hi and welcome, it's new theory time wunce agayne, with I, your host, BTQ, stitching things together that maybe fit perfectly or maybe have no business touching at all: you decide!
Today's post inspo began several days ago when I started playing the Xadia game and discovered some cool lore that I just could not stop thinking about, so here, below the cut for all the spoiler reasons, is a screenshot of what you can find in the game, and what I would love for it to mean!
Topic: How Aaravos was tricked into that mirror prison
Context: We all wonder what happened to Luna Tenebris, how she died, where she went, all that good stuff. This isn't about answering those questions. This is about what she did before she died, and why. If she died at all (yeah that's always the question with Moon beings innit)
If you've played the game you'll know the context for this screenshot:
Tumblr media
Ethari says, "Someone with the power to influence the Blood Moon itself used blood magic to become... something else."
and, well,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Luna seems to have disappeared during a Blood Moon. But she might not have died, despite what everyone thinks- she might have just become something else.
Why would she do this?
I'm guessing it wasn't for fun. Something desperate must've been happening. Luna disappeared 300 years ago, hmm, what in the world could've been happening at that moment...?
No, we all know.
You remember the Jailer. She's a human. No arcanum at all. She may be a dark mage, or she may just be a trickster magician. Either way, her whole deal is that she thinks outside the Cosmic Order box - she thinks in ways even Aaravos can't. And human ideas in times of desperation can break a lot of conventions and even taboos - just look at the things Viren, Claudia, and Callum have done when they had to.
So if the Jailer is thinking about dark creative solutions as the only way to trick a godlike Star Touch elf, maybe one of those ways was to get the Archdragon of the Moon to turn into something else, with magic that worked outside the laws of the Moon Arcanum.
We've all seen what Kim'dael can do - her Moonshadow powers and her forbidden magics are available to her at any time, not just during a full moon. Now imagine that ability for a blood magic archdragon.
Yeah.
Why the Queen of the Dragons, though?
I think they needed that much power to combat Aaravos. No one else could've done it with the confidence to succeed. And then there's the whole Moon theme of sacrifice, which all the Moonshadow elves keep demonstrating so determinedly. Surely their dragon queen has the same sentiment, deep down.
This still doesn't tell us what she did. But if she could use her massive illusion/deception powers at any time, they could trap Aaravos in any instant of their choosing instead of luring him to the predictable full moon. And seeing what sort of shenanigans are possible in the game when Moon creatures step outside their boundaries, well, there is certainly a lot of room for surprise there. In several directions. And they'd only have to surprise Aaravos once.
(side note: I can see now why Amaya says Moonshadow elves are the worst kind lmfaooo PLAY THE GAME IT'S SO FUN)
This whole theory feels very Moonshadow because even though I have this central nugget that feels plausible, I still wonder about so much more. For instance, what happened to Luna after this? Where is she now? Did she willingly die to keep from turning into a monster? Is she stuck in the spinning water that bears her name on the map? Is she alive somewhere still, lurking? Is she- NO SPOIL ME I JUST STARTED THE GAME. Idk if she's in there or not, shh.
Anyway. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this lore since I saw it in the game. And there's so much more than this even in the small bits I've played so far! If you're into the lore of The Dragon Prince, you'll wanna get this game!
But, serious lore enjoyer face. This one's extremely fun to think about.

An alternate scene of mine about the debate of Ozai's fate if Aang was separated from the gaang and was held captive by the FN right after being revived in Ba Sing Se until Zuko delivers him back to the gaang as he tries joining.
Suki: But he looks so sweet and innocent.
Zuko: Well that sweet kid grew up to be a monster and the worst father in the history of fathers.
Aang: But he's still your father none the less.
Zuko: You're going to defend him?
Aang: No. I know he's done horrible deeds and I know that I had to take lives at the North Temple and the North Pole to protect innocent people and Gyatso resorted to taking lives when he tried to save himself. But I don't think I can destroy the fire lord this time.
Sokka: Sure you can. You're the Avatar. If it's in the name of keeping balance, I'm pretty sure the universe will forgive you.
Aang: Would the fire nation feel the same way?
Sokka: Yeah...?
Aang: Regardless of what he is, the fire nation idolize him. They appreciate him as their ruler, not to mention Sozin has been spreading lies about me and other nations for generations. Everyone was indoctrinated, including Ozai and Azula. We need to show them that we're the good guys.
Zuko: An admirable idea, but it's not possible. My father finds the very concepts of mercy and peace to be laughable weaknesses. Indoctrinated or not he's not gonna stop doing horrible things.
Aang: Not everyone in the fire nation feel the same way. I believe if we showed mercy to the fire lord, they'll appreciate it, Azula included, even if he doesn't.
Katara: Azula?
Aang: She's not as ruthless as her father is. She tries to be only because she loves her father. He has to live, for Azula's sake if nothing else.
Zuko: My father's a bad influence on Azula, she'll be better off with him dead.
Aang: How do you know she won't become worse than ever in the process of trying to avenge him? Can he at least live long enough until she and the others are shown the truth and reject his policies like you?
Sokka: Buddy, Azula shot you with lightning, right after Katara healed you, she held you, Suki, and my dad prisoner, she's a good enough of a liar to fool even Toph, and she was the one who inspired the fire lord to commit the same genocide as the air nomads in the first place. She's clearly evil in her own right.
Aang: She could've taken my life again in the worst of ways. She could've done the same to Suki and your dad. She could've placed me in the boiling rock next to them. But she didn't. She promised to be civil if I was civil first and she delivered. I got to spend the most time with her and I know there is good in her. I can feel it. She can be saved. She can be turned to the good side, but not if I kill her father.
Toph: Azula brainwashed you the same way Long Feng brainwashed Jet, didn't she.
Aang: No.
Zuko: I get where you're coming from. She was the one who overturned my banishment and kept quiet about my secret conversations with our uncle. She even asked me to go to the beach with her. But we may have to prepare to put her out of the way as well if she becomes a big enough problem.
Aang: You can't seriously mean that! She's your sister, she wouldn't have done any of those things if she wasn't capable of love!
Katara: Aang, we understand what your saying it's just...
Aang: Just what, Katara? What?
Katara: We're trying to help!
Aang: Then, when you figure out a way for me to save the Fire Lord, the Fire Nation, and Azula from themselves and restore their internal balance, I'd love to hear it! (Walks away.)
Katara: Aang, don't walk away from this! (Walks toward Aang.)
Zuko: (Puts a hand on Katara's shoulder to stop her.) Let him go. He needs time to sort it out by himself.
Suki: He and Azula didn't have a thing, did they?
Zuko: I don't know. But they did seem close and friendliest to each other until the war meeting, they even danced together at a party that was not too far from here before he helped us burn it all down.

talk shop tuesday!!!! I love love LOVED your piece for the tea toast & ghosts zine – what was your experience in planning and creating it? was it a challenge to combine both art and writing, and did your art influence your writing or vice versa? I'd love to hear about your thought process in the creation of that really cool piece :D
thank you so much! it's really nice to hear especially since it's my first posted writing!
if im being honest i wanted to write an article from the very beginning, it was the overall idea that was ever changing but eventually i found it. since TTG zine's topic was your favourite thing about l&co, and i had no idea how to incorporate skullyle and it was too much work to come up with technical parts of ghost-lamps (tho i did dive deep into street lights' wiring at one point), i figured i'd stick to my favourite thing of all - worldbuilding and dark stuff!
The Idea™, at first, was to come up with a few cases and illustrate them, but the longer i rotated those the more i didn't like the prospect of making something separate and not rooted into canon. so i skimmed through the books while looking for any mentions of Fittes and Rotwell cases, since back then i already decided to use the Mud Lane Phantom's story. the other two i took are from TSS and THB and they were vague enough to be able to lengthen them to an article entry.
i outlined ideas first, what themes i wanted to convey, what i wanted to put out there for fans and how these cases would've work with each other. from the that point i started drawing the illustrations. quite a backwards process. and it all sounds good on paper but in reality irl struggles really weren't making me any favours and i wasn't meeting deadlines at all, but mods team was patient and understanding with me, they are literally the best!
for Mud Lane i went for slight mockery of pioneers because, well, yeah. there was quite a lot of made up lore that i decided to cast aside (like what if "today" at the crossroad there's a statue of Fittes and Rotwell? a museum? a tourist attraction? a gift shop?). overall im just really proud of illustration that i did, i should draw more of Marissa and Tom at some point.
fun fact and easter egg of sorts: Marissa's pose was supposed to be an homage to first poster of the series and the way Lucy stands in it! i think it got lost along the way as i changed the pose but i think it's still readable enough. i love drawing parallels between the two (:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[id: a side by side of Marissa in illustration, where she's holding her lantern with her right hand and looking beyond the viewer, and Lucy from the first Netflix' poster, where she stands in a simillar manner but points with her rapier at something out of view./end id]
picking one case set 50 years before the others ment that i'd have to contrast them, draw a parallel and make them work against each other to bring up the best and the worst. The Shoreditch one was, admittedly, more of that coming up with something that wasn't there in the first place. first book only mentioned patrols and i latched onto them. (plus i was drafting it at around the same time as l&co bigbang came out and i was massively inspired by my teammates work which incorporated those patrols but in metro tunnels. great case-fic btw). mainly i went for darker aspects of agent's work there, thinking that to fit in sewers the team would've been of smaller children, and that Kipps (yeah, he's there in illustration) would be as close to them as possible, unlike other inspectors we are used to seeing.
Holland Park Hounds was the one that i was the most excited for because wdym we as a fandom don't talk about possible animal-ghosts?? sure, it could've been Changer(s) but is it really? plus how badass of Holly to be part of it AND it was famous enough that Lucy knew of it as well!
Holly Munro pushed a stray hair or two behind her ear. ‘Well, I’ve seen some things. I was there in the Holland Park Cellar case, when our party got blockaded underground by those seven spectral dogs. It was quite a tight spot. And after that—’ ‘I heard about Holland Park, Holly, and I can tell you the thing that makes the bloody footprints is ten times worse. I’m only saying. I don’t want to frighten you. I just wouldn’t want you to get hurt.’ (THB)
innitially i wanted to do something about a horse-phantom that was mentioned somewhere but for the life of me i couldn't find it in books, so i'll leave it for my next reread. but this case has so much more ties to the main gang and especially Holly herself. i really wanted to draw a picture of her and her team after the case but no composition really worked so i kept it to park's plan (my urban planer friend said it looked good even). plus giving a plan and thorough haunting information somehow felt very Rotwell to me.
aaand i think that's it! not much to say for back cover only that my friend really disliked my choice of comic sans for one of the adverts. and that i wanted to make it gritty, as if its a wall right around the corner of the Fittes ball court.

Iridescent: Chapter 11
Summary: When Jazz is promoted to Head of Special Operations, the last thing he expected was to have to work with a face from his past.
Ao3
FF.net
Jazz quickly shut off the robotic voice of his text-to-speech generator as he heard a knock on his door.
He wasn't expecting anyone. And the past few times that someone had turned up unexpectedly at his door hadn't exactly bode good news so he went to answer it with caution.
Even with all the scenarios he was imaging, Jazz was still surprised to find Prowl standing behind his door.
"Hey Commander." Jazz greeted, leaning against the doorway. "You got more paperwork for me?"
"No." Prowl stated. His expression gave nothing awayway but judging by his long pause he was clearly gathering his thoughts to say something. "Would you like to... hang out with me?"
Jazz nearly slid off the doorframe. Honestly he'd been starting to worry that Prowl was about to tell him that somebody else had died. So it was a bit of a relief. If no less confusing. But frankly Jazz didn't really care about the reasonings behind Prowl's change of heart. As whilst Jazz wasn't currently the Praxian's biggest fan, that didn't mean that he didn't want Prowl to like him back.
"Alright." He shrugged, not wanting to appear too eager. "Do you want to meet up in the rec-room for lunch?"
"The recreational room is very loud." Prowl stated.
"Well most people's shifts don't start ending for another hour so it should be pretty quite right now. I'll just finish this then we can head down if you want?"
Prowl paused, that breifly blank look crossing his eyes that Jazz had begun to recognise as when he was assessing all possible probabilities with that big battle computer brain of his. Whatever conclusion he'd come too must have been acceptable as a moment later Prowl nodded.
Jazz tried his best to finish his work as quick as possible. He avoided Prowl's gaze as he turned the text to speak generator back on but thankfully the commander didn't make any comment on it.
As soon as he was done, Jazz lead the way towards the rec room, not wanting to give Prowl time to change his mind.
Thankfully Jazz had been right in his guess that it wouldn't be busy. Besides the clashing green and red forms of Inferno and Hound taking up one of the central tables with a cyber-chess match, the place was empty.
Jazz poured a cube of energon for himself then one for Prowl, trying the get it to the same shade of pink that he remembered Sideswipe previously making for the commander. It must've been close enough as Prowl took one inspecting glance at cube before taking a sip. Jazz mentally tallied that as a win.
Despite the place being practically empty, Prowl took them to the right corner booth which would let them survey the room whilst keeping an eye on the exit. Whether Prowl was aware that he'd done this on purpose, Jazz wasn't sure but he wasn't about to complain when he would have done that same.
As soon as he sat down, Prowl sharply turned his whole body towards him.
"The weather is terrible today." Prowl stated. He then proceeded to stare at Jazz expectantly.
"Err yeah sure is." Jazz replied.
There was then an awkward silence as Prowl apparently had no idea what to say after that. Whatever was happening here, the guy was at least trying, so Jazz decided to throw him a bone.
"So how's Bluestreak settling back in?" He asked, guessing that would be a safe subject.
Sure enough, that got Prowl to brighten up.
"She is settling in well. And I am glad that she has found a friend in Bumblebee."
"Me too." Jazz said. Primus knows the kid could do with better influences than the twins. "Hey If this is too personal then you can tell me to frag off but if you don't mind me asking, what did Bluestreak mean that you weren't biologically brother and sister? Because you could've fooled me! And believe me, that aint an easy thing to do."
"As the only other known Praxian still alive, I believed that it was my duty to become her gaurdian after the destruction of Praxus."
Shit. Jazz had been stationed in Iacon at the time but like everyone else left on their planet, he had heard of the Battle of Praxus. Although calling it a battle was a bit disingenuous. A slaughter would be more acurate. Praxus had been a Neutral State up until that point so most of the casualties had been civilian. Many of the remaining neutral cities had joined the Autobots after that but in Jazz's opinion the loss of life hadn't been worth it.
"Well from what I've seen from her records she's grown into a resilient young bot." Jazz told him.
"She should not have needed to become so resilient." Prowl stated, a slight edge to his voice. "She has been through so much for such a young age. Loosing her family, deciding to transition and growing up during a war."
"Still, you must be proud of her?"
"I claim no responsibility for her strength of character. That is all her. But yes I am proud." A rare smile crossed Prowl's face. It soon vanished however when he turned his attention back to Jazz. "Do you have any siblings?"
"I did." Jazz stated before smoothly moving the subject back to Bluestreak. "Is she the reason you're doing... whatever this is?"
"Yes." Prowl sighed. "She is worried I do not talk to anyone whilst she is away and I cannot have her worrying about me whilst on a mission when a distraction could cost her life."
Okay that made sense. What didn't make sense was- "Why did you pick me? I thought you hated me!"
"I do." Prowl replied without hesitation. "But you are the only one interested in talking to me."
"Well how do ya know that for certain? When was the last time you actually tried to make friends with someone?" Jazz asked.
Prowl's eyes took on that blank look once again and judging by the fact that it was taking him this long and he hadn't come up with an answer yet told Jazz that it had probably been a long time.
"Listen if you genuinely to be my friend then I'm more than happy to be! But I don't want you to feel like you have to settle for me because you think I'm you're only option." Jazz told him.
"You are my only option."
Well with that attitude he would be. Still as he had done with Mirage all those years ago now, Jazz decided to give the bot a helping hand.
Glancing around the room, Jazz's gaze landed on Hound and Inferno, two of the friendliest mechs in the entire Autobot army.
Perfect.
"Come on!" Jazz downed the rest of his drink then held out a hand to the commander. After a moment's hesitation, he took it allowing Jazz to lead them over to the central tables.
"Heya mechs! Who's winning?" Jazz asked, dropping Prowl's hand so that he could lean on the comparitivly cooler table.
"Inferno." Hound grumbled.
The bot in question shrugged. "That's only because I've played against my Red so much."
"I've been trying to think outside the box like you're always telling me! But it's hard when you're literally playing with little boxes!" Hound faux whined, pretending to bang his head on the table.
"That's because you're taking it too literally." Jazz explained, patting his friend on the helm. "We ain't confined to black and white boxes in real life!"
Jazz then grabbed one of Inferno's pawns and ate it.
"Well I've gotta admit, I have no idea how to respond to that." Inferno stated whilst Hound banged his head against the table for real.
"I do." Prowl stated, moving another pawn to take its place.
Interested to see where the commander was going with this, Jazz moved Hound's own pawn to steal it back. It wasn't until three moves later that Jazz saw what was about to happen the second before Prowl took his rook.
Jazz grinned.
Oh it was on.
Hound and Inferno had already whittled down each others pieces so it wasn't long until the two commanders were down to two pieces each. Jazz with a knight. Prowl with a rook. And both with their king.
Within that time the lunch hour had truly begun and their little game had drawn quite a crowd. But despite the number of people, the room was oddly quiet. Many of them were probably in shock to see the head of tactics actually in the Rec Room for first time.
Being a spy, Jazz had been aware of the silent swarm starting to form, but Prowl was so engrossed in the game that he hadn't appeared to have noticed.
Jazz smirked to himself, as he placed his knight adjacent  to his opponents king.
Prowl paused, looking up to stare at Jazz with those intelligent blue eyes. Jazz gave nothing away, keeping his smirk only for himself.
Sure enough, two moves later, Prowl defeated Jazz's King and the crowd exploded.
Prowl froze as the mechs surrounded him with applause, singing his praises and clasping his shoulders.
Jazz allowd himself a small chuckle at the sight.
Perhaps Prowl wasn't a complete arsehole. Sure he was partly. But more so he was just extremely socially awkward.
Jazz allowed the crowd another minute to shower their congratulations before coming to Prowl's rescue.
"Alright I know most of ya'lls shifts have started again by now so get ya sorry afts back to work!" Jazz ordered. After a few grumbles and quick dashes for energon, most having forgotten to refuel in their engrossment, soon only the original players remained.
"Thanks for letting us joing in." Jazz grinned. "And sorry about your pawn. I'll make ya a new one!"
"Don't worry about it!" Inferno said, waving him off before perking up. "Hey I was thinking of starting a cyber-chess club. I thought it would be fun for the base! Plus it would be a good excuse to get Red out of their room." He then turned to Jazz with a pleading glint to his optics. "Just promise me you won't eat the peices when playing with them? I think it would cause another episode."
"I promise." Jazz said, holding his hand to his spark. Out of the corner of his eye, he snuck a glance at Prowl.
The Head of Tactics had a slightly blank stare on his face as though what Inferno had just asked them didn't logically make sense.
Jazz gave him a subtle nudge.
Prowl blinked, his mind seemingly now back within this realm of reality as he turned to Inferno.
"Yes, I would like to join your club." Prowl said. Jazz thought that he imagined the corners of Prowl's lips twitch in a smile.
"Thank you so much!" Inferno beamed as they started to pack away. "I'll send you both a rota for matches!"
"Can't wait!" Jazz cried, giving him and Hound a wave as he strolled towards the exit. Prowl followed behind him after a polite nod.
As soon as they stepped outside, the blast proof doors slammed shut behind them, leaving the pair in total silence.
"You let me win." Prowl stated.
"Of course. It's the only way you could win against me." Jazz said, finally letting his smirk free.
"I could have beaten you."
"Prove it." Jazz dared, his smirk now a full on grin.
"I will." Prowl told him, that monotone voice of his expressing his calm confidence.
"I'm looking forward to it." Jazz said, turning down the corridor towards his habsuite, surprised that he actually meant it.
He had nearly reached the end of the corridor when caught Prowl's reply.
"Me too."
The next morning stacked on top of Jazz's mounting pile of daily reports, was a datastick.
Curious, he plugged it into his computer where a voice recording tab popped up.
He pressed play, and was surprised yet touched to hear the words of this mornings reports read aloud by Prowl's steady voice.

okay so it's 3am and i'm thinking about random stuff and one particular topic came to mind. and it's the scar on tyler's nose in particular music videos and it's on the side or bridge of his nose.
i haven't seen a lot of people talk about it but then again i haven't done a lot of research on this particular topic lore wise.
i was just thinking about how he could've gotten it and i saw a theory that it was something like dema's influence on him and where the scar is the bishop's ink starts there. like it's a way to show dema and their hold over tyler which is an interesting theory. i found it on reddit i believe but i can't remember the user's name.
though i also looked up how you could get that type of scar or injury without accidentally somehow banging your head on a cabinet in the most perfect spot. in that research i saw broken nose which honestly makes some sense. hear me out.
this kind of makes more sense with the music videos jumpsuit and heathens because of where it's located. after finding that possible reason on why someone might have a scar on the bridge of their nose i looked up pictures and honestly looking at that scar and those photos of what it looks like to have a broken nose, it is very similar to each other.
without having to post a photo of a broken nose because honestly you probably can't just post a photo like that, i'll explain.
when i google searched broken nose there were some photos of people with a broken nose with the exact same cut as tyler without the deformity that comes with the broken nose.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in heathens as he's in a prison there's more of an explanation of why he has those cuts on his face and cut on his nose. a lot of violence goes down in prison and a lot of injury comes from it. though with jumpsuit he is coming from dema (and yeah yeah i know whole "it's just an episode/vision it wasn't real/wasn't him" listen i don't believe that it was just an episode or didn't happen to clancy/tyler. personally i think tyler and clancy are synonymous and are the same person. that's a whole different explanation that will go someplace else that is not this post)
with jumpsuit, there's less of an idea of how he got that cut. i mean he fell maybe 3 different times in that video and could've scrapped it on a rock or something bc he was weak and couldn't stay on his feat ("i escaped. i wandered, grew weak, and was tracked down"). though there's a darker idea that someone purposely broke his nose. who? why? i don't know but there's a possibility there.
with the outside and the ending of overcompensate music videos, there's a reasonable explanation for the cut he has too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
one idea is as he was quite literally swimming through ruckage, he could've easily sliced it open on some sort of debris as he didn't have it in saturday.
though i'm going to be heavily delusional here for just a second.
what if someone caused these? as sometimes in production there's not a lot of time to do makeup sometimes and no doubt how many times they filmed pieces of these music videos it's a lot to have to memorise where the details are so they miss some. that doesn't mean clancy just doesn't have that scar bc that shit looks like it scared.
my delusional ass is saying someone caused that scar. dark theory? nico.
now i'm probably losing you here. i know, its wild and out there, right? but what if it's not.
looking back at the clancy letters i believe he talked of nico when he was talking about the person he witnessed out in trench with him. firstly, one again i believe that's clancy and he's just telling it like a vision but that explanation is for a later post.
the quote(s) that stuck out to me when speaking to this person and his bishop was "the force i saw between him and his bishop seemed tense to me, and frightening" and "i assumed the bishop was forcefully retrieving his subject.." he later believed he witnessed things wrong but i believe he didn't. that he witnessed and experienced that "tense and frightening" exchange and further had other tense and frightening exchanges. looking at the music videos, "i am clancy," and other clancy letters, the only truly "chill" and "understanding" bishop is keons. that makes sense as he did betray nico and sacrifice himself for clancy. keons is the only one that truly cares for his district from clancy's POV.
nico is the leader and he is more ruthless and "frightening" than keons and the others. then with how we know clancy had excaped a bunch of times what if nico punished him? physically?
we know clancy was punished with no food or water. he couldn't write either, but what if there was more than that? what if there was actual violent punishment?
sure it's probably not true but what if one of the bishops caused that scar? it's a longshot and they probably didn't, but it's a tiny possibility. who else would break his nose? who would hit him hard enough to leave physical evidence? we only hear about the banditos and i'm sure none of them did that. josh most definitely didn't. so who else would've? how did he get that cut on his nose???
again it's a long shot and this probably doesn't have a cohesive train of thought but i've been thinking. please give me your ideas on why that cut is there because i cannot figure it out other than this.
i will post more about my lore theories and stuff in the future if you're interested. though i'm posting. this because im genuinely curious on why that cut there and im sticking with my broken nose type injury theory or he just is clumsy and has no spacial awareness and sliced it open. give me your ideas because this is a definite long shot 😭😭

I was watching a video when suddenly an idea beaned me over the head so Crack Au time-
so what if Giorno wasn't fast enough to save Koichi and he got stabbed a second time by Black Sabbath
and because I do think at this point in his character development Koichi would have the mental strength to handle this and given the fact that the Arrow stabs Echoes........ I think this means that Koichi would accidentally get a Requiem Stand
but yeah, Giorno freaks out a bit because Oh Fuck Oh Shit Two People Got Caught In The Crossfire And It's My Fault He's Even Here-
so he still deals with Black Sabbath....... but by the time the fight is over with and he goes to check Koichi's body....... the wound is fully healed. There's still a scar remaining where he had been stabbed, but it looks months old, not minutes
and after a quick check for a pulse, he ends up dragging Koichi's Apparently Not Dead Body to his dorm so he can come up with a plan because he's still under the impression Polpo knows what just happened and is completely oblivious to the fact that the arrow is magic
and Koichi does eventually wake up! His voice is a tad shot (heh puns) so he downs a whole glass of water to try and make it less painful, and Giorno finally gets an explanation for all this magic bullshit going on. He's incredibly glad what happened here wouldn't get out to Polpo and that Koichi seems to be miraculously almost unharmed despite the ordeal
........but then Koichi notices something different about Echoes. The Stand had a strange feeling to it, like the connection between the two of them wasn't...... right. It was like the subtle differences of when Echoes had evolved Acts but amplified to a glaring degree
and what he summons....... isn't Echoes. Not Act 3, or any of the other Acts at least. The shapes, size, even the colors are all wrong. It's not his Stand and yet it is
Act 3 is..... honestly not very happy with this turn of events, if it's being honest. It was perfectly happy with the Acts he had thank you very much and really isn't a fan of how he's now stuck in this new form. Plus...... becoming a Requiem Stand was far from painless
and of course that's not even touching to fun that's going to come with the Kira Comparisons and the possible new power Echoes has
but eventually and unfortunately Giorno does have to go and finish his test. He does ask to keep in touch, if only so he could know how Echoes is doing and that he's adjusting. So Koichi gives him his phone number but also says he can call if anything happens and he needs back up
and who could've possibly guessed, things happen and Giorno needs back up
I have....... some ideas of how Echoes Requiem could be. At the bare minimum I want it to be similar to GER in how he keeps all his previous abilities, but as for the Requiem one...... to go with the word theme of Echoes, maybe some kind of "words bends reality" type shtick. What he says becomes reality, or can even over write it should he so choose. Maybe his words can influence people too, controlling them completely beyond their choice

For the pairing ask meme: Jo/Laurie from Little Women (really curious about it!) And Carla/Mateo from EoA (because kinda love your Mateo roasting and takes 😁)
Jo/Laurie (????)
This is hard, because I don't know whether I ship it or not. I do but I don't. I think if I were to guess I'd say overall, I primarily don't except for Winona Ryder!Jo/Christian Bale! Laurie from Little Women (1994). I guess I'm going to go with "no" overall, because honestly as much as I love that adaptation, Christian Bale Laurie is arguably too "cool"/suave compared to book!Laurie (who tbh is more than a bit pathetic sometimes). Like I'm genuinely a little "What are you thinking?" when Winona!Jo turns Bale!Laurie down but I am mostly okay with it in all other incarnations. I do also mostly like Amy/Laurie and Jo/Bhaer as much if not more , so yeah I'm not really cut up about it Jo/Laurie not being endgame.
Why don’t you ship it?
For me, it's largely that there is a sense (more pronounced in some adaptions than others) that Laurie wants to be a March Girl™ (gender-neutral) more than he wants to be Jo's life-partner which is not really the idea ship vibe--even if I can't exactly blame him as I too would do almost anything to be a March Girl. Like sure Jo was his first choice by far and I do believe that his eventual relationship with Amy is genuinely based on more than "settling"--but I also feel relatively sure that he might have hypothetically settled for Beth or Meg under other circumstances. And that's just not a solid start for a relationship, if your s.o. could've hypothetically is always low-key considering your sibling as a backup plan if things go south with you too. (I mean you could say that the same is true of Laurie/Amy, but I do think it's less bad b/c Amy has literally been in love with Laurie since she was 12 and because overall their personalities "mesh" a little better than Jo/Laurie).
I also worry a bit about how Laurie's wealth might hypothetically impact the Jo/Laurie relationship. I do think that he would continue to be supportive of her writing and theatrical dreams, but I can also see him overcompensating/supporting her "too much." Unlike Bhaer, I don't think Laurie is capable of offering her constructive criticism that is necessary for her work to improve. He's too much of an inherent simp who thinks Jo March is already the most amazing human to ever exist (again can't totally blame him for that) to even conceive of the possibility that she has genuine strengths and weaknesses. I can also see him throwing his money and influence around a little in order to get her published/earning favorable reviews. Jo is fiercely independent and so achieving her dreams on her own terms/by her own merit is supremely important to her--arguably more important than her achieving them at all. Laurie interfering in her career even positively/with good intentions would inevitably cause a lot of conflict between them and create some self-doubt of Jo as to whether she really "earned"/"deserves" her success at all.
What would have made you like it?
As I mentioned I do sort of like it even as I also dislike it. I guess I would like it more consistently/wish it was endgame if Laurie was just a wee bit less eager/obsessed/convinced they were "meant to be." Also if we had a stronger sense that Jo herself wanted the romance specifically as opposed to just Laurie staying in her life. Another thing that makes me a little wary about Jo/Laurie is the meta-aspect of knowing that Louisa May Alcott was very adamant about not wanting them together. Her publisher pretty much insisted that Jo needed to find love in Part 2 and so she created Professor Bhaer in order to give Jo an alternate love interest
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
A lot, especially since I don't not ship it even if I don't ship it. Their "meet cute" scene at the ball is one of my favorite scenes in the book and arguably one of my favorite "character introduction scenes" in all of literature. I think that the two of them have great chemistry and a really supportive dynamic. They care deeply about each other and have so much fun together. (You see this as well in the sequels. Even though they're both romantically with other people, they are still go-to confidants and partners-in-mischief for each other).
I also think that narratively Jo/Laurie has to "work" on some level in order to justify the direction that story takes. The first time that you encounter the story, the reader/viewer needs to really like them together and assume that them being endgame is inevitable. It gives Jo's decision to reject his proposal more poignancy and agency. She needs to love him deeply and know that he loves her--even if they can't love each other in the same way--in order to fully be able to choose herself and her goals over him. If he's not an otherwise desirable option, her choice not to choose him isn't a real choice. She needs to be conflicted, tempted even, if her decision to prioritize her own dreams and needs over his and her family's is to hold any real weight.
And Alcott (and most of the adaptions) do a fantastic job of making Jo/Laurie seem plausible/desirable so that the rejected proposal emotionally fulfills its narrative purpose for Jo's character development (and a lesser extent Laurie's and Amy's as well).
Carla/Mateo (I ship it albeit very low-key though Carla probably deserves better)
What made you ship it?
Probably their interactions in late S3 most of all (especially the finale). I think there is clearly attraction and chemistry between them. They seem to have similar, slightly dorky and clumsy personalities that seem like they would mesh well. And shallow , I know, but their character models are also attractive and look good together.
What are your favorite things about the ship?
Is it bad if I say that I like how easily Rita!Carla was able to make Mateo look like the biggest fool in all Avalor?
I think there is a lot of potential for the two of them to bond. They're both very family-oriented, and I think there's a lot of potential for them to grow closer as being the only (and a little coddled/spoiled) children of very loving but somewhat smothering single parents (Victor and Rafa)--as well as missing their absent other parents (Ash and Mateo's father).
They are also arguably THE characters (well them, Victor, and Olivia) who are most actively interested in learning magic. (Gabe and Elena express some curiosity but specifically in the context of magic being a tool to protect the kingdom as opposed to something they want to learn just for itself). So it's nice to think of magic being another way that they can grow closer/flirt/have fun together.
I also adore the Delgado father and daughter relationship and enjoy thinking about how Carla/Mateo would impact Victor and his relationship with his daughter. Whether he's supportive (most likely) or hesitant (my personal head canon), it has the potential to be really fun/funny and heartwarming.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?
Carla/Mateo is one of the only Mateo ships that I can tolerate. Sorry not sorry. It's this and like two non-existent rare pairs . And even then, I don't think I am ever doing more than casually enjoying it, since my Mateo indifference is so strong. (I do really like Carla though and have a few more ships with her).

My brain has been eating an idea of Ghost and Toast being a evil gay duo and now I think I've got like a whole swap AU with Ghost/Toast and Jimmy/Gavin
Gavin steals this object that he has no clue what it does. At first he was just going to sell it for a quick buck, but further inspection (and some dead guy freaking out when they spot it) suggests something more paranormal. Gavin doesn't deal with that kinda stuff so he begrudgingly calls Johnny and gives it to him and makes it P.I.E's problem.
Then things start having over the next months. For one: there's been an increase in murders recently, but surprisingly, Gavin can't seem to see their spirits. Usually when a murder happens, he'll note the victim's ghost somewhere nearby, but that hasn't happened. Odd.
Second: Johnny might have something to do with it. gossip he's picked up often mentions suspicions surrounding his twin. That gives Gavin pause: yeah, Johnny can be violent and he's commited manslaughter, but murder? No.
Then it gets worse one late night, when Gavin gets woken by frantic knocks on the window and a familiar voice: "heyy GavGav! Can you let me in?" He opens the blinds to see Jimmy on the window sill looking... Oddly alive, and uncharacteristically nervous. He lets him in (because what other option is there?) And demands an explanation.
Turns out, that device he gave Johnny has the ability to remove ghosts from their dimension. Full on gone, never to be seen again. At first they used it sparingly, but after one of Jimmy's possession, something in Ghost snapped - and he started killing on his own.
At first Jimmy was proud: he's just like him now! Yippee! Then Toast started using the device to remove the victims, and they started feeling a bit invincible. After all, why worry about hauntings when you can just delete them in a matter of seconds? Then came Ghost's comments about issues with "a certain someone" - Jimmy knew it was him. And he was starting to feel a tiny bit of panic... Probably.
So one night, enough was enough: Jimmy didn't like how things were going (and that's saying something) and he wanted them to stop. So he possessed Ghost and tried to talk to Toast about it.
He used the device on him. And they split.
Ghost groggily woke up to a knocked out Jimmy and worried Toast checking to see if he was ok. He was fine, but came the question: what to do with Jimmy? They can't use the device how that he's somewhat alive, and it's too risky to kill him again, so they just lock him in the basement until they work out the details.
Jimmy felt like pray in those few days. He had no idea if he was alive again (he's similar to Spooker, except more obvious) or what they'd do to him, and felt fear for the first time. Of course, he found a way to break out. The rope they used to tie him up was old and weathered, so it was easy to use friction to snap them, and a slow and careful search in Ghost's bag led to him getting his knife.
He knew he should've just stabbed them right then and there. He didn't know why he didn't. Instead he scampered off to a safe hiding spot, and decided to head to the only person he knew that was nearby: Gavin.
Gavin is stunned. This had gone way out of hand: there's a new killer duo at hand, one being his brother; noone could trace back to them; and the only person that could've done something is in his apartment.
So yeah: the Johnnys get a taste for blood and Gavin and Jimmy now have to work out how to deal with them, considering they have the power to full on delete you before you can say anything, and Jimmy can't possess Ghost anymore.
Sounds like a hectic plot in the making— I’d read that fic! ^^
I do wonder how the other members of PIE are handling this descent into the “dark side”, and if opposition is even possible, considering the banishment thing.
The turn toward violence and stuff from our main guys could be the influence of something paranormal as well, since Gavin’s assessment of the PIE guys not being really violent before this does make the downward spiral more difficult to do without a nudge. It’ll be both easier to solve and explain if there’s something else at the root of this.
I do wonder what PIE intends to get out of active murder and ghost vanishing. Maybe there’s a goal they’re working toward that they always knew was an option but never had the guts to risk so many people to do it?

Total Drama Danganronpa Island Chapter 4 Deadly Life Spoilers:
Tw: I talk about suicide and cancel culture in the story
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I myself have never experienced having suicidal thoughts. The only time I can recall where I came close was getting braces. Yeah. So you can imagine the research I had to do, especially since in this very fic, I’ve been pretty dismissive of mental illnesses and disorders. That I apologize for and hope I can do better.
This was something I felt more than anything, I CANNOT dismiss this, nor can I sugarcoat it. I have to be as respectful to it as possible, and actively discourage the idea. Never know if there’s a crippled person out there that sees your work and takes it to heart. (That’s a nightmare for me. To have something I made be responsible for someone’s death)
I have a romantic partner with chronic illnesses for almost ten years now, and still no cure. Multiple times, they’ve shared to me their suicidal thoughts, thoughts that made me scared of losing them. They’re still alive, and they say over and over again it’s because of me.
I’m someone who has a hard time talking coherently. That’s why my social media presence is mostly text. So Bridgette’s speech here, I personally see it as me talking to the people struggling to find something to live for and never give up even where there’s literally no hope left. There’s always something, even when you don’t see it at the moment. Someone to love, someone who loves you, a book you like, a show you like, nice walks, whatever. There’s something. You can’t experience those good things if you’re dead.
There’s also some cancel culture commentary here. Everyone’s a part of it whether we consciously know it or not. It’s really sad.
I cant count how many times Ive said something whether in real life or online and I become self-conscious whenever someone has a certain response. One wrong word and a whole group of people can hate you. That’s all it takes.
In the realm of fame, either you’re a role model or you’re a disgrace. Nothing in between.
Total Drama isn’t any different from this subject matter with Gwen in particular. Something I feel a lot if people overlook.
There are some cases where it’s lies and the person is innocent, you may find a few examples of such, and that's just heartbreaking.
But what happens when you ACTUALLY screw up? Make a mistake? Make a fool out of yourself? Like humans do? (I.e, Gwen) Cancel Culture tells you you’re therefore an awful person with no redeeming qualities, and that one mistake suddenly becomes your whole life. It’s heartbreaking especially when the cancelled person WANTS to own up and be better, but the people just don’t have it.
Then there's the other side of cancel culture, which many famous people, such as Chris, use to defend TRULY terrible people and say the world is in the wrong.
Either way, Gwen was treated like dirt and sent to suffer for an old mistake, for so long until she lost hope altogether and bailed on fighting. The others could've helped her, but only Duncan took the time to consider helping, and he tried to commit suicide... so what other influence was there for Gwen in a world where she really needed a friend?
Does this mean the other campers are entirely to blame? No. But there is a lesson for them to learn here about empathy and redemption as a concept. Them hating her is understandable if you the audience want to see it as understandable reasons to hate Gwen, but did they go about it the right way? No.
Gwen Ellis is nothing short of a tragedy and a cautionary tale of a minor being a victim of cancel culture.
And the surviving campers want to make sure that her fate never happens to anybody else ever again.
And in case you’re wondering why Bridgette is the one who gave the eulogy, when Duncan and Courtney were right there, 1) Neither were very mentally stable at the time 2) Bridgette is one of the hosts with who WAS Geoff (And is now Leshawna. Platonically.), so she has the experience to give speeches like this in front of people. That and she has the calm agency to be mature about the situation, especially how she, more than anyone, feels like she HAS to own up to her mistake of being a part of the fuel that lead to the death of this girl.
And she didn't have to do that, and no one would blame her. Gwen killed Geoff, forced to or not, and Bridgette was understandably upset and could still hold that grudge even after Gwen's death, and no one would blame her. But the fact that she took ownership after realizing what's happened says a lot about her as a person.

warning for unnecessarily long ask ahead but 100% yes on the "robin trying to find dignity in dying" thing he does not want to accept that his death was that far out of his control. we wants to believe that he had some influence in the matter, like that he could have survived but just made some kind of stupid preventable misstep somewhere
i've also always entertained the idea that maybe later down the line, after the events of the movie, he might try to find some false reassurance in his fate by being like "well, i had to be down there to give finn the nudge he needed. if i hadn't been taken in the first place, he'd be dead, and the grabber would keep killing. it just had to end that way. it had to." <- desperately trying to deny that it could've gone any other way because if so then he suffered for no reason and had no agency or choice and nothing can be done to fix it and he'll never get to grow up and make his dad proud and-
nope. he can't let himself think about that. it's... too much.
my friend tommy and i were once talking abt robin and they said "he wanted to be more than just a tragedy but now that's all he'll ever get the chance to be" and i immediately wanted to strangle them that line has STUCK with me it's so accurate and it makes me so sad
but i can imagine having been given a chance to actually live, that mindset wouldn't stick quite as hard, since now that he's alive and can feel more willing to entertain certain scenarios, he'd think about how finn was able to kill the grabber and he'd think Fuck... Why couldn't that have been me. Why couldn't i have done that instead. If he could do it why shouldn't i have been able to. WHICH leads him into hardcore blaming himself for his own death and finney being kidnapped in the first place
he doesn't want to delve too far into self pity and just... dwell on that, because he's alive! he's fucking alive! he needs to get his shit together and move on, right? he can't waste this second chance. not now that he has it, when he thought he'd never have a shot at it!
but... god. he just can't help it sometimes. just zoning out and imagining alternate scenarios where he gets the upper hand and bludgeons the grabber's head with that fucking phone so hard that his face doesn't even look like a face anymore. he gets wrapped up in the violence of it a lot. wishing a million times worse his own fate on the man who's already received his comeuppance. although, to robin, it really didn't seem harsh enough.
he wishes they could've gotten knives involved. kill the fucker with his own axe, actually. no- chainsaws. How could he have possibly accessed a chainsaw in those circumstances? it doesn't fucking matter because imagining that monster under the whirring blade is cathartic as hell and robin loves it. if you asked him, (and he'd be lying,) that's the only "coping mechanism" he'll ever need.
...i didn't actually mean to go off on that tangent about the grabber dying brutally and sometimes whenever i do that i feel like i got possessed by the spirit of robin for a second but like yeah do ya get me
I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, I want to pick apart your brain because your Robin takes and headcannons are so frickin good!!!
Like yes, I get it. Robin would have those moments of fantasies of what if he was the one to never die, what if he was the one to kill the grabber and not Finn. He would get swept up in the violence of it all because that’s his own fucking abuser, a man who canonically sexually assaulted him why wouldn’t he want to turn his face into a puddle of brains and blood. He will never get that chance of revenge both dying and coming back, and I think sometimes those thoughts scare him because of how violent they actually are.
Just this. I’m taking this and shaking it by the neck like a goose my god.
Also how dare your friend say that, expect my therapy bill by the end of next month, how dare, how dare!!

MA QUANTO TEMPO, wait that I'll throw you some family prompts.
Tumblr media
👩, 👍 for Hawke, 💕, ✨ for Ankh, 😞, ⚰️ for Ela!
( of course, skip any you don't like, they're… A lot, LOL)
GLI EONI 💛💛
Tumblr media
Hawke:
👩 - What's your muse's relationship with their mother, what made it that way?
Leandra is a very cautious person, protective of her children. Being Hawke the guy with the thunderous laugh in the back of the room and the occasional "I turned Carvers hair into moss because he was being annoying" sibling, you can see why their relationship was rocky to say the least. Malcolm acted like Switzerland between them but most of the times it wasn't enough. They were clearly different people, they still are.
It's when Malcolm died that Hawke realized that his mother was acting a certain way for a reason, consequently he changed his behavior to ease her role as a single parent. He soon became someone to rely on, working alongside her with much more passion, plus he toned down his personality to avoid unpleasant attentions.
Usually, when parents are left alone with children depending on them, they either become superheroes with iron shoulders or they look for another adult in the room for assistance. In Hawke's case, unfortunately the second option happened. He was treated like the other adult in the household while he was still developing his identity. I think that's one of the reasons why Carver just antagonizes him at every possible occasion; he's not his dad and he's not acting like his silly big brother again. Who is Hawke? Why he's in charge? Why does he think it's best to do certain things without even consulting him and Bethany about it?
I can sympathize with Leandra for acting like this tho, growing three kids (two of them being mages) without someone helping is probably one of the hardest roles you can ever have. "Yeah but she could've asked for help rather than putting such responsibilities to her kid"
Listen Judy, the woman has kids with magic. What if she asked for help to the wrong person? One that could give templars a call and just take what's left of her family away, for example. She's alone, in a different country, her dreams have just been shattered in the worst way. She's just a human trying to survive an environment that is trying to crush her; realistically, a perfect reaction to crises rarely occurs.
What I'm trying to say is, Leandra's situation has never been easy. But she was also the adult in the room and she wasn't fair with her older kid.
Hawke took the lead because he understood his mother's struggle, but she failed to fulfill her children needs in return. But she also did her best? That's why Hawke was adamant to give her a better life in Kirkwall, he knows she could have done more, but also he knows that she just needs a different environment to grow and thrive.
tl;dr: he knows her flaws, but he can't help but love her profoundly even if he has all the rights to fail and process his trauma without having to act like nothing can touch him
👍 - Does your muse think they’re a good child and/or sibling?
No, because he blames himself for everything bad happened to his family. But he's a great child and sibling.
Ankh:
💕 - What are your muse’s thoughts on parenting and being a parent even if they aren’t one?
Actually, I never planned anything for this lol
I know she wants to generate a chaos elemental and the guy is into the idea as well, but there are quite the maluses involved in such a concept (anchor messing up with the inquisitor's body, age, lyrium influence on fertility, plus elves being unfortunate when it comes to their reproductive system). Hopefully they'll have that experience, I'm just not too eager to explore the implications surrounding it :'D and Bonbon is already a fulltime parenting job. Could be a training ground for the most poofy haired kid in existence? We'll see, we'll see
✨ - How important is family to your muse?
Fundamental.
Her concept of family is different from the standard parent 1 parent 2 (3,4...), plus spawn. For her, family is the ensemble of all her loved ones, including her clan, her people in general, and the ones who entered her life by seeking her protection. She doesn't think of her blood relatives more than she would think of Cassandra.
Which is why when someone betrays her, the world just stops making sense.
Ela:
😞 - Finding an orphaned child would your muse opt to take them in, find someone more qualified, or just leave them?
A Warden's life is not suited for a child. Before the Chantry just forced the Wardens to get rid of Anders, probably she would have left them to a flock of mothers/sisters to take care of them. In this moment she would probably claim a couple of favors and place them in the most suitable household. The girl has a heart
⚰️ - How would the loss of a family member affect them? Does it vary based on type of family member?
Being a traumatized orphan still, she would take the loss of his brother in the most heartbreaking way possible. She knows her clock is ticking faster than his, and it would be an upsetting surprise if he was the one walking through the Veil first.
She would honor his name by all means, even if this would end in losing all the freedom she struggled to capture all those years she was away from Highever. She would return home and stay in court to protect the designated heir until the situation is cleared from any threat, sacrificing her tasks in order to celebrate what her brother accomplished while she was away.
Now
If Alistair died (Warden Alistair in my worldstate) it would be tragic in the most greek-theatre-like possible way, because he became the most stable presence in her life since the loss of her family. He's the air she breathes, her compass whenever the morality of a situation gets blurry, the man that made her say "not all men suck" for once. She wants to give him a better future, it's irrelevant if she's involved in it or not.
She knows she's on borrowed time, grasping every minute with what's left of her nails, but he doesn't need to carry such burden. He deserves happiness, he deserves the world. And she wants to give it to him on a silver platter.
If her brother died she would have a plan, but if Alistair died nothing in her life would make sense anymore.

I feel like in general Larian could've done more with the fact that if you play Durge you are playing a demigod. Maybe my opinion of that will change once I've played the first two games, but for now like. please. I'm literally made of divine gore, I feel like that should do more than give me bad dreams and occasionally make me kill people. I love the idea of Durge messing with the Emperor's head due to the Emperor constantly trying to get into their head because turns out that poking around in the mind of a murder demigod is just a little more risky of a prospect than poking around in the mind of a duke. The Emperor would be fine if he just left them alone, but noooooo. But consider also that maybe for the most part being telepathically connected to Durge doesn't affect the party too badly (it's not like they're constantly in each other's heads, after all), but when in combat the bloodlust tends to spill over and that's when we get the fucked up pack-hunting dynamics as Durge's need to kill and natural affinity for the best way to slaughter reaches through the tadpoles and starts influencing everyone else.
Ough the idea of post-temple redemption Durge fantasizing about Gortash comforting them. Because the thing is, it would make sense for Durge to want comfort after that? I mean, they lose their family forever. Orin's dead, Sceleritas is dead, their father—who I get the impression that they really did love, in a deeply fucked up way—wants nothing to do with them now, and they've made themself faithless (or false. Withers says faithless but apparently according to Forgotten Realms lore they're actually false. The semantics aren't super important right now though) by breaking free of Bhaal, kind of leaving their soul in serious danger when they eventually bite it unless Jergal manages to sort something out for them before that point. A part of their being was ripped out of them, it killed them and they could only come back because Withers chose to revive them in order for them to complete their current quest (even if they explicitly didn't want to be brought back). No matter how relieved and happy they are to be free of Bhaal's control it's a lot of heavy shit, at best I imagine they'd feel incredibly conflicted about what happened. But the companions all very openly think that Durge should be delighted and only delighted about being separated from Bhaal, and since the whole Bhaal's Chosen reveal is taken so badly by everyone it would make sense for Durge to think they'd have to pretend to be nothing but happy about this situation whether they are or not. It would make sense for them to desperately want someone, anyone to say "I know that this is hurting you and it is okay that it is and you still deserve comfort even though what happened was for the best." And since Gortash is the only person they've met who actually liked and cared about them when they were Bhaal's Chosen (and who's still alive) and they may or may not also have a feeling that he'd be proud of them for escaping Bhaal's clutches from their lost memories, it would also make sense for him to be the person their mind goes to when they think about someone offering that! And yeah, while I think the party would eventually realize that expecting Durge to be entirely fine with losing their family and having a piece of them ripped away was a little unreasonable even though it was objectively the best possible outcome (they tend to miss things about Durge but they are neither cruel nor completely emotionally dense, it'd take a bit but they'd figure it out and also probably be very apologetic about missing it to begin with)... oh boy would their initial reaction to learning that Durge wants Gortash to comfort them over this not be good.
I wonder what the party sees when their tadpoles connect with Durge's. I mean, you get flashes of their memories but Durge doesn't have any memories. Do they just see the nautiloid?

Hey so I was reading Nezarec's Sin lore tab again because brain rot.
and something stuck out to me.
specifically this passage: "..And his sin—so wicked, so divine—is that he will never cower when dusk does fall, but stand vigilant as old stars die and new Light blinks its first upon this fêted eternity."
more specifically the fact that light is capitalized and that he stands against the dusk.
plus the fact that its called Nezarec's Sin, & Traitor's Vessel
leads me to believe that
1) Sin's lore is potentially from the perspective of a pro Winnower/Witness individual(s)
and 2) that Nezarec betrayed the Witness at some point and has sided againt it.
After all can't be a god of pain if no one else is left alive
That's the general idea, yeah!
It's possible that whatever Savathun did to stop the full destruction of the Traveler during the Collapse somehow involved Nezarec's betrayal of the Witness. I'm sure that we will be learning more about the Collapse soon, possibly in Lightfall, and what exactly happened when the Darkness suddenly left the system, apparently defeated, but with the Traveler dormant after creating Ghosts. There's a lot of stuff that we have no clue about, especially now that Savathun has been revealed as having been there and having helped the Traveler.
Neomuna, having not gone through the Collapse, should have information about it from their point of view as outsiders that survived. Bringing up Savathun's involvement, establishing the Witness, the disciples and now going in depth about Nezarec as a disciple in charge of the Lunar Pyramid all in this year seems to me as a setup to tell us more about the Collapse, the nature of the Witness' attack and how to stop it all now that its attack is heating up again.
However, it's important to note that it doesn't seem likely that Nezarec betrayed the Witness because he wanted to side with the Light. Given that Nezarec's philosophy is still to this day very much rooted in Darkness, it's far more likely that Nezarec felt like the Witness might lose in the Collapse and wanted to switch sides to those that he considered more powerful. He has since, even in death, helped influence many into following a Darkness path, including Guardians, who are arguably the strongest right now. And siding with the strongest is the central belief of the Darkness.
Obviously, we still have very little information about him so a lot of our assumptions can turn out to be wrong, but it's undeniable that Nezarec is still very much a being aligned with Darkness. If he betrayed the Witness, which seems likely, it was probably for his own benefit and not to help us directly. As you said in the last line, it's kind of futile to be a god of pain and have all the power of a disciple and for everyone to be dead so you can't exert that power.
I also believe that much like Rhulk was in charge with converting entire species to Witness' side (Worm Gods, the Hive, the Ahslid (failed)), Nezarec may have been in charge of doing the same to humanity. So to him, the Witness coming over to kill everyone would've been a waste of potential. If there's no humans to influence, then Nezarec can't really do his job. He was very likely enjoying the prospect of corrupting us. Humanity being alive (and powerful) is much more beneficial than us being dead. It could've been motivation to side against the Witness.

A full list of duo's and trio's I like in the Another series, i'd love it if any of you would consider these ^-^ I even made names for all of these lol
Dra1;
Duo's:
Delivery service (Akane & Teruya) I can't explain this one, th-they just stand next to each other during the trial and somehow it turned into me liking them as a possible comedic friendship duo.
Clockwork duo (Fake Yuki & Yamato) The freetime events, also yamato's comment on him wishing "yuki" could've always been like this or something like that.
Holy glass duo (Kinji & Haruhiko) These two have so much potential as a duo just look at both of their free time events, they'd get along so flippin well.
Baton duo (Satsuki & Tsurugi) chapter 4, satsuki being a good influence and helping tsurugi lighten up warms my heart.
Schematic duo (Rei & Yamato) Their small interactions during the what if chapter made me interested, i'd love to try and come up with the wacky hijinks these two would commit.
Two cell duo (Haruhiko & Teruya) The bestie's, the best bro's, need I say more?
Web gear duo (Kiyoka & Mikako) I can't exlain this one but I think kiyoka and pre kg mikako would get along really great
Prisim duo (Teruya & Yamato) The sillies, rare pair of all time, short person and tall person, teruya's wackiness rubs off on yamato at times, they watch anime together, they do movie marathons together, teruya comes up with the silliest invention ideas and sometimes yamato actually makes them. Also both become symbols of hope for others.
Switchblade duo (Ayame & Akane) Do I even need to explain this one? chapter 2, the school flashback, akane redeeming herself because of ayame
flame duo (Rei & Tsurugi) haha rivals
Chesspiece duo (Tsurugi & Yamato) They were best friends, they totally no homoly played chess, I will never be over them
Sun and Moon duo (Utsuro & Yamato) shakes them what is with these two!? yamato doesn't take utsuro's bullshit, utsuro just rolls his eyes at him, and yet its implied alter ego kisaragi was able to stop the monokuma's because of him!? It was definitely not fake yuki who did that or yamato wouldn't be dead in general, so it had to be utsuro, so what gives sir!? Also everything in chapter zero, homo rivals 100% Also did you know part of yamato's name or surname means moon while the sun is apparently supposed to represent despair in this series? yeah, yeah these two are so nuts.
Trio's:
Healing web (Mikako, Ayame, & Akane) Mikako helps calm akane down in that one scene, I already explained ayame & akane, mikako and ayame totally did races together during hopes peak time, they could be such a cool trio.
Hyper care trio (Kanata, Ayame, & Satsuki) 3 of the kindest characters in the game, ayame probably needs kanata's health expertise a lot, satsuki cheers ayame on at matches, satsuki takes mild intrest in kanata's work and listens to her talk about it sometimes, kanata watches satsuki preform while also helping her incase she gets injured, they have movie nights and game nights, they also play d&d together. The they.
Professional trio/The three K's (Kinji, Kakureru, Kanata) Chapter zero, I also think they are just in general peek healthy friend group goals
Balloon trio/Sunshine trio (Haruhiko, Teruya, & Satsuki) The goofy friend trio I wish I could have, they are literally so sweet they deserve everything.
Survivor trio (Rei, Tsurugi,& Teruya) they are everything to me, they could have been such good friends/poly couple (potentially), if only tsurugi got therapy.
Sdra2;
Duo’s:
Analyzer duo (Kokoro & Sora) sora could be a decent influence on kokoro while helping sora get better at figuring stuff out during trials, also they would totally stay up and text each other.
Shiny Colors duo (Hibiki & Yuri) idk, I just think if yuri got past his dream just a bit I think he and Hibiki would be a kinda iconic duo, like they’d just click? I can’t really explain it but I think they could’ve been an interesting duo
Inkblot duo (Iroha & Nikei) siblings siblings siblings siblings, I’ve already explained a bit on Nikei and iroha possible relationship, they have sibling energy so much and I wish we got more interactions with them cause I bet they’d be sweet.
Smile therapy (Yoruko & Emma) yoruko complains about something and Emma listens, Emma vents to yoruko after opening up and she helps her with her trauma, they drink smoothies together, Emma helps yoruko keep her composure and control her temper, they take pictures together, they have friend potential I swear.
Bloody Mary duo (Mikado & Kanade) they come together just to make others suffer, they are a match made in hell and are each others only real friends tbh. They have surprisingly a few things in common and they bond over their shared bloodlust.
Poppy duo (Teruya & Yuki) they both deserve better and have suffered immensely, also teruya getting to know the real yuki while yuki has someone to look up to (aside from shinji) and listen to teruya ramble about fashion with interest, they are sweet.
Note sheet duo (Hibiki & Nikei) omg two of the begonia trio. Nikei interviews Hibiki and Hibiki rambles and complains to Nikei and listens intently while writing some of it down so he can keep it in mind, they bond over their devotion to their work and hatred of the Bloody Mary duo.
Lazy duo (Iroha & Syobai) epilogue, also maybe syobai helps Iroha get a backbone while Iroha helps Syobai let people in his life.
Cotton candy duo (Yoruko & Setsuka) setsuka helps yoruko be more outgoing, does her nails sometimes, helps yoruko warm up to people more while yoruko opens up her thoughts and feelings to setsuka and helps get advice on how to handle things, yoruko becomes friendlier and more laidback thanks to setsuka.
Rainbow flame (Shinji & Yuri) Shinji being the one to reach out to yuri and helping him warm up to other men because of how Shinji while pretty loud and a bit aggressive is also a huge sweetheart that cares for everyone.
Caged Sparrows (Sora & Nikei) nikei’s free time events, watch them. They are a mix of funny, interesting, and heartbreaking. I wish they got more interactions outside of the fte’s, also I’m convinced they’d either be partners or rivals.
Fake merch duo (Teruya & Syobai) teruya is a good influence on Syobai, Syobai is a bad influence on teruya. Teruya does not take Syobai’s shit, Syobai is somewhat refreshed by it.
Apple pun duo (Emma & Hajime) void theater, also they give off mom friend and dad friend energy and it’s amazing.
Sun vs Space (Mikado & Yuri) possibly could’ve had a really interesting dynamic, like chapter 1 hinted at a possible dynamic low key but we never got it so yeah I want this explored. Also yuri tolerating mikado because he’s smart enough to know not to ignore or underestimate the literal mastermind of the game, and mikado at least somewhat respecting yuri because of that.
Trio’s:
Begonia/trauma trio (Hibiki, Nikei, Teruya) OMG begonia trio my favs, I already covered why I like them but again they just have so many things in common and I just know they would be good influences on each other. Nikei teaching Hibiki to not take anyones bullshit, teruya and nikei possibly reconciling and bonding over their care for others and trust issues, teruya being someone Hibiki could vent to and be validated for being upset, teruya helping the others recover from their trauma while he heals just from being with them, I love them I love them so much.
Nail painting trio (Sora, Yoruko, & Setsuka) they literally had friend group potential linuj literally said so. I’m just imagining what a great influence setsuka would have been on Sora and yoruko and the fun hijinks that could’ve ensued with these three plus how it could’ve possibly affected the story. Seriously I don’t stay this enough, linuj should’ve let Sora interact with people other than yoruko or yuki more.
Void theater trio (Hajime, Emma, & Nikei) Do I need to explain, they have such a fun dynamic in void theater I wish we could see them interact when not dead and Nikei is not in a anger fit, I want more void interactions please.
Workout buddies (Yuki, Shinji, & Hajime) the bros, the buddies, the best buds. Yuki having two older bros, Shinji and Hajime’s friendship, combined it would be wholesome bro hours times two.
Rainbow trio (Iroha, Yuri, & Teruya) I think Iroha and teruya would be good influences for yuri, teruya and yuri being closer to Iroha would help her become more confident, and Iroha and yuri bond with teruya over their interests and help teruya improve his fashion designs.
The sun, The moon, And space (Mikado, Setsuka, & Yuri) just the space theme, and the complex dynamic of these three. Setsuka and yuri probably bonded on their own time and setsuka being setsuka eventually helped yuri get better with his unhealthy view of his dream, but when Nikei asks for her help she decides to for whatever reason invite mikado to join their little hang outs and oddly he accepts, like he probably knows she’s up to something but the three end up hanging out anyways and they somehow make it work. This obviously takes place in a au where yuri lives past chapter 1.
Bonus:
Groups larger than three plus crossover duos and trios:
Pain trio/Gladiolus trio (Mikado, Tsurugi, & Kanade) the exact opposite of the begonia trio, they are the ones that cause the pain and trauma, they only make each other worse, and I have a love hate relationship with them. Mikado and Kanade Soly bond over their fucked up mind sets and are in this trio for their own selfish needs. Who the hell knows how Tsurugi ended up with these two but it’s not like he hadn’t worked with criminals before, so he’s probably in this for his own selfish goal as well. I imagine the latter two being a horrible influence on Tsurugi while Tsurugi treats them as mere tools for his own benefit. Like I said, they are the exact opposite of the begonia trio, but their dynamics interesting to think about at least. Also they get a flower based name too, look up the gladiolus the symbolism fits these three well I think.
The amnesiac gang (Yuki, Yamato, Sora, Kokoro, & Teruya) they all have amnesia in some way and that bonds them, plus all these different kinds of people in a friend group is fun to think about. I imagine this friend group taking place in a non despairish au, Kokoro being her teen self and not related to mikako in anyway, and Sora being akane or someone else completely depending on interpretation. Also whether yuki is the real one or fake one is up to you guys it works either way.
The house of AI’s (Monocrow, Sora, AE Utsuro, AI Kisaragi, & Mikado) all the ai’s in the series as a group, what will they do. I think this is one of my favorite possible dynamics because they wouldn’t simply all become friends like…mikado and utsuro are in this group. They’d have such a complex relationship and I think it’d be neat to explore.
Space gang (Setsuka, Yuri, Mikado, Yamato, and Utsuro) omg all the space themed peoples. This groups a mess and yet you would catch them talking to each other every once in awhile, they also have a group chat. Non despair au obviously but mikados probably a annoying lil bitch still.
Smart gang (Yuri, Kokoro, Kanade, & Syobai) the iconic group. they probably have the same classes, have their own lunch table, and got a group chat in a non despair au. They probably wouldn’t get along in canon but I think they’d still bond a bit.
Therapy quartet (Yoruko, Kokoro, Akane, & Tsurugi) This is literally just these bitches need therapy and yoruko and kokoro answering the call but it’s mostly going to be yoruko, she’s the sanest in this group. Also all of them being people others look up to but need some help themselves.
Utsuro & Sora: did you know that both of their names mean empty? I’m dead I can’t believe it either. Anyways protag solidarity, I wonder how they’d get along if Sora wasn’t having a existential crisis.
anyways that’s all of them though I’m sure I forgot some, I’ll just make a part 2 post. Let me know your favorite duos, trios, and groups and why I’d love to see all of yours ^-^

I Dare You To Kiss Me
brooke davis x fem!reader
summary: after a long night of sneaking out of your parents house to go for a late night swim with Brooke. The two of you end up staying at your place, sleeping in the same bed.
warning: slight mention of homophobia and internalized homophobia, but mostly just fluff
words: 1236
requests: open (I write for glee, the vampire diaries universe including the originals and legacies, teen wolf, and one tree hill)
a/n: I love Brooke, and I wanna write her. And she's probably gonna be the only oth character I write for. I might write for Haley, Nathan, maybe even Lucas. Still debating. Also a few of the lines are inspired from Life is Strange because I love Pricefield. Don't judge me. Also its a little cringey and cheezy, but I like to do that once in a while, so...

gif not mine *but she's absolutely gorgeous*
You and Brooke had stayed at your place after having fun at the schools swim pool. Your parents didn't know, they thought you were fast asleep, so you and your best friend snuck through the window and had slept in the same bed.
You always had these weird feelings for Brooke that were completely unexplained. You lived in a Christian household where you were taught that two people of the same sex being together was bad, and that they'd got to hell. But at school, you were taught that love is love. You and Brooke were best friends since Junior High along with Peyton too. You three had become your own unholy trinity. Then it became a quartet in junior year when Haley James, now Haley James Scott due to her and Nathan marrying last year.
In the morning, you had woken up to Brooke's arm wrapped around your waist, pulling you close, so that your back was pressed against her chest. You felt both comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time. You didn't want it to stop, but yet you were terrified of the fact you'd most likely get caught. Then your parents would send you to boarding school, or conversion therapy. Or both.
You slowly got up from your bed, moving Brooke's arm off of you. You went over to the bedroom door and walked down the hall to your parents bedroom. You put your ear on the door and heard nothing, then opened the door to see both of your parents gone.
They could've gone to work, but you walked downstairs to make sure. If they weren't at work or in bed. Your dad be sitting on the couch watching a football game, and your mom cooking breakfast. But they weren't here, you saw a note on the fridge saying 'breakfast I'd in the fridge. Enjoy! - love, mom'
You appreciated the fact your mom made food for you. You saw she made French toast, you had that with a glass of milk. As you were eating, Brooke had decided to sneak up on you and spooked you, "Boo ya!" and that made you spill the rest of your milk all over your clothes.
"Jesus, what the fuck is wrong you?"
"Chill. I was just having fun." she responds. You slowly got up from your seat and went back upstairs and tried looking through clothes, you felt Brooke put her hand on your shoulder, "You know, I left clothes of mine the other day you can wear. Since your going through a fashion crisis."
"My parents would kill me if they saw me wearing your clothes. They already think you're a bad influence on me. The other day, I heard my mom slut shaming you just because you wore a crop top." you responded, still searching for clothes. Brooke had rolled her eyes, "Oh, come on, y/n. Stop second guessing yourself. Put this on, and let your inner bitch flow through you and come out. You can afford to take chances! Whenever and whatever you want to try... for example, I dare you to kiss me!"
You were in complete poker face at that last sentence and spoke up, "What?"
"I double dare you. Kiss me now."
You had all the power in the world. One choice and there's a possibility of ruining your friendship. But then there was an opportunity to become something more if Brooke wasn't joking about it.
You were in love with Brooke since 7th grade, but even you didn't know it. But Peyton did. Five years later and nothing has changed, feelings were still the same you had. Yet you were clueless to the fact that you like girls. You took the chance you had and you leaned forward and kissed Brooke. She backs away in surprise, "Wow... I knew you would do it. I thought you were too chicken. But goddamn you're hardcore y/n. I mean, we can try again."
You immediately started stammering, "W-wait, what? Um... I'm not gay. I just would never pass up on a dare."
"I know when you lie. I've known you for years." She pulled a piece of a your hair behind your ear, "You think I'm that clueless to know that you like me as more than a friend. I mean... I'm Brooke Penelope Davis, I feel absolutely honored I can even pull women without trying." she pulled you a little bit closer, "Come on, y/n. I know you want to kiss me again."
"I can't." you say, "Its wrong. My parents had said a girl kissing a girl is wrong. Same with a guy and a guy."
She cupped your face and said, "It doesn't matter what your parents think. It matters what you think. Is kissing me wrong to you?"
"No. I want it to be. But it feels so right."
She then slowly kissed you deeply. You really liked the idea of kissing your longtime best friend. You felt her put her hands onto your hips as you two began making out, with her pushing you against the wall, attacking your neck with kisses from your chest to your jaw. With her her whispering in your ear, "It does feel right doesn't it?"
"Yes." you answered with your eyes closed. But then you heard your phone ring, bringing the both of you back to reality, "Great. Phone cockblocking me." you had answered the phone and had a conversation with your mom on the other line.
"Hey mom.... Yeah thanks for the breakfast, it was great..... No its okay, I'll go have lunch with Brooke--" then at that moment the Davis girl started planting more kisses onto your neck, you tried not to distract yourself as you heard your mom say that it was okay," Alright. Thank you mom. I love you too. Bye." you hung up the phone and turned to Brooke and playfully shoved her, "Not cool, B. Davis."
"Don't act like you didn't enjoy it."
"Still, I didn't need you, girl kissing my neck whilst I'm on the phone with my Christian homophobic mother. If she found out, she'd disown me."
"Then live with me and Haley." she says, "You can come out. And if your parents don't accept you and kick you out. You have a place to stay."
"Thank you. I really want to, but I don't have the courage."
Brooke gave you a soft peck on the lips, "Deep down you do, y/l/n. You just need to dig a little deeper and find it. And when you do embrace who you are. I am so yours, proudly so. Because who gives a crap what all the other peasants think."
"Thanks. I love you."
"I love you too." and she pulled you into a hug.
The meaning 'I love you' towards each other had more than just a platonic meaning.
