Argentine Forward Yamila Rodríguez Silences Critics Over Cristiano Ronaldo Tattoo
At the recent Women’s World Cup, Argentina’s star forward, Yamila Rodríguez, found herself in the center of a social media storm over her Cristiano Ronaldo tattoos. The 25-year-old player, known for her on-field prowess, has been facing criticism for proudly displaying a tattoo of Cristiano Ronaldo on her left shin, despite being a devoted supporter of her nation’s talisman, Lionel Messi. But…

Copa América Femenina 2022 Rounds 1-2
It's Copa América Femenina time in my account of Women's International soccer from July 2022. Check out Paraguay, who had a fantastic start to the tournament.

people on twitter have such an incredible ability to hate people i also hate in ways that are genuinely so stupid that i end up having to defend people i hate against them. its incredible
#like i literally hate yamila rodriguez and yet i KEEP having to defend her on twitter because people are being#SO misogynistic and also lack so much common sense. its incredible. its insane#she supported villa and hated on messi so i don't like her yes. but people genuinely think that this should get her#kicked out of the national team or that they shouldnt let her play more games until she apologizes like are you INSANE???#we're in the MIDDLE OF A WORLD CUP and there's ACTUAL RAPISTS playing by the DOZEN during men's#tournament with absolutely no problem but you're telling me we need to kick out one of our players MID WORLD CUP because#her opinions fucking suck?? what the fuck are you on? oh my fucking god#hermy posts

how do you think argentina will do? to be honest everything i’ve read about them in the last couple of days were bad headlines, like parts of the team only having arrived yesterday and having no time to deal with jet leg now and the usual yamila rodriguez hate (deserved)
I think we will try our best, we have good players and a lot of passion. Obviously we don't have unreachable goals like winning the whole thing. We'll play our game and fight for those three points in this tournament.
We can't count on the federation to do the right thing, like, I can't believe they choose to wait until the very last moment to travel. It's ridiculous, insulting.
And about Yami... I have my own opinion, I think she had controversial takes on things because she doesn't have the proper education to be as progressive as the world expects, she is a good kid and needs someone to guide her and explain some things. Then the hate she's receiving now is ridiculous because it started with a man hating on her bc she likes Cristiano.

The primary time Yamila Rodriguez’s head popped out of the dugout throughout Argentina’s recreation towards South Africa and her light-blue-tinted hair was seen within the stands, an Argentinian fan sitting close to my seat within the media tribune exclaimed: “Have a look at her, that one is the anti-Messi.” Rodriguez arrived in the Ladies’ Worl...

the amount of hate lorena and yamila receive is particular because their skills or views have nothing to do with the hate comments (well in yamila's case it is part of it, but that's a discussion for another day), it's because they dare to be footballers as well as butch lesbians. men don't see female footballers as athletes but as something they can only value as long as they fit cishet beauty standards, so when they see a woman being unapologetically masculine in a lesbian way, they lose their fucking minds because if they can't masturbate to them then they're of no use, and therefore should be treated as less than human.
#zyan ted talks#yamila rodriguez#lorena benitez#i went to yamila's tik tok page and the amount of people just#being horrible about yamila's looks and implying she wants to be a man is alarming#and the thing is none of the other girls get the same amount of hate#because they're not masculine to the same extent as lore and yamila#there was once a viral tweet of a man comparing yamila and an european footballer#that he didn't even know he probably just googled blonde footballers#and implied the european girls are better because they're feminine#and generalized arg women as horrible using a pic of yamila#it was a fucking shit show in the replies and qrtd

I think you're living in Argentina. Maybe you heard Yamila Rodriguez's name aka Ronaldo fangirl who tattooed her left leg + cursed Messi's mother after 2016 CA final lost and she said I am not hating Messi, CR7 is my inspiration. What do you think of her?
she's alright, i guess. we can't judge people for what they did a lifetime ago or who they find inspirational. it's shitty that she insulted messi? yeah. but there were a lot of them in those years. (it's also shitty that everyone started to remind that stuff in the MIDDLE of the wc. as if not supporting your national team wasn't enough). would i ever think cr7 is better than messi, let alone tattoo his whole face on my leg? no, but if she wants to she can !!!! anyways. vamos las pibas !!!!!
#the main problem i have with her is that she supports boca and its not even a real problem!!!!#c answers

In today's El País de Uruguay, Colombian forward Linda Caicedo was named the best player in the continent, beating out Bia Zaneratto (Palmeiras) and Yamila Rodriguez (Palmeiras, ex Boca Juniors). She won 76 of the possible 117 votes. Zaneratto received 21 and Rodriguez 20.
The newspaper said "at 18 years old, Linda Caicedo is one of the most outstanding players in the continent and the World. The truth today is she is the Queen of America"
To recap her 2022, she played in Both U17 (where Colombia made second place, the highest place in Colombia's history) and U20 World cups, as well as the senior squad Copa America where she was elected the best player of the tournament. After playing with the Senior Squad in the Mexico hosted Revelations Cup she was flown to Madrid where she signed with Real Madrid. Thus far she has 3 games under her belt and one goal in the Queen's cup.
She is expected to play for the senior squad in the upcoming World Cup where Colombia will be playing in a group with Germany, Morocco and South Korea.
--ESPN Deportes
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE QUEEN OF AMERICA, LINDA CAICEDO!
