Cats (playing synthesizer on three tracks). On Every Eye , Arthur Piene put his musicianship on several tracks and he describes his collaboration in these terms:
it was me colouring the beats coming out of LA. So most of what I’m doing on Every Eye is finishing touches, experimenting with longer lines and ideas, to go with the shorter loops that the beats are based on. We tried to incorporate some of the stuff I’m doing with Ivan in a live setting
Arthur co-produced the track titled Monitor , creating something like an 80s boogie vibe that perfectly fit Mndsgn laid-back drums.
