Look at this Ashitaka I drew!!

Fun fact! When I started posting on tumblr I used to upload photos of the things I'd been drawing, but when I started posting about bookish stuff I ended up eliminating those posts. I don't draw as much as I used to now, mainly because I don't have time or I enough confidence to try something new. But, since I'm in a reading slump and I rewatched Princess mononoke today I decided to try and draw one of my favourite characters, and I'm really proud of how it turned out!! Some time ago I wouldn't have even thought of drawing a character in this position, and I finally showed myself that trusting in the process actually makes things turn well!!! And now I have a new excuse to draw more yakuls, one of my favourite ghibli creatures :)

Sometimes I feel as if I’m spiritually connected with Ghibli films. Like one of them will be whispering and beckoning for me to watch and OFC I will indulge!!

Tonight it was Princess Mononoke :)) I gotta let it simmer before I have all my thoughts but let’s just say that Studio Ghibli hasn’t failed me yet!

ALSO Yakul is literally the best?? I LOVE HIM!!

Here's a drawing of Yakul from Princess Mononoke I did a few months ago. Gosh, I just love him. He's by far my favourite character in the whole movie.

Didn't get as many pics as I might have liked, but here's a nice dump of some of the stuff we got up to!

We hit up a wildlife safari, got some lunch, went to a light house, a gem store with dinos out front, an actual dino place, and a few aquariums! Lots of fun.

I do have more pictures, although not an inordinate amount more, not enough for a full story, but let me know if you want some more of the pics. Lots of Otodus ones lol.
