I love how while only 3 series into Alex Rider TV we really see the jaded, angry Alex we get by the end of the entire book series. The realities of a child spy are much more obvious in the show and something I really enjoy seeing explored

Alright here we go, Alex Rider, season 1

IMO Yassen out here like yeah, this is my circus but these aren't my monkeys and I don't really give a shit if the circus burns down cuz we've got Cray's thing teed up already for like six months from now.

Yassen: I don't choose the jobs, Julia chooses the jobs. I just make sure the jobs don't blow up in our (Scorpia's) face.

Yassen: (...but this is a stupid job)

That scene where Yassen tells Martin Wilby that he did a good job and they're going to take care of him, where it reads like "oh god, take care of or take care of" and Yassen's little mona lisa smile and it's like Yassen's clearly thinking "so far so good, but we'll see how long that lasts, idiots"

And he's just so fucking cavalier when Greif walks in and sees him sitting in his desk, like, Yassen could not give less of a shit that it's falling apart and is enjoying Greif being (correctly) afraid of him.

"Check out this kid that the agency might've snuck into your school," he says helpfully, knowing that if that kid is who he thinks he is, and if he's anything like his father, this shit is gonna be over by tomorrow.

He is mildly surprised when he accidentally comes face to face with the kid and realizes that the guy they're gonna cast to play his dad has the exact same eyes, but he recovers quickly enough and catches a train back to London, where he will be cleaning his guns and mapping out the most likely route MI6 will use to transport Dr. Greif when they catch him.

This is my vampire/vaguely resident evil village au. Basically, Scorpia is full of vampires and Julia has this crazy plan to resurrect John by using Ian (sacrifice/possession kind of thing) whom they turn and secretly kidnap at the time of his "death". When she discovers that it won't work, they keep him anyway, for her, Three, and Razim to torture and experiment on, to test the limits of his healing and also just for funsies. Alex eventually comes to Scorpia, and Julia realises that she can use Alex instead to bring back John, and also that Alex is not entirely human either because John wasn't at the time of his conception. Ian finds out, escapes, and cuts his way through a good chunk of Scorpia to find Alex, who is being trained/guarded/protected by Yassen on Malagosto. Yassen is also no longer human, and when Ian arrives, suggests that they work together to kill Julia and the rest of the Board (and then also run away together maybe)

Will be pretty heavy on the gore and blood and temporary loss of body parts.

seven episodes into my season 2 rewatch. on one hand this season is boring me and i'm not convinced i like it at all. on the other hand half of my notes just say "alexxx :(!!" so clearly they're doing SOMETHING right

There aren’t nearly enough fics where Alex and MI6’s actions are exposed to the world. Think of the potential! The reactions! The politics! The d r a m a
