On the other hand, you are thankful that you did not participate in the "Joker Gangz Member" event, like, everyone who has played for more than a year has at least one Lantern Corps title of their choice, and sure you have a few suspicious titles in the glove box (though to be fair "Harley Quinn Appearing Patient" is not that bad of a title) but that one and Outlaw could cost you the neck now.

Anyway, everything is better than Market Thief, Sewer Rat, Bootlicker of the Rich, Contributor to Capitalism, Little Civilian's Helper and all those initial titles they gave you in your first missions

🐍Yandere!Hekate(General) Headcanons🔮:

Tw: Loosely based on Salem's witches’ hunt, Mention of hanging, Corruption, Unjust persecutions, Mention of blood, Yandere behaviors, Unhealthy relationships, Manipulation, Codependent relationships, Slight gore, Conditioning, Drugging via magic, Divine punishment, Minor characters�� deaths.

The conundrum they're currently in is gravely in every way possible. Thier coven and they are being hunted left and right, by the common folks .

They didn't know what to make of it. Anger at their ignorance, as they associate their beliefs to worshiping the devil and causing havoc.

When in reality, they wish no harm to anyone. In fact, they're peaceful and welcoming apart from those who indulge in dark magic to harm others.

So when a mass hysteria flooded the land, they became the scapegoat of the corrupted people of faith. Thus, they were picked one by one until few of them were remaining. Those few, including them, went into hiding to avoid persecution.

They've have been a devotee to Hecate since they're a young blood and were dazzled by the philosophy of the goddess.

Unlike her family, who worshipped Athena. Yet, they didn't mind. If anything, they supported them all the way.

They've have been raised with a loving foster family of witches, who took them in when they're left to starve in the cold wilds. Unfortunately, they hadn't survive the massacre.

They witnessed the trial, with tears cascading down their cheeks. As they watch their foster family that raised her with care being hanged with rope curling around their necks. Soon, their lives have left their body and cheers were heard. How could they cheer the death of other human beings? Don't they have any shred of humanity left within them?

Their heart was churning with boiling rage, soul poisoned with hatered, and hands twitching with the ill-intent to hex every priest they meet or will ever meet. They didn't fault the common folks, as they didn't know any better or did they have as much power as those "religious" institutions to resist their influence.

When the eventful day reached its end, they cried their heart out to the only person they knew well enough to care about them. Hecate. Usually, they'd offer lavender and pomegranate each day. Sometimes when they're bold and confident, a hymn of their own in her honor. However, today was grueling and cruel. Thus they were more desperate for her guidance. So, they offered their blood in hopes of invoking her presence. Yet, nobody came.

Sighing, they have bandaged their right wrist and then went to bed. Perhaps, she will answer them tomorrow. As they dwell haunted by the memory of their family in their sleep, a familiar voice was heard.

"Shhhhh, my lovely devotee. I see, hear, and feel your pain. It breaks my heart to see one of my most loyal griefing. I came here to warn and console you, that the village will be no more by tommorow night. I advise you to get away from as soon as possible. I'd rather not want you hurt."

I see Hekate as a smothering, manipulative, obsessive, and overprotective yandere. Her smothering/overprotective nature may stem as paranoia of seeing her beloved get kidnapped like Persephone. Ample that by tenfold, if a deity was after them. Or it could be due to her darling’s past misfortunes, which she will take care of immediately.

Hekate is neutral/ benevolent for the most part, unless aggravated. Harming her beloved, especially if they’re either weak or/and a witch, will definitely warrant her wrath. In some iteration, she is considered a child of Nyx. That should be enough warning not to mess with her. May-haps, turning her darling’s aggressors into mindless pigs will do or letting her familiars tear them apart and devour what’s left of their innards. That or ensuring they enter the burning hell that is Tartarus with slight convincing to Hades. Afterall, she works with him. (Alongside, Hermes and Thanatos.)

As much as she is to be reckoned with, she is still a woman of compassion. She took a pity at Galinthias, a woman turned into polecat due to her interference with Hera‘s plan to hinder Herakles birth, and adopted her as one of her familiars. I can see this happening with her darling, especially at the earlier stages of their relationship.

Whether they were abused in the past, or hunted down like in the scenario above. Hekate is an understanding person. So much, that it can be a vice in the future of their relationship.

As time grows, what started out as compassion reared into obsessive need to protect, to love, and most of all to keep them with her. How else would they be safe? How else would they truly be happy without her guidance? Simple, they couldn’t. Even if they could, she is shrewd enough to find a way that will make them gravitate toward her again.

Unlike other deities, she find the idea of punishments uncouth. In particularly, if physical and sexual abuse was involved. Hekate prefer to call it “persuasion”. That’s where her sympathetic nature turns into manipulation.

Perhaps her darling was misbehaving, then she will not answer them. Do not mistake, she is still there covering her presence with thick seams of magic. As much it tears her heart, she watches her darling‘s meltdowns apologizing and begging for her forgiveness. “Why. You do not need to ask. You already are forgiven, my beloved devotee.”

In some cases, she likely will use her magic to pacify or/and allude her darling into serenity and sleep. That way they don’t have to worry their little head about ”escaping” or seeking “freedom”. After all, it is better to succumb to a beautiful lie than to live a cruel reality. Wouldn’t you agree, my beloved?
