Do you think any of the Solstice trio had any notoriety from being associated to the Author in one way or another, either in the real world or the simulation?

I know what you could be thinking, the Author kept his own identity anonymous, most people never met him directly, even if he did reply to letters.

But then he would also accept interviews from the newspaper, people knew he had a flying machine and he took part in meetings with notable people from the Glen, and at least other scientists worked with him, or referenced his work. Even if not by the pseudonym of the Author, he had to have some notoriety.

How do you think this would affect his children, then? Would they be able to speak of him to others? Would they feel too exposed if they revealed anything that hinted at their father? Would any of them have any sort of reputation? Would there be differences between their real world identity and the one they build in the simulation?

Just finished watching Trigun Stampede and its good to know that I am still absolutely feral for the estranged brothers trope.

And my god, Nai's behaviour reminded me so much of s5 Felix. The plot resemblance is so uncanny to me that I cannot not share.

I know you're gonna think I'm crazy for comparing a snot nosed gremlin with a seasoned killer, like someone's probably reading this and foaming at the mouth...

Alas, I have made a chart to make this explanation easier:

The most notable difference here is that Knives' happiness requires Vash's identity to be stripped. Knives only values Vash as an extension of himself and not as an individual. He is in love with the concept of a brother who supports his twisted ideals solidified by their childhood bond, and when he finds out that isn't true, destroys his life to make him see "reason". Probably loved Rem buts its buried under all that misanthropy.

Meanwhile, Felix cares for Adrien as a person but also disregards his autonomy by making decisions on his behalf. However, unlike Knives, Felix is amendable to keeping some humans around for the sake of Adrien's happiness. Felix's twin cousin-complex comes from a place of jealousy and situational projection.

In addition to being upset that Adrien has not fought for his freedom and seeks to liberate him. He is envious of his cousin's ability to make friends but is disgusted by his naivety and inability to think for himself (a past-pathetic version of himself under control).

To conclude, one is a psychotic narcissist who developed delusions of grandeur instead of healing from abuse while the other is a misguided, morally grey teen who also hasn't healed from abuse :(

Very different characters but the fundamentals are all there.

Nanami when he learned how to use Instagram and he can't stop posting you —⁠ Gojo probably tried influencing him to use social media once and he was like no??? not until one time you took a photo of him during one of your dates and you asked him, "hey can I post this?" and of course he said yes and after that you kept posting him at some times which led him to the idea of posting you as well since he thinks you deserve it too.

Nanami who is nervous to talk about the future he wants with you — not totally nervous it's more like when you talked about kids you wanted soon with him he will always be like, "sure I also thought about that." with his usual tone but deep inside talking about it was his hyper fixation and he can't stop thinking about it.

You felt yourself let out a sigh for what felt like the umpteenth time while you walked along side draco on an early morning errand run in Diagon Alley.  

Currently you were both between two bookshelves to which Draco was scanning the many isles looking for the books he needed for his case at work.  

"Draco..." you called out softly as you tried to gain his attention.  

"Yes, my love?" he said as he continued to scan the spines of the books.  

You huffed lowly as you felt yourself start to get a bit frustrated with him. But that's when you suddenly get an idea.  

Trying to hold in a giggle so that Draco didn't hear you, you wrapped your arms around his waist and squished yourself against him.  

"I’m bored..." you said sounding muffled as you had the side of your face mushed against his back. 

You could hear a low chuckle from Draco as he gently placed one hand on top of yours while giving them a soft caress. "I'm almost done here, just be a little more patient my pet."  

Letting out a small moan of protest, you waited until draco let go of your hands to go into action with your small plan.  

You gently traced small patterns with the tip of your finger on his lower stomach while slowly traveling to the waist band of his black colored slacks.

“I’m glad you were feeling good my love but—” Draco said as he looked down at you with a smug smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “—this is only the beginning of your punishment pet.” he said as he straightened his back out, seeming more composed than you were.  

“Draco, no! Please, I was so —” you were cut off mid complaint by Draco taking hold of the back of your neck and bringing your faces close to one another.  

“Cease your complaining pet, you’ll receive more of your desired punishment at home where I know there isn’t pervs lurking about the corner.” He said in a low growl as he gently caressed your flushed cheek with his other hand.  

“O-okay.” you said deferentially as you bit your lower lip in anticipation.  

“Good, I’m glad you came into an understanding my love.” Draco said sweetly as he placed a kiss on your slightly damped forehead before he reached behind you and grabbed the book, he was looking for behind you.  

“Come my love, our business is done here for the day.” Draco said in an endearing tone as he looked over his shoulder to give you a loving smile that left you flustered on the spot.  

Quickly, you casted a silent charm over yourself to compose yourself to look more presentable before you caught up to Draco at the counter where the elderly wizard checked out the book Draco got.  

With everything done, you both walked out of the store hand in hand as anticipation and excitement coursed through you as you couldn’t wait to side-along appariate back to your home at the Malfoy Estate.
