Knight we are complete opposites. You thought of a wholesome scenario/good end to the battle while I immediately thought of angst. Also your writing makes me feel so many emotions at once, because Hilbert burning the cape and getting rid of the connection she has with the other champions is just ough. And then he goes and puts his own jacket on her shoulders, practically telling her she’s where she belongs and she’s safe now

But yeah the E4 finally doing good and helping out their champion, and calling the gym leaders as well. All of em fighting the 7 people they thought were supposed to protect them. But now those same people are playing with the lives of The Hero’s of Unova, a gym leader, a Pokémon researcher, the old King of Team Plasma, and their Champion. But the people like Caitlin who were close to one or more of the champions are just devastated over their true intentions. They thought the Champions were good people but they’re trying to kill a group of teens/young adults over the fact that one of them won’t conform to their orders

Now where it differs from your scenario is that Iris and Hilbert lost. Despite giving it their all and having two legendaries on their side, Diantha and the Pokémon of Death proved to be to strong. And while the other Champions were outnumbered they showed all of them why they’re considered the strongest trainers in their regions. Now with no one in her way Diantha can show Iris why she should’ve never crossed her

God just imagine the E4 and gym leaders finally realizing the extent of what Iris was dealing with. And now the Champions are threatening them, telling them that if any information about this gets out to anyone then they’ll regret it. They’ll come for them and whoever else knows. They’ll come after their families. And someone gets mad and yells about how they’re bluffing and they’d never do that, that murdering someone famous and well known is to risky and they couldn’t get away with it. And Diantha just looks at them and says how she’s not lying, and if they need proof they could ask Iris what truly happened to Drayden

A worse ending though would be if the Champions thought it would be to risky to let so many people go. And how it’s time they truly establish their power throughout the world, by starting with getting rid of the Unova League :)

PLEASE CAN YOU FUCKING IMAGINE THEM FINALLY FINDING OUT ABT DRAYDEN CNMDNXND IMAGINE HOW DEVASTATED ALDER WOULD BE MAN, LIKE HE AND DRAYDEN GO WAY BACK AND NOW HE FINDS OUT HIS CLOSEST FRIEND HAS BEEN KILLED IM NOT FUCKING OKAY CNMDNDND

Like one of the Gym Leaders saying that yeah, and then Dia just smiles at them, Garde and Gar on both her sides still in mega form, she puts a hand on her cheek and shakes her head, "why, to even doubt me for a second... Well, it can't be helped, what did I expect from Unovans," she laughed, then she looked at them, that goddamn smirk on her face, her eyes half lidded, sight fixated on the entirety of the Unova League, "perhaps you'd finally believe I've no problems taking you all out when my darling Iris tells you about what happened to Drayden." And yo that just breaking Iris tho, like she's there holding tight on to Hilbert, tears brimming her eyes, and Diantha just fucking loved it, "speechless, my dear? Of course, silly me, you're probably still tired from that battle. Worry not, I'll tell them," and she just goes full detail on what she and the other champions did, how they killed the former Opelucid Gym Leader, how they didn't even have to raise a finger against him, and it shows how weak he truly was.

God imagine that fucking up the Unova League, all this time they thought Drayden died bc it really was his time, but it wasn't supposed to be, he was killed, and god they could all feel the rage bubbling just beneath their skin. Imagine Alder just fucking losing it, going all out attacking Diantha w all that he got, and the League did so too, battling the other champions with this newfound rage and desperation to stop them

Only for Diantha to be so fed up w it, she calls out Yveltal again, and everyone fucking stopped, Dia's there staring down at everyone, "these are the people you want to protect, am I right, my dear?" Eyeing each and every member of the League, "how pitiful. You're here giving it your all to protect them, but they couldn't even get the people of Unova to stop hating you." And like cbdmdn imagine that surprising the League tho, cause what do you mean Iris was hated by the people, she never told them anything. Then Diantha smiles again, turning to Iris, "how about I do you this one favour again, darling. I'm sure the world could live without Unova." Snapping her fingers, Yveltal flew from the ground, readying its attack, the League didn't know what to do anymore, maybe this really was it, that this is their last battle, their last moments together, and god that fucked them up.

But just as she was abt to command Yveltal to attack, they all heard a desperate scream.

"ZEKROM! BOLT STRIKE!"

The Deep Black Pokémon finally free from its confines, glided towards Yveltal, grabbing both its wings and attacked him with all its might, effectively knocking it out.

And it caught Diantha off guard. She forgot. She forgot. She fucking forgot. There were three of them.

Her own rage seeping from their cage, she growled, "Giratina! Shadow Force!" And god the body horror Cynthia is experiencing tho, Giratina taking over her body, transforming to the pkmn itself, but neither he nor Cynthia are in control. Vanishing in thin air, everyone was on edge, not knowing where the Sinnoh Champion and the Renegade pkmn were. Until..

"Zekrom! Behind you!"

Bianca called just in time, Zekrom turned and got hold of Giratina's neck, grip tight as it slammed him to the ground. Zekrom flew back to Iris and Hilbert's side of the field, watching Diantha's eyes go wide in shock, this was the first time Iris ever saw Diantha like that.

Then just bcmxnx Cheren calling Hilbert and Iris, telling them abt the DNA Splicers, how it's the right time to use it, on all three of their dragons. Iris hesitated, so did Hilbert, then N had told them it's fine, that Reshiram and Zekrom would be happy to become one with Kyurem again, just for this battle, just to save everyone else. If they want to win this fight, then they need all the power they can get. God just bcmdnd imagine Iris and Hilbert holding up the DNA Splicers tho, and all three of their dragons finally fused, becoming one once again, their true form, The Original Dragon.

And everyone could only watch in awe and terror just how imposing the Great Dragon truly was, and it's staring down at everyone, awaiting for its trainers' commands.
