ଓ YATONOKAMI NAYUTA
“You came along, and my heart smiled. So, get rid of those doubts, my love, I’ve been waiting for you.”
— With Nayuta, you realize he’s in love because of his smile.
— His usually apathetic, even melancholy expression, is replaced by an upwards curve to his lips, brimming in a sweetness that is hard to place.
— To anyone who deigns to observe where his iridescent eyes keep looking, they’d find you at the end of the lane.
— It is easy to see, when you two are together. His gaze is a little brighter, that difference that makes you discern dusk from dawn; he seems more energized, the lilt to his voice a tad more upbeat, particles of sundust shining in the words he addresses to you.
— And perhaps everyone notices, and Nayuta hopes you do too.
— And maybe you already have, but alas, fear seems to follow humans in crucial moments, confusing the heart, leading it through twisting alleys that echo the unsavory sounds of ‘what if’.
— What is it’s just all in your head. What if you’re overthinking and reading the signs the wrong way.
— The sighs he lets out, alone, in the dead on night are the unheard confirmation that his feelings for you are real.
— And yet, miles separate you, each of you lying on your side in the blue light of a faded moon.
— But, as they say, every cloud has a silver lining.
— Nayuta just will have to tell you directly, then.
— Or rather, show you.
— You find yourselves on the topmost floor of his secret hideout, the sun casting in coppery hues the thousands of piled up buildings below; a beautiful contradiction, how the slums had a beauty to them at golden hour.
— But so did your moments with Nayuta.
— You found him, the one you hold most dear. It didn’t matter if it was in a place this world had forgotten.
— Because you could never forget Yatonokami Nayuta.
— Nor the kiss he gives you when you turn towards him at the call of your name.
— You can taste the remaining sweetness of the popsicle he was just eating as his hands land on either side of you, stabilizing himself when he leans in further.
— And because there is no way your mind is making up the cool softness of his lips on yours, you kiss him back, hands cradling his cheeks, strands of silken moonshine reflected on puddles after the rain tickling your fingers.
— “Is it clear now, that I like you, my cute [Y/n]?” Nayuta utters, in the sunset lit instants between his kiss and the second one you initiate as an answer.
— You don’t trust your voice right now, so you’ll speak in the language lovers do when words are superfluous.
— And you can be sure, he’ll be asking for more.
ଓ YATONOKAMI KANATA
“Your petals were bloodied amidst the storm and you still shined. When I next realized, I was the thorns, and you, the only rose.”
— Kanata doesn’t know what is it he feels for you.
— And what’s more, he doesn’t know why.
— Weren’t you another one of those rich brats to begin with? It was your fault that day you were in trouble in the rain, being robbed by some troublemakers.
— And yet, the moment you resisted to give them your pocket money and one of the attacker’s hands closed around your wrist, something in Kanata snapped.
— He doesn’t know how, or the reason behind which he found himself throwing punches until those bastards were running away.
— But he knew he didn’t like the sight of the cut they somehow managed to land on your cheek.
— “Thank you for that, but are you okay?” You asked him, checking for bruises on your nameless savior.
— You are the one bleeding and yet, you ask him that.
— “You shouldn’t be here.” Kanata spats, turning away.
— “Wait! What’s your name?” You asked, running to catch up with him.
— He ‘tsks’. Why can’t he leave you alone in the rain? Why does the sight of blood running down a stranger’s face sit so wrong with him?
— Annoyed, he drapes his jacket over your head.
— “You don’t want to know.” Are the last words he tells you, before running off.
— You stand there, dumfounded, the boy’s hoodie shielding you from the rain.
— You’ll be back here tomorrow.
— The sky dyes in shades of peach and lavender, reminding you of the sweet scent of spring. Ironic, in such a cold evening, and even more so in this district.
— You have a feeling you’ll find him again, so you wait. His jacket is neatly folded over your lap, as a stray kitten rubs itself against your leg.
— Then you spot him. Short sleeved t-shirt on, hands buried deep in the pockets of his pants.
— “Put this on, at least!” You call, throwing him his jacket. “Catch!”
— Eyes not unlike the color of the sky widen at the sight of you again.
— “Thank you for yesterday, whatever your name is.” You softly tell the young man, reaching where he stands with the small cat in your arms.
— It meows at him. Extending one of its paws.
— “See? He wants to know your name too!” You pout, holding one of the kitten’s white paws in your hand.
— “Ugh fine! It’s Kanata, okay?”
— “Nice to meet you, Kanata.” You giggle, as the cat paws at your hero’s face.
— And somehow, the way you call his name… It’s pleasant, a sweet melody shining in a world of gray.
— He wants to see you again.
— So, next time, he’s the one to seek you out.
— You always meet at the same place; the street where the white kitten lives. Sometimes it goes home with Kanata, though, and others you bring him to your apartment.
— Time is fleeting, and days become months, with December snow fading to rays of February sun, auguring an early spring.
— And then one day, Kanata isn’t there.
— You wait, with your cat friend, who meows sadly at you, climbing on your lap when the first tears begin to fall.
— That evening you leave, matching cups of ramen left to the freeze of a lonely night.
— However, someone saw this hurtful scene.
— “Care to explain yourself?” Nayuta asks his brother, slamming the door behind him.
— Kanata turns slightly around. “Don’t know what you’re talking about.”
— “Oh, you… You know very well. Why didn’t you go today?”
— To which Kanata shrugs.
— “Fine. I hope you know they left crying.” His younger twin points out. “Will you just face your feelings and accept you’re in love and that they love you?”
— “That’s…” Kanata’s shoulders slump. “They deserve better…”
— “Silly!” His brother intercepts, with a soft flick to his forehead. “And what? They want you. So you better get it together and go find them now!”
— And well, for some reason, Kanata doesn’t need to be told twice.
— Luckily for him, a small friend is there to help.
— Following the kitty, they both manage to locate you.
— “[Y/n]! Wait!” The boy who saved you that night calls, putting a hand on your shoulder.
— “What do you want, Yatonokami?” You ask, tone cold, without turning around.
— It hurts him. The way he’s hurt you, the way you won’t face him, the way you use his last name instead.
— “I’m sorry. I just… I’m stupid, okay? I couldn’t come to terms with- the thing is- I… I… Oh, to hell with it! I like you, okay? And I just didn’t know how to act around you or what to do and I thought you deserved better and so I just stood you up and I messed up.”
— A chuckle is definitely not the answer he was expecting.
— “You are cute when you blush, Kanata.” You murmur, wiping away a stray tear, smiling sweetly at him.
— “I’m not-“ He starts, cheeks blooming in crimson roses.
— “I said it’s cute. You are cute.”
— Droplets of thin rain begin to fall.
— “I like you too, if that wasn’t obvious.” You softly say, with a kiss to his cheeks.
— Much like the night you met, rain surrounds you. This time, it’s his cheek that burns, not because an open wound, but because of the searing sensation of a kiss he won’t forget.
ଓ MARUYAMA REO
“What is the point for a rainbow to hide? Let’s write our love in the sky.”
— Reo is a cutie and he definitely has a way with flirting.
— So that’s exactly what he does.
— He is not shy about it in the slightest, often complimenting you on your new clothes, telling how sweet you are or giving you hugs out of nowhere.
— Of course, all of the above, always that you are comfortable; Reo is very cheerful, but he knows how to read your emotions and pick up what you like and dislike.
— And at first, you didn’t think much of it. Sure, he is very affectionate with you, but he is with everyone else too, right? It’s not like you are receiving special treatment.
— Which, in turn, frustrates Reo more.
— Is he doing something wrong? He’s being pretty obvious, right?
— Or maybe… you don’t feel the same way?
— No, no, no, he can’t fall into negativity.
— He has to take you to a nice date and tell you how he feels directly.
— So, he puts together some money he’s been saving and chooses his cutest outfit. This is a special occasion and he wants to make you happy.
— When you arrive at the accorded spot, Reo is already waiting for you.
— Sure, he is a sunshine, but you didn’t expect an amusement park date, seeming how he and his gang usually preferred to hang out at the ramen place.
— “Hello, [Y/n]!” He greets you, those eyes of his mirroring the sunset clouds lining the horizon. “I got cotton candy hehe. One for you and one for me!”
— You take the sweet treat from him, eyes sparkly at the delicious sugary scent wafting around you.
— “Woaah! It looks so tasty! You’re the best Reo…” You thank him.
— And maybe, just maybe, because this is a date, you leave a cotton candy kiss on his cheek, giggling at the pink remnants left behind.
— To which the boy grins mischievously, bringing his fingers to it and tasting the sugary treat.
— “Hmm… Your kiss was sweeter…” He ponders, as your cheeks heat up. “What if we repeat it, properly this time?”
— And at that moment, beneath the lighting of dusk and attractions, your lips touch for the first time; a memory written over cottony clouds in rosey glaze.
— “I love you, pretty.” Reo utters, nose brushing against yours, when he parts.
— “I love you too, Reo.” Are your words, before you initiate a second kiss.
— Little did you two know, Iori and the rest of the gang are looking from afar, proud of his youngest member (Suiseki is a little jealous, but that’s another story).
ଓ HAJUN YEON
“I’ll erase the piercing words that were etched into your soul that day.”
— This man’s way of flirting is teasing you (change my mind).
— With his fans, he is all smiles and charming phrases, but when he really loves you, you get to see a more… naughty side of him.
— When he teases you, he doesn’t do it out of malice, no.
— He’s been hurt in the past, and even if his infatuation with you grows by the day, a part of him is still afraid he’ll be discarded again.
— The words ‘you are not needed anymore’ still resound inside his mind, no matter how much he smiles or tries to look perfect on the outside.
— So he’s wary of diving into a new relationship.
— But at the same time, you are so lovely… The way you pout when he’s teasing you, or how you call him and wave at him whenever you see him at uni…
— Hajun would really like to spend more time with you.
— “You should.” Anne tells him, when they finally get Hajun to spill the beans. “I know you’re afraid to trust but… Isn’t it lonely, to keep the one you love at a distance?”
— It is, yes.
— It’s painful if he stays away. And the variant of getting hurt hangs in the air if he tries to get closer.
— But, as they say, ships were not made to stay at harbor.
— So he’ll take this chance and hope for the best.
— And for that, you know he’ll use his charm.
— A cute cafe date here; dinner at his place that he cooked himself using organic ingredients there; and of course, the occasional expensive gift you had been eyeing, mysteriously arriving at your doorstep.
— You like all of this, and especially, you like him.
— However, a part of you can’t help but wonder: what does he want with me? What does he get out of all of this?
— With those thoughts, you lie in bed, listening to his music in the new noise canceling headphones you’re sure he’s bought for you.
— You’re so not sleeping tonight. Maybe tomorrow you’ll ask him about what ‘ulterior’ motives he has.
— The model’s vibrant eyes widen slightly behind his glasses when you utter the question.
— “Why me, Hajun? What are you planning?”
— It hurts him. How it seems he’s not the only one with trust issues here.
— So that’s how you think of it. Some kind of twisted game he’s playing to get something out of you.
— “I’m serious here, Hajun.” You insist, tone stern, when all the answer he gives you are the subtle expressions of his face.
— And for once, he decides to be honest. No mask of perfection obscuring the words he next speaks.
— “Because I’ve fallen in love with you, [Y/n]. Because I was afraid to trust, to be left behind, thrown away. But then you came around. And I wanted to spend more time with you. This is no game, not one that I plan on ending anyway.” He whispers that last part to your ear, a knowing smile on his lips as he feels the heat on your cheeks.
— “Hajun… You… You mean that?”
— “More than anything.” He vows, placing a kiss to the back of your hand, the one adorned with the set of silver rings he gifted you, never once breaking eye contact.
— Your fingers slot in between his. You suppose it’s alright to let your heart take command and test the waters.
— After all, you can’t keep denying you’ve been in love with him since the beginning, too. You just never thought he’d end up reciprocating.

You don't remember?
Random af nayuta angst i decided to write cause it was a shower thought in one sitting sksbjdn. Hope u enjoy and 2k plus word is insane me
You guess your first meeting with Nayuta was fairly normal for someone like him. You were just browsing the shelves at the record store when he approached you when you picked up a certain record.
‘Hm? This one is….’ You had picked up a record that caught your interest, getting a familiar feeling from it despite never seeing it before. Maybe.
“Oh that one is-” A person perked up behind you, looking over your shoulder at the record you held in your hands. It looked like his eyes were twinkling at the sight of it.
It startled you at first but you composed yourself and turned to him and held it up. Tilting your head at him. Nayuta never told you but at that he found you cute with your slightly confused expression. That was where you hit it off, talking for a while about music. At first it was him telling you about the record in your hands and then it went to your tastes in music.
Those casual outings soon became more as your friendship blossomed into something more as time went out. The feelings between you two grew stronger each time you hanged out, those casual hangouts became subtle dates at Nayuta’s discretion and soon you ended up becoming a thing.
At some point in time Nayuta introduced you to Shiki and introduced Shiki to you. He was a bit awkward and shy but you smiled at him nonetheless. He seemed like a nice and sweet boy. You felt a bit weird when you found out that Nayuta didn’t tell Kanata about you nor did he know about Shiki too. When you thought about it from his point of view it did make some sense to some extent. Nayuta never had a strong body so he always told you that he didn’t want to make Kanata worry or you and Shiki for that matter of fact. He always kept his outings and dates with you a secret from his twin brother. You supposed you could see where he was coming from, not wanting to constantly be confined in a room at times. You wished you could help him though, him being from the slums and all but he was adamant, never accepting it so you never brought it up again.
The rooftop. That abandoned rooftop at that highrise that no longer is used, is Nayuta’s and Shiki’s hangout spot but it gradually became yours too. Sometimes it being the three of you together talking about some random things looking at the stars, sometimes just you and Nayuta lying down on that couch they brought up cuddling in each other’s embrace, other times it was just you and Shiki, who had gradually got used to your presence and felt less jittery around you as you get to know about each other more. You liked it, you liked this peaceful feeling with them, this relationship with Nayuta, he couldn’t give you much materially but you were content with just him.
That night the three of you were sitting on the rooftop together, the wind blowing your clothes and hair softly. You silently ate on a popsicle you bought earlier before coming, it was quiet before Nayuta spoke up.
“Say, this rooftop is good, isn’t it?”
You nodded looking over the view as Shiki replied his agreement to Nayuta.
“I love looking at the sky from here. Let’s just pretend we don’t see dirty things below.” Nayuta commented again.
Shiki seemed unsure how to answer that out of place slightly negative comment just saying ‘yeah’ while you spoke up.
“But it doesn’t change the fact that it’s still there. You’re still going to have to face it someday.” You weren’t entirely sure what you were talking about when those words came out but it seemed to strike a cord inside Nayuta. “Still it’s pretty to look at…” You mumbled leaning your chin on your hand leaning your weight on your elbow.
“Yeah. It’s pretty good during the evening too, the city lights look like a dance floor from a crowded club. It’s my favourite. A secret place that even Kanata doesn’t know.”
You were surprised at that. It seemed that Shiki was too. “Eh? Is that so?”
“Yeah. Shiki and Y/n are the only people I’ve told this to.” Nayuta squeezed your hand.
It was silent until Shiki brought up a topic you didn’t really like about.
“About that part time job… are you still continuing that?” Shiki asked. Which made your eyes instantly dart to Nayuta’s arm looking for any trace of the metal corrosion. Participating in human experiments as a part time job is enough to leave a bitter taste in anyone’s mouth. Especially if you care a lot about that someone and you were certain Shiki felt the same and had the same thoughts too.
“Ah… yeah.” Nayuta rubbed your knuckles when he sensed that you were looking at him so intensely.
“Don’t you think it’s better if you quit Nayuta? It’s chipping away at your life slowly and you aren’t even….” that healthy in the first place where words that didn’t leave your mouth.
“Not possible. That part time job pays well. I don’t want to burden Kanata anymore. Not only that…Kanata has always lived just for my sake.” You wouldn’t know how true those words would ring until very late into the future.
You were running to that place. The building on the rooftop you usually hung out with them, running up all those flights of stairs ignoring the burn it gave to your legs, ignoring how tired it was making you. You didn’t notice it but Shiki was in front of you by just a bit so you arrived right after he did. Both of you are panting out of breath from running like idiots cause it was weird that Nayuta called out for you to meet so late at night especially when you saw Shiki was here too that something was up.
“Nayuta! What happened?? You suddenly said you want to meet.” Shiki was gasping for air.
“Yeah, Nayuta. Lucky I haven’t slept yet or not. Nevermind that. What’s bothering you?” Your hands were on your knees trying to regain your stable breathing.
“I’m sorry Shiki, Y/n, I just wanted to see you two no matter what.”
“Eh?” The both of you let out, startled.
“Also, I haven’t returned the record I borrowed last time, right? There, the one I put beside you.”
Your eyes darted to the record he was mentioning wondering what was up.
“Ah, if that’s the case, why aren’t you handing it to me personally? Hey, why are you standing in that place? It’s dangerous if a strong wind blows.”
You didn’t realise it until then but he was standing right near the edge. Shiki was right, a strong wind could clearly push him down. “Nayuta! Don’t stand there please?”
Nayuta glanced at you, his eyes telling you he was sorry. “It will blow me away and I’ll fall, right?”
“Then don’t stand there?”
“I’m sorry, what Shiki and you said is right, after all.”
You were confused about what he was going at. So was Shiki.
“I can’t anymor-” Nayuta started coughing. You slowly stepped forward to Nayuta, your eyes filled with worry, hand raised slightly.
Nayuta was panting then, he looked sicker than you’ve ever seen him before then. He rolled up his sleeve and showed the two of you. A nasty colour, no longer like what it was supposed to look like only now it looked like it had been contaminated. It made you grimace. “Take a look at this arm. Destroyed by the metal. I can’t stop it anymore. In an instant, it became like this.”
“No….”
“Nayuta… since when? No… It can’t be.” You were getting closer to him and he realised that too but didn’t mention it.
“I can’t show Kanata this condition. If I do that, I’ll burden him even more. That’s why…I’m thinking of ending it.” He kept coughing. You don’t think when he said he was ending it in the sense of stopping that part time job. You got closer to him, frantic, scared of what you thought might happen but not going too fast in fear of scaring him away.
“I’m very happy to meet you Shiki.” Nayuta….. Nayuta was crying. He looked at you who was inching closer and closer to you. “You too Y/n. It was fun. Thank you. Both of you.”
“Nayuta…hey! That’s dangerous! Hurry up and come her-”
“I’m sorry. I’m weak after all, it’s impossible for me alone but… I decided to do it here for the last time…. In this place Shiki, the place that only the two of you know about.”
Shiki was crying for Nayuta to stop. Your steps got quicker, closing the distance faster to him. You grabbed onto him, clutching onto him tightly while crying. Telling him to not do this, to not leave Kanata alone like this, that you and Shiki could help him work something out.
Nayuta only looked at you sadly, rubbing your hair as he whispered out his apologies to you. He pulled you away slightly, pressing a light kiss to your lips before taking a deep breath. “The sky… is beautiful… and I love you.” He pushed you back hard before he himself went backwards. What he didn’t account for was that you caught his arm so now unfortunately for the both of you, the two of you were falling together.
You could hear Shiki’s screams from above. Ah the wind is so fast. Nayuta was startled and he started to panic, not expecting this in the slightest. He just held you close hoping that when the two of you hit the ground he would take the most of the impact, that somehow you would still live.
You don’t remember much of what happened after that. You think you heard Kanata? Ah you weren’t sure. It was too hard to think. Everything hurts. Your body hurts, your heart hurts, your throat hurts. Nayuta? What about Nayuta? What happened to him? You don’t think you could move, nothing makes sense. It’s dark. That went on for a while.
Only after that did you find out that Nayuta went missing? Was he dead? Probably. The first face you saw when you woke up was Shiki’s. He seemed to be in rough shape. You were probably in a worse state than he was though.
After that day, you and Shiki hadn’t been the same. For Shiki, who already had such a fragile confidence it just shattered even more. The guilt was eating away at him. You were sure that if you didn’t make it, it would've been harder on Shiki. To be honest the guilt ate away at the both of you. You thought that maybe if you had held onto him properly and not fallen with him he would’ve been alive. That if he hadn’t held onto you so tightly scared that he had brought you along to his ruin that maybe he’d still be alive. That if he didn’t take most of the force from the fall he would’ve been alive. That if you hadn’t fallen with him your added weight wouldn't have hurt him even more.
Those thoughts plagued your mind. At first it constantly swirled in your mind, your sleep restless, waking up in cold sweat because of your mind replaying what happened. The only person who got you was Shiki and the two of you struggled through it. But for you it got better with time slowly. Shiki didn’t seem to be like you though. You think he took the hardest of it.
When you heard about Paradox Live and the teams that were participating, your heart dropped when you saw cozmez because there was no way. Kanat wouldn’t do it right? No way he would’ve. Not without Nayuta. It confused you to no end but at the same time terrified you. No way he was still alive right? You weren’t sure if you could face him but the thought of him being alive still……
It surprised you when you saw him on stage. That he really was alive. You didn’t have the opportunity to meet him though. And you feared facing him for the time being, wondering if it was okay when he sacrificed himself to keep you alive when he barely was already.
That day. It was a couple days before cozmez and TCW’s stage battle, Shiki had texted you to come to the rooftop to accompany him, and you agreed thinking that maybe you could calm your mind down, ease it somehow by going there. You patted Shiki’s back as he was crying, sibbing as he talked about how he still had the record from that time, how he didn’t have the right to be Nayuta’s friend anymore because he couldn’t save him. Shiki’s guilt about you had decreased overtime since you kept reassuring him and all that but with Nayuta’s one it was quite difficult compared to yours.
“Shiki don’t say that. Nayuta said he was happy to be your friend, didn't he?”
A voice behind the two of you made the both of you jolt in surprise. “HUH? What are you talking about?”
“Nayuta?!” Both of you were surprised.
“Anyway, who are you? This is my favourite place.”
“Y-you’re…Nayuta right? The real….Yatonokami Nayuta right?”
“Is it… really you?”
“Huh? That’s right, though.” Nayuta seemed confused and irritated at the same time.
“I knew it… you’re alive. At that time… No!.. That’s it, you were just injured but saved.”
“That does make sense, Shiki since it was like that for me too.”
Shiki said he was glad Nayuta was alive and went closer to him unconsciously but Nayuta stopped him.
“Ah.. you..no wonder you look familiar, you’re TCW’s member?” Nayuta asked which you thought was weird since he is so much more to him than just that? His eyes landed on you. “And you are?” Oh it felt like getting shot in the heart.
“Yeah… I’m Ando Shiki and this is L/n Y/n. You don’t remember?”
“Remember what? I don’t bother remembering guys I just watched in lives. And surely I won’t remember some fangirl.”
You looked at Shiki with an expression that showed how utterly unbelievable this was as you pointed at Nayuta. “He’s not serious is he Shiki? There’s no way right?” You felt like you could go hysteric right there and then. Shiki looked at you sadly as he tried to explain it to Nayuta but he really didn’t seem to remember.
“Are you pretending that you don’t know me because you’re mad at me?”
“Are you? Mad at us Nayuta? Maybe he lost his memory, Shiki?”
“Don’t drag me into your nonsense talk. Anyway, can you move? You’re in the way.”
Shiki apologized as he pulled you along with him cause you seemed rooted to the spot. You can’t seem to take your eyes off of him which made him annoyed.
“Coming here after a long time, I can’t believe I'm being bothered by a boring guy and a weirdo.” Nayuta sighed.
“Nayuta? No it’s fine….knowing that you’re alive….” Shiki stumbled over his words.
“We’re glad that you’re alive Nayuta.” You muttered out, not sure if he would take it.
“Is that so?”
“Nayuta?”
“Hurry up and disappear.” Were Nayuta’s last words to the two of you. Ah you never knew how sharp words could be until then. Shiki had to physically drag you away despite his heart tearing at the seams also.
You were silent as you walked, listening to Shiki mumble out his worries and all that. You ended up bumping into Yohei, who Shiki ended up crying to. Seeing Shiki cry made you cry too as you stood there away from the two of them. Yohei seeing you cry also brought you close to Shiki as he comforted the two of you telling you two that it’s okay to cry.

hiii 2, 15, 19, 26 & 29 from the courting meme with nayuta yatonokami ! thank you so much <3
Nayuta Yatonokami:
2. ♥ When they have a crush on someone, how do they let them know?
Nayuta doesn’t bring it up, keeping his cards close to his chests and putting on the illusions of friendship as long as he can. Even he has his doubts about whether he’d be a good boyfriend, if he could even offer what you wanted from him, but his interest in you was too strong for him to ignore. He figured your relationship would play itself out like it should and he’d admit his feelings when you admitted yours, and if he had to explain the reasons behind why it took so long to respond he’d respond with his honest feelings.
15. ♥ Do they enjoy talking to their partners before going to sleep or is it straight to dreamland?
He's definitely the type to prefer silence before bed, wanting to just enjoy how it feels to be together rather than forcing words. He doesn’t mind if you have a topic you want to bring up but he generally doesn’t, ready to sleep and hoping you don’t blame him if he doesn’t entirely hear what you’re saying.
19. ♥ What was their first impression about their partner/person they are courting?
In all honesty Nayuta didn’t think much of you when you first met. It’s better than disliking you or finding you annoying, at least, but you constantly crossing his path is what made him finally notice you. Romance had never been at the forefront of his mind but he did find you attractive, and he couldnt help that his thoughts started to lean in that direction when you actually started conversations with him. He still could’ve ruined the potential relationship by turning down your first date idea, which had never been outlined as a date but even someone with no experience like Nayuta could read between the lines, but he felt like there must be a reason he constantly saw you around so he took the chance.
26. ♥ What do they love most about their significant other?
He appreciated that you saw him as his own person, while respecting that he and his twin had a bond that made them inseparable. It might be easy for you to just assume they were carbon copies of each other, or to consider their relationship weird, and he would’ve moved on if that was the case. But you recognized their differences while complimenting their similarities, thinking their familial bond was something to be admired.
29. ♥ How do they express their love to their partner?
Nayuta expresses his love through his facial expressions, the smile on his face speaking more on his feelings than words ever could. There was a certain glow in his eyes when he looked at you, the fondness overwhelming, an instant tell that the two of you were dating. You were never mistaken as just friends when you were out together because there was no chance a friend would look at you like that.

A MILLION MILES AWAY.
Tumblr media
“My soul is always with you.”
ft. Sugasano Allen, Hajun Yeon, Anne Faulkner, Yatonokami Kanata, Yatonokami Nayuta x fem! reader.
cw/genre: fluff, comfort.
Hey, nonnie ! You requested on my previous blog and I’m very sorry this took me forever, I still hope you can enjoy it, hun <3

ଓ SUGASANO ALLEN
— To ever enthusiastic Allen, the fact you have hearing hypersensitivity is so cool.
— To him, it’s almost like a superpower, how you can catch up on the faintest of sounds, even discerning their subtlety in all kinds of songs.
— So, it is not uncommon for him to ask you for advice when he’s composing BAE’s melodies.
— The way you can discern every variation in the symphony and how you always know what’s the best combination for it with the lyrics, never fails to leave your boyfriend speechless.
— In these instances, maroon eyes stare at you, lovestruck, the hue on his cheeks not so different as he gets a little lost in you as you compose.
— However, all gifts came at a price.
— Because your sensitivity to sound happened to be a double edged sword.
— You just couldn’t attend lives.
— You had tried. More than once. And it ended terribly every single one of them.
— The sounds were too loud, and the bright lights didn’t help either with the overstimulation the loud music already caused you.
— No matter how hard you tried to calm down, your breathing became shallow, ragged, as if your lungs were closing in.
— And you hate it. You hate you can’t be there to see your partner on stage from the first row, after how passionate he is with hip-hop, and after all he’s gone through to pursue it.
— But Allen does not only love hip-hop.
— He loves you, above all else.
— And he understands what it’s like to feel like you can’t endure it anymore, like you’re going to suffocate and like everything’s too much.
— His trap reactions are quite bad, after all.
— And he doesn’t want the one he loves so deeply to have to experience something similar to it.
— So he understands and he would never hold it against you.
— Now you wait for him, the covers of his bed snug around you, as you hold your phone screen before you.
— Earphones on, you watch intently, as BAE steps on stage.
— A phoenix flies over the audience, and a wide smile spreads on your face.
— This is the song you composed together, and you know, with it, your lover will shine as bright as his illusion does.
ଓ HAJUN YEON
— You didn’t want him to find out.
— Hajun is perfect, and you’re honored as it is that he wanted you as his girlfriend.
— For you to be this sensitive to sound… You know you’d end up making trouble for him if you went to one of his lives.
— So at first you make excuses.
— You tell him you have appointments or work on the days and time BAE have their lives.
— You feel bad for lying to him like this, but you just don’t know how to tell him.
— What if he thinks you’re stupid? What if he gets tired of you? What if he leaves you and hates you?
— These are the thoughts racing through your muddled mind as you stare at your laptop’s screen, waiting for the site where you watch all of Hajun’s stage concerts to load.
— It is strange, it’s not working… Perhaps the connexion’s just bad?
— While you’re immersed in your own tribulations, you suddenly hear the front door opening, making you jump and stand up straight.
— “Well, well, well, what is my princess doing here? Didn't she have work today?”
— “H-hajun… Didn’t you have a performance now?” You manage, averting your eyes from his vermillion ones. In the mischief shining through his sharp eyes, you know you’ve been set up.
— “I… I’m… I’m sorry…” You finally mumble, head lowered.
— A slender finger hooks under your chin.
— “Don’t look away from me, sweetheart.” He whispers, in the dimly lit space between. “Please tell me what’s wrong.”
— And in that moment, you see your own fear reflected in his eyes.
— The fear of abandonment, of being left behind, not loved or needed anymore.
— “I’m very sensitive to sounds, especially loud ones. So coming to see you live is impossible for me. I was scared. I didn’t know how to tell you.” Your voice breaks a little, your vision becoming blurry with tears.
— “I was afraid you wouldn’t want to be with someone as weak as me, so I-“
— Your words are cut off the moment your boyfriend’s arms wrap around you.
— “Don’t. Don’t say it. Because that will never happen. You’re not weak, dear. And I’d never ever think of not being with you.” Hajun’s own voice falters, his hold on you tightening. “I knew there was something going on. I’m sorry for not asking sooner.”
— After that, you never need to come up with more alibis to justify your absence.
— Your lover gets you the best (and most expensive too, probably) iPad and headset ever, so you can comfortably follow BAE’s lives from home.
— And of course, when he gets back home, he gives you plenty of affection (and teasing too). But that is a story just you and him are privy to, and is reserved for another day.
ଓ ANNE FAULKNER
— Anne is quite emotionally perceptive, so they pick up on the fact that something about physically going to live shows affects you.
— You hadn’t planned on letting them know so soon, but honestly, who can resist Anne’s comforting and kind aura?
— So you explain, how the loud music of the stage feels a hundredfold louder inside your head, to the point where it even… scares you.
— That being the same reason you don’t usually show up at CANDY Club either.
— Your partner understands, hazel eyes taking you in with tenderness.
— They sit next to you on the living room’s couch, arms wrapped around you. The scent of your lover’s perfume was too strong to some, but to you, it’s the known comfort of a hypnotizing field of poppies.
— “[Y/n]”. Anne calls. “What’s worrying you, hun?” Their hands trace soothing patterns along your back, the motions easing the heaviness of your heart, if only a little.
— You let out a sigh, shoulders sagging as you exhale some pressure out of you.
— “I feel bad, Anne… Because, well, you’re such a good partner, but I can never come to your lives or to the club you work at.”
— Their loving gaze is trained on you, head slightly tilted to the side. An invitation to go on. The promise to be by your side, no matter what.
— “My hearing… well, it’s above the usual, so i’m extremely sensitive to sound. For me to be in a space with loud music… It’s practically impossible. That is why I can never be at concerts to cheer you on. But I promise, I follow every single one of them from home, and you’re always stunning when you’re up there, Anne.”
— They smile, knowingly.
— “Why didn’t you say so sooner, baby?” BAE’s fashion icon asks, leaving an outline of vibrant lipstick when they kiss your cheek.
— “Please, never feel guilty or bad because of this. I love you more than anything, and that will never change.” They finish, eyes framed in fuchsia earnest when they meet yours.
— “But aaghh! I missed so many chances to do your makeup and hair! You’re following the lives anyway, no matter if it’s from home, so that calls for a cute outfit and eyeliner to match!
— Airy laughter fills the room. With Anne, there was no way negative emotions could ever get to you.
ଓ YATONOKAMI KANATA
— At first, he’s hurt.
— Why is it that you never come to see him and his brother perform?
— Are you just another rich brat? Are you looking down on them? Do you not support the one thing that sheds a little light in his life?
— And you are hurt too.
— Because you’d want nothing more than to be there, cheering him on, your smile, the first thing he sees when he looks at the audience.
— And then he realizes. It’s not that you don’t want. Rather, that you can’t.
— It only takes a thunderstorm for him to notice.
— You had always been skittish when you spent nights at his apartment and a train passed by, the tracks shaking and rattling.
— But this… You are trembling.
— “Hey, it’s just a storm, we’ll be safe in here.” Kanata tries, watching you bundled beneath the blanket you two shared when you slept with him.
— Your hold on the cloth tightens.
— “I-it’s not that, Kanata… I-it’s so loud, too loud… My head feels like it’ll split…”
— Oh.
— So it’s loud sounds you can’t handle.
— Thinking back on it, it is true you always turned the volume down when you two shared earphones, or asked him to do the same thing every time he showed you a new song.
— So that is why…
— Kanata’s arms wrap around you, pulling you up in a sitting position, nuzzled against his chest.
— The softness and warmth of both the blanket and his embrace engulf you. Like this, the storm feels a little more faraway.
— “I’ll protect you, [Y/n]. This is why you could never make it to our stage performances, isn’t it?” Your boyfriend inquires, his tone soft, uncharacteristically so, barely above a whisper.
— You nod, covering your ears as another thunderbolt besieges the slums.
— “Shhh, it’s all good, I’m here, [Y/n]. I won’t let anything happen to you.”
— “Kanata…” You utter, tone shaky.
— His eyes widen the moment he sees a sheen of starlit tears on your lashline.
— “Oi, what’s wrong??” Your lover asks, clenching his jaw.
— “I’m sorry… You and Nayuta work so hard and I can never see you live… I always, always watch from home, but I’m sorry I’ve hurt you because I can’t really be there…”
— “Silly.” Kanata cuts you off, with a smile that’s a bit sad, but still ethereal. “You don’t have to apologize. I want you to be safe, even if that means you can’t come to stage battles because it’s too noisy in there.”
— He holds you a little tighter, slipping over your ears the headphones he uses when he’s writing songs.
— The storm quiets down, and his arms keep you safe.
ଓ YATONOKAMI NAYUTA
— He thinks it’s cool you have that hearing hypersensitivity.
— For two main reasons: you always seem to pick up on steps approaching whenever bad guys are around; and because, similarly to Allen, he finds it so amazing how you can discern so many different notes in music.
— Also, because whenever you two spend time on the rooftop, Nayuta loves the way you seem to hear the wind, how you say it carries songs, different feelings relied depending on the color of the sky he always loved to look at.
— Even so, he’s not as fond of the sad smile you offer him every time he has a stage battle.
— Because you both know, it’s impossible for you to be able to go.
— But to Nayuta, the effort you make to support Cozmez even when you can’t be present speaks volumes.
— You’ve invested in a phone good enough to be able to reproduce audio and video in high quality, so that, no matter when or where, you can watch and support them from afar.
— Nayuta is very passionate about music, so don’t be surprised if he asks you to be the first one to listen to his and his brother’s music and ask you for your honest opinion.
— Your boyfriend is quite calm and detached, that quality being a point in your favor.
— You smile to yourself, he reminds you a little of a cat sometimes; he takes naps in unlikely places, likes to hang around the quiet of a building that feels closer to the sky than to the grey dull concrete, and has fluffy hair.
— You love running your hands through it when the sounds of daily life overwhelm you, it calms you down.
— In the same way, when the intense cacophony of sounds seems to be at war in your mind, Nayuta’s heartbeat manages to relax you every single time.
— The sky overhead is filled with stars that remind you of the color of his eyes.
— There is no moon on the indigo expanse above, and yet, that’s alright.
— You don’t need it, not when your brightest star holds you so gently.
— Your real star, this time. Every beat of his heart, a reassurance of it.
— The sofa placed on the high building’s rooftop is dusty, but neither of you care.
— You are together in this moment, a sea of constellations singing their silent love song for you.
— The world is at peace, the quiet only wrinkled by your call of his name.
— “Nayuta?” You utter, eyes fluttering open, just him and the stars mirrored in them.
— “Hm?”
— “Thank you.” You smile, one of your hands fleetingly caressing his cheek.
— His answer comes in the form of a smile, the sliver of moon missing from the sky above.
— The world is quiet and you are with him.
— In the starlight, the silence of the hour dances with his heart.
