While biscuits and gravy are definitely a beloved delicacy, it’s not something that I feel compelled to have all the time. As a matter of fact, before today, I hadn’t made any in almost 3 years.

This morning I wanted to prepare everything from scratch so, here’s a batch of my homemade buttermilk biscuits smothered in my spicy Mardi Gras sausage gravy served with hashbrowns and scrambled eggs.

The gravy is made like any sausage gravy but with the inclusion of the holy trinity, diced jalapeños and my Lagniappe Brand Cajun Seasoning. I’ve also included the recipe for the biscuits in case you’d like to make some. If you don’t have any buttermilk on hand, you can make some from scratch using a tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice added to a cup of milk. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and you’re good to go. Y’all be easy….

Southern Buttermilk Biscuits

Ingredients

3½ cups White Lily All-Purpose Flour

2 tbsp granulated sugar

1 tbsp kosher salt

1 tbsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

1¼ cups frozen unsalted butter, grated

1 1/4 cup whole buttermilk, chilled

1 large egg, lightly beaten

Flaked sea salt, for sprinkling

Softened butter and honey, to serve

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, kosher salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Using a pastry blender, cut in cold butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in cold buttermilk until a shaggy dough forms.

3. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface. Pat dough into a rectangle, and cut into fourths. Stack each fourth on top of each other, and pat down into a rectangle again. Repeat procedure 3 more times. Pat or roll dough to 1-inch thickness. Using a 2½-inch round cutter dipped in flour, cut dough without twisting cutter, rerolling scraps as necessary.

4. Place biscuits 2 inches apart on prepared pan. Freeze until cold, about 10 minutes. Brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with sea salt. Bake until golden brown, about 15 minutes. Serve warm with softened butter, jam or honey.

honestly why did sammy and brooklynn give yaz crap for driving away like. she was literally right for it. also brooklynn leaping and grabbing the wheel like Dude??? that overwrites their weird anger about yaz trying to help in her way like y’all knew the dinos for a day. idk it was just so wrong for sammy and brooklynn to yell at yaz and accuse her of forcing them to move on when she was just. trying to get them back?? ITS COLD? And yaz didn’t even blame brooklynn for causing the glider to fall in the ice. if brooklynn tried to talk to yaz for more than 3 lines before leaping for the wheel and sammy didn’t blame yaz completely maybe even apologizing!! then it would’ve been a better scene tbh if it was more clear that yaz was saying things like “Get over it” but she wasn’t…yasmina my beloved

a gifset of a remake you haven’t watched/ don’t like/ isn’t your favorite: i only watched few clips from new seasons of skam fr so i will count it as a remake i haven’t watched. @feminizedbf is making the best gifsets for these seasons and im honestly in awe of his creativity and devotion bc the tag was so dead during the time the season was airing and the gifsets got only few notes which is very unfair because these gifsets deserve all the love. my favs are new gen + name etymology, favorite episodes and the one with nikita gill and this one absolutely broke me thank u

a gifset with a cool layout: idc care about the rules and will include 944838 gifsets because i can and they all are so so pretty and there are way too many talented people there. sobbe + the night we met @nyttvera is a masterpiece and i still think about it daily, also very like her layouts here and here. vendredi 20h27 by @feminizedbf in comics style is insane love it so much. i call @sandersyasmina a queen of layouts for a reason and this one with ohn is my favorite. it was hard not to include everything @sanderdriesen made because they all are so creative and beautiful and i will try to keep it short and not write essays on each of them. ohn and moving drawings of robbe, hotel clips, sobbe journey, dinsdag 16:31, are the ones that blew my mind and AND my favorite gifset of all time😙 also i very liked yasmina each episode series that @sanderxrobbee had going on, layouts on these gifsets are so cool. really loved layouts on gifsets for sobbe anniversaries @nellsdani was making and especially this one for woensdag 21:21 (and and really love this one for ohn and with robbe). @fatoujallovv is always so creative with layouts and kieutou gifset is one of my favorites

some thoughts about Vrijdag 15:12, 18:03 (ep. 10, clips 11-12):

well, folks, we've come to the end, not just of the season, but (most likely) of the show itself. and really these two clips were more about the cast coming together and celebrating (a la skam españa) than an actual fitting ending to yasmina's season. and so we get (1) a cameo from jana and milan; (2) all the couples together, including yasmina and younes; and (3) partying, dancing, and a bunch of "alt er love" messages to finish things. which honestly, even though it's 100% unearned, is par for the course. but hey, at least, they kept the drone at home!

of course, it couldn't be an ending clip without one last white savior™ grand "surprise" gesture for yasmina. and the writers couldn't help themselves with one last dig at yasmina, when she says "I think I proved this year that I’m not really a good example." and kato (of all people) replies that "I think all of us proved that we aren’t perfect." thanks for that great message!

and so another sana season crawls to a lackluster, unsatisfying end, and we are left with the kernels of what could have been. and sadly, we never get to say goodbye to elias, mama ait omar, papa ait omar (who forever remains a villain), my beloved aïcha, and the rider (balloon) squad boys, who i truly hope all are living their best unencumbered lives away from this mess.

finally, we have to ask what we ourselves will take away from this season. if nothing else, that yasmina deserved better. that our brown, black, muslim, and other characters of color deserve so much better. that perhaps other belgian showrunners and writers see the fan feedback/criticism and do better next time. that the nora daris, noa kabatis, and yara veyts of the world will one day get their due and portray characters that do them justice. that one day we can have a season with a practicing muslim protagonist that does her justice. 🙏🏽

I really love all the main six, but my favourites have to be Ben (my beloved <3), Kenji, and Yasmina!

Ben. Honestly, when I watched the first episode, I immediately related to Ben, because I'm a paranoid myself :'D To be serious, I just... love his personality? There's something special about him that just makes me to have soft feelings about him (and apparently, it's a normal thing of mine. I notice that I'm barely able to describe why I love anything. Seriously, I just love it...). Anyway, I really love his bond with Bumpy and I think it's a very interesting thing to make Ben have a dinosaur friend since he's the one who's afraid the most of them. And honestly, this is just very sweet <3 Also, I really love his development, and for me, he's the one who has grown the most compared to the other characters (anyway, according to what I've seen so far; I'm on season 2 episode 7 now). His moment of bravery in "Last day of camp" and his "death" in the next episode really impressed me and I almost got a heart attack then ajajhdjfjjf. I love that he got "a separate" arc where he had to survive alone, because it really helped him to grow into a stronger person. Seriously, "Brave" is such a powerful episode! I'm so proud of him <3 and really excited to see more of "a brave Ben" in the next episodes! In conclusion, among all characters, Ben is my most favourite :)

Kenji. A jerk with a heart of gold? I have a thing for this kind of characters, apparently :'D Anyway, I really love Kenji! He's a rich, lazy, and arrogant guy who, while, is very protective of his friends and actually does care about them. Seriously, I really love characters like him! Plus, I enjoy he comedy he brings to the show. He's fun ×)

Yasmina. Where can I start? She's so amazing! Brave, smart, strong, resourceful, protective, reasonable, sarcastic! She's just a character whom I really really love! Plus, I really relate to her at the point of being "gruff and unsmiling" and being bad at starting a new friendship. Seriously, this aspect of her character makes her very special to me!

And that's it! I had much less to say about Kenji and Yasmina, but I really love them, even though Ben remains my most favourite character <3

I really want to get to the next episodes, because, according to some spoilers I saw in the tags, season 3 promises to be super interesting!

So, this season is wack. And it hurts. WTFock has truly only one good (not perfect) season, season 3.

The writers did a good job of showing MI and white queerness.

But, Moyo (and especially my King Noa Tambwe Kabati) deserved better than to be written as the only MoC and a homophobe who had to date a racist, and Yasmina (especially our queen Nora Dari) deserved better than to experience racism and Islamophobia and have to apologise for it.

They also destroyed Robbe and Zoë, two of the most beloved characters in the show.

The one good thing they ACCIDENTALLY did was have Robbe admit that the Sana character is written as a "bossy bitch," which is the fault of white gentile writers.

favorite wtfockdown sobbe clip hmmmmm... i might say their last one actually talking face to face bc first of all, i LOVE that bg wherever sander is with the spray paint, and secondly, i think they’re just sufficiently loved up and happy to see each other no matter how pointless or dumb the convo is like.. sander’s dopey smile when robbe was just saying he hoped things would open... nothing funny was even said, he’s just in love fkldjsfkl. it was also an example of wtfock responding to criticism people had about s3 while also being kind of revealing abt sander’s mindset on that sort of thing... like that advice he gives about revisiting slowly but surely until robbe’s fully comfortable feels like him probably reciting advice he’s received in therapy or smth bc like... it’s true! you can’t just be scared of reliving traumatic memories forever bc they might not leave and there will always be things you have to work through but you don’t necessarily have to let it seep into your physical realm or take on shape or form of a place like *sander voice* their bar, and the fact that robbe is always gonna have him to lean back on when he’s struggling about that is comforting. it’s a hard thing to have a convo over on a computer screen, but they are sweethearts and i like that the hate crime was addressed even just briefly like that. close second would be the pool lockdown walk or the chernobyl one maybe!!

favorite character interactions in general?? i don’t know that i have specifics but i loved seeing jana/jens in the bg of season 3. i also LOVE yasmina/luca’s friendship and hope we get more of that in s5, they can be such hellions together but they’re very much the same speed of humor. i wish we got to see more bg britt/noor but damn noor being at a different school.... hmmm...  season 4 i’ve enjoyed the crumbs of luca/amber friendship in the bg also. i really don’t think my brain can conjure anything specific at the moment so OOPS sorry.

favorite chaotic memes huh.... loved all the chaos before we knew who sander was, i only joined right at the start of week 2 but it was fun to just. not know fkjdsklf to speculate. the most memorable overall was probably the round world one about robbe on his bike riding to find sander fkldsjflk. i WISH i was around for the agony of ohn weekend in general, i was in cali on vacation and not with my phone most of the time, so i missed a lot of that general madness but watching s3 live was fun and emotional and i miss it. 

honestly i don’t even think my favorite picks in general are wildfire or wandering romance as much as i DO love those choices of song. i adore the passenger cover of space oddity and the way it just stops the second he blocks sander. there were a lot of moments like that in s3 where robbe was wearing headphones and it’d stop or get softer when he took them off like.. there was a lot of clever mixing too, just as much as song choice. my favorite song that i actually added to all my playlists immediately after hearing was from me by khushi during the cuddle clip, THAT was one of my fav songs all season. (so was contaminated by banks while robbe gets up and goes n sits on the beach to text his mom) also some shoutouts go to two men in love during the date scene (haunting literally fuck), way down we go in the bg of the bar after noor/britt ditch them, rescue my heart during the hotel scene, and also them ending s3 with in my mind, which is also the song that plays in the only trailer of wtfock!! i feel like those are pretty tame picks but the seasons soundtrack overall was just vibey and cohesive and i got a lot of new music/artists to look out for from it so.

Revised Thoughts on S4 of wtFock

This is a revised version of my thoughts about season 4 of wtfock. When I wrote this post after the season, I was extremely angry and upset about everything that had happened in the season. The whole post was all over the place with a lot of grammatical errors. I’ve taken about a year or two to reflect on my thoughts and please know that everything written in this post is very much true to how I feel still to this day about this season.

What’s Skam About?

Skam is a Norwegian web series that tackles real life problems that teens and young adults face in their lives. Each season is focused on one character and highlights their struggles in the world. What made the show so loved among varies individuals from all over the world was the real life aspect of it and how relatable it was. Throughout the week, clips, text messages, and Instagram content dropped at varies hours of the day. It was as if you were in the shoes of the character which was the whole point. Everyone can relate to at least 1 or 2 of the main characters. 

Season 1: Ava

Season 2: Nora

Season 3: Isak

Season 4: Sana

Where Wtfock Went Wrong 

Wtfock is an amazing remake. The soundtrack was TOP TIER, the additional scenes added, the everyday clips, the beloved characters, etc were amazing but where Wtfock went wrong was when they lost the meaning of Skam. Seasons 1-3 were amazing even through season 3 had some problems (we’ll talk about that later). Even through Wtfock is it’s own remake, it’s still a remake of Skam which means you can obviously make changes and make the remake your own but don’t forget the heart of Skam. 

The Writers Choices 

A lot of choices the writers made throughout the course of the show was to create shock value. In addition, the writers never took responsibility for their actions or choices. 

Season 3 had a lot of shock value scenes. For example, Robbe and Sander getting beat up, Robbe standing on the edge of the bridge, Robbe calling Sander the f slur word, etc. For a chuck of these scenes, the writers/social media interns didn't put trigger warnings on clips. Especially for the clip with Robbe and Sander getting beat up by homophobes. Now I will say, when the fans called them out for the Robbe and Sander getting beat up scene, they did apologize and added a trigger warning but that should've already been added before the clip dropped. 

In season 4, the writers moved Yasmina’s (a muslim girl) season to season 5 and gave season 4 to Kato (a white racist) when it should’ve been Yasmina’s being that in Skam, the fourth season goes to the muslim character. Season 4 was so hurtful, disrespectful, and a spit in the face to the muslim fans and the poc fans because majority of the main characters in Skam are white so being able to have a season in the pov of a poc was amazing. Especially a muslim character because that’s something that you don’t see on TV a lot. It would’ve been okay if they gave the season to another poc character like Nia, Moyo (which I originally thought they would've gave the season too). If they wanted to wait to do Yasmina’s season like they claim, they could came back a year later or so to do her season. We fans are okay with waiting. We would rather have a season that is written well than a season that is disrespectful and hurtful. 

In season 5, the writers put Yasmina through hell and made her the villain. The beginning of the season was excellent but as the season continued, they continued to have other characters say racist comments just like the previous season. But this time, they completely destroyed their character’s and made Yasmina a “crazy brown skin” girl. They made her look like the villain when she was the victim.

A lot of the writers choices shows how much they don’t care about their fans and how they don’t care about what they are teaching the audience. A lot of topics shown in the season 4 was dangerous to show. Especially to certain fans who doesn't know much about the the topics shown in season 4. The writers were basically saying that you can say racist, micro aggressive comments and use your white privilege to get what you want in life. This was the message they were spreading from season 4 to the end of the show (season 5). 

Like with all writers and shows, they begin to care more about the money than what they write. And wtfock writers fell victim to this cycle. Wtfock started to care more about the sponsors than their fans. And this all started during/after season 3. The writers saw how much the fans loved sobbe, how much we loved season 3, and they got money hungry. During season 3, they sponsored in varies of clips but season 4 had an insane amount of sponsors. Season 3 was excellent and taken well among the fandom so the writers gave us wtFockdown which was awesome not only because it was during the pandemic but, it developed all the characters. With Wtfockdown being such a success, the writers took it upon themselves to write their own original season (being season 4) which we know was terrible.

Me knowing that they would try to include the events that was happening in the world right now, I knew they would make her a racist. We all knew that they would do that. But it's not even that, they straight up try to act as if they didn't know they made a racist character. Not only that but, they made her manipulative, self-centered, and selfish. And they try to play it as " don't judge a book by its cover and if we are judging K*to, we are just like her" like stfu.....that’s bullsh*t and they know it. They knew what they were doing. For the last 10 weeks, they have taught no lesson!! The only lesson they have taught is "using your white privilege will get you everything that you want and when you don't, you can throw a tantrum and have everyone feel bad for you and apologize to you" like please. They have fans backing up K*to's actions and feeling bad for her. Then they tried to use the quote "always be kind because someone can be fighting a battle" to back up her actions and racist comments like nooo things don't work that way. Then they try to shove her down our throats with her problems so we feel sympathy for her. Don't sit here and introduce her mental health issues HALF way through the season, and then never talk about it. Then include a s*lf h*rm clip in the LAST episode for shock value and to have us feel sympathy for her! It was so disrespectful and irresponsible to not even put a TRIGGER WARNING on the clip!! They have people like my myself struggling with their mental health and the fact they didn’t even care to put a trigger warning on the clip is just disgusting!! And then have her manipulated Moyo so that she could get what she wanted which was to win that stupid dance competition. Which leads Moyo to crashed the car THAT SHE MADE HIM DRIVE WITH NO LICESNE!! Then fled the scene. Are you fucking kidding me!!! Then she has the nerve to say “It was just a car! I can’t dance ever again!” after she sprained her ankle! Like its a SPRAIN!! It will heal!!! Then have her make an apology video which she ends up posting on her Instagram with people who have zero idea WTH she is talking about! Literally she realized that she was a terrible person after spraining her ankle!! Seriously??? Something bad happens to her for the first time and she is like “oh man, I have been such a shitty person!” Like wtaf!!!!! She makes everything about her. She never got punished for anything. They made every character around her apologize when she should of been the one apologizing to them for everything she said and has done. K*to really believes she has changed because she has been with Moyo like where??? Where the hell is the change!? Cause I don’t see it! The season is over and we still have no idea who this girl was! Like this was a waste! And the way they sidelined every other character just pissed me off even more. They didn't even develop the other characters. Nor did they even try to make K*to connect with the other characters. K*to was just there!! There was no genuine connection at all. Because she didn't even try to get to know the other characters because she made everything about her. They had characters ooc for K*to. The unnecessary drama between Zoe, Moyo out of nowhere forgiving K*to and having him keep going back to her when the Moyo I know would never let someone say something racist to him and still be okay with them, having Yasmina sit in silence while K*to just said racist comments and the girl squad so worried about K*to’s feelings compared to how Yasmina felt. I honestly feel like they don’t try to develop the boy squad, specifically Moyo. I feel out of ever character, he has been the one who makes 2 steps forward but they always take him 10 steps back. And its beyond infuriating! Like seriously!!!  Plus she was an influencer and she literally never posted like wtf. First of all Skam is based on relatable things. Things that teenagers go through or struggle with. Tell me how we relate to K*to about being an influencer. Like wtf!! That just shows you that the writers only made her a influencer so that we would buy her clothes just like we did Sobbe’s. That’s the only reason! So they could get money! They didn’t even try to make the season make sense! Now if they would of took out her racism and made the season about her mental health and how her mental health correlates with her brothers drug addiction and/or her being an influencer, that would of worked! But no they had her say racist comments and tried to correlate her racism to her own problems! Like mental health issues and drug addictions don’t cause you to make racist comments. The fact that the writers were completely silent just shows that they didn't expect the fans to react this way. How did you think we were going to react!? We are not stupid!!  They straight up had Nora speak about what the season was suppose to be about. Which doesn’t make sense at ALL but, whatever!  I can't even believe this was a season. Like right in the middle of the BLM movement, they decided to write this😒like I can't even. They have lost so many fans and so many fans have said they would not be back to watch season 5. The fact that they did this right before their Sana season which is one of the season’s that gets the less views. Like really??  I don't blame the fans for not wanting to come back because honestly I'm conflicted. I don't even know if I want to come back to watch season 5. They have completely lost me as a fan. The way I felt so disrespected by these writers for (1) taking away a poc season to give it to another white main and (2) for being so careless about mental health issues .As someone who is a poc and someone who struggles with mental health it just felt like a spit in the face. Its not even that I am upset, I am angry and mad! With so much happening in the world, you really thought this was a good season to write. Really??? What hurts the most is that this was my favorite remake and it has become my least favorite. I love the cast and their characters except K*to. I just feel sorry that they have to be associated with this!! I don't trust these writers to take on Yasmina's season. Yeah, I know Nora is going to help them with season 5 but still. I don't know how they are going to draw back in their lost fans, including myself. We thought Skam france S5 and S6 were bad, no Wtfock S4 is worst. They didn’t even try to put time and effort in writing the script and it really shows🙄 I am so sorry to all fans that felt disrespected and triggered by things that has happened in this season. I am truly so sorry❤ My heart goes out to all of you!! And please add anything else if I missed anything!!

I think a lot of it will depend on how they will handle Yasmina’s season. When you look at season 2 and 3, in my opinion they are the the best skam remakes. You could see the passion the crew and actors put into it to make it as beautiful as is it with respect for their main. Even wtfockdown was a complete surprise in the best way possible. They showed they can deliver good original content, but it’s sad they’ve let the succes get to their head and thought they could make us happy with season 4... I’m still so pissed they threw half of the senior year of our beloved characters away for that. Now all my hope goes to another great remake of an original season and that the creators for once listen to Nora and the fans! Idk, a part of me is so scared it will go wrong again, but another part of me looks back at the good things they did and they were so beautifully done that I can’t stop hoping they will do the same for Yasmina! But the fact that they have to start with a lot of hate still going on, it’s going to be extra hard for them so I’m curious how they will handle it. The good thing is that the show is still very popular here in Belgium, so if the cast wants to continue, imagine the possibility of a season of one of the original characters going to university (Sander season) So as an answer to your question: I think everything will depend on the feedback on season 5

okay this is not gonna be easy, cause i'm a huge hoe for well written friendships but let's go!

1) martino and giovanni. who would have thought? not me! but for real,, i think they have the best isak x jonas dynamics (with druck and og being 2nd and 3rd on the podium) and i just love their relationship SO MUCH. i will actually write down all my feelings and what i think about them while i will be rewatching the italian remake (next weekend i think), so if you're curious why are they so special to me and want to see my point of view in a better light you will find out soon 😅❤

2) yasmina and zoë. this might come out as a surprise to some if not all people, because i almost never talk about my love for them as a friendship (idk why actually, but it's true). i just have an incredibly soft spot for these two; yasmina's reaction to zoë being sexually assaulted (girl was FURIOUS and that "i swear if he touched you-" i just love her so much guys), yasmina always being so gentle with zoë (especially when they talked about senne and zoë's inner conflict whether she should forgive him for the bottle 'incident'). they are soft for each other and i'm here for it

3) basile and arthur. kinda unexpected, but true. even tho i hated arthur's season with passion (especially the second half of it), i would be lying if i said i don't love the brotp between basile and arthur. i might even say his season was worth the suffering because at least i saw them being the dumb friends™. also,, basile's reaction when arthur came to him after he left home; hugging him and immediately giving him his jacket, not to mention borrowing him his clothes the next day and (kinda) standing up to his beloved girlfriend just to defend his best friend (which he didn't have to do at all, cause arthur was the one who completely fucked up). i am in love with them your honor

4) martino and sana. another one from skam italia, but i would say it deserves the spot (especially after season 4). i must say i wasn't fully convinced they were good friends after season two, but boy oh boy. season 4 bought me completely when it came to their friendship. again, i will say more while rewatching, but rn let me just say this: they are so good and gentle to each other and their personalities match so much, it's honestly incredible. still cannot believe s4 was real and not just a fever dream of mine

5) matteo and hanna. again, pretty unexpected coming from me. i loved their dymamics in every season i've seen, but i think they shined in season 3. i mean,, she left him a chocolate bunny saying he can always talk to her when he needs it 🥺 HOW CUTE IS THAT!!! they are definitely my favorite isak x eva friendship, even tho i really like eva with martino too. idk bro, matteo and hanna just hit different, you know. can't help but adore these two

Wtfock’s Storyline developments

Season 3 of Skam has many storylines:

Friendship: Isak’s friendship with Jonas and the rest of the boy squad. His friendship with Eskild, which is more mentor-like, but they are friends after all. His friendship with Sana - a lot of Season 3 is about friendship

Parental Relationship: Isak’s struggle to come out to his mom and how he doesn’t talk to his dad

Religion: again with his mom and Sana as well

Mental Illness: Even’s character

Homosexuality: probably the main storyline of the season as it is the central driving force of Isak’s development. It makes his push away his parents and friends, and is one of the main conflicts with religion

There are of course lesser storylines: cheating, kosegruppa (if you can even call it a storyline), etc

Episode 1 of Skam Season 3 set all of these storylines up (with the exception of Mental Illness) so I thought I would compare how Episode 1 of Season 3 of Wtfock has done 

Friendship: Probably the most set up of all storylines, from the first two or three days we get an understanding of Robbe’s friendship with the boys squad. It’s arguably the worst in the Skam Universe, and they’ve put a lot more detail into it - which makes me think that hell week and week 6 will be particularly dedicated to it

Parents: Wtfock is one of the few Skam remakes (excluding Italia) that has properly set groundwork for his relationship with his parents. They’ve said his mother is in an institution (I don’t remember if it was a hospital correct me if I’m wrong) and that he can’t stay with his dad. But rather than doing this through texts they have physically shown us through clips

Religion: practically non existent and there’s no set up for it. Whilst we know Robbe and Yasmina are friends, considering how much time they’re spending on his parents and frienship, I can see this storyline getting cut out

Mental Illness: it has been set up through his mother (which I really like a lot) but nothing for Even’s character (which is unsurprising at it usually starts in Episode 5)

Homosexuality: I would say there are two parts within the origins Homosexuality storyline: Isak accepting it himself, becoming proud of it and Evak’s relationship. Rather than move straight away with Robbe officially acknowledging this season that he’s gay, they’ve set a lot more groundwork for it to make it harder for him to come out. We haven’t officially met Bel!Even (those two scenes of camera boy song count) which is why it feels a lot slower. Don’t get me wrong, I love the whole season, but this storyline is the central one and it’s the moment that Isak officially meets Even that everything really kicks off.

I’m all for changes, I love it, I love how they’ve changed it - not showing Bel!Even in the first week was something I never expected (and it’s something I’m intrigued by). Obviously the entire tag would be talking about him, Even is one of the most beloved characters of the show and their first meeting really is a spark for the show.

I’ve seen people saying that the season isn’t developing. I, personally (all my opinion), would disagree as the friendship storyline has been well set up and same with the parents. It just so happens to be that the central storyline is the one that hasn’t really moved forward as much. It does feel a little repetitive, at least every scene with Noor, but I’m glad from today’s clip they’re finally changing something
