yknow what i love abt this community. we're good at supporting fanartists. like you'll go to someones blog who doesnt draw much dnp and their other art will have like 20, 30 notes, but then their dnp piece will have hundreds of notes! its rlly awesome like the community has grown a little bit since revival, but this is something i noticed even before the revival. i think specifically w fanartists who arent mega popular already, like if u think about a fanartist dropping art in a tag for a very popular fandom, that could just end up lost in the weeds of artists who already have an established following who draw for that same fandom. but then w dnp maybe its bc we're smaller but we're so good at supporting all fanart regardless if the artist is "Established" in the community or not, supporting at any skill level or medium like, its so sick.

last year i used to think it was sad that i was just drawing dnp instead of other interests bc i got likes and notes on my dnp stuff while i get zilch on my main acct lol. and while i still hope i draw more than just dnp this year (uhhh praying that i can draw much this year), i think now its more like, i really enjoy the fact that yall support my art and it means a lot to me cuz ive been drawing for a really long time and never really gotten any sort of Engagement with my art, which i was fine with, but now that theres ppl around who i know enjoy my stuff im like :D yippeeeee
